Ils assiégèrent Achaz; mais ils ne purent pas le vaincre.(FR) 5 ׃16 אָ֣ז יַעֲלֶ֣ה רְצִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲ֠רָם וּפֶ֨קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֧הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וַיָּצֻ֙רוּ֙ עַל־אָחָ֔ז וְלֹ֥א יָכְל֖וּ לְהִלָּחֵֽם׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:5 Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:6 ============ 2Ki 16:6 At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:6 At the same time Rezin king of Aram restored Elath to Aram, & droue the Iewes from Elath: so the Aramites came to Elath, and dwelt there vnto this day.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:6 Dans ce même temps, Retsin, roi de Syrie, fit rentrer Elath au pouvoir des Syriens; il expulsa d'Elath les Juifs, et les Syriens vinrent à Elath, où ils ont habité jusqu'à ce jour.(FR) 6 ׃16 בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗יא הֵ֠שִׁיב רְצִ֨ין מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲרָ֤ם אֶת־אֵילַת֙ לַֽאֲרָ֔ם וַיְנַשֵּׁ֥ל אֶת־הַיְהוּדִ֖ים מֵֽאֵיל֑וֹת *וארמים **וַֽאֲדוֹמִים֙ בָּ֣אוּ אֵילַ֔ת וַיֵּ֣שְׁבוּ שָׁ֔ם עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ פ Kings2 2Ki 16:6 At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram, and cleared the Judeans out of Elath entirely; and the Arameans came to Elath and have lived there to this day. (nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:7 ============ 2Ki 16:7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:7 Then Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, saying, I am thy seruant & thy sonne: come vp, & deliuer me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the King of Israel which rise vp against me.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:7 Achaz envoya des messagers à Tiglath-Piléser, roi d'Assyrie, pour lui dire: Je suis ton serviteur et ton fils; monte, et délivre-moi de la main du roi de Syrie et de la main du roi d'Israël, qui s'élèvent contre moi.(FR) 7 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח אָחָ֜ז מַלְאָכִ֗ים אֶל־תִּ֠גְלַת פְּלֶ֤סֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר עַבְדְּךָ֥ וּבִנְךָ֖ אָ֑נִי עֲלֵ֨ה וְהוֹשִׁעֵ֜נִי מִכַּ֣ף מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲרָ֗ם וּמִכַּף֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הַקּוֹמִ֖ים עָלָֽי׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, "I am your servant and your son; come up and deliver me from the hand of the king of Aram and from the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:8 ============ 2Ki 16:8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:8 And Ahaz tooke the siluer and the golde that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the Kings house, and sent a present vnto the King of Asshur.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:8 Et Achaz prit l'argent et l'or qui se trouvaient dans la maison de l'Eternel et dans les trésors de la maison du roi, et il l'envoya en présent au roi d'Assyrie.(FR) 8 ׃16 וַיִּקַּ֨ח אָחָ֜ז אֶת־הַכֶּ֣סֶף וְאֶת־הַזָּהָ֗ב הַנִּמְצָא֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה וּבְאֹֽצְר֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח לְמֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֖וּר שֹֽׁחַד׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:8 Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the Lord and in the treasuries of the king's house, and sent a present to the king of Assyria.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:9 ============ 2Ki 16:9 And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:9 And the King of Asshur consented vnto him: and the King of Asshur went vp against Damascus; when he had taken it, he caryed the people away to Kir, and slew Rezin.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:9 Le roi d'Assyrie l'écouta; il monta contre Damas, la prit, emmena les habitants en captivité à Kir, et fit mourir Retsin.(FR) 9 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע אֵלָיו֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר וַיַּעַל֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ אַשּׁ֤וּר אֶל־דַּמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙ וַֽיִּתְפְּשֶׂ֔הָ וַיַּגְלֶ֖הָ קִ֑ירָה וְאֶת־רְצִ֖ין הֵמִֽית׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:9 So the king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and captured it, and carried the people of it away into exile to Kir, and put Rezin to death. (nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:10 ============ 2Ki 16:10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:10 And King Ahaz went vnto Damascus to meete Tiglath Pileser King of Asshur: and when King Ahaz sawe the altar that was at Damascus, he sent to Vriiah the Priest the paterne of the altar, and the facion of it, and all the workemanship thereof.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:10 Le roi Achaz se rendit à Damas au-devant de Tiglath-Piléser, roi d'Assyrie. Et ayant vu l'autel qui était à Damas, le roi Achaz envoya au sacrificateur Urie le modèle et la forme exacte de cet autel.(FR) 10 ׃16 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָחָ֡ז לִ֠קְרַאת תִּגְלַ֨ת פִּלְאֶ֤סֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ דּוּמֶּ֔שֶׂק וַיַּ֥רְא אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּדַמָּ֑שֶׂק וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ אָחָ֜ז אֶל־אוּרִיָּ֣ה הַכֹּהֵ֗ן אֶת־דְּמ֧וּת הַמִּזְבֵּ֛חַ וְאֶת־תַּבְנִית֖וֹ לְכָֽל־מַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:10 Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar and its model, according to all its workmanship.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:11 ============ 2Ki 16:11 And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:11 And Vriiah the Priest made an altar in al poyntes like to that which King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so did Vriiah the Priest against King Ahaz came from Damascus.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:11 Le sacrificateur Urie construisit un autel entièrement d'après le modèle envoyé de Damas par le roi Achaz, et le sacrificateur Urie le fit avant que le roi Achaz fût de retour de Damas.