Today's Date: 4/2/2025 ======= Judges 2:1 ============ Jdg 2:1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.(KJV) Judges 2:1 And an Angel of the Lorde came vp from Gilgal to Bochim, & sayd, I made you to go vp out of Egypt, and haue brought you vnto the land which I had sworne vnto your fathers, and sayd, I wil neuer breake my couenant with you.(Geneva) Juges 2:1 Un envoyé de l'Eternel monta de Guilgal à Bokim, et dit: Je vous ai fait monter hors d'Egypte, et je vous ai amenés dans le pays que j'ai juré à vos pères de vous donner. J'ai dit: Jamais je ne romprai mon alliance avec vous;(FR) 1 ׃2 וַיַּ֧עַל מַלְאַךְ־יְהוָ֛ה מִן־הַגִּלְגָּ֖ל אֶל־הַבֹּכִ֑ים פ וַיֹּאמֶר֩ אַעֲלֶ֨ה אֶתְכֶ֜ם מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם וָאָבִ֤יא אֶתְכֶם֙ אֶל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙ לַאֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וָאֹמַ֕ר לֹֽא־אָפֵ֧ר בְּרִיתִ֛י אִתְּכֶ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Judges Jdg 2:1 Now the angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break My covenant with you,(nasb) ======= Judges 2:2 ============ Jdg 2:2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?(KJV) Judges 2:2 Ye also shall make no couenant with the inhabitants of this land, but shall breake downe their altars: but ye haue not obeyed my voyce. Why haue ye done this?(Geneva) Juges 2:2 et vous, vous ne traiterez point alliance avec les habitants de ce pays, vous renverserez leurs autels. Mais vous n'avez point obéi à ma voix. Pourquoi avez-vous fait cela?(FR) 2 ׃2 וְאַתֶּ֗ם לֹֽא־תִכְרְת֤וּ בְרִית֙ לְיֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את מִזְבְּחוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם תִּתֹּצ֑וּן וְלֹֽא־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם בְּקֹלִ֖י מַה־זֹּ֥את עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃ Judges Jdg 2:2 and as for you, you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.' But you have not obeyed Me; what is this you have done?(nasb) ======= Judges 2:3 ============ Jdg 2:3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.(KJV) Judges 2:3 Wherefore, I sayd also, I wil not cast them out before you, but they shalbe as thornes vnto your sides, & their gods shalbe your destruction.(Geneva) Juges 2:3 J'ai dit alors: Je ne les chasserai point devant vous; mais ils seront à vos côtés, et leurs dieux vous seront un piège.(FR) 3 ׃2 וְגַ֣ם אָמַ֔רְתִּי לֹֽא־אֲגָרֵ֥שׁ אוֹתָ֖ם מִפְּנֵיכֶ֑ם וְהָי֤וּ לָכֶם֙ לְצִדִּ֔ים וֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם יִהְי֥וּ לָכֶ֖ם לְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃ Judges Jdg 2:3 Therefore I also said, 'I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.'"(nasb) ======= Judges 2:4 ============ Jdg 2:4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.(KJV) Judges 2:4 And when the Angel of the Lorde spake these wordes vnto all the children of Israel, the people lift vp their voyce, and wept.(Geneva) Juges 2:4 Lorsque l'envoyé de l'Eternel eut dit ces paroles à tous les enfants d'Israël, le peuple éleva la voix et pleura.(FR) 4 ׃2 וַיְהִ֗י כְּדַבֵּ֞ר מַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהוָה֙ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֶֽל־כָּל־בְּנֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ הָעָ֛ם אֶת־קוֹלָ֖ם וַיִּבְכּֽוּ׃ Judges Jdg 2:4 When the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:5 ============ Jdg 2:5 And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.(KJV) Judges 2:5 Therefore they called the name of that place, Bochim, and offered sacrifices there vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Juges 2:5 Ils donnèrent à ce lieu le nom de Bokim, et ils y offrirent des sacrifices à l'Eternel.