(nasb-1995) Job 24:1 διὰ τί δὲ κύριον ἔλαθον ὧραι (lxx) Job 24:1 [Ab Omnipotente non sunt abscondita tempora: qui autem noverunt eum, ignorant dies illius.(Vulgate) Job 24:1 Warum sind von dem Allmächtigen nicht Zeiten vorbehalten, und warum sehen, die ihn kennen, seine Tage nicht?(dhs) 1 ׃24 מַדּ֗וּעַ מִ֭שַׁדַּי[t] לֹא־נִצְפְּנ֣וּ עִתִּ֑ים *וידעו **וְ֝יֹדְעָ֗יו לֹא־חָ֥זוּ יָמָֽיו׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:1 "Since times are not hidden from the Almighty, Why do those who know Him see not His days?(nkjv) ======= Job 24:2 ============ Job 24:2 "Some remove the landmarks; They seize and devour flocks.(nasb-1995) Job 24:2 ἀσεβεῖς δὲ ὅριον ὑπερέβησαν ποίμνιον σὺν ποιμένι ἁρπάσαντες (lxx) Job 24:2 Alii terminos transtulerunt; diripuerunt greges, et paverunt eos.(Vulgate) Job 24:2 Man verrückt die Grenzen, raubt die Herde und weidet sie.(dhs) 2 ׃24 גְּבֻל֥וֹת יַשִּׂ֑יגוּ עֵ֥דֶר גָּ֝זְל֗וּ וַיִּרְעֽוּ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:2 "Some remove landmarks; They seize flocks violently and feed on them;(nkjv) ======= Job 24:3 ============ Job 24:3 "They drive away the donkeys of the orphans; They take the widow's ox for a pledge.(nasb-1995) Job 24:3 ὑποζύγιον ὀρφανῶν ἀπήγαγον καὶ βοῦν χήρας ἠνεχύρασαν (lxx) Job 24:3 Asinum pupillorum abegerunt, et abstulerunt pro pignore bovem viduæ.(Vulgate) Job 24:3 Sie treiben der Waisen Esel weg und nehmen der Witwe Ochsen zum Pfande.(dhs) 3 ׃24 חֲמ֣וֹר יְתוֹמִ֣ים יִנְהָ֑גוּ יַ֝חְבְּל֗וּ שׁ֣וֹר אַלְמָנָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:3 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless; They take the widow's ox as a pledge.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:4 ============ Job 24:4 "They push the needy aside from the road; The poor of the land are made to hide themselves altogether.(nasb-1995) Job 24:4 ἐξέκλιναν ἀδυνάτους ἐξ ὁδοῦ δικαίας ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐκρύβησαν πραεῖς γῆς (lxx) Job 24:4 Subverterunt pauperum viam, et oppresserunt pariter mansuetos terræ.(Vulgate) Job 24:4 Die Armen müssen ihnen weichen, und die Dürftigen im Lande müssen sich verkriechen.(dhs) 4 ׃24 יַטּ֣וּ אֶבְיוֹנִ֣ים מִדָּ֑רֶךְ יַ֥חַד חֻ֝בְּא֗וּ עֲנִיֵּי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:4 They push the needy off the road; All the poor of the land are forced to hide.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:5 ============ Job 24:5 "Behold, as wild donkeys in the wilderness They go forth seeking food in their activity, As bread for their children in the desert.(nasb-1995) Job 24:5 ἀπέβησαν δὲ ὥσπερ ὄνοι ἐν ἀγρῷ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ ἐξελθόντες τὴν ἑαυτῶν πρᾶξιν ἡδύνθη αὐτῷ ἄρτος εἰς νεωτέρους (lxx) Job 24:5 Alii quasi onagri in deserto egrediuntur ad opus suum: vigilantes ad prædam, præparant panem liberis.(Vulgate) Job 24:5 Siehe, wie Wildesel in der Wüste gehen sie hinaus an ihr Werk und suchen Nahrung; die Einöde gibt ihnen Speise für ihre Kinder.(dhs) 5 ׃24 הֵ֤ן פְּרָאִ֨ים ׀ בַּ֥מִּדְבָּ֗ר יָצְא֣וּ בְּ֭פָעֳלָם מְשַׁחֲרֵ֣י לַטָּ֑רֶף עֲרָבָ֥ה ל֥וֹ לֶ֝֗חֶם לַנְּעָרִֽים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:5 Indeed, like wild donkeys in the desert, They go out to their work, searching for food. Yet God does not pay attention to folly.(nasb-1995) Job 24:12 οἳ ἐκ πόλεως καὶ οἴκων ἰδίων ἐξεβάλλοντο ψυχὴ δὲ νηπίων ἐστέναξεν μέγα αὐτὸς δὲ διὰ τί τούτων ἐπισκοπὴν οὐ πεποίηται (lxx) Job 24:12 De civitatibus fecerunt viros gemere, et anima vulneratorum clamavit: et Deus inultum abire non patitur.