Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 9:1 ============ Isa 9:1 But there will be no more gloom for her who was in anguish; in earlier times He treated the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali with contempt, but later on He shall make it glorious, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. (nasb) Isa 9:1 Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, As when at first He lightly esteemed The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, And afterward more heavily oppressed her, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles. (nkjv) Isa 9:1 Doch es wird nicht dunkel bleiben über denen, die in Angst sind. Hat er zur vorigen Zeit gering gemacht das Land Sebulon und das Land Naphthali, so wird er es hernach zu Ehren bringen, den Weg am Meere, das Land jenseit des Jordans, der Heiden Galiläa.(dhs) Isa 9:1 καὶ οὐκ ἀπορηθήσεται ὁ ἐν στενοχωρίᾳ ὢν ἕως καιροῦ τοῦτο πρῶτον ποίει ταχὺ ποίει χώρα Ζαβουλων ἡ γῆ Νεφθαλιμ ὁδὸν θαλάσσης καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ οἱ τὴν παραλίαν κατοικοῦντες καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου Γαλιλαία τῶν ἐθνῶν τὰ μέρη τῆς Ιουδαίας (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:2 ============ Isa 9:2 The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. (nasb) Isa 9:2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. (nkjv) Isa 9:2 Das Volk das im Finstern wandelt, sieht ein großes Licht; und über die da wohnen im finstern Lande, scheint es hell.(dhs) Isa 9:2 ὁ λαὸς ὁ πορευόμενος ἐν σκότει ἴδετε φῶς μέγα οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν χώρᾳ καὶ σκιᾷ θανάτου φῶς λάμψει ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:3 ============ Isa 9:3 You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. (nasb) Isa 9:3 You have multiplied the nation And increased its joy; They rejoice before You According to the joy of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. (nkjv) Isa 9:3 Du machst des Volkes viel; du machst groß seine Freude. Vor dir wird man sich freuen, wie man sich freut in der Ernte, wie man fröhlich ist, wenn man Beute austeilt.(dhs) Isa 9:3 τὸ πλεῖστον τοῦ λαοῦ ὃ κατήγαγες ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ σου καὶ εὐφρανθήσονται ἐνώπιόν σου ὡς οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐν ἀμήτῳ καὶ ὃν τρόπον οἱ διαιρούμενοι σκῦλα (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:4 ============ Isa 9:4 For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. (nasb) Isa 9:4 For You have broken the yoke of his burden And the staff of his shoulder, The rod of his oppressor, As in the day of Midian. (nkjv) Isa 9:4 Denn du hast das Joch ihrer Last und die Rute ihrer Schulter und den Stecken ihres Treibers zerbrochen wie zur Zeit Midians.(dhs) Isa 9:4 διότι ἀφῄρηται ὁ ζυγὸς ὁ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῶν κείμενος καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος ἡ ἐπὶ τοῦ τραχήλου αὐτῶν τὴν γὰρ ῥάβδον τῶν ἀπαιτούντων διεσκέδασεν κύριος ὡς τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἐπὶ Μαδιαμ (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:5 ============ Isa 9:5 For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. (nasb) Isa 9:5 For every warrior's sandal from the noisy battle, And garments rolled in blood, Will be used for burning and fuel of fire. (nkjv) Isa 9:5 Denn alle Rüstung derer, die sich mit Ungestüm rüsten, und die blutigen Kleider werden verbrannt und mit Feuer verzehrt werden.(dhs) Isa 9:5 ὅτι πᾶσαν στολὴν ἐπισυνηγμένην δόλῳ καὶ ἱμάτιον μετὰ καταλλαγῆς ἀποτείσουσιν καὶ θελήσουσιν εἰ ἐγενήθησαν πυρίκαυστοι (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:6 ============ Isa 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (nasb) Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (nkjv) Isa 9:6 Denn uns ist ein Kind geboren, ein Sohn ist uns gegeben, und die Herrschaft ist auf seiner Schulter; er heißt Wunderbar, Rat, Held, Ewig-Vater Friedefürst;(dhs) Isa 9:6 ὅτι παιδίον ἐγεννήθη ἡμῖν υἱὸς καὶ ἐδόθη ἡμῖν οὗ ἡ ἀρχὴ ἐγενήθη ἐπὶ τοῦ ὤμου αὐτοῦ καὶ καλεῖται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ μεγάλης βουλῆς ἄγγελος ἐγὼ γὰρ ἄξω εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας εἰρήνην καὶ ὑγίειαν αὐτῷ (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:7 ============ Isa 9:7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this. (nasb) Isa 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (nkjv) Isa 9:7 auf daß seine Herrschaft groß werde und des Friedens kein Ende auf dem Stuhl Davids und in seinem Königreich, daß er's zurichte und stärke mit Gericht und Gerechtigkeit von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. Solches wird tun der Eifer des HERRN Zebaoth.