(FR) 11 ׃16 וַיִּ֛בֶן אוּרִיָּ֥ה הַכֹּהֵ֖ן אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ כְּכֹ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַח֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ אָחָ֜ז מִדַּמֶּ֗שֶׂק כֵּ֤ן עָשָׂה֙ אוּרִיָּ֣ה הַכֹּהֵ֔ן עַד־בּ֥וֹא הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־אָחָ֖ז מִדַּמָּֽשֶׂק׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:11 So Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, thus Urijah the priest made it, before the coming of King Ahaz from Damascus.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:12 ============ 2Ki 16:12 And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:12 So when the King was come from Damascus, the King sawe the altar: and the King drewe neere to the altar and offered thereon.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:12 A son arrivée de Damas, le roi vit l'autel, s'en approcha et y monta:(FR) 12 ׃16 וַיָּבֹ֤א הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ מִדַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק וַיַּ֥רְא הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּקְרַ֥ב הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ וַיַּ֥עַל עָלָֽיו׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:12 When the king came from Damascus, the king saw the altar; then the king approached the altar and went up to it,(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:13 ============ 2Ki 16:13 And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:13 And hee burnt his burnt offering, and his meate offring, and powred his drinke offring, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offrings besides the altar,(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:13 il fit brûler son holocauste et son offrande, versa ses libations, et répandit sur l'autel le sang de ses sacrifices d'actions de grâces.(FR) 13 ׃16 וַיַּקְטֵ֤ר אֶת־עֹֽלָתוֹ֙ וְאֶת־מִנְחָת֔וֹ וַיַּסֵּ֖ךְ אֶת־נִסְכּ֑וֹ וַיִּזְרֹ֛ק אֶת־דַּֽם־הַשְּׁלָמִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־ל֖וֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:13 and burned his burnt offering and his meal offering, and poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:14 ============ 2Ki 16:14 And he brought also the brasen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:14 And set it by the brasen altar which was before the Lord, and brought it in farther before the house betweene the altar & the house of the Lord, and set it on the North side of the altar.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:14 Il éloigna de la face de la maison l'autel d'airain qui était devant l'Eternel, afin qu'il ne fût pas entre le nouvel autel et la maison de l'Eternel; et il le plaça à côté du nouvel autel, vers le nord.(FR) 14 ׃16 וְאֵ֨ת הַמִּזְבַּ֣ח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וַיַּקְרֵ֗ב מֵאֵת֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַבַּ֔יִת מִבֵּין֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וּמִבֵּ֖ין בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֹת֛וֹ עַל־יֶ֥רֶךְ הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ צָפֽוֹנָה׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:14 The bronze altar, which was before the Lord, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the Lord, and he put it on the north side of his altar.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:15 ============ 2Ki 16:15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:15 And King Ahaz commanded Vriiah the Priest, and sayde, Vpon the great altar set on fire in the morning the burnt offring, and in the euen the meate offring, and the Kings burnt offring & his meate offering, with the burnt offring of all the people of the lande, and their meate offring, and their drinke offrings: and powre thereby all the blood of the burnt offring, & all the blood of the sacrifice, and the brasen altar shalbe for me to inquire of God.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:15 Et le roi Achaz donna cet ordre au sacrificateur Urie: Fais brûler sur le grand autel l'holocauste du matin et l'offrande du soir, l'holocauste du roi et son offrande, les holocaustes de tout le peuple du pays et leurs offrandes, verses-y leurs libations, et répands-y tout le sang des holocaustes et tout le sang des sacrifices; pour ce qui concerne l'autel d'airain, je m'en occuperai.(FR) 15 ׃16 *ויצוהו **וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־אָ֠חָז אֶת־אוּרִיָּ֨ה הַכֹּהֵ֜ן לֵאמֹ֗ר עַ֣ל הַמִּזְבֵּ֣חַ הַגָּד֡וֹל הַקְטֵ֣ר אֶת־עֹֽלַת־הַבֹּקֶר֩ וְאֶת־מִנְחַ֨ת הָעֶ֜רֶב וְֽאֶת־עֹלַ֧ת הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ וְאֶת־מִנְחָת֗וֹ וְ֠אֵת עֹלַ֞ת כָּל־עַ֤ם הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וּמִנְחָתָ֣ם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֔ם וְכָל־דַּ֥ם עֹלָ֛ה וְכָל־דַּם־זֶ֖בַח עָלָ֣יו תִּזְרֹ֑ק וּמִזְבַּ֧ח הַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁת יִֽהְיֶה־לִּ֖י לְבַקֵּֽר׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:15 Then King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, "Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burnt offering and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land and their meal offering and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice. But the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by."(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:16 ============ 2Ki 16:16 Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:16 And Vriiah the Priest did according to all that King Ahaz had commanded.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:16 Le sacrificateur Urie se conforma à tout ce que le roi Achaz avait ordonné.(FR) 16 ׃16 וַיַּ֖עַשׂ אוּרִיָּ֣ה הַכֹּהֵ֑ן כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖ה הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אָחָֽז׃ Kings2 2Ki 16:16 So Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.(nasb) ======= 2 Kings 16:17 ============ 2Ki 16:17 And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones.(KJV) 2 Kings 16:17 And King Ahaz brake the borders of the bases, and tooke the caldrons from off them, and tooke downe the sea from the brasen oxen that were vnder it, and put it vpon a pauement of stones.(Geneva) 2 Rois 16:17 Et le roi Achaz brisa les panneaux des bases, et en ôta les bassins qui étaient dessus.