(Vulgate) Job 24:12 Sie machen die Leute in der Stadt seufzend und die Seele der Erschlagenen schreiend, und Gott stürzt sie nicht.(dhs) 12 ׃24 מֵ֘עִ֤יר מְתִ֨ים ׀ יִנְאָ֗קוּ וְנֶֽפֶשׁ־חֲלָלִ֥ים תְּשַׁוֵּ֑עַ וֶ֝אֱל֗וֹהַּ לֹא־יָשִׂ֥ים תִּפְלָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:12 The dying groan in the city, And the souls of the wounded cry out; Yet God does not charge them with wrong.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:13 ============ Job 24:13 "Others have been with those who rebel against the light; They do not want to know its ways Nor abide in its paths.(nasb-1995) Job 24:13 ἐπὶ γῆς ὄντων αὐτῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐπέγνωσαν ὁδὸν δὲ δικαιοσύνης οὐκ ᾔδεισαν οὐδὲ ἀτραποὺς αὐτῆς ἐπορεύθησαν (lxx) Job 24:13 Ipsi fuerunt rebelles lumini: nescierunt vias ejus, nec reversi sunt per semitas ejus.(Vulgate) Job 24:13 Jene sind abtrünnig geworden vom Licht und kennen seinen Weg nicht und kehren nicht wieder zu seiner Straße.(dhs) 13 ׃24 הֵ֤מָּה ׀ הָיוּ֮ בְּֽמֹרְדֵ֫י־א֥וֹר לֹֽא־הִכִּ֥ירוּ דְרָכָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יָ֝שְׁב֗וּ בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:13 "There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways Nor abide in its paths.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:14 ============ Job 24:14 "The murderer arises at dawn; He kills the poor and the needy, And at night he is as a thief.(nasb-1995) Job 24:14 γνοὺς δὲ αὐτῶν τὰ ἔργα παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς εἰς σκότος καὶ νυκτὸς ἔσται ὡς κλέπτης (lxx) Job 24:14 Mane primo consurgit homicida; interficit egenum et pauperem: per noctem vero erit quasi fur.(Vulgate) Job 24:14 Wenn der Tag anbricht, steht auf der Mörder und erwürgt den Armen und Dürftigen; und des Nachts ist er wie ein Dieb.(dhs) 14 ׃24 לָא֡וֹר יָ֘ק֤וּם רוֹצֵ֗חַ יִֽקְטָל־עָנִ֥י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן וּ֝בַלַּ֗יְלָה יְהִ֣י כַגַּנָּֽב׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:14 The murderer rises with the light; He kills the poor and needy; And in the night he is like a thief.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:15 ============ Job 24:15 "The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, 'No eye will see me.' And he disguises his face.(nasb-1995) Job 24:15 καὶ ὀφθαλμὸς μοιχοῦ ἐφύλαξεν σκότος λέγων οὐ προσνοήσει με ὀφθαλμός καὶ ἀποκρυβὴν προσώπου ἔθετο (lxx) Job 24:15 Oculus adulteri observat caliginem, dicens: Non me videbit oculus: et operiet vultum suum.(Vulgate) Job 24:15 Das Auge des Ehebrechers hat acht auf das Dunkel, und er spricht: "Mich sieht kein Auge", und verdeckt sein Antlitz.(dhs) 15 ׃24 וְעֵ֤ין נֹאֵ֨ף ׀ שָׁ֤מְרָֽה נֶ֣שֶׁף לֵ֭אמֹר לֹא־תְשׁוּרֵ֣נִי עָ֑יִן וְסֵ֖תֶר פָּנִ֣ים יָשִֽׂים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:15 The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, 'No eye will see me'; And he disguises his face.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:16 ============ Job 24:16 "In the dark they dig into houses, They shut themselves up by day; They do not know the light.(nasb-1995) Job 24:16 διώρυξεν ἐν σκότει οἰκίας ἡμέρας ἐσφράγισαν ἑαυτούς οὐκ ἐπέγνωσαν φῶς (lxx) Job 24:16 Perfodit in tenebris domos, sicut in die condixerant sibi, et ignoraverunt lucem.