(FR) 5 ׃2 וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בֹּכִ֑ים וַיִּזְבְּחוּ־שָׁ֖ם לַֽיהוָֽה׃ פ Judges Jdg 2:5 So they named that place Bochim; and there they sacrificed to the Lord. (nasb) ======= Judges 2:6 ============ Jdg 2:6 And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.(KJV) Judges 2:6 Now when Ioshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel went euery man into his inheritance, to possesse the land.(Geneva) Juges 2:6 Josué renvoya le peuple, et les enfants d'Israël allèrent chacun dans son héritage pour prendre possession du pays.(FR) 6 ׃2 וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ אֶת־הָעָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֧וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אִ֥ישׁ לְנַחֲלָת֖וֹ לָרֶ֥שֶׁת אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Judges Jdg 2:6 When Joshua had dismissed the people, the sons of Israel went each to his inheritance to possess the land.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:7 ============ Jdg 2:7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.(KJV) Judges 2:7 And the people had serued the Lord al the dayes of Ioshua, & all the dayes of the Elders that outliued Ioshua, which had seene all the great works of the Lord that he did for Israel.(Geneva) Juges 2:7 Le peuple servit l'Eternel pendant toute la vie de Josué, et pendant toute la vie des anciens qui survécurent à Josué et qui avaient vu toutes les grandes choses que l'Eternel avait faites en faveur d'Israël.(FR) 7 ׃2 וַיַּעַבְד֤וּ הָעָם֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ וְכֹ֣ל ׀ יְמֵ֣י הַזְּקֵנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶאֱרִ֤יכוּ יָמִים֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוֹשׁ֔וּעַ אֲשֶׁ֣ר רָא֗וּ אֵ֣ת כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה יְהוָה֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Judges Jdg 2:7 The people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who survived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the Lord which He had done for Israel.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:8 ============ Jdg 2:8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.(KJV) Judges 2:8 But Ioshua the sonne of Nun the seruant of the Lord dyed, when he was an hundreth and ten yeeres olde:(Geneva) Juges 2:8 Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de l'Eternel, mourut âgé de cent dix ans.(FR) 8 ׃2 וַיָּ֛מָת יְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן עֶ֣בֶד יְהוָ֑ה בֶּן־מֵאָ֥ה וָעֶ֖שֶׂר שָׁנִֽים׃ Judges Jdg 2:8 Then Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of one hundred and ten.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:9 ============ Jdg 2:9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.(KJV) Judges 2:9 And they buryed him in the coastes of his inheritance, in Timnath-heres in mount Ephraim, on the Northside of mount Gaash.(Geneva) Juges 2:9 On l'ensevelit dans le territoire qu'il avait eu en partage, à Thimnath-Hérès, dans la montagne d'Ephraïm, au nord de la montagne de Gaasch.(FR) 9 ׃2 וַיִּקְבְּר֤וּ אוֹתוֹ֙ בִּגְב֣וּל נַחֲלָת֔וֹ בְּתִמְנַת־חֶ֖רֶס בְּהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם מִצְּפ֖וֹן לְהַר־גָּֽעַשׁ׃ Judges Jdg 2:9 And they buried him in the territory of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:10 ============ Jdg 2:10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.(KJV) Judges 2:10 And so all that generation was gathered vnto their fathers, & another generation arose after them, which neither knewe the Lord, nor yet the works, which he had done for Israel.(Geneva) Juges 2:10 Toute cette génération fut recueillie auprès de ses pères, et il s'éleva après elle une autre génération, qui ne connaissait point l'Eternel, ni ce qu'il avait fait en faveur d'Israël.