and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:3 Et l'Eternel lui dit: J'exauce ta prière et ta supplication que tu m'as adressées, je sanctifie cette maison que tu as bâtie pour y mettre à jamais mon nom, et j'aurai toujours là mes yeux et mon coeur.(FR) 3 ׃9 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֵלָ֗יו שָׁ֠מַעְתִּי אֶת־תְּפִלָּתְךָ֣ וְאֶת־תְּחִנָּתְךָ֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִתְחַנַּ֣נְתָּה לְפָנַי֒ הִקְדַּ֗שְׁתִּי אֶת־הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנִ֔תָה לָשֽׂוּם־שְׁמִ֥י שָׁ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם וְהָי֨וּ עֵינַ֧י וְלִבִּ֛י שָׁ֖ם כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:3 The Lord said to him, "I have heard your prayer and your supplication, which you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built by putting My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:4 ============ 1Ki 9:4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:(KJV) 1 Kings 9:4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:4 Et toi, si tu marches en ma présence comme a marché David, ton père, avec sincérité de coeur et avec droiture, faisant tout ce que je t'ai commandé, si tu observes mes lois et mes ordonnances,(FR) 4 ׃9 וְאַתָּ֞ה אִם־תֵּלֵ֣ךְ לְפָנַ֗י כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר הָלַ֜ךְ דָּוִ֤ד אָבִ֙יךָ֙ בְּתָם־לֵבָ֣ב וּבְיֹ֔שֶׁר לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת כְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּיתִ֑יךָ חֻקַּ֥י וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:4 As for you, if you will walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you and will keep My statutes and My ordinances,(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:5 ============ 1Ki 9:5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not wat a man vpon the throne of Israel.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:5 j'établirai pour toujours le trône de ton royaume en Israël, comme je l'ai déclaré à David, ton père, en disant: Tu ne manqueras jamais d'un successeur sur le trône d'Israël.(FR) 5 ׃9 וַהֲקִ֨מֹתִ֜י אֶת־כִּסֵּ֧א מַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְעֹלָ֑ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי עַל־דָּוִ֤ד אָבִ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹֽא־יִכָּרֵ֤ת לְךָ֙ אִ֔ישׁ מֵעַ֖ל כִּסֵּ֥א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:5 then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I promised to your father David, saying, 'You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:6 ============ 1Ki 9:6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:(KJV) 1 Kings 9:6 But if ye & your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commaundements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:6 Mais si vous vous détournez de moi, vous et vos fils, si vous n'observez pas mes commandements, mes lois que je vous ai prescrites, et si vous allez servir d'autres dieux et vous prosterner devant eux,(FR) 6 ׃9 אִם־שׁ֨וֹב תְּשֻׁב֜וּן אַתֶּ֤ם וּבְנֵיכֶם֙ מֵֽאַחֲרַ֔י וְלֹ֤א תִשְׁמְרוּ֙ מִצְוֺתַ֣י חֻקֹּתַ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם וַהֲלַכְתֶּ֗ם וַעֲבַדְתֶּם֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖ם לָהֶֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:6 "But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:7 ============ 1Ki 9:7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:(KJV) 1 Kings 9:7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:7 j'exterminerai Israël du pays que je lui ai donné, je rejetterai loin de moi la maison que j'ai consacrée à mon nom, et Israël sera un sujet de sarcasme et de raillerie parmi tous les peuples.(FR) 7 ׃9 וְהִכְרַתִּ֣י אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מֵעַ֨ל פְּנֵ֤י הָאֲדָמָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תִּי לָהֶ֔ם וְאֶת־הַבַּ֙יִת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּי לִשְׁמִ֔י אֲשַׁלַּ֖ח מֵעַ֣ל פָּנָ֑י וְהָיָ֧ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל לְמָשָׁ֥ל וְלִשְׁנִינָ֖ה בְּכָל־הָעַמִּֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:7 then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will cast out of My sight. So Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:8 ============ 1Ki 9:8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?(KJV) 1 Kings 9:8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shal say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:8 Et si haut placée qu'ait été cette maison, quiconque passera près d'elle sera dans l'étonnement et sifflera. On dira: Pourquoi l'Eternel a-t-il ainsi traité ce pays et cette maison?(FR) 8 ׃9 וְהַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה עֶלְי֔וֹן כָּל־עֹבֵ֥ר עָלָ֖יו יִשֹּׁ֣ם וְשָׁרָ֑ק וְאָמְר֗וּ עַל־מֶ֨ה עָשָׂ֤ה יְהוָה֙ כָּ֔כָה לָאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּ֖את וְלַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:8 And this house will become a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, 'Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?'(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:9 ============ 1Ki 9:9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lorde their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, & haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:9 Et l'on répondra: Parce qu'ils ont abandonné l'Eternel, leur Dieu, qui a fait sortir leurs pères du pays d'Egypte, parce qu'ils se sont attachés à d'autres dieux, se sont prosternés devant eux et les ont servis; voilà pourquoi l'Eternel a fait venir sur eux tous ces maux.(FR) 9 ׃9 וְאָמְר֗וּ עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָזְב֜וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצִ֣יא אֶת־אֲבֹתָם֮ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַיִם֒ וַֽיַּחֲזִ֙קוּ֙ בֵּאלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים *וישתחו **וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם וַיַּעֲבְדֻ֑ם עַל־כֵּ֗ן הֵבִ֤יא יְהוָה֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃ פ Kings1 1Ki 9:9 And they will say, 'Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and adopted other gods and worshiped them and served them, therefore the Lord has brought all this adversity on them.'" (nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:10 ============ 1Ki 9:10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,(KJV) 1 Kings 9:10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:10 Au bout de vingt ans, Salomon avait bâti les deux maisons, la maison de l'Eternel et la maison du roi.(FR) 10 ׃9 וַיְהִ֗י מִקְצֵה֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־בָּנָ֥ה שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה אֶת־שְׁנֵ֣י הַבָּתִּ֑ים אֶת־בֵּ֥ית יְהוָ֖ה וְאֶת־בֵּ֥ית הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:10 It came about at the end of twenty years in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord and the king's house(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:11 ============ 1Ki 9:11 (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:11 Alors, comme Hiram, roi de Tyr, avait fourni à Salomon des bois de cèdre et des bois de cyprès, et de l'or, autant qu'il en voulut, le roi Salomon donna à Hiram vingt villes dans le pays de Galilée.(FR) 11 ׃9 חִירָ֣ם מֶֽלֶךְ־צֹ֠ר נִשָּׂ֨א אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה בַּעֲצֵי֩ אֲרָזִ֨ים וּבַעֲצֵ֧י בְרוֹשִׁ֛ים וּבַזָּהָ֖ב לְכָל־חֶפְצ֑וֹ אָ֡ז יִתֵּן֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֤ה לְחִירָם֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים עִ֔יר בְּאֶ֖רֶץ הַגָּלִֽיל׃ Kings1 1Ki 9:11 (Hiram king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress timber and gold according to all his desire), then King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 9:12 ============ 1Ki 9:12 And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, & they pleased him not.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:12 Hiram sortit de Tyr, pour voir les villes que lui donnait Salomon. And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.(KJV) 1 Kings 9:13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.(Geneva) 1 Rois 9:13 et il dit: Quelles villes m'as-tu données là, mon frère?