(Vulgate) Job 24:16 Im Finstern bricht man in die Häuser ein; des Tages verbergen sie sich miteinander und scheuen das Licht.(dhs) 16 ׃24 חָתַ֥ר בַּחֹ֗שֶׁךְ בָּ֫תִּ֥ים יוֹמָ֥ם חִתְּמוּ־לָ֗מוֹ לֹא־יָ֥דְעוּ אֽוֹר׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:16 In the dark they break into houses Which they marked for themselves in the daytime; They do not know the light.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:17 ============ Job 24:17 "For the morning is the same to him as thick darkness, For he is familiar with the terrors of thick darkness.(nasb-1995) Job 24:17 ὅτι ὁμοθυμαδὸν τὸ πρωὶ αὐτοῖς σκιὰ θανάτου ὅτι ἐπιγνώσεται ταραχὰς σκιᾶς θανάτου (lxx) Job 24:17 Si subito apparuerit aurora, arbitrantur umbram mortis: et sic in tenebris quasi in luce ambulant.(Vulgate) Job 24:17 Denn wie wenn der Morgen käme, ist ihnen allen die Finsternis; denn sie sind bekannt mit den Schrecken der Finsternis.(dhs) 17 ׃24 כִּ֤י יַחְדָּ֨ו ׀ בֹּ֣קֶר לָ֣מוֹ צַלְמָ֑וֶת כִּֽי־יַ֝כִּ֗יר בַּלְה֥וֹת צַלְמָֽוֶת׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:17 For the morning is the same to them as the shadow of death; If someone recognizes them, They are in the terrors of the shadow of death.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:18 ============ Job 24:18 "They are insignificant on the surface of the water; Their portion is cursed on the earth. They do not turn toward the vineyards.(nasb-1995) Job 24:18 ἐλαφρός ἐστιν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ὕδατος καταραθείη ἡ μερὶς αὐτῶν ἐπὶ γῆς (lxx) Job 24:18 Levis est super faciem aquæ: maledicta sit pars ejus in terra, nec ambulet per viam vinearum.(Vulgate) Job 24:18 "Er fährt leicht wie auf einem Wasser dahin; seine Habe wird gering im Lande, und er baut seinen Weinberg nicht.(dhs) 18 ׃24 קַֽל־ה֤וּא ׀ עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֗יִם תְּקֻלַּ֣ל חֶלְקָתָ֣ם בָּאָ֑רֶץ לֹֽא־יִ֝פְנֶה דֶּ֣רֶךְ כְּרָמִֽים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:18 "They should be swift on the face of the waters, Their portion should be cursed in the earth, So that no one would turn into the way of their vineyards.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:19 ============ Job 24:19 "Drought and heat consume the snow waters, So does Sheol those who have sinned.(nasb-1995) Job 24:19 ἀναφανείη δὲ τὰ φυτὰ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ γῆς ξηρά ἀγκαλίδα γὰρ ὀρφανῶν ἥρπασαν (lxx) Job 24:19 Ad nimium calorem transeat ab aquis nivium, et usque ad inferos peccatum illius.(Vulgate) Job 24:19 Der Tod nimmt weg, die da sündigen, wie die Hitze und Dürre das Schneewasser verzehrt.(dhs) 19 ׃24 צִיָּ֤ה גַם־חֹ֗ם יִגְזְל֥וּ מֵֽימֵי־שֶׁ֗לֶג שְׁא֣וֹל חָטָֽאוּ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 24:19 As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So the grave consumes those who have sinned.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:20 ============ Job 24:20 "A mother will forget him; The worm feeds sweetly till he is no longer remembered. And wickedness will be broken like a tree.(nasb-1995) Job 24:20 εἶτ᾽ ἀνεμνήσθη αὐτοῦ ἡ ἁμαρτία ὥσπερ δὲ ὁμίχλη δρόσου ἀφανὴς ἐγένετο ἀποδοθείη δὲ αὐτῷ ἃ ἔπραξεν συντριβείη δὲ πᾶς ἄδικος ἴσα ξύλῳ ἀνιάτῳ (lxx) Job 24:20 Obliviscatur ejus misericordia; dulcedo illius vermes: non sit in recordatione, sed conteratur quasi lignum infructuosum.(Vulgate) Job 24:20 Der Mutterschoß vergißt sein; die Würmer haben ihre Lust an ihm.