(FR) 10 ׃2 וְגַם֙ כָּל־הַדּ֣וֹר הַה֔וּא נֶאֶסְפ֖וּ אֶל־אֲבוֹתָ֑יו וַיָּקָם֩ דּ֨וֹר אַחֵ֜ר אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא־יָֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה וְגַם֙ אֶת־הַֽמַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס Judges Jdg 2:10 All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel. (nasb) ======= Judges 2:11 ============ Jdg 2:11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:(KJV) Judges 2:11 Then the children of Israel did wickedly in the sight of the Lord, and serued Baalim,(Geneva) Juges 2:11 Les enfants d'Israël firent alors ce qui déplaît à l'Eternel, et ils servirent les Baals.(FR) 11 ׃2 וַיַּעֲשׂ֧וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶת־הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־הַבְּעָלִֽים׃ Judges Jdg 2:11 Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals,(nasb) ======= Judges 2:12 ============ Jdg 2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.(KJV) Judges 2:12 And forsooke ye Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the lande of Egypt, & followed other gods, euen the gods of the people that were round about them, & bowed vnto them, and prouoked the Lord to anger.(Geneva) Juges 2:12 Ils abandonnèrent l'Eternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, qui les avait fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, et ils allèrent après d'autres dieux d'entre les dieux des peuples qui les entouraient; ils se prosternèrent devant eux, et ils irritèrent l'Eternel.(FR) 12 ׃2 וַיַּעַזְב֞וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבוֹתָ֗ם הַמּוֹצִ֣יא אוֹתָם֮ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַיִם֒ וַיֵּלְכ֞וּ אַחֲרֵ֣י ׀ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֗ים מֵאֱלֹהֵ֤י הָֽעַמִּים֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ סְבִיב֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ לָהֶ֑ם וַיַּכְעִ֖סוּ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ Judges Jdg 2:12 and they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the Lord to anger.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:13 ============ Jdg 2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.(KJV) Judges 2:13 So they forsooke the Lorde, and serued Baal, and Ashtaroth.(Geneva) Juges 2:13 Ils abandonnèrent l'Eternel, et ils servirent Baal et les Astartés.(FR) 13 ׃2 וַיַּעַזְב֖וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה וַיַּעַבְד֥וּ לַבַּ֖עַל וְלָעַשְׁתָּרֽוֹת׃ Judges Jdg 2:13 So they forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:14 ============ Jdg 2:14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.(KJV) Judges 2:14 And the wrath of the Lorde was hote against Israel, & he deliuered them into the hands of spoylers, that spoyled them, and he sold them into the handes of their enemies rounde about them, so that they could no longer stande before their enemies.(Geneva) Juges 2:14 La colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Israël. Il les livra entre les mains de pillards qui les pillèrent, il les vendit entre les mains de leurs ennemis d'alentour, et ils ne purent plus résister à leurs ennemis.(FR) 14 ׃2 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֤ף יְהוָה֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַֽיִּתְּנֵם֙ בְּיַד־שֹׁסִ֔ים וַיָּשֹׁ֖סּוּ אוֹתָ֑ם וַֽיִּמְכְּרֵ֞ם בְּיַ֤ד אֽוֹיְבֵיהֶם֙ מִסָּבִ֔יב וְלֹֽא־יָכְל֣וּ ע֔וֹד לַעֲמֹ֖ד לִפְנֵ֥י אוֹיְבֵיהֶֽם׃ Judges Jdg 2:14 The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:15 ============ Jdg 2:15 Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.(KJV) Judges 2:15 Whithersoeuer they went out, the hand of the Lord was sore against them, as ye Lord had sayd, and as the Lord had sworne vnto them: so he punished them sore.(Geneva) Juges 2:15 Partout où ils allaient, la main de l'Eternel était contre eux pour leur faire du mal, comme l'Eternel l'avait dit, comme l'Eternel le leur avait juré. Ils furent ainsi dans une grande détresse.