(dhs) Isa 9:7 μεγάλη ἡ ἀρχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ τῆς εἰρήνης αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν ὅριον ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον Δαυιδ καὶ τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ κατορθῶσαι αὐτὴν καὶ ἀντιλαβέσθαι αὐτῆς ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἐν κρίματι ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον ὁ ζῆλος κυρίου σαβαωθ ποιήσει ταῦτα (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:8 ============ Isa 9:8 The Lord sends a message against Jacob, And it falls on Israel. (nasb) Isa 9:8 The Lord sent a word against Jacob, And it has fallen on Israel. (nkjv) Isa 9:8 Der HERR hat sein Wort gesandt in Jakob, und es ist in Israel gefallen,(dhs) Isa 9:8 θάνατον ἀπέστειλεν κύριος ἐπὶ Ιακωβ καὶ ἦλθεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:9 ============ Isa 9:9 And all the people know it, That is, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, Asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart: (nasb) Isa 9:9 All the people will know-- Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria-- Who say in pride and arrogance of heart: (nkjv) Isa 9:9 daß alles Volk es innewerde, Ephraim und die Bürger zu Samaria, die da sagen in Hochmut und stolzem Sinn:(dhs) Isa 9:9 καὶ γνώσονται πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τοῦ Εφραιμ καὶ οἱ ἐγκαθήμενοι ἐν Σαμαρείᾳ ἐφ᾽ ὕβρει καὶ ὑψηλῇ καρδίᾳ λέγοντες (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:10 ============ Isa 9:10 "The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars." (nasb) Isa 9:10 "The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars." (nkjv) Isa 9:10 Ziegelsteine sind gefallen, aber wir wollen's mit Werkstücken wieder bauen; man hat Maulbeerbäume abgehauen, so wollen wir Zedern an die Stelle setzen.(dhs) Isa 9:10 πλίνθοι πεπτώκασιν ἀλλὰ δεῦτε λαξεύσωμεν λίθους καὶ ἐκκόψωμεν συκαμίνους καὶ κέδρους καὶ οἰκοδομήσωμεν ἑαυτοῖς πύργον (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:11 ============ Isa 9:11 Therefore the Lord raises against them adversaries from Rezin And spurs their enemies on, (nasb) Isa 9:11 Therefore the Lord shall set up The adversaries of Rezin against him, And spur his enemies on, (nkjv) Isa 9:11 Denn der HERR wird Rezins Kriegsvolk wider sie erhöhen und ihre Feinde zuhauf ausrotten:(dhs) Isa 9:11 καὶ ῥάξει ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἐπανιστανομένους ἐπ᾽ ὄρος Σιων ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτῶν διασκεδάσει (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:12 ============ Isa 9:12 The Arameans on the east and the Philistines on the west; And they devour Israel with gaping jaws. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out. (nasb) Isa 9:12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. (nkjv) Isa 9:12 die Syrer vorneher und die Philister hintenzu, daß sie Israel fressen mit vollem Maul. In dem allem läßt sein Zorn noch nicht ab; seine Hand ist noch ausgereckt.(dhs) Isa 9:12 Συρίαν ἀφ᾽ ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν καὶ τοὺς Ἕλληνας ἀφ᾽ ἡλίου δυσμῶν τοὺς κατεσθίοντας τὸν Ισραηλ ὅλῳ τῷ στόματι ἐπὶ τούτοις πᾶσιν οὐκ ἀπεστράφη ὁ θυμός ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι ἡ χεὶρ ὑψηλή (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:13 ============ Isa 9:13 Yet the people do not turn back to Him who struck them, Nor do they seek the Lord of hosts. (nasb) Isa 9:13 For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, Nor do they seek the Lord of hosts. (nkjv) Isa 9:13 So kehrt sich das Volk auch nicht zu dem, der es schlägt, und fragen nicht nach dem HERRN Zebaoth.(dhs) Isa 9:13 καὶ ὁ λαὸς οὐκ ἀπεστράφη ἕως ἐπλήγη καὶ τὸν κύριον οὐκ ἐξεζήτησαν (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:14 ============ Isa 9:14 So the Lord cuts off head and tail from Israel, Both palm branch and bulrush in a single day. (nasb) Isa 9:14 Therefore the Lord will cut off head and tail from Israel, Palm branch and bulrush in one day. (nkjv) Isa 9:14 Darum wird der HERR abhauen von Israel beide, Kopf und Schwanz, beide, Ast und Stumpf, auf einen Tag.