For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground;(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:6 ============ Gen 2:6 But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.(nasb) Gen 2:6 πηγὴ δὲ ἀνέβαινεν ἐκ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπότιζεν πᾶν τὸ πρόσωπον τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 2:6 sed fons ascendebat e terra, irrigans universam superficiem terræ.(vulgate) Gen 2:6 Aber ein Nebel ging auf von der Erde und feuchtete alles Land.(dhs) Gen 2:6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:7 ============ Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.(nasb) Gen 2:7 καὶ ἔπλασεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον χοῦν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐνεφύσησεν εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ πνοὴν ζωῆς καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰς ψυχὴν ζῶσαν (lxx) Gen 2:7 Formavit igitur Dominus Deus hominem de limo terræ, et inspiravit in faciem ejus spiraculum vitæ, et factus est homo in animam viventem.(vulgate) Gen 2:7 Und Gott der HERR machte den Menschen aus einem Erdenkloß, uns blies ihm ein den lebendigen Odem in seine Nase. Und also ward der Mensch eine lebendige Seele.(dhs) Gen 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:8 ============ Gen 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.(nasb) Gen 2:8 καὶ ἐφύτευσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς παράδεισον ἐν Εδεμ κατὰ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἔθετο ἐκεῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ὃν ἔπλασεν (lxx) Gen 2:8 Plantaverat autem Dominus Deus paradisum voluptatis a principio, in quo posuit hominem quem formaverat.(vulgate) Gen 2:8 Und Gott der HERR pflanzte einen Garten in Eden gegen Morgen und setzte den Menschen hinein, den er gemacht hatte.(dhs) Gen 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:9 ============ Gen 2:9 Out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.(nasb) Gen 2:9 καὶ ἐξανέτειλεν ὁ θεὸς ἔτι ἐκ τῆς γῆς πᾶν ξύλον ὡραῖον εἰς ὅρασιν καὶ καλὸν εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς ἐν μέσῳ τῷ παραδείσῳ καὶ τὸ ξύλον τοῦ εἰδέναι γνωστὸν καλοῦ καὶ πονηροῦ (lxx) Gen 2:9 Produxitque Dominus Deus de humo omne lignum pulchrum visu, et ad vescendum suave lignum etiam vitæ in medio paradisi, lignumque scientiæ boni et mali.(vulgate) Gen 2:9 Und Gott der HERR ließ aufwachsen aus der Erde allerlei Bäume, lustig anzusehen und gut zu essen, und den Baum des Lebens mitten im Garten und den Baum der Erkenntnis des Guten und Bösen.(dhs) Gen 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:10 ============ Gen 2:10 Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.(nasb) Gen 2:10 ποταμὸς δὲ ἐκπορεύεται ἐξ Εδεμ ποτίζειν τὸν παράδεισον ἐκεῖθεν ἀφορίζεται εἰς τέσσαρας ἀρχάς (lxx) Gen 2:10 Et fluvius egrediebatur de loco voluptatis ad irrigandum paradisum, qui inde dividitur in quatuor capita.(vulgate) Gen 2:10 Und es ging aus von Eden ein Strom, zu wässern den Garten, und er teilte sich von da in vier Hauptwasser.(dhs) Gen 2:10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:11 ============ Gen 2:11 The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.(nasb) Gen 2:11 ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φισων οὗτος ὁ κυκλῶν πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Ευιλατ ἐκεῖ οὗ ἐστιν τὸ χρυσίον (lxx) Gen 2:11 Nomen uni Phison: ipse est qui circuit omnem terram Hevilath, ubi nascitur aurum:(vulgate) Gen 2:11 Das erste heißt Pison, das fließt um das ganze Land Hevila; und daselbst findet man Gold.(dhs) Gen 2:11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 2:12 ============ Gen 2:12 The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there.(nasb) Gen 2:12 τὸ δὲ χρυσίον τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης καλόν καὶ ἐκεῖ ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθραξ καὶ ὁ λίθος ὁ πράσινος (lxx) Gen 2:12 et aurum terræ illius optimum est; ibi invenitur bdellium, et lapis onychinus.(vulgate) Gen 2:12 Und das Gold des Landes ist köstlich; und da findet man Bedellion und den Edelstein Onyx.(dhs) Gen 2:12 And the gold of that land is good. Fluvius autem quartus, ipse est Euphrates.(vulgate) Gen 2:14 Das dritte Wasser heißt Hiddekel, das fließt vor Assyrien.
