Today's Date: ======= Genesis 9:1 ============ Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.(nasb) Gen 9:1 καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Νωε καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ κατακυριεύσατε αὐτῆς (lxx) Gen 9:1 Benedixitque Deus Noë et filiis ejus. Et dixit ad eos: Crescite, et multiplicamini, et replete terram.(vulgate) Gen 9:1 Und Gott segnete Noah und seine Söhne und sprach: Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und erfüllt die Erde.(dhs) Gen 9:1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:2 ============ Gen 9:2 The fear of you and the terror of you will be on every beast of the earth and on every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given.(nasb) Gen 9:2 καὶ ὁ τρόμος ὑμῶν καὶ ὁ φόβος ἔσται ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὄρνεα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ κινούμενα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἰχθύας τῆς θαλάσσης ὑπὸ χεῖρας ὑμῖν δέδωκα (lxx) Gen 9:2 Et terror vester ac tremor sit super cuncta animalia terræ, et super omnes volucres cæli, cum universis quæ moventur super terram: omnes pisces maris manui vestræ traditi sunt.(vulgate) Gen 9:2 Furcht und Schrecken vor euch sei über alle Tiere auf Erden und über alle Vögel unter dem Himmel, über alles, was auf dem Erdboden kriecht, und über alle Fische im Meer; in eure Hände seien sie gegeben.(dhs) Gen 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:3 ============ Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.(nasb) Gen 9:3 καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετόν ὅ ἐστιν ζῶν ὑμῖν ἔσται εἰς βρῶσιν ὡς λάχανα χόρτου δέδωκα ὑμῖν τὰ πάντα (lxx) Gen 9:3 Et omne, quod movetur et vivit, erit vobis in cibum: quasi olera virentia tradidi vobis omnia.(vulgate) Gen 9:3 Alles, was sich regt und lebt, das sei eure Speise; wie das grüne Kraut habe ich's euch alles gegeben.(dhs) Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:4 ============ Gen 9:4 Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.(nasb) Gen 9:4 πλὴν κρέας ἐν αἵματι ψυχῆς οὐ φάγεσθε (lxx) Gen 9:4 Excepto, quod carnem cum sanguine non comedetis.(vulgate) Gen 9:4 Allein eßt das Fleisch nicht, das noch lebt in seinem Blut.(dhs) Gen 9:4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:5 ============ Gen 9:5 Surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man's brother I will require the life of man.(nasb) Gen 9:5 καὶ γὰρ τὸ ὑμέτερον αἷμα τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν ἐκζητήσω ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τῶν θηρίων ἐκζητήσω αὐτὸ καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς ἀνθρώπου ἀδελφοῦ ἐκζητήσω τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου (lxx) Gen 9:5 Sanguinem enim animarum vestrarum requiram de manu cunctarum bestiarum: et de manu hominis, de manu viri, et fratris ejus requiram animam hominis.(vulgate) Gen 9:5 Auch will ich eures Leibes Blut rächen und will's an allen Tieren rächen und will des Menschen Leben rächen an einem jeglichen Menschen als dem, der sein Bruder ist.(dhs) Gen 9:5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man's brother I will require the life of man.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:6 ============ Gen 9:6 "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man.(nasb) Gen 9:6 ὁ ἐκχέων αἷμα ἀνθρώπου ἀντὶ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτοῦ ἐκχυθήσεται ὅτι ἐν εἰκόνι θεοῦ ἐποίησα τὸν ἄνθρωπον (lxx) Gen 9:6 Quicumque effuderit humanum sanguinem, fundetur sanguis illius: ad imaginem quippe Dei factus est homo.(vulgate) Gen 9:6 Wer Menschenblut vergießt, des Blut soll auch durch Menschen vergossen werden; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it."(nasb) Gen 9:7 ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς (lxx) Gen 9:7 Vos autem crescite et multiplicamini, et ingredimini super terram, et implete eam.~(vulgate) Gen 9:7 Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und regt euch auf Erden, daß euer viel darauf werden.