Pour échapper à Madian, les enfants d'Israël se retiraient dans les ravins des montagnes, dans les cavernes et sur les rochers fortifiés.(FR) 2 ׃6 וַתָּ֥עָז יַד־מִדְיָ֖ן עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִפְּנֵ֨י מִדְיָ֜ן עָשֽׂ[m]וּ לָהֶ֣ם ׀ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֶת־הַמִּנְהָרוֹת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בֶּֽהָרִ֔ים וְאֶת־הַמְּעָר֖וֹת וְאֶת־הַמְּצָדֽוֹת׃ Judges Jdg 6:2 The power of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of Midian the sons of Israel made for themselves the dens which were in the mountains and the caves and the strongholds.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:3 ============ Jdg 6:3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;(KJV) Judges 6:3 When Israel had sowen, then came vp the Midianites, the Amalekites, & they of the East, and came vpon them,(Geneva) Juges 6:3 Quand Israël avait semé, Madian montait avec Amalek et les fils de l'Orient, et ils marchaient contre lui.(FR) 3 ׃6 וְהָיָ֖ה אִם־זָרַ֣ע יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְעָלָ֨ה מִדְיָ֧ן וֽ͏ַעֲמָלֵ֛ק וּבְנֵי־קֶ֖דֶם וְעָל֥וּ עָלָֽיו׃ Judges Jdg 6:3 For it was when Israel had sown, that the Midianites would come up with the Amalekites and the sons of the east and go against them.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:4 ============ Jdg 6:4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.(KJV) Judges 6:4 And camped by them, and destroyed the fruite of the earth, euen til thou come vnto Azzah, and left no foode for Israel, neither sheepe, nor oxe, nor asse.(Geneva) Juges 6:4 Ils campaient en face de lui, détruisaient les productions du pays jusque vers Gaza, et ne laissaient en Israël ni vivres, ni brebis, ni boeufs, ni ânes.(FR) 4 ׃6 וַיַּחֲנ֣וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם וַיַּשְׁחִ֙יתוּ֙ אֶת־יְב֣וּל הָאָ֔רֶץ עַד־בּוֹאֲךָ֖ עַזָּ֑ה וְלֹֽא־יַשְׁאִ֤ירוּ מִֽחְיָה֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְשֶׂ֥ה וָשׁ֖וֹר וַחֲמֽוֹר׃ Judges Jdg 6:4 So they would camp against them and destroy the produce of the earth as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel as well as no sheep, ox, or donkey.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:5 ============ Jdg 6:5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.(KJV) Judges 6:5 For they went vp, and their cattel, & came with their tentes as grashoppers in multitude: so that they & their camels were without number: and they came into the land to destroy it.(Geneva) Juges 6:5 Car ils montaient avec leurs troupeaux et leurs tentes, ils arrivaient comme une multitude de sauterelles, ils étaient innombrables, eux et leurs chameaux, et ils venaient dans le pays pour le ravager.(FR) 5 ׃6 כִּ֡י הֵם֩ וּמִקְנֵיהֶ֨ם יַעֲל֜וּ וְאָהֳלֵיהֶ֗ם *יבאו **וּבָ֤אוּ כְדֵֽי־אַרְבֶּה֙ לָרֹ֔ב וְלָהֶ֥ם וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖ם אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ בָאָ֖רֶץ לְשַׁחֲתָֽהּ׃ Judges Jdg 6:5 For they would come up with their livestock and their tents, they would come in like locusts for number, both they and their camels were innumerable; and they came into the land to devastate it.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:6 ============ Jdg 6:6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.(KJV) Judges 6:6 So was Israel exceedingly impouerished by the Midianites: therefore the children of Israel cryed vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Juges 6:6 Israël fut très malheureux à cause de Madian, et les enfants d'Israël crièrent à l'Eternel.(FR) 6 ׃6 וַיִּדַּ֧ל יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל מְאֹ֖ד מִפְּנֵ֣י מִדְיָ֑ן וַיִּזְעֲק֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־יְהוָֽה׃ פ Judges Jdg 6:6 So Israel was brought very low because of Midian, and the sons of Israel cried to the Lord.