And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:5 And as he told the King, howe he had restored one dead to life, behold, the woman, whose sonne he had raised to life, called vpon the King for her house and for her land. Then Gehazi sayd, My lorde, O King, this is the woman, and this is her sonne, whom Elisha restored to life.(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:5 Et pendant qu'il racontait au roi comment Elisée avait rendu la vie à un mort, la femme dont Elisée avait fait revivre le fils vint implorer le roi au sujet de sa maison et de son champ. Guéhazi dit: O roi, mon seigneur, voici la femme, et voici son fils qu'Elisée a fait revivre.(FR) 5 ׃8 וַ֠יְהִי ה֥וּא מְסַפֵּ֣ר לַמֶּלֶךְ֮ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־הֶחֱיָ֣ה אֶת־הַמֵּת֒ וְהִנֵּ֨ה הָאִשָּׁ֜ה אֲשֶׁר־הֶחֱיָ֤ה אֶת־בְּנָהּ֙ צֹעֶ֣קֶת אֶל־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ עַל־בֵּיתָ֖הּ וְעַל־שָׂדָ֑הּ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר גֵּֽחֲזִי֙ אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ זֹ֚את הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וְזֶה־בְּנָ֖הּ אֲשֶׁר־הֶחֱיָ֥ה אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:5 As he was relating to the king how he had restored to life the one who was dead, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life appealed to the king for her house and for her field. And Gehazi said, "My lord, O king, this is the woman and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:6 ============ 2Ki 8:6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed for her a certain officer, saying, "Restore all that was hers and all the produce of the field from the day that she left the land even until now." (nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:7 ============ 2Ki 8:7 And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:7 Then Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-hadad the King of Aram was sicke, and one told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:7 Elisée se rendit à Damas. Now Ben-hadad king of Aram was sick, and it was told him, saying, "The man of God has come here."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:8 ============ 2Ki 8:8 And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?(KJV) 2 Kings 8:8 And the king sayd vnto Hazael, Take a present in thine hande, and goe meete the man of God, that thou mayest inquire of ye Lord by him, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:8 Le roi dit à Hazaël: Prends avec toi un présent, et va au-devant de l'homme de Dieu; consulte par lui l'Eternel, en disant: Guérirai-je de cette maladie?(FR) 8 ׃8 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶל־חֲזָהאֵ֗ל קַ֤ח בְּיָֽדְךָ֙ מִנְחָ֔ה וְלֵ֕ךְ לִקְרַ֖את אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֨ אֶת־יְהוָ֤ה מֵֽאוֹתוֹ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַאֶחְיֶ֖ה מֵחֳלִ֥י זֶֽה׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:8 The king said to Hazael, "Take a gift in your hand and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying, 'Will I recover from this sickness?'"(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:9 ============ 2Ki 8:9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?(KJV) 2 Kings 8:9 So Hazael went to meete him, and tooke the present in his hand, and of euery good thing of Damascus, euen the burden of fourtie camels, and came and stood before him, and sayde, Thy sonne Ben-hadad King of Aram hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:9 Hazaël alla au-devant d'Elisée, prenant avec lui un présent, tout ce qu'il y avait de meilleur à Damas, la charge de quarante chameaux. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se présenta à lui, et dit: Ton fils Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, m'envoie vers toi pour dire: Guérirai-je de cette maladie?