(dhs) Isa 9:14 καὶ ἀφεῖλεν κύριος ἀπὸ Ισραηλ κεφαλὴν καὶ οὐράν μέγαν καὶ μικρὸν ἐν μιᾷ ἡμέρᾳ (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:15 ============ Isa 9:15 The head is the elder and honorable man, And the prophet who teaches falsehood is the tail. (nasb) Isa 9:15 The elder and honorable, he is the head; The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. (nkjv) Isa 9:15 Die alten und vornehmen Leute sind der Kopf; die Propheten aber, so falsch lehren, sind der Schwanz.(dhs) Isa 9:15 πρεσβύτην καὶ τοὺς τὰ πρόσωπα θαυμάζοντας αὕτη ἡ ἀρχή καὶ προφήτην διδάσκοντα ἄνομα οὗτος ἡ οὐρά (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:16 ============ Isa 9:16 For those who guide this people are leading them astray; And those who are guided by them are brought to confusion. (nasb) Isa 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed. (nkjv) Isa 9:16 Denn die Leiter dieses Volks sind Verführer; und die sich leiten lassen, sind verloren.(dhs) Isa 9:16 καὶ ἔσονται οἱ μακαρίζοντες τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον πλανῶντες καὶ πλανῶσιν ὅπως καταπίωσιν αὐτούς (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:17 ============ Isa 9:17 Therefore the Lord does not take pleasure in their young men, Nor does He have pity on their orphans or their widows; For every one of them is godless and an evildoer, And every mouth is speaking foolishness. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out. (nasb) Isa 9:17 Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows; For everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, And every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. (nkjv) Isa 9:17 Darum kann sich der HERR über die junge Mannschaft nicht freuen noch ihrer Waisen und Witwen erbarmen; denn sie sind allzumal Heuchler und böse, und aller Mund redet Torheit. In dem allem läßt sein Zorn noch nicht ab; seine Hand ist noch ausgereckt.(dhs) Isa 9:17 διὰ τοῦτο ἐπὶ τοὺς νεανίσκους αὐτῶν οὐκ εὐφρανθήσεται ὁ θεὸς καὶ τοὺς ὀρφανοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς χήρας αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐλεήσει ὅτι πάντες ἄνομοι καὶ πονηροί καὶ πᾶν στόμα λαλεῖ ἄδικα ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τούτοις οὐκ ἀπεστράφη ὁ θυμός ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι ἡ χεὶρ ὑψηλή (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:18 ============ Isa 9:18 For wickedness burns like a fire; It consumes briars and thorns; It even sets the thickets of the forest aflame And they roll upward in a column of smoke. (nasb) Isa 9:18 For wickedness burns as the fire; It shall devour the briers and thorns, And kindle in the thickets of the forest; They shall mount up like rising smoke. (nkjv) Isa 9:18 Denn das gottlose Wesen ist angezündet wie Feuer und verzehrt Dornen und Hecken und brennt wie im dicken Wald und gibt hohen Rauch.(dhs) Isa 9:18 καὶ καυθήσεται ὡς πῦρ ἡ ἀνομία καὶ ὡς ἄγρωστις ξηρὰ βρωθήσεται ὑπὸ πυρός καὶ καυθήσεται ἐν τοῖς δάσεσι τοῦ δρυμοῦ καὶ συγκαταφάγεται τὰ κύκλῳ τῶν βουνῶν πάντα (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:19 ============ Isa 9:19 By the fury of the Lord of hosts the land is burned up, And the people are like fuel for the fire; No man spares his brother. (nasb) Isa 9:19 Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts The land is burned up, And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother. (nkjv) Isa 9:19 Im Zorn des HERRN Zebaoth ist das Land verfinstert, daß das Volk ist wie Speise des Feuers; keiner schont des andern.(dhs) Isa 9:19 διὰ θυμὸν ὀργῆς κυρίου συγκέκαυται ἡ γῆ ὅλη καὶ ἔσται ὁ λαὸς ὡς ὑπὸ πυρὸς κατακεκαυμένος ἄνθρωπος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐλεήσει (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:20 ============ Isa 9:20 They slice off what is on the right hand but still are hungry, And they eat what is on the left hand but they are not satisfied; Each of them eats the flesh of his own arm. (nasb) Isa 9:20 And he shall snatch on the right hand And be hungry; He shall devour on the left hand And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. Ein jeglicher frißt das Fleisch seines Arms:(dhs) Isa 9:20 ἀλλὰ ἐκκλινεῖ εἰς τὰ δεξιά ὅτι πεινάσει καὶ φάγεται ἐκ τῶν ἀριστερῶν καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐμπλησθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἔσθων τὰς σάρκας τοῦ βραχίονος αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Isaiah 9:21 ============ Isa 9:21 Manasseh devours Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh, And together they are against Judah. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out. (nasb) Isa 9:21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. (nkjv) Isa 9:21 Manasse den Ephraim, Ephraim den Manasse, und sie beide miteinander wider Juda.