(FR) 15 ׃2 בְּכֹ֣ל ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָצְא֗וּ יַד־יְהוָה֙ הָיְתָה־בָּ֣ם לְרָעָ֔ה כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה וְכַאֲשֶׁ֛ר נִשְׁבַּ֥ע יְהוָ֖ה לָהֶ֑ם וַיֵּ֥צֶר לָהֶ֖ם מְאֹֽד׃ Judges Jdg 2:15 Wherever they went, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:16 ============ Jdg 2:16 Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.(KJV) Judges 2:16 Notwithstanding, the Lorde raysed vp Iudges, which deliuered them out of the hands of their oppressours.(Geneva) Juges 2:16 L'Eternel suscita des juges, afin qu'ils les délivrassent de la main de ceux qui les pillaient.(FR) 16 ׃2 וַיָּ֥קֶם יְהוָ֖ה שֹֽׁפְטִ֑ים וַיּ֣וֹשִׁיע֔וּם מִיַּ֖ד שֹׁסֵיהֶֽם׃ Judges Jdg 2:16 Then the Lord raised up judges who delivered them from the hands of those who plundered them.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:17 ============ Jdg 2:17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.(KJV) Judges 2:17 But yet they would not obey their Iudges: for they went a whoring after other gods, & worshipped them, & turned quickly out of the way, wherein their fathers walked, obeying the commandements of the Lord: they did not so.(Geneva) Juges 2:17 Mais ils n'écoutèrent pas même leurs juges, car ils se prostituèrent à d'autres dieux, se prosternèrent devant eux. Ils se détournèrent promptement de la voie qu'avaient suivie leurs pères, et ils n'obéirent point comme eux aux commandements de l'Eternel.(FR) 17 ׃2 וְגַ֤ם אֶל־שֹֽׁפְטֵיהֶם֙ לֹ֣א שָׁמֵ֔עוּ כִּ֣י זָנ֗וּ אֽ͏ַחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ לָהֶ֑ם סָ֣רוּ מַהֵ֗ר מִן־הַדֶּ֜רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הָלְכ֧וּ אֲבוֹתָ֛ם לִשְׁמֹ֥עַ מִצְוֺת־יְהוָ֖ה לֹא־עָ֥שׂוּ כֵֽן׃ Judges Jdg 2:17 Yet they did not listen to their judges, for they played the harlot after other gods and bowed themselves down to them. They turned aside quickly from the way in which their fathers had walked in obeying the commandments of the Lord; they did not do as their fathers.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:18 ============ Jdg 2:18 And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.(KJV) Judges 2:18 And when the Lorde had raysed them vp Iudges, the Lord was with the Iudge, & deliuered them out of the hande of their enemies all the dayes of the Iudge (for the Lord had compassio on their gronings, because of them that oppressed them and tormented them)(Geneva) Juges 2:18 Lorsque l'Eternel leur suscitait des juges, l'Eternel était avec le juge, et il les délivrait de la main de leurs ennemis pendant toute la vie du juge; car l'Eternel avait pitié de leurs gémissements contre ceux qui les opprimaient et les tourmentaient.(FR) 18 ׃2 וְכִֽי־הֵקִ֨ים יְהוָ֥ה ׀ לָהֶם֮ שֹֽׁפְטִים֒ וְהָיָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ עִם־הַשֹּׁפֵ֔ט וְהֽוֹשִׁיעָם֙ מִיַּ֣ד אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֣י הַשּׁוֹפֵ֑ט כִּֽי־יִנָּחֵ֤ם יְהוָה֙ מִנַּֽאֲקָתָ֔ם מִפְּנֵ֥י לֹחֲצֵיהֶ֖ם וְדֹחֲקֵיהֶֽם׃ Judges Jdg 2:18 When the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and delivered them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed and afflicted them.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:19 ============ Jdg 2:19 And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.(KJV) Judges 2:19 Yet when the Iudge was dead, they returned, and did worse then their fathers, in following other gods to serue them and worshippe them: they ceased not from their owne inuentions, nor from their rebellious way.(Geneva) Juges 2:19 Mais, à la mort du juge, ils se corrompaient de nouveau plus que leurs pères, en allant après d'autres dieux pour les servir et se prosterner devant eux, et ils persévéraient dans la même conduite et le même endurcissement.