Today's Date: ======= Amos 7:1 ============ Amo 7:1 Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, He was forming a locust-swarm when the spring crop began to sprout. And behold, the spring crop was after the king's mowing.(nasb) Amo 7:1 Hæc ostendit mihi Dominus Deus: et ecce fictor locustæ in principio germinantium serotini imbris, et ecce serotinus post tonsionem regis.(vulgate) Amós 7:1 Así me ha mostrado el Señor Jehová; y he aquí, Él criaba langostas al principio que comenzaba a crecer el heno tardío; y he aquí, era el heno tardío después de las siegas del rey.(E) Amos 7:1 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, m'envoya cette vision. Voici, il formait des sauterelles, Au moment où le regain commençait à croître; C'était le regain après la coupe du roi.(F) Amo 7:1 Der HERR HERR zeigte mir ein Gesicht, und siehe, da stand einer, der machte Heuschrecken im Anfang, da das Grummet aufging; und siehe, das Grummet stand, nachdem der König hatte mähen lassen.(D) Amo 7:1 οὕτως ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπιγονὴ ἀκρίδων ἐρχομένη ἑωθινή καὶ ἰδοὺ βροῦχος εἷς Γωγ ὁ βασιλεύς(lxx) Amo 7:1 Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at the beginning of the late crop; indeed it was the late crop after the king's mowings.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:2 ============ Amo 7:2 And it came about, when it had finished eating the vegetation of the land, that I said, "Lord God, please pardon! How can Jacob stand, For he is small?"(nasb) Amo 7:2 Et factum est, cum consummasset comedere herbam terræ, dixi: Domine Deus, propitius esto, obsecro; quis suscitabit Jacob, quia parvulus est?(vulgate) Amós 7:2 Y aconteció que cuando acabaron de comer la hierba de la tierra, yo dije: Señor Jehová, perdona, te ruego; ¿quién levantará a Jacob? Porque es pequeño.(E) Amos 7:2 Et comme elles dévoraient entièrement l'herbe de la terre, Je dis: Seigneur Eternel, pardonne donc! Comment Jacob subsistera-t-il? Car il est si faible!(F) Amo 7:2 Als sie nun das Kraut im Lande gar abgefressen hatten, sprach ich: Ach HERR HERR, sei gnädig! Wer will Jakob wieder aufhelfen? denn er ist ja gering.(D) Amo 7:2 καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν συντελέσῃ τοῦ καταφαγεῖν τὸν χόρτον τῆς γῆς καὶ εἶπα κύριε κύριε ἵλεως γενοῦ τίς ἀναστήσει τὸν Ιακωβ ὅτι ὀλιγοστός ἐστιν(lxx) Amo 7:2 And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said: "O Lord God, forgive, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!"(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:3 ============ Amo 7:3 The Lord changed His mind about this. "It shall not be," said the Lord.(nasb) Amo 7:3 Misertus est Dominus super hoc: Non erit, dixit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 7:3 Se arrepintió Jehová de esto: No será [así], dice Jehová.(E) Amos 7:3 L'Eternel se repentit de cela. "It shall not be," said the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:4 ============ Amo 7:4 Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, the Lord God was calling to contend with them by fire, and it consumed the great deep and began to consume the farm land.(nasb) Amo 7:4 Hæc ostendit mihi Dominus Deus: et ecce vocabat judicium ad ignem Dominus Deus; et devoravit abyssum multam, et comedit simul partem.(vulgate) Amós 7:4 El Señor Jehová me mostró así; y he aquí, llamaba para juzgar por fuego el Señor Jehová; y consumió un gran abismo, y consumió una parte de la tierra.(E) Amos 7:4 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, m'envoya cette vision. Voici, le Seigneur, l'Eternel, proclamait le châtiment par le feu; Et le feu dévorait le grand abîme Et dévorait le champ.(F) Amo 7:4 Der HERR HERR zeigte mir ein Gesicht, und siehe, der HERR HERR rief dem Feuer, damit zu strafen; das verzehrte die große Tiefe und fraß das Ackerland.(D) Amo 7:4 οὕτως ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐκάλεσεν τὴν δίκην ἐν πυρὶ κύριος καὶ κατέφαγε τὴν ἄβυσσον τὴν πολλὴν καὶ κατέφαγεν τὴν μερίδα(lxx) Amo 7:4 Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, the Lord God called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:5 ============ Amo 7:5 Then I said, "Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?"(nasb) Amo 7:5 Et dixi: Domine Deus, quiesce, obsecro; quis suscitabit Jacob, quia parvulus est?