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:7 ============ Jdg 6:7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,(KJV) Judges 6:7 And when the children of Israel cryed vnto the Lord because of the Midianites,(Geneva) Juges 6:7 Lorsque les enfants d'Israël crièrent à l'Eternel au sujet de Madian,(FR) 7 ׃6 וַיְהִ֕י כִּֽי־זָעֲק֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה עַ֖ל אֹד֥וֹת מִדְיָֽן׃ Judges Jdg 6:7 Now it came about when the sons of Israel cried to the Lord on account of Midian,(nasb) ======= Judges 6:8 ============ Jdg 6:8 That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;(KJV) Judges 6:8 The Lord sent vnto the children of Israel a Prophet, who sayd vuto them, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I haue brought you vp from Egypt, and haue brought you out of the house of bondage,(Geneva) Juges 6:8 l'Eternel envoya un prophète aux enfants d'Israël. Il leur dit: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Je vous ai fait monter d'Egypte, et je vous ai fait sortir de la maison de servitude.(FR) 8 ׃6 וַיִּשְׁלַ֧ח יְהוָ֛ה אִ֥ישׁ נָבִ֖יא אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֹּ֨אמֶר לָהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אָנֹכִ֞י הֶעֱלֵ֤יתִי אֶתְכֶם֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם וָאֹצִ֥יא אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃ Judges Jdg 6:8 that the Lord sent a prophet to the sons of Israel, and he said to them, "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, 'It was I who brought you up from Egypt and brought you out from the house of slavery.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:9 ============ Jdg 6:9 And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;(KJV) Judges 6:9 And I haue deliuered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and haue cast them out before you, and giuen you their land.(Geneva) Juges 6:9 Je vous ai délivrés de la main des Egyptiens et de la main de tous ceux qui vous opprimaient; je les ai chassés devant vous, et je vous ai donné leur pays.(FR) 9 ׃6 וָאַצִּ֤ל אֶתְכֶם֙ מִיַּ֣ד מִצְרַ֔יִם וּמִיַּ֖ד כָּל־לֹחֲצֵיכֶ֑ם וָאֲגָרֵ֤שׁ אוֹתָם֙ מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם וָאֶתְּנָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם אֶת־אַרְצָֽם׃ Judges Jdg 6:9 I delivered you from the hands of the Egyptians and from the hands of all your oppressors, and dispossessed them before you and gave you their land,(nasb) ======= Judges 6:10 ============ Jdg 6:10 And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.(KJV) Judges 6:10 And I sayde vnto you, I am the Lord your God: feare not the gods of the Amorites in whose lande you dwell: but ye haue not obeyed my voyce.(Geneva) Juges 6:10 Je vous ai dit: Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu; vous ne craindrez point les dieux des Amoréens, dans le pays desquels vous habitez. Mais vous n'avez point écouté ma voix.(FR) 10 ׃6 וָאֹמְרָ֣ה לָכֶ֗ם אֲנִי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם לֹ֤א תִֽירְאוּ֙ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָאֱמֹרִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם יוֹשְׁבִ֣ים בְּאַרְצָ֑ם וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם בְּקוֹלִֽי׃ פ Judges Jdg 6:10 and I said to you, "I am the Lord your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live. But you have not obeyed Me."'" (nasb) ======= Judges 6:11 ============ Jdg 6:11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.(KJV) Judges 6:11 And the Angell of the Lord came, and sate vnder the oke which was in Ophrah, that perteined vnto Ioash the father of the Ezrites, and his sonne Gideon threshed wheate by the winepresse, to hide it from the Midianites.(Geneva) Juges 6:11 Puis vint l'ange de l'Eternel, et il s'assit sous le térébinthe d'Ophra, qui appartenait à Joas, de la famille d'Abiézer. Gédéon, son fils, battait du froment au pressoir, pour le mettre à l'abri de Madian.(FR) 11 ׃6 וַיָּבֹ֞א מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֗ה וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ תַּ֤חַת הָֽאֵלָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּעָפְרָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְיוֹאָ֖שׁ אֲבִ֣י הָֽעֶזְרִ֑י וְגִדְע֣וֹן בְּנ֗וֹ חֹבֵ֤ט חִטִּים֙ בַּגַּ֔ת לְהָנִ֖יס מִפְּנֵ֥י מִדְיָֽן׃ Judges Jdg 6:11 Then the angel of the Lord came and sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite as his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press in order to save it from the Midianites.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:12 ============ Jdg 6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.(KJV) Judges 6:12 Then the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him, and said vnto him, The Lord is with thee, thou valiant man.