(dhs) Gen 9:7 And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:8 ============ Gen 9:8 Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,(nasb) Gen 9:8 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ λέγων (lxx) Gen 9:8 Hæc quoque dixit Deus ad Noë, et ad filios ejus cum eo:(vulgate) Gen 9:8 Und Gott sagte zu Noah und seinen Söhnen mit ihm:(dhs) Gen 9:8 Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying:(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:9 ============ Gen 9:9 "Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you;(nasb) Gen 9:9 ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ ἀνίστημι τὴν διαθήκην μου ὑμῖν καὶ τῷ σπέρματι ὑμῶν μεθ᾽ ὑμᾶς (lxx) Gen 9:9 Ecce ego statuam pactum meum vobiscum, et cum semine vestro post vos:(vulgate) Gen 9:9 Siehe, ich richte mit euch einen Bund auf und mit eurem Samen nach euch(dhs) Gen 9:9 "And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you,(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:10 ============ Gen 9:10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.(nasb) Gen 9:10 καὶ πάσῃ ψυχῇ τῇ ζώσῃ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἀπὸ ὀρνέων καὶ ἀπὸ κτηνῶν καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς ὅσα μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐξελθόντων ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ (lxx) Gen 9:10 et ad omnem animam viventem, quæ est vobiscum, tam in volucribus quam in jumentis et pecudibus terræ cunctis, quæ egressa sunt de arca, et universis bestiis terræ.(vulgate) Gen 9:10 und mit allem lebendigen Getier bei euch, an Vögeln, an Vieh und an allen Tieren auf Erden bei euch, von allem, was aus dem Kasten gegangen ist, was für Tiere es sind auf Erden.(dhs) Gen 9:10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:11 ============ Gen 9:11 I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth."(nasb) Gen 9:11 καὶ στήσω τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς ὑμᾶς καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται πᾶσα σὰρξ ἔτι ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι κατακλυσμὸς ὕδατος τοῦ καταφθεῖραι πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν (lxx) Gen 9:11 Statuam pactum meum vobiscum, et nequaquam ultra interficietur omnis caro aquis diluvii, neque erit deinceps diluvium dissipans terram.(vulgate) Gen 9:11 Und richte meinen Bund also mit euch auf, daß hinfort nicht mehr alles Fleisch verderbt werden soll mit dem Wasser der Sintflut, und soll hinfort keine Sintflut mehr kommen, die die Erde verderbe.(dhs) Gen 9:11 Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:12 ============ Gen 9:12 God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;(nasb) Gen 9:12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Νωε τοῦτο τὸ σημεῖον τῆς διαθήκης ὃ ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης ἥ ἐστιν μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰς γενεὰς αἰωνίους (lxx) Gen 9:12 Dixitque Deus: Hoc signum fœderis quod do inter me et vos, et ad omnem animam viventem, quæ est vobiscum in generationes sempiternas:(vulgate) Gen 9:12 Und Gott sprach: Das ist das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich gemacht habe zwischen mir und euch und allen lebendigen Seelen bei euch hinfort ewiglich:(dhs) Gen 9:12 And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:13 ============ Gen 9:13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.(nasb) Gen 9:13 τὸ τόξον μου τίθημι ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ καὶ ἔσται εἰς σημεῖον διαθήκης ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 9:13 arcum meum ponam in nubibus, et erit signum fœderis inter me et inter terram.(vulgate) Gen 9:13 Meinen Bogen habe ich gesetzt in die Wolken; der soll das Zeichen sein des Bundes zwischen mir und der Erde.(dhs) Gen 9:13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:14 ============ Gen 9:14 It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud,(nasb) Gen 9:14 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῷ συννεφεῖν με νεφέλας ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὀφθήσεται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ (lxx) Gen 9:14 Cumque obduxero nubibus cælum, apparebit arcus meus in nubibus:(vulgate) Gen 9:14 Und wenn es kommt, daß ich Wolken über die Erde führe, so soll man meinen Bogen sehen in den Wolken.(dhs) Gen 9:14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:15 ============ Gen 9:15 and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.(nasb) Gen 9:15 καὶ μνησθήσομαι τῆς διαθήκης μου ἥ ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης ἐν πάσῃ σαρκί καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι τὸ ὕδωρ εἰς κατακλυσμὸν ὥστε ἐξαλεῖψαι πᾶσαν σάρκα (lxx) Gen 9:15 et recordabor fœderis mei vobiscum, et cum omni anima vivente quæ carnem vegetat: et non erunt ultra aquæ diluvii ad delendum universam carnem.