(vulgate) Amós 7:5 Y dije: Señor Jehová, cesa ahora; ¿quién levantará a Jacob? Porque [es] pequeño.(E) Amos 7:5 Je dis: Seigneur Eternel, arrête donc! Comment Jacob subsistera-t-il? Car il est si faible!(F) Amo 7:5 Da sprach ich: Ach HERR HERR, laß ab! Wer will Jakob wieder aufhelfen? denn er ist ja gering.(D) Amo 7:5 καὶ εἶπα κύριε κύριε κόπασον δή τίς ἀναστήσει τὸν Ιακωβ ὅτι ὀλιγοστός ἐστιν(lxx) Amo 7:5 Then I said: "O Lord God, cease, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!"(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:6 ============ Amo 7:6 The Lord changed His mind about this. "This also shall not be," said the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:7 ============ Amo 7:7 Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand.(nasb) Amo 7:7 Hæc ostendit mihi Dominus: et ecce Dominus stans super murum litum, et in manu ejus trulla cæmentarii.(vulgate) Amós 7:7 Me enseñó así: He aquí, el Señor estaba sobre un muro [hecho] a plomo, y en su mano una plomada de albañil.(E) Amos 7:7 Il m'envoya cette vision. Voici, le Seigneur se tenait sur un mur tiré au cordeau, Et il avait un niveau dans la main.(F) Amo 7:7 Er zeigte mir abermals ein Gesicht, und siehe, der HERR stand auf einer Mauer, mit einer Bleischnur gemessen; und er hatte die Bleischnur in seiner Hand.(D) Amo 7:7 οὕτως ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἑστηκὼς ἐπὶ τείχους ἀδαμαντίνου καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ἀδάμας(lxx) Amo 7:7 Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:8 ============ Amo 7:8 The Lord said to me, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said, "Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will spare them no longer.(nasb) Amo 7:8 Et dixit Dominus ad me: Quid tu vides, Amos? Et dixi: Trullam cæmentarii. Et dixit Dominus: [Ecce ego ponam trullam in medio populi mei Israël; non adjiciam ultra superinducere eum.(vulgate) Amós 7:8 Jehová entonces me dijo: ¿Qué ves, Amós? Y dije: Una plomada de albañil. Y el Señor dijo: He aquí, yo pongo plomada de albañil en medio de mi pueblo Israel: No le pasaré más:(E) Amos 7:8 L'Eternel me dit: Que vois-tu, Amos? Je répondis: Un niveau. Et le Seigneur dit: Je mettrai le niveau au milieu de mon peuple d'Israël, Je ne lui pardonnerai plus;(F) Amo 7:8 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Was siehst du, Amo Ich sprach: Eine Bleischnur. Da sprach der HERR zu mir: Siehe, ich will eine Bleischnur ziehen mitten durch mein Volk Israel und ihm nichts mehr übersehen;(D) Amo 7:8 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με τί σὺ ὁρᾷς Αμως καὶ εἶπα ἀδάμαντα καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐντάσσω ἀδάμαντα ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ μου Ισραηλ οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῶ τοῦ παρελθεῖν αὐτόν(lxx) Amo 7:8 And the Lord said to me, "Amos, what do you see?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said: "Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:9 ============ Amo 7:9 "The high places of Isaac will be desolated And the sanctuaries of Israel laid waste. Then I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."(nasb) Amo 7:9 Et demolientur excelsa idoli, et sanctificationes Israël desolabuntur, et consurgam super domum Jeroboam in gladio.](vulgate) Amós 7:9 Y los altares de Isaac serán destruidos, y los santuarios de Israel serán asolados; y me levantaré con espada sobre la casa de Jeroboam.(E) Amos 7:9 Les hauts lieux d'Isaac seront ravagés; Les sanctuaires d'Israël seront détruits, Et je me lèverai contre la maison de Jéroboam avec l'épée.(F) Amo 7:9 sondern die Höhen Isaaks sollen verwüstet und die Heiligtümer Israels zerstört werden, und ich will mit dem Schwert mich über das Haus Jerobeam machen.(D) Amo 7:9 καὶ ἀφανισθήσονται βωμοὶ τοῦ γέλωτος καὶ αἱ τελεταὶ τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐξερημωθήσονται καὶ ἀναστήσομαι ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιεροβοαμ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ(lxx) Amo 7:9 The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste. I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam."(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:10 ============ Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words.