Today's Date: ======= Ecclesiastes 12:1 ============ Ecl 12:1 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no delight in them"; (nasb) Ecl 12:1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them": (nkjv) Ecl 12:1 Gedenke an deinen Schöpfer in deiner Jugend, ehe denn die bösen Tage kommen und die Jahre herzutreten, da du wirst sagen: Sie gefallen mir nicht;(dhs) Ecl 12:1 καὶ μνήσθητι τοῦ κτίσαντός σε ἐν ἡμέραις νεότητός σου ἕως ὅτου μὴ ἔλθωσιν ἡμέραι τῆς κακίας καὶ φθάσωσιν ἔτη ἐν οἷς ἐρεῖς οὐκ ἔστιν μοι ἐν αὐτοῖς θέλημα (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:2 ============ Ecl 12:2 before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain; (nasb) Ecl 12:2 While the sun and the light, The moon and the stars, Are not darkened, And the clouds do not return after the rain; (nkjv) Ecl 12:2 ehe denn die Sonne und das Licht, Mond und Sterne finster werden und Wolken wieder kommen nach dem Regen;(dhs) Ecl 12:2 ἕως οὗ μὴ σκοτισθῇ ὁ ἥλιος καὶ τὸ φῶς καὶ ἡ σελήνη καὶ οἱ ἀστέρες καὶ ἐπιστρέψωσιν τὰ νέφη ὀπίσω τοῦ ὑετοῦ (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:3 ============ Ecl 12:3 in the day that the watchmen of the house tremble, and mighty men stoop, the grinding ones stand idle because they are few, and those who look through windows grow dim; (nasb) Ecl 12:3 In the day when the keepers of the house tremble, And the strong men bow down; When the grinders cease because they are few, And those that look through the windows grow dim; (nkjv) Ecl 12:3 zur Zeit, wenn die Hüter im Hause zittern, und sich krümmen die Starken, und müßig stehen die Müller, weil ihrer so wenig geworden sind, und finster werden, die durch die Fenster sehen,(dhs) Ecl 12:3 ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ᾗ ἐὰν σαλευθῶσιν φύλακες τῆς οἰκίας καὶ διαστραφῶσιν ἄνδρες τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ ἤργησαν αἱ ἀλήθουσαι ὅτι ὠλιγώθησαν καὶ σκοτάσουσιν αἱ βλέπουσαι ἐν ταῖς ὀπαῖς (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:4 ============ Ecl 12:4 and the doors on the street are shut as the sound of the grinding mill is low, and one will arise at the sound of the bird, and all the daughters of song will sing softly. (nasb) Ecl 12:4 When the doors are shut in the streets, And the sound of grinding is low; When one rises up at the sound of a bird, And all the daughters of music are brought low; (nkjv) Ecl 12:4 und die Türen an der Gasse geschlossen werden, daß die Stimme der Mühle leise wird, und man erwacht, wenn der Vogel singt, und gedämpft sind alle Töchter des Gesangs;(dhs) Ecl 12:4 καὶ κλείσουσιν θύρας ἐν ἀγορᾷ ἐν ἀσθενείᾳ φωνῆς τῆς ἀληθούσης καὶ ἀναστήσεται εἰς φωνὴν τοῦ στρουθίου καὶ ταπεινωθήσονται πᾶσαι αἱ θυγατέρες τοῦ ᾄσματος (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:5 ============ Ecl 12:5 Furthermore, men are afraid of a high place and of terrors on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags himself along, and the caperberry is ineffective. For man goes to his eternal home while mourners go about in the street. (nasb) Ecl 12:5 Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets. (nkjv) Ecl 12:5 wenn man auch vor Höhen sich fürchtet und sich scheut auf dem Wege; wenn der Mandelbaum blüht, und die Heuschrecke beladen wird, und alle Lust vergeht (denn der Mensch fährt hin, da er ewig bleibt, und die Klageleute gehen umher auf der Gasse);(dhs) Ecl 12:5 καί γε ἀπὸ ὕψους ὄψονται καὶ θάμβοι ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ ἀνθήσῃ τὸ ἀμύγδαλον καὶ παχυνθῇ ἡ ἀκρίς καὶ διασκεδασθῇ ἡ κάππαρις ὅτι ἐπορεύθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰς οἶκον αἰῶνος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκύκλωσαν ἐν ἀγορᾷ οἱ κοπτόμενοι (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:6 ============ Ecl 12:6 Remember Him before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the well is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed; (nasb) Ecl 12:6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. (nkjv) Ecl 12:6 ehe denn der silberne Strick wegkomme, und die goldene Schale zerbreche, und der Eimer zerfalle an der Quelle, und das Rad zerbrochen werde am Born.(dhs) Ecl 12:6 ἕως ὅτου μὴ ἀνατραπῇ σχοινίον τοῦ ἀργυρίου καὶ συνθλιβῇ ἀνθέμιον τοῦ χρυσίου καὶ συντριβῇ ὑδρία ἐπὶ τὴν πηγήν καὶ συντροχάσῃ ὁ τροχὸς ἐπὶ τὸν λάκκον (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 12:7 ============ Ecl 12:7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