(FR) 19 ׃2 וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בְּמ֣וֹת הַשּׁוֹפֵ֗ט יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ וְהִשְׁחִ֣יתוּ מֵֽאֲבוֹתָ֔ם לָלֶ֗כֶת אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעָבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם לֹ֤א הִפִּ֙ילוּ֙ מִמַּ֣עַלְלֵיהֶ֔ם וּמִדַּרְכָּ֖ם הַקָּשָֽׁה׃ Judges Jdg 2:19 But it came about when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their stubborn ways.(nasb) ======= Judges 2:20 ============ Jdg 2:20 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;(KJV) Judges 2:20 Wherfore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he sayd, Because this people hath transgressed my couenant, which I commaded their fathers, & hath not obeyed my voyce,(Geneva) Juges 2:20 Alors la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Israël, et il dit: Puisque cette nation a transgressé mon alliance que j'avais prescrite à ses pères, et puisqu'ils n'ont point obéi à ma voix,(FR) 20 ׃2 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֥ף יְהוָ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֹּ֗אמֶר יַעַן֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָבְר֜וּ הַגּ֣וֹי הַזֶּ֗ה אֶת־בְּרִיתִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֣יתִי אֶת־אֲבוֹתָ֔ם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמְע֖וּ לְקוֹלִֽי׃ Judges Jdg 2:20 So the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He said, "Because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers and has not listened to My voice,(nasb) ======= Judges 2:21 ============ Jdg 2:21 I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:(KJV) Judges 2:21 Therefore will I no more cast out before them any of the nations, which Ioshua left when he dyed,(Geneva) Juges 2:21 je ne chasserai plus devant eux aucune des nations que Josué laissa quand il mourut.(FR) 21 ׃2 גַּם־אֲנִי֙ לֹ֣א אוֹסִ֔יף לְהוֹרִ֥ישׁ אִ֖ישׁ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם מִן־הַגּוֹיִ֛ם אֲשֶׁר־עָזַ֥ב יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ וַיָּמֹֽת׃ Judges Jdg 2:21 I also will no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died,(nasb) ======= Judges 2:22 ============ Jdg 2:22 That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.(KJV) Judges 2:22 That through them I may proue Israel, whether they wil keepe the way of the Lorde, to walke therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.(Geneva) Juges 2:22 C'est ainsi que je mettrai par elles Israël à l'épreuve, pour savoir s'ils prendront garde ou non de suivre la voie de l'Eternel, comme leurs pères y ont pris garde.(FR) 22 ׃2 לְמַ֛עַן נַסּ֥וֹת בָּ֖ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲשֹׁמְרִ֣ים הֵם֩ אֶת־דֶּ֨רֶךְ יְהוָ֜ה לָלֶ֣כֶת בָּ֗ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר שָׁמְר֥וּ אֲבוֹתָ֖ם אִם־לֹֽא׃ Judges Jdg 2:22 in order to test Israel by them, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk in it as their fathers did, or not."(nasb) ======= Judges 2:23 ============ Jdg 2:23 Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.(kjv) Judges 2:23 So the Lorde left those nations, and droue them not out immediately, neither deliuered them into the hand of Ioshua.(Geneva) Juges 2:23 Et l'Eternel laissa en repos ces nations qu'il n'avait pas livrées entre les mains de Josué, et il ne se hâta point de les chasser.(FR) 23 ׃2 וַיַּנַּ֤ח יְהוָה֙ אֶת־הַגּוֹיִ֣ם הָאֵ֔לֶּה לְבִלְתִּ֥י הוֹרִישָׁ֖ם מַהֵ֑ר וְלֹ֥א נְתָנָ֖ם בְּיַד־יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ פ Judges Jdg 2:23 So the Lord allowed those nations to remain, not driving them out quickly; and He did not give them into the hand of Joshua. (nasb) ======= Judges 3:1 ============ Jdg 3:1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;(KJV) Judges 3:1 These nowe are the nations which the Lorde left, that he might proue Israel by them (euen as many of Israel as had not knowen all the warres of Canaan,(Geneva) Juges 3:1 Voici les nations que l'Eternel laissa pour éprouver par elles Israël, tous ceux qui n'avaient pas connu toutes les guerres de Canaan.(FR) |