(nasb) Amo 7:10 Et misit Amasias, sacerdos Bethel, ad Jeroboam, regem Israël, dicens: Rebellavit contra te Amos in medio domus Israël; non poterit terra sustinere universos sermones ejus.(vulgate) Amós 7:10 Entonces Amasías, sacerdote de Betel, envió [a decir] a Jeroboam, rey de Israel: Amós ha conspirado contra ti en medio de la casa de Israel; la tierra no puede soportar todas sus palabras.(E) Amos 7:10 Alors Amatsia, prêtre de Béthel, fit dire à Jéroboam, roi d'Israël: Amos conspire contre toi au milieu de la maison d'Israël; le pays ne peut supporter toutes ses paroles.(F) Amo 7:10 Da sandte Amazja, der Priester zu Beth-El, zu Jerobeam, dem König Israels, und ließ ihm sagen: Der Amo macht einen Aufruhr wider dich im Hause Israel; das Land kann seine Worte nicht ertragen.(D) Amo 7:10 καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν Αμασιας ὁ ἱερεὺς Βαιθηλ πρὸς Ιεροβοαμ βασιλέα Ισραηλ λέγων συστροφὰς ποιεῖται κατὰ σοῦ Αμως ἐν μέσῳ οἴκου Ισραηλ οὐ μὴ δύνηται ἡ γῆ ὑπενεγκεῖν ἅπαντας τοὺς λόγους αὐτοῦ(lxx) Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:11 ============ Amo 7:11 For thus Amos says, 'Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"(nasb) Amo 7:11 Hæc enim dicit Amos: In gladio morietur Jeroboam, et Israël captivus migrabit de terra sua.(vulgate) Amós 7:11 Porque así ha dicho Amós: Jeroboam morirá a espada, e Israel pasará de su tierra en cautiverio.(E) Amos 7:11 Car voici ce que dit Amos: Jéroboam mourra par l'épée, et Israël sera emmené captif loin de son pays.(F) Amo 7:11 Denn so spricht Amo Jerobeam wird durchs Schwert sterben, und Israel wird aus diesem Lande gefangen weggeführt werden.(D) Amo 7:11 διότι τάδε λέγει Αμως ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ τελευτήσει Ιεροβοαμ ὁ δὲ Ισραηλ αἰχμάλωτος ἀχθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ(lxx) Amo 7:11 For thus Amos has said: 'Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.' "(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:12 ============ Amo 7:12 Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer, flee away to the land of Judah and there eat bread and there do your prophesying!(nasb) Amo 7:12 Et dixit Amasias ad Amos: Qui vides, gradere: fuge in terram Juda, et comede ibi panem, et prophetabis ibi.(vulgate) Amós 7:12 Y Amasías dijo a Amós: Vidente, vete, y huye a tierra de Judá, y come allá tu pan, y profetiza allí:(E) Amos 7:12 Et Amatsia dit à Amos: Homme à visions, va-t-en, fuis dans le pays de Juda; manges-y ton pain, et là tu prophétiseras.(F) Amo 7:12 Und Amazja sprach zu Amo Du Seher, gehe weg und flieh ins Land Juda und iß Brot daselbst und weissage daselbst.(D) Amo 7:12 καὶ εἶπεν Αμασιας πρὸς Αμως ὁ ὁρῶν βάδιζε ἐκχώρησον εἰς γῆν Ιουδα καὶ ἐκεῖ καταβίου καὶ ἐκεῖ προφητεύσεις(lxx) Amo 7:12 Then Amaziah said to Amos: "Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, And there prophesy.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:13 ============ Amo 7:13 But no longer prophesy at Bethel, for it is a sanctuary of the king and a royal residence."(nasb) Amo 7:13 Et in Bethel non adjicies ultra ut prophetes, quia sanctificatio regis est, et domus regni est.(vulgate) Amós 7:13 Y no profetices más en Betel, porque es santuario del rey, y cabecera del reino.(E) Amos 7:13 Mais ne continue pas à prophétiser à Béthel, car c'est un sanctuaire du roi, et c'est une maison royale.(F) Amo 7:13 Und weissage nicht mehr zu Beth-El; denn es ist des Königs Heiligtum und des Königreichs Haus.(D) Amo 7:13 εἰς δὲ Βαιθηλ οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῇς τοῦ προφητεῦσαι ὅτι ἁγίασμα βασιλέως ἐστὶν καὶ οἶκος βασιλείας ἐστίν(lxx) Amo 7:13 But never again prophesy at Bethel, For it is the king's sanctuary, And it is the royal residence."(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:14 ============ Amo 7:14 Then Amos replied to Amaziah, "I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet; for I am a herdsman and a grower of sycamore figs.(nasb) Amo 7:14 Responditque Amos, et dixit ad Amasiam: Non sum propheta, et non sum filius prophetæ: sed armentarius ego sum vellicans sycomoros.(vulgate) Amós 7:14 Entonces respondió Amós, y dijo a Amasías: Yo no era profeta, ni hijo de profeta, sino que era boyero y recogía higos silvestres.(E) Amos 7:14 Amos répondit à Amatsia: Je ne suis ni prophète, ni fils de prophète; mais je suis berger, et je cultive des sycomores.