(nasb) ======= Judges 1:11 ============ Jdg 1:11 And from thence he went against the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher:(KJV) Judges 1:11 And from thence hee went to the inhabitantes of Debir, and the name of Debir in olde time was Kiriath-sepher.(Geneva) Juges 1:11 De là il marcha contre les habitants de Debir: Debir s'appelait autrefois Kirjath-Sépher.(FR) 11 ׃1 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ מִשָּׁ֔ם אֶל־יוֹשְׁבֵ֖י דְּבִ֑יר וְשֵׁם־דְּבִ֥יר לְפָנִ֖ים קִרְיַת־סֵֽפֶר׃ Judges Jdg 1:11 Then from there he went against the inhabitants of Debir (now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath-sepher).(nasb) ======= Judges 1:12 ============ Jdg 1:12 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.(KJV) Judges 1:12 And Caleb saide, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.(Geneva) Juges 1:12 Caleb dit: Je donnerai ma fille Acsa pour femme à celui qui battra Kirjath-Sépher et qui la prendra.(FR) 12 ׃1 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר כָּלֵ֔ב אֲשֶׁר־יַכֶּ֥ה אֶת־קִרְיַת־סֵ֖פֶר וּלְכָדָ֑הּ וְנָתַ֥תִּי ל֛וֹ אֶת־עַכְסָ֥ה בִתִּ֖י לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ Judges Jdg 1:12 And Caleb said, "The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will even give him my daughter Achsah for a wife."(nasb) ======= Judges 1:13 ============ Jdg 1:13 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.(KJV) Judges 1:13 And Othniel the sonne of Kenaz Calebs yonger brother tooke it, to whome hee gaue Achsah his daughter to wife.(Geneva) Juges 1:13 Othniel, fils de Kenaz, frère cadet de Caleb, s'en empara; et Caleb lui donna pour femme sa fille Acsa.(FR) 13 ׃1 וַֽיִּלְכְּדָהּ֙ עָתְנִיאֵ֣ל בֶּן־קְנַ֔ז אֲחִ֥י כָלֵ֖ב הַקָּטֹ֣ן מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וַיִּתֶּן־ל֛וֹ אֶת־עַכְסָ֥ה בִתּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ Judges Jdg 1:13 Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, captured it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah for a wife.(nasb) ======= Judges 1:14 ============ Jdg 1:14 And it came to pass, when she came to him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wilt thou?(KJV) Judges 1:14 And when shee came to him, shee mooued him to aske of her father a field, and shee lighted off her asse, and Caleb saide vnto her, What wilt thou?(Geneva) Juges 1:14 Lorsqu'elle fut entrée chez Othniel, elle le sollicita de demander à son père un champ. Elle descendit de dessus son âne; et Caleb lui dit: Qu'as-tu?(FR) 14 ׃1 וַיְהִ֣י בְּבוֹאָ֗הּ וַתְּסִיתֵ֙הוּ֙ לִשְׁא֤וֹל מֵֽאֵת־אָבִ֙יהָ֙ הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה וַתִּצְנַ֖ח מֵעַ֣ל הַחֲמ֑וֹר וַיֹּֽאמֶר־לָ֥הּ כָּלֵ֖ב מַה־לָּֽךְ׃ Judges Jdg 1:14 Then it came about when she came to him, that she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. Then she alighted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, "What do you want?"(nasb) ======= Judges 1:15 ============ Jdg 1:15 And she said unto him, Give me a blessing: for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.(KJV) Judges 1:15 And shee answered him, Giue mee a blessing: for thou hast giuen me a South countrey, giue me also springs of water: and Caleb gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.(Geneva) Juges 1:15 Elle lui répondit: Fais-moi un présent, car tu m'as donné une terre du midi; donne-moi aussi des sources d'eau. So Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.(nasb) ======= Judges 1:16 ============ Jdg 1:16 And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father in law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.(KJV) Judges 1:16 And the childre of Keni Moses father in law went vp out of the citie of the palme trees with the children of Iudah, into the wildernesse of Iudah, that lieth in the South of Arad, & went and dwelt among the people.(Geneva) Juges 1:16 Les fils du Kénien, beau-père de Moïse, montèrent de la ville des palmiers, avec les fils de Juda, dans le désert de Juda au midi d'Arad, et ils allèrent s'établir parmi le peuple.(FR) 16 ׃1 וּבְנֵ֣י קֵינִי֩ חֹתֵ֨ן מֹשֶׁ֜ה עָל֨וּ מֵעִ֤יר הַתְּמָרִים֙ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה מִדְבַּ֣ר יְהוּדָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּנֶ֣גֶב עֲרָ֑ד וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב אֶת־הָעָֽם׃ Judges Jdg 1:16 The descendants of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up from the city of palms with the sons of Judah, to the wilderness of Judah which is in the south of Arad; and they went and lived with the people.(nasb) ======= Judges 1:17 ============ Jdg 1:17 And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they slew the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. And the name of the city was called Hormah.(KJV) Judges 1:17 But Iudah went with Simeon his brother, and they slewe the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and vtterly destroied it, and called the name of the citie Hormah.(Geneva) Juges 1:17 Juda se mit en marche avec Siméon, son frère, et ils battirent les Cananéens qui habitaient à Tsephath; ils dévouèrent la ville par interdit, et on l'appela Horma.(FR) 17 ׃1 וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ יְהוּדָה֙ אֶת־שִׁמְע֣וֹן אָחִ֔יו וַיַּכּ֕וּ אֶת־הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י יוֹשֵׁ֣ב צְפַ֑ת וַיַּחֲרִ֣ימוּ אוֹתָ֔הּ וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שֵׁם־הָעִ֖יר חָרְמָֽה׃ Judges Jdg 1:17 Then Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they struck the Canaanites living in Zephath, and utterly destroyed it.