(vulgate) Gen 9:15 Alsdann will ich gedenken an meinen Bund zwischen mir und euch und allen lebendigen Seelen in allerlei Fleisch, daß nicht mehr hinfort eine Sintflut komme, die alles Fleisch verderbe.(dhs) Gen 9:15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:16 ============ Gen 9:16 When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."(nasb) Gen 9:16 καὶ ἔσται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ καὶ ὄψομαι τοῦ μνησθῆναι διαθήκην αἰώνιον ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης ἐν πάσῃ σαρκί ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 9:16 Eritque arcus in nubibus, et videbo illum, et recordabor fœderis sempiterni quod pactum est inter Deum et omnem animam viventem universæ carnis quæ est super terram.(vulgate) Gen 9:16 Darum soll mein Bogen in den Wolken sein, daß ich ihn ansehe und gedenke an den ewigen Bund zwischen Gott und allen lebendigen Seelen in allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist.(dhs) Gen 9:16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:17 ============ Gen 9:17 And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."(nasb) Gen 9:17 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε τοῦτο τὸ σημεῖον τῆς διαθήκης ἧς διεθέμην ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης σαρκός ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 9:17 Dixitque Deus ad Noë: Hoc erit signum fœderis, quod constitui inter me et omnem carnem super terram.~(vulgate) Gen 9:17 Und Gott sagte zu Noah: Das sei das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich aufgerichtet habe zwischen mir und allem Fleisch auf Erden.(dhs) Gen 9:17 And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:18 ============ Gen 9:18 Now the sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth; and Ham was the father of Canaan.(nasb) Gen 9:18 ἦσαν δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ Σημ Χαμ Ιαφεθ Χαμ ἦν πατὴρ Χανααν (lxx) Gen 9:18 Erant ergo filii Noë, qui egressi sunt de arca, Sem, Cham et Japheth: porro Cham ipse est pater Chanaan.(vulgate) Gen 9:18 Die Söhne Noahs, die aus dem Kasten gingen, sind diese: Sem, Ham und Japheth. Ham aber ist der Vater Kanaans.(dhs) Gen 9:18 Now the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:19 ============ Gen 9:19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.(nasb) Gen 9:19 τρεῖς οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν (lxx) Gen 9:19 Tres isti filii sunt Noë: et ab his disseminatum est omne genus hominum super universam terram.(vulgate) Gen 9:19 Das sind die drei Söhne Noahs, von denen ist alles Land besetzt.(dhs) Gen 9:19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:20 ============ Gen 9:20 Then Noah began farming and planted a vineyard.(nasb) Gen 9:20 καὶ ἤρξατο Νωε ἄνθρωπος γεωργὸς γῆς καὶ ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελῶνα (lxx) Gen 9:20 Cœpitque Noë vir agricola exercere terram, et plantavit vineam.(vulgate) Gen 9:20 Noah aber fing an und ward ein Ackermann und pflanzte Weinberge.(dhs) Gen 9:20 And Noah began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:21 ============ Gen 9:21 He drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tent.(nasb) Gen 9:21 καὶ ἔπιεν ἐκ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ ἐμεθύσθη καὶ ἐγυμνώθη ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Gen 9:21 Bibensque vinum inebriatus est, et nudatus in tabernaculo suo.(vulgate) Gen 9:21 Und da er von dem Wein trank, ward er trunken und lag in der Hütte aufgedeckt.(dhs) Gen 9:21 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:22 ============ Gen 9:22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.(nasb) Gen 9:22 καὶ εἶδεν Χαμ ὁ πατὴρ Χανααν τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἀνήγγειλεν τοῖς δυσὶν ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ ἔξω (lxx) Gen 9:22 Quod cum vidisset Cham, pater Chanaan, verenda scilicet patris sui esse nudata, nuntiavit duobus fratribus suis foras.(vulgate) Gen 9:22 Da nun Ham, Kanaans Vater, sah seines Vaters Blöße, sagte er's seinen beiden Brüdern draußen.(dhs) Gen 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 9:23 ============ Gen 9:23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both their shoulders and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were turned away, so that they did not see their father's nakedness.(nasb) Gen 9:23 καὶ λαβόντες Σημ καὶ Ιαφεθ τὸ ἱμάτιον ἐπέθεντο ἐπὶ τὰ δύο νῶτα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπισθοφανῶς καὶ συνεκάλυψαν τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν ὀπισθοφανές καὶ