(Geneva) Juges 6:12 L'ange de l'Eternel lui apparut, et lui dit: L'Eternel est avec toi, vaillant héros!(FR) 12 ׃6 וַיֵּרָ֥א אֵלָ֖יו מַלְ[t]אַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֔יו יְהוָ֥ה עִמְּךָ֖ גִּבּ֥וֹר הֶחָֽיִל׃ Judges Jdg 6:12 The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, "The Lord is with you, O valiant warrior."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:13 ============ Jdg 6:13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.(KJV) Judges 6:13 To whome Gideon answered, Ah my Lorde, if the Lord be with vs, why then is all this come vpon vs? and where be all his miracles which our fathers tolde vs of, and sayd, Did not the Lorde bring vs out of Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken vs, and deliuered vs into the hand of the Midianites.(Geneva) Juges 6:13 Gédéon lui dit: Ah! mon seigneur, si l'Eternel est avec nous, pourquoi toutes ces choses nous sont-elles arrivées? Et où sont tous ces prodiges que nos pères nous racontent, quand ils disent: L'Eternel ne nous a-t-il pas fait monter hors d'Egypte? Maintenant l'Eternel nous abandonne, et il nous livre entre les mains de Madian!(FR) 13 ׃6 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֤יו גִּדְעוֹן֙ בִּ֣י אֲדֹנִ֔י וְיֵ֤שׁ יְהוָה֙ עִמָּ֔נוּ וְלָ֥מָּה מְצָאַ֖תְנוּ כָּל־זֹ֑את וְאַיֵּ֣ה כָֽל־נִפְלְאֹתָ֡יו אֲשֶׁר֩ סִפְּרוּ־לָ֨נוּ אֲבוֹתֵ֜ינוּ לֵאמֹ֗ר הֲלֹ֤א מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ הֶעֱלָ֣נוּ יְהוָ֔ה וְעַתָּה֙ נְטָשָׁ֣נוּ יְהוָ֔ה וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖נוּ בְּכַף־מִדְיָֽן׃ Judges Jdg 6:13 Then Gideon said to him, "O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?' But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:14 ============ Jdg 6:14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?(KJV) Judges 6:14 And the Lord looked vpon him, & sayd, Goe in this thy might, and thou shalt saue Israel out of the handes of the Midianites: haue not I sent thee?(Geneva) Juges 6:14 L'Eternel se tourna vers lui, et dit: Va avec cette force que tu as, et délivre Israël de la main de Madian; n'est-ce pas moi qui t'envoie?(FR) 14 ׃6 וַיִּ֤פֶן אֵלָיו֙ יְהוָ֔ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לֵ֚ךְ בְּכֹחֲךָ֣ זֶ֔ה וְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ֥ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִכַּ֣ף מִדְיָ֑ן הֲלֹ֖א שְׁלַחְתִּֽיךָ׃ Judges Jdg 6:14 The Lord looked at him and said, "Go in this your strength and deliver Israel from the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you?"(nasb) ======= Judges 6:15 ============ Jdg 6:15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.(KJV) Judges 6:15 And he answered him, Ah my Lord, whereby shal I saue Israel? beholde, my father is poore in Manasseh, and I am the least in my fathers house.(Geneva) Juges 6:15 Gédéon lui dit: Ah! mon seigneur, avec quoi délivrerai-je Israël? Voici, ma famille est la plus pauvre en Manassé, et je suis le plus petit dans la maison de mon père.(FR) 15 ׃6 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ בִּ֣י אֲדֹנָ֔י בַּמָּ֥ה אוֹשִׁ֖יעַ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הִנֵּ֤ה אַלְפִּי֙ הַדַּ֣ל בִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔ה וְאָנֹכִ֥י הַצָּעִ֖יר בְּבֵ֥ית אָבִֽי׃ Judges Jdg 6:15 He said to Him, "O Lord, how shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the least in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father's house."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:16 ============ Jdg 6:16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.(KJV) Judges 6:16 Then the Lord sayd vnto him, I wil therefore be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites, as one man.(Geneva) Juges 6:16 L'Eternel lui dit: Mais je serai avec toi, et tu battras Madian comme un seul homme.(FR) 16 ׃6 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י אֶהְיֶ֖ה עִמָּ֑ךְ וְהִכִּיתָ֥ אֶת־מִדְיָ֖ן כְּאִ֥ישׁ אֶחָֽד׃ Judges Jdg 6:16 But the Lord said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat Midian as one man."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:17 ============ Jdg 6:17 And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.(KJV) Judges 6:17 And he answered him, I pray thee, if I haue founde fauour in thy sight, then shewe me a signe, that thou talkest with me.