Today's Date: ======= 2 Kings 5:1 ============ 2Ki 5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:1 Now was there one Naaman captaine of the hoste of the King of Aram, a great man, and honourable in the sight of his lorde, because that by him the Lorde had deliuered the Aramites. The man was also a valiant warrior, but he was a leper.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:2 ============ 2Ki 5:2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:2 And the Aramites had gone out by bands, and had taken a litle mayde of the land of Israel, and shee serued Naamans wife.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:2 Or les Syriens étaient sortis par troupes, et ils avaient emmené captive une petite fille du pays d'Israël, qui était au service de la femme de Naaman.(FR) 2 ׃5 וַאֲרָם֙ יָצְא֣וּ גְדוּדִ֔ים וַיִּשְׁבּ֛וּ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל נַעֲרָ֣ה קְטַנָּ֑ה וַתְּהִ֕י לִפְנֵ֖י אֵ֥שֶׁת נַעֲמָֽן׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:2 Now the Arameans had gone out in bands and had taken captive a little girl from the land of Israel; and she waited on Naaman's wife.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:3 ============ 2Ki 5:3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:3 And she sayd vnto her mistres, Would God my lord were with the Prophet that is in Samaria, he would soone deliuer him of his leprosie.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:3 Et elle dit à sa maîtresse: Oh! si mon seigneur était auprès du prophète qui est à Samarie, le prophète le guérirait de sa lèpre!(FR) 3 ׃5 וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־גְּבִרְתָּ֔הּ אַחֲלֵ֣י אֲדֹנִ֔י לִפְנֵ֥י הַנָּבִ֖יא אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּשֹׁמְר֑וֹן אָ֛ז יֶאֱסֹ֥ף אֹת֖וֹ מִצָּרַעְתּֽוֹ׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:3 She said to her mistress, "I wish that my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:5 And the King of Aram sayde, Goe thy way thither, and I will send a letter vnto the King of Israel; he departed, and tooke with him ten talents of siluer, and sixe thousand pieces of golde, and ten change of rayments,(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:5 Et le roi de Syrie dit: Va, rends-toi à Samarie, et j'enverrai une lettre au roi d'Israël. Il partit, prenant avec lui dix talents d'argent, six mille sicles d'or, et dix vêtements de rechange.(FR) 5 ׃5 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲרָם֙ לֶךְ־בֹּ֔א וְאֶשְׁלְחָ֥ה סֵ֖פֶר אֶל־מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֵּלֶךְ֩ וַיִּקַּ֨ח בְּיָד֜וֹ עֶ֣שֶׂר כִּכְּרֵי־כֶ֗סֶף וְשֵׁ֤שֶׁת אֲלָפִים֙ זָהָ֔ב וְעֶ֖שֶׂר חֲלִיפ֥וֹת בְּגָדִֽים׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:5 Then the king of Aram said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." He departed and took with him ten talents of silver and six thousand shekels of gold and ten changes of clothes.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:6 ============ 2Ki 5:6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:6 And brought the letter to the King of Israel to this effect, Now when this letter is come vnto thee, vnderstand, that I haue sent thee Naaman my seruant, that thou maiest heale him of his leprosie.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:6 Il porta au roi d'Israël la lettre, où il était dit: Maintenant, quand cette lettre te sera parvenue, tu sauras que je t'envoie Naaman, mon serviteur, afin que tu le guérisses de sa lèpre.(FR) 6 ׃5 וַיָּבֵ֣א הַסֵּ֔פֶר אֶל־מֶ֥לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר וְעַתָּ֗ה כְּב֨וֹא הַסֵּ֤פֶר הַזֶּה֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ הִנֵּ֨ה שָׁלַ֤חְתִּי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ אֶת־נַעֲמָ֣ן עַבְדִּ֔י וַאֲסַפְתּ֖וֹ מִצָּרַעְתּֽוֹ׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:6 He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, "And now as this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may cure him of his leprosy."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:7 ============ 2Ki 5:7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:7 And when the King of Israel had read the letter, he rent his clothes, and sayde, Am I God, to kil and to giue life, that hee doth send to mee, that I should heale a man from his leprosie? wherfore consider, I pray you, and see howe he seeketh a quarel against me.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:7 Après avoir lu la lettre, le roi d'Israël déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Suis-je un dieu, pour faire mourir et pour faire vivre, qu'il s'adresse à moi afin que je guérisse un homme de sa lèpre? Sachez donc et comprenez qu'il cherche une occasion de dispute avec moi.(FR) 7 ׃5 וַיְהִ֡י כִּקְרֹא֩ מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל אֶת־הַסֵּ֜פֶר וַיִּקְרַ֣ע בְּגָדָ֗יו וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ הַאֱלֹהִ֥ים אָ֙נִי֙ לְהָמִ֣ית וּֽלְהַחֲי֔וֹת כִּֽי־זֶה֙ שֹׁלֵ֣חַ אֵלַ֔י לֶאֱסֹ֥ף אִ֖ישׁ מִצָּֽרַעְתּ֑וֹ כִּ֤י אַךְ־דְּעֽוּ־נָא֙ וּרְא֔וּ כִּֽי־מִתְאַנֶּ֥ה ה֖וּא לִֽי׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:7 When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man is sending word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? But consider now, and see how he is seeking a quarrel against me."