La chose est-elle vraie, le fait est-il établi, cette abomination a-t-elle été commise en Israël,(FR) 4 ׃17 וְהֻֽגַּד־לְךָ֖ וְשָׁמָ֑עְתָּ וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֣ הֵיטֵ֔ב וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֱמֶת֙ נָכ֣וֹן הַדָּבָ֔ר נֶעֶשְׂתָ֛ה הַתּוֹעֵבָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Deuteronomy Deu 17:4 and if it is told you and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire thoroughly. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:8 ============ Deu 17:8 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:8 If there rise a matter too harde for thee in iudgemet betweene blood & blood, betweene plea and plea, betweene plague and plague, in the matters of controuersie within thy gates, then shalt thou arise, and goe vp vnto the place which the Lord thy God shall chuse,(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:8 Si une cause relative à un meurtre, à un différend, à une blessure, te paraît trop difficile à juger et fournit matière à contestation dans tes portes, tu te lèveras et tu monteras au lieu que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, choisira.(FR) 8 ׃17 כִּ֣י יִפָּלֵא֩ מִמְּךָ֨ דָבָ֜ר לַמִּשְׁפָּ֗ט בֵּֽין־דָּ֨ם ׀ לְדָ֜ם בֵּֽין־דִּ֣ין לְדִ֗ין וּבֵ֥ין נֶ֙גַע֙ לָנֶ֔גַע דִּבְרֵ֥י רִיבֹ֖ת בִּשְׁעָרֶ֑יךָ וְקַמְתָּ֣ וְעָלִ֔יתָ אֶל־הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּֽוֹ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 17:8 "If any case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, being cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:9 ============ Deu 17:9 And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:9 And thou shalt come vnto the Priestes of the Leuites, and vnto the iudge that shall be in those daies, and aske, and they shall shewe thee the sentence of iudgement,(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:9 Tu iras vers les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, et vers celui qui remplira alors les fonctions de juge; tu les consulteras, et ils te feront connaître la sentence.(FR) 9 ׃17 וּבָאתָ֗ אֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם וְאֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֑ם וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֙ וְהִגִּ֣ידוּ לְךָ֔ אֵ֖ת דְּבַ֥ר הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ Deuteronomy Deu 17:9 So you shall come to the Levitical priest or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict in the case.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:10 ============ Deu 17:10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and you shall be careful to observe according to all that they teach you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:11 ============ Deu 17:11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:11 According to the Lawe, which they shall teach thee, & according to the iudgement which they shall tell thee, shalt thou doe: thou shalt not decline from the thing which they shall shew thee, neither to the right hand, nor to the left.(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:11 Tu te conformeras à la loi qu'ils t'enseigneront et à la sentence qu'ils auront prononcée; you shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, to the right or the left.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:12 ============ Deu 17:12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:12 And that man that wil doe presumptuously, not hearkening vnto the Priest (that standeth before the Lorde thy God to minister there) or vnto the iudge, that man shall die, and thou shalt take away euill from Israel.(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:12 L'homme qui, par orgueil, n'écoutera pas le sacrificateur placé là pour servir l'Eternel, ton Dieu, ou qui n'écoutera pas le juge, cet homme sera puni de mort. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu d'Israël,(FR) 12 ׃17 וְהָאִ֞ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה בְזָד֗וֹן לְבִלְתִּ֨י שְׁמֹ֤עַ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵן֙ הָעֹמֵ֞ד לְשָׁ֤רֶת שָׁם֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ א֖וֹ אֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵ֑ט וּמֵת֙ הָאִ֣ישׁ הַה֔וּא וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Deuteronomy Deu 17:12 The man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; you may not put a foreigner over yourselves who is not your countryman.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:16 ============ Deu 17:16 But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:16 In any wise he shall not prepare him many horses, nor bring the people againe to Egypt, for to encrease the number of horses, seeing the Lord hath sayd vnto you, Ye shal henceforth goe no more againe that way.(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:16 Mais qu'il n'ait pas un grand nombre de chevaux; et qu'il ne ramène pas le peuple en Egypte pour avoir beaucoup de chevaux; car l'Eternel vous a dit: Vous ne retournerez plus par ce chemin-là.(FR) 16 ׃17 רַק֮ לֹא־יַרְבֶּה־לּ֣וֹ סוּסִים֒ וְלֹֽא־יָשִׁ֤יב אֶת־הָעָם֙ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה לְמַ֖עַן הַרְבּ֣וֹת ס֑וּס וַֽיהוָה֙ אָמַ֣ר לָכֶ֔ם לֹ֣א תֹסִפ֗וּן לָשׁ֛וּב בַּדֶּ֥רֶךְ הַזֶּ֖ה עֽוֹד׃ Deuteronomy Deu 17:16 Moreover, he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor shall he cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, since the Lord has said to you, 'You shall never again return that way.'(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 17:17 ============ Deu 17:17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.(KJV) Deuteronomy 17:17 Neither shall hee take him many wiues, lest his heart turne away, neither shal he gather him much siluer and golde.(Geneva) Deutéronome 17:17 Qu'il n'ait pas un grand nombre de femmes, afin que son coeur ne se détourne point;