(Geneva) Juges 6:17 Gédéon lui dit: Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, donne-moi un signe pour montrer que c'est toi qui me parles.(FR) 17 ׃6 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֔יו אִם־נָ֛א מָצָ֥אתִי חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ לִּי֙ א֔וֹת שָׁאַתָּ֖ה מְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמִּֽי׃ Judges Jdg 6:17 So Gideon said to Him, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who speak with me.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:18 ============ Jdg 6:18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.(KJV) Judges 6:18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, vntil I come vnto thee, and bring mine offring, and lay it before thee; he sayde, I will tary vntill thou come againe.(Geneva) Juges 6:18 Ne t'éloigne point d'ici jusqu'à ce que je revienne auprès de toi, que j'apporte mon offrande, et que je la dépose devant toi. Et l'Eternel dit: Je resterai jusqu'à ce que tu reviennes.(FR) 18 ׃6 אַל־נָ֨א תָמֻ֤שׁ מִזֶּה֙ עַד־בֹּאִ֣י אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ אֶת־מִנְחָתִ֔י וְהִנַּחְתִּ֖י לְפָנֶ֑יךָ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר אָנֹכִ֥י אֵשֵׁ֖ב עַ֥ד שׁוּבֶֽךָ׃ Judges Jdg 6:18 Please do not depart from here, until I come back to You, and bring out my offering and lay it before You." And He said, "I will remain until you return."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:19 ============ Jdg 6:19 And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.(KJV) Judges 6:19 Then Gideon went in, and made ready a kidde, and vnleauened bread of an Ephah of floure, and put the flesh in a basket, and put the broth in a pot, and brought it out vnto him vnder the oke, and presented it.(Geneva) Juges 6:19 Gédéon entra, prépara un chevreau, et fit avec un épha de farine des pains sans levain. Il mit la chair dans un panier et le jus dans un pot, les lui apporta sous le térébinthe, et les présenta.(FR) 19 ׃6 וְגִדְע֣וֹן בָּ֗א וַיַּ֤עַשׂ גְּדִֽי־עִזִּים֙ וְאֵיפַת־קֶ֣מַח מַצּ֔וֹת הַבָּשָׂר֙ שָׂ֣ם בַּסַּ֔ל וְהַמָּרַ֖ק שָׂ֣ם בַּפָּר֑וּר וַיּוֹצֵ֥א אֵלָ֛יו אֶל־תַּ֥חַת הָאֵלָ֖ה וַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃ ס Judges Jdg 6:19 Then Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour; he put the meat in a basket and the broth in a pot, and brought them out to him under the oak and presented them.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:20 ============ Jdg 6:20 And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.(KJV) Judges 6:20 And the Angell of God saide vnto him, Take the flesh and the vnleauened bread, and lay them vpon this stone, and powre out the broth: and he did so.(Geneva) Juges 6:20 L'ange de Dieu lui dit: Prends la chair et les pains sans levain, pose-les sur ce rocher, et répands le jus. Et il fit ainsi.(FR) 20 ׃6 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜יו מַלְאַ֣ךְ הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים קַ֣ח אֶת־הַבָּשָׂ֤ר וְאֶת־הַמַּצּוֹת֙ וְהַנַּח֙ אֶל־הַסֶּ֣לַע הַלָּ֔ז וְאֶת־הַמָּרַ֖ק שְׁפ֑וֹךְ וַיַּ֖עַשׂ כֵּֽן׃ Judges Jdg 6:20 The angel of God said to him, "Take the meat and the unleavened bread and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth." And he did so.(nasb) ======= Judges 6:21 ============ Jdg 6:21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.(KJV) Judges 6:21 Then the Angell of the Lord put forth the ende of the staffe that he had in his hand, and touched the flesh and the vnleauened bread: and there arose vp fire out of the stone, & consumed the flesh and the vnleauened bread: so the Angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.(Geneva) Juges 6:21 L'ange de l'Eternel avança l'extrémité du bâton qu'il avait à la main, et toucha la chair et les pains sans levain. Alors il s'éleva du rocher un feu qui consuma la chair et les pains sans levain. Whoever will plead for him shall be put to death by morning. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I will know that You will deliver Israel through me, as You have spoken."(nasb) ======= Judges 6:38 ============ Jdg 6:38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.(KJV) Judges 6:38 And so it was: for he rose vp earely on the morow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, and filled a bowle of water.(Geneva) Juges 6:38 Et il arriva ainsi.