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:8 ============ 2Ki 5:8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:8 But when Elisha the man of God had heard that the King of Israel had rent his clothes, hee sent vnto the King, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? So he turned and went away in a rage.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:12 Are not Abanah and Pharpar, riuers of Damascus, better then all the waters of Israel? may I not washe mee in them, and bee cleansed? so hee turned, and departed in displeasure.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:12 Les fleuves de Damas, l'Abana et le Parpar, ne valent-ils pas mieux que toutes les eaux d'Israël? How much more then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:14 ============ 2Ki 5:14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:14 Then went he downe, and washed him selfe seuen times in Iorden, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came againe, like vnto ye flesh of a litle child, & he was cleane.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:14 Il descendit alors et se plongea sept fois dans le Jourdain, selon la parole de l'homme de Dieu; et sa chair redevint comme la chair d'un jeune enfant, et il fut pur.(FR) 14 ׃5 וַיֵּ֗רֶד וַיִּטְבֹּ֤ל בַּיַּרְדֵּן֙ שֶׁ֣בַע פְּעָמִ֔ים כִּדְבַ֖ר אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיָּ֣שָׁב בְּשָׂר֗וֹ כִּבְשַׂ֛ר נַ֥עַר קָטֹ֖ן וַיִּטְהָֽר׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:14 So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was clean. (nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:15 ============ 2Ki 5:15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:15 And hee turned againe to the man of God, hee, and all his companie, and came and stood before him, and sayd, Behold, now I knowe that there is no God in all the world, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a reward of thy seruant.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:15 Naaman retourna vers l'homme de Dieu, avec toute sa suite. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se présenta devant lui, et dit: Voici, je reconnais qu'il n'y a point de Dieu sur toute la terre, si ce n'est en Israël. Et maintenant, accepte, je te prie, un présent de la part de ton serviteur.(FR) 15 ׃5 וַיָּשָׁב֩ אֶל־אִ֨ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים ה֣וּא וְכָֽל־מַחֲנֵ֗הוּ וַיָּבֹא֮ וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד לְפָנָיו֒ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הִנֵּה־נָ֤א יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ כִּ֣י אֵ֤ין אֱלֹהִים֙ בְּכָל־הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֖י אִם־בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְעַתָּ֛ה קַח־נָ֥א בְרָכָ֖ה מֵאֵ֥ת עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:15 When he returned to the man of God with all his company, and came and stood before him, he said, "Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so please take a present from your servant now."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:16 ============ 2Ki 5:16 But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:16 But hee sayde, As the Lorde liueth (before whom I stand) I wil not receiue it; he would haue costrained him to receiue it, but he refused.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:16 Elisée répondit: L'Eternel, dont je suis le serviteur, est vivant! je n'accepterai pas. Naaman le pressa d'accepter, mais il refusa.(FR) 16 ׃5 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר חַי־יְהוָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר־עָמַ֥דְתִּי לְפָנָ֖יו אִם־אֶקָּ֑ח וַיִּפְצַר־בּ֥וֹ לָקַ֖חַת וַיְמָאֵֽן׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:16 But he said, "As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will take nothing." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:17 ============ 2Ki 5:17 And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:17 Moreouer Naaman sayde, Shall there not be giuen to thy seruant two mules loade of this earth? for thy seruant will henceforth offer neither burnt sacrifice nor offring vnto any other god, saue vnto the Lord.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:17 Alors Naaman dit: Puisque tu refuses, permets que l'on donne de la terre à ton serviteur, une charge de deux mulets; car ton serviteur ne veut plus offrir à d'autres dieux ni holocauste ni sacrifice, il n'en offrira qu'à l'Eternel.(FR) 17 ׃5 וַיֹּאמֶר֮ נַעֲמָן֒ וָלֹ֕א יֻתַּן־נָ֣א לְעַבְדְּךָ֔ מַשָּׂ֥א צֶֽמֶד־פְּרָדִ֖ים אֲדָמָ֑ה כִּ֡י לֽוֹא־יַעֲשֶׂה֩ ע֨וֹד עַבְדְּךָ֜ עֹלָ֤ה וָזֶ֙בַח֙ לֵאלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים כִּ֖י אִם־לַיהוָֽה׃ Kings2 2Ki 5:17 Naaman said, "If not, please let your servant at least be given two mules' load of earth; for your servant will no longer offer burnt offering nor will he sacrifice to other gods, but to the Lord.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 5:18 ============ 2Ki 5:18 In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.(KJV) 2 Kings 5:18 Herein the Lorde bee mercifull vnto thy seruant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon, to worship there, and leaneth on mine hand, and I bowe my selfe in the house of Rimmon: when I doe bowe downe, I say, in the house of Rimmon, the Lord be mercifull vnto thy seruant in this point.(Geneva) 2 Rois 5:18 Voici toutefois ce que je prie l'Eternel de pardonner à ton serviteur.
