(nasb) ======= Luke 19:3 ============ Luk 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.(KJV) Luke 19:3 And he sought to see Iesus, who hee should be, and coulde not for the preasse, because he was of a lowe stature.(Geneva) Luc 19:3 cherchait à voir qui était Jésus; mais il ne pouvait y parvenir, à cause de la foule, car il était de petite taille.(FR) וַיְבַקֵּשׁ לִרְאוֹת אֶת־יֵשׁוּעַ מַה־תָּאֳרוֹ וְלֹא יָכֹל מִפְּנֵי הָעָם כִּי־שְׁפַל קוֹמָה הָיָה׃ ג Luke Luk 19:3 Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:4 ============ Luk 19:4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.(KJV) Luke 19:4 Wherefore he ranne before, and climed vp into a wilde figge tree, that he might see him: for he should come that way.(Geneva) Luc 19:4 Il courut en avant, et monta sur un sycomore pour le voir, parce qu'il devait passer par là.(FR) וַיָּרָץ לְפָנָיו וַיַּעַל עַל־עֵץ שִׁקְמָה לִרְאֹתוֹ כִּי הוּא הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר יַעֲבָר־שָׁמָּה׃ ד Luke Luk 19:4 So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:7 ============ Luk 19:7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.(KJV) Luke 19:7 And when all they sawe it, they murmured, saying, that hee was gone in to lodge with a sinfull man.(Geneva) Luc 19:7 Voyant cela, tous murmuraient, et disaient: Il est allé loger chez un homme pécheur.(FR) וַיִּלֹּנוּ כָל־הָרֹאִים לֵאמֹר אֶל־בֵּית אִישׁ חֹטֵא נָטָה לָלוּן׃ ז Luke Luk 19:7 When they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner."(nasb) ======= Luke 19:8 ============ Luk 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.(KJV) Luke 19:8 And Zaccheus stood forth, & said vnto the Lord, Beholde, Lord, the halfe of my goods I giue to the poore: and if I haue taken from any man by forged cauillation, I restore him foure folde.(Geneva) Luc 19:8 Mais Zachée, se tenant devant le Seigneur, lui dit: Voici, Seigneur, je donne aux pauvres la moitié de mes biens, et, si j'ai fait tort de quelque chose à quelqu'un, je lui rends le quadruple.(FR) וַיַּעֲמֹד זַכָּי וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־הָאָדוֹן רְאֵה אֲדֹנִי הִנְנִי נֹתֵן מַחֲצִית כַּסְפִּי לָעֲנִיִּים וְאִם־עָשַׁקְתִּי אִישׁ מְאוּמָה אָשִׁיב לוֹ אַרְבַּעְתָּיִם׃ ח Luke Luk 19:8 Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord," Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much."(nasb) ======= Luke 19:9 ============ Luk 19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.(KJV) Luke 19:9 Then Iesus said to him, This day is saluation come vnto this house, forasmuch as hee is also become the sonne of Abraham.(Geneva) Luc 19:9 Jésus lui dit: Le salut est entré aujourd'hui dans cette maison, parce que celui-ci est aussi un fils d'Abraham.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ הַיּוֹם הָיְתָה תְשׁוּעָה לַבַּיִת הַזֶּה בַּאֲשֶׁר גַּם־הוּא בֶּן־אַבְרָהָם׃ ט Luke Luk 19:9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:11 ============ Luk 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.(KJV) Luke 19:11 And whiles they heard these thinges, hee continued and spake a parable, because hee was neere to Hierusalem, & because also they thought that the kingdom of God should shortly appeare.(Geneva) Luc 19:11 Ils écoutaient ces choses, et Jésus ajouta une parabole, parce qu'il était près de Jérusalem, et qu'on croyait qu'à l'instant le royaume de Dieu allait paraître.(FR) וְכַאֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעוּ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיּוֹסֶף וַיְמַשֵּׁל לָהֶם מָשָׁל כִּי קָרוֹב הָיָה לִירוּשָׁלַיִם וְהֵם חָשְׁבוּ כִּי עַד־מְהֵרָה תִגָּלֶה מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים׃ יא Luke Luk 19:11 While they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:12 ============ Luk 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.(KJV) Luke 19:12 He saide therefore, A certaine noble man went into a farre countrey, to receiue for himselfe a kingdome, and so to come againe.(Geneva) Luc 19:12 Il dit donc: Un homme de haute naissance s'en alla dans un pays lointain, pour se faire investir de l'autorité royale, et revenir ensuite.(FR) וַיֹּאמַר אִישׁ נָדִיב הָלַךְ אֶל־אֶרֶץ רְחוֹקָה לָקַחַת־לוֹ מַמְלָכָה וְלָשׁוּב׃ יב Luke Luk 19:12 So He said, "A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:13 ============ Luk 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.(KJV) Luke 19:13 And he called his ten seruants, and deliuered them ten pieces of money, and sayd vnto them, Occupie till I come.(Geneva) Luc 19:13 Il appela dix de ses serviteurs, leur donna dix mines, et leur dit: Faites-les valoir jusqu'à ce que je revienne.(FR) וַיִּקְרָא אֶל־עֲשָׂרָה מֵעֲבָדָיו וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם עֲשֶׂרֶת מָנִים וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם סַחֲרוּ בָזֶה עַד בֹּאִי׃ יג Luke Luk 19:13 And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas and said to them, 'Do business with this until I come back.'(nasb) ======= Luke 19:14 ============ Luk 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.