(F) Amo 7:14 Amo antwortete und sprach zu Amazja: Ich bin kein Prophet, auch keines Propheten Sohn, sondern ich bin ein Hirt, der Maulbeeren abliest;(D) Amo 7:14 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αμως καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Αμασιαν οὐκ ἤμην προφήτης ἐγὼ οὐδὲ υἱὸς προφήτου ἀλλ᾽ ἢ αἰπόλος ἤμην καὶ κνίζων συκάμινα(lxx) Amo 7:14 Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: "I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:15 ============ Amo 7:15 But the Lord took me from following the flock and the Lord said to me, 'Go prophesy to My people Israel.'(nasb) Amo 7:15 Et tulit me Dominus cum sequerer gregem, et dixit Dominus ad me: Vade, propheta ad populum meum Israël.(vulgate) Amós 7:15 Y Jehová me tomó de detrás del ganado, y me dijo Jehová: Ve, y profetiza a mi pueblo Israel.(E) Amos 7:15 L'Eternel m'a pris derrière le troupeau, et l'Eternel m'a dit: Va, prophétise à mon peuple d'Israël.(F) Amo 7:15 aber der HERR nahm mich von der Herde und sprach zu mir: Geh hin und weissage meinem Volk Israel!(D) Amo 7:15 καὶ ἀνέλαβέν με κύριος ἐκ τῶν προβάτων καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με βάδιζε προφήτευσον ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ(lxx) Amo 7:15 Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, 'Go, prophesy to My people Israel.'(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:16 ============ Amo 7:16 Now hear the word of the Lord: you are saying, 'You shall not prophesy against Israel nor shall you speak against the house of Isaac.'(nasb) Amo 7:16 Et nunc audi verbum Domini: [Tu dicis: Non prophetabis super Israël, et non stillabis super domum idoli.(vulgate) Amós 7:16 Ahora, pues, oye palabra de Jehová. Tú dices: No profetices contra Israel, ni hables contra la casa de Isaac.(E) Amos 7:16 Ecoute maintenant la parole de l'Eternel, toi qui dis: Ne prophétise pas contre Israël, et ne parle pas contre la maison d'Isaac.(F) Amo 7:16 So höre nun des Herrn Wort. Du sprichst: Weissage nicht wider Israel und predige nicht wider das Haus Isaak!(D) Amo 7:16 καὶ νῦν ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου σὺ λέγεις μὴ προφήτευε ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ οὐ μὴ ὀχλαγωγήσῃς ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιακωβ(lxx) Amo 7:16 Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord: You say, 'Do not prophesy against Israel, And do not spout against the house of Isaac.'(nkjv) ======= Amos 7:17 ============ Amo 7:17 Therefore, thus says the Lord, 'Your wife will become a harlot in the city, your sons and your daughters will fall by the sword, your land will be parceled up by a measuring line and you yourself will die upon unclean soil. Moreover, Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"(nasb) Amo 7:17 Propter hoc hæc dicit Dominus: Uxor tua in civitate fornicabitur, et filii tui et filiæ tuæ in gladio cadent, et humus tua funiculo metietur: et tu in terra polluta morieris, et Israël captivus migrabit de terra sua.](vulgate) Amós 7:17 Por tanto, así dice Jehová: Tu esposa será ramera en la ciudad, y tus hijos y tus hijas caerán a espada, y tu tierra será repartida a cordel; y tú morirás en tierra inmunda, e Israel será llevado cautivo lejos de su tierra.(E) Amos 7:17 A cause de cela, voici ce que dit l'Eternel: Ta femme se prostituera dans la ville, tes fils et tes filles tomberont par l'épée, ton champ sera partagé au cordeau; et toi, tu mourras sur une terre impure, et Israël sera emmené captif loin de son pays.(F) Amo 7:17 Darum spricht der HERR also: Dein Weib wird in der Stadt zur Hure werden, und deine Söhne und Töchter sollen durchs Schwert fallen, und dein Acker soll durch die Schnur ausgeteilt werden; du aber sollst in einem unreinen Lande sterben, und Israel soll aus seinem Lande vertrieben werden.(D) Amo 7:17 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἡ γυνή σου ἐν τῇ πόλει πορνεύσει καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ πεσοῦνται καὶ ἡ γῆ σου ἐν σχοινίῳ καταμετρηθήσεται καὶ σὺ ἐν γῇ ἀκαθάρτῳ τελευτήσεις ὁ δὲ Ισραηλ αἰχμάλωτος ἀχθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ(lxx) Amo 7:17 "Therefore thus says the Lord: 'Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely be led away captive From his own land.'