(FR) 9 ׃8 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ חֲזָאֵל֮ לִקְרָאתוֹ֒ וַיִּקַּ֨ח מִנְחָ֤ה בְיָדוֹ֙ וְכָל־ט֣וּב דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק מַשָּׂ֖א אַרְבָּעִ֣ים גָּמָ֑ל וַיָּבֹא֙ וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד לְפָנָ֔יו וַיֹּ֗אמֶר בִּנְךָ֨ בֶן־הֲדַ֤ד מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲרָם֙ שְׁלָחַ֤נִי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַאֶחְיֶ֖ה מֵחֳלִ֥י זֶֽה׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:9 So Hazael went to meet him and took a gift in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels' loads; and he came and stood before him and said, "Your son Ben-hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying, 'Will I recover from this sickness?'"(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:10 ============ 2Ki 8:10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:10 And Elisha sayd to him, Goe, and say vnto him, Thou shalt recouer: howbeit the Lord hath shewed me, that he shall surely dye.(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:10 Elisée lui répondit: Va, dis-lui: Tu guériras! And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:12 And Hazael sayde, Why weepeth my lord? Et Elisée répondit: Parce que je sais le mal que tu feras aux enfants d'Israël; tu mettras le feu à leurs villes fortes, tu tueras avec l'épée leurs jeunes gens, tu écraseras leurs petits enfants, et tu fendras le ventre de leurs femmes enceintes.(FR) 12 ׃8 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר חֲזָאֵ֔ל מַדּ֖וּעַ אֲדֹנִ֣י בֹכֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֡אמֶר כִּֽי־יָדַ֡עְתִּי אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־תַּעֲשֶׂה֩ לִבְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל רָעָ֗ה מִבְצְרֵיהֶ֞ם תְּשַׁלַּ֤ח בָּאֵשׁ֙ וּבַחֻֽרֵיהֶם֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב תַּהֲרֹ֔ג וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם תְּרַטֵּ֔שׁ וְהָרֹתֵיהֶ֖ם תְּבַקֵּֽעַ׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:12 Hazael said, "Why does my lord weep?" Then he answered, "Because I know the evil that you will do to the sons of Israel: their strongholds you will set on fire, and their young men you will kill with the sword, and their little ones you will dash in pieces, and their women with child you will rip up."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:13 ============ 2Ki 8:13 And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:13 Then Hazael said, What? is thy seruant a dog, that I should doe this great thing? Et Elisée dit: L'Eternel m'a révélé que tu seras roi de Syrie.(FR) 13 ׃8 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר חְזָהאֵ֔ל כִּ֣י מָ֤ה עַבְדְּךָ֙ הַכֶּ֔לֶב כִּ֣י יַעֲשֶׂ֔ה הַדָּבָ֥ר הַגָּד֖וֹל הַזֶּ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלִישָׁ֔ע הִרְאַ֧נִי יְהוָ֛ה אֹתְךָ֖ מֶ֥לֶךְ עַל־אֲרָֽם׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:13 Then Hazael said, "But what is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?" And Elisha answered, "The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:14 ============ 2Ki 8:14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, What saide Elisha to thee? Et il répondit: Il m'a dit: Tu guériras!(FR) 14 ׃8 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ ׀ מֵאֵ֣ת אֱלִישָׁ֗ע וַיָּבֹא֙ אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֔יו וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ מָֽה־אָמַ֥ר לְךָ֖ אֱלִישָׁ֑ע וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אָ֥מַר לִ֖י חָיֹ֥ה תִחְיֶֽה׃ Kings2 2Ki 8:14 So he departed from Elisha and returned to his master, who said to him, "What did Elisha say to you?" And he answered, "He told me that you would surely recover."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 8:15 ============ 2Ki 8:15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.(KJV) 2 Kings 8:15 And on the morow he tooke a thick cloth and dipt in it water, and spread it on his face, & hee dyed: and Hazael reigned in his stead.(Geneva) 2 Rois 8:15 Le lendemain, Hazaël prit une couverture, qu'il plongea dans l'eau, et il l'étendit sur le visage du roi, qui mourut. Et Hazaël régna à sa place.(FR) 15 ׃8 וַיְהִ֣י מִֽמָּחֳרָ֗ת וַיִּקַּ֤ח הַמַּכְבֵּר֙ וַיִּטְבֹּ֣ל בַּמַּ֔יִם וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ עַל־פָּנָ֖יו וַיָּמֹ֑ת וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ חֲזָהאֵ֖ל תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ Kings2 2Ki 8:15 On the following day, he took the cover and dipped it in water and spread it on his face, so that he died. And Hazael became king in his place.