(KJV) Luke 19:14 Nowe his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not haue this man to reigne ouer vs.(Geneva) Luc 19:14 Mais ses concitoyens le haïssaient, et ils envoyèrent une ambassade après lui, pour dire: Nous ne voulons pas que cet homme règne sur nous.(FR) וְאַנְשֵׁי עִירוֹ שָׂנְאוּ אֹתוֹ וַיִּשְׁלְחוּ אַחֲרָיו מַלְאָכִים לֵאמֹר אֵין אֶת־נַפְשֵׁנוּ כִּי זֶה יִמְלֹךְ עָלֵינוּ׃ יד Luke Luk 19:14 But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We do not want this man to reign over us.'(nasb) ======= Luke 19:15 ============ Luk 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.(KJV) Luke 19:15 And it came to passe, when hee was come againe, and had receiued his kingdome, that he commanded the seruants to be called to him, to whome he gaue his money, that he might knowe what euery man had gained.(Geneva) Luc 19:15 Lorsqu'il fut de retour, après avoir été investi de l'autorité royale, il fit appeler auprès de lui les serviteurs auxquels il avait donné l'argent, afin de connaître comment chacun l'avait fait valoir.(FR) וַיְהִי אַחֲרֵי שׁוּבוֹ וְהַמַּמְלָכָה נָכוֹנָה בְיָדוֹ וַיְצַו לִקְרֹא אֵלָיו אֶת־הָעֲבָדִים הָהֵם אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָהֶם אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף לִרְאוֹת מֶה־עָשָׂה אִישׁ אִישׁ בְּמִסְחָרוֹ׃ טו Luke Luk 19:15 When he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to him so that he might know what business they had done. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:(KJV) Luke 19:22 Then he sayde vnto him, Of thine owne mouth will I iudge thee, O euill seruant. Did you know that I am an exacting man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow? (nasb) ======= Luke 19:37 ============ Luk 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;(KJV) Luke 19:37 And when he was nowe come neere to the going downe of the mount of Oliues, the whole multitude of the disciples began to reioyce, and to prayse God with a loude voyce, for all the great workes that they had seene,(Geneva) Luc 19:37 Et lorsque déjà il approchait de Jérusalem, vers la descente de la montagne des oliviers, toute la multitude des disciples, saisie de joie, se mit à louer Dieu à haute voix pour tous les miracles qu'ils avaient vus.(FR) וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר הִקְרִיב אֶל־מוֹרַד הַר הַזֵּיתִים וַיָּחֵלוּ כָּל־קְהַל תַּלְמִידָיו לְבָרֵךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים בְּחֶדְוָה וּבְקוֹל רִנָּה עַל כָּל־הַנִּפְלָאוֹת אֲשֶׁר רָאוּ לֵאמֹר׃ לז Luke Luk 19:37 As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, (nasb) ======= Luke 19:38 ============ Luk 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.(KJV) Luke 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that commeth in the Name of the Lord: peace in heauen, and glory in the highest places.(Geneva) Luc 19:38 Ils disaient: Béni soit le roi qui vient au nom du Seigneur! Mais maintenant elles sont cachées à tes yeux.(FR) לוּ יָדַעַתְּ גַּם־אַתְּ בְּיוֹמֵךְ זֶה מֵאַיִן יָבֹא שְׁלוֹמֵךְ אַךְ נִסְתָּר הוּא מִנֶּגֶד עֵינָיִךְ׃ מב Luke Luk 19:42 saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. (nasb) ======= Luke 19:43 ============ Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,(KJV) Luke 19:43 For the dayes shall come vpon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compasse thee round, and keepe thee in on euery side,(Geneva) Luc 19:43 Il viendra sur toi des jours où tes ennemis t'environneront de tranchées, t'enfermeront, et te serreront de toutes parts;(FR) כִּי הִנֵּה יָמִים בָּאִים וְשָׁפְכוּ עָלַיִךְ אֹיְבִים סֹלְלָה מִסָּבִיב וְהִקִּיפוּךְ וְצָרוּ עָלַיִךְ מִכָּל־עֵבֶר׃ מג Luke Luk 19:43 For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, (nasb) ======= Luke 19:44 ============ Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.(KJV) Luke 19:44 And shall make thee euen with ye ground, and thy children which are in thee, and they shall not leaue in thee a stone vpon a stone, because thou knewest not that season of thy visitation.(Geneva) Luc 19:44 ils te détruiront, toi et tes enfants au milieu de toi, et ils ne laisseront pas en toi pierre sur pierre, parce que tu n'as pas connu le temps où tu as été visitée.(FR) וְנִפְּצוּ אֹתָךְ וְאֶת־בָּנַיִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּךְ עַד־עָפָר וְלֹא־יַשְׁאִירוּ בָךְ אֶבֶן עַל־אָבֶן תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַעַתְּ עֵת פְּקֻדָּתֵךְ׃ מד Luke Luk 19:44 and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation." Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם כָּתוּב כִּי בֵיתִי בֵּית־תְּפִילָּה הוּא וְאַתֶּם עֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתוֹ לִמְעָרַת פָּרִיצִים׃ מו Luke Luk 19:46 saying to them, "It is written, 'AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,' but you have made it a ROBBERS' DEN."(nasb) ======= Luke 19:47 ============ Luk 19:47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,(KJV) Luke 19:47 And he taught dayly in the Temple; the hie Priests and the Scribes, and the chiefe of the people sought to destroy him.(Geneva) Luc 19:47 Il enseignait tous les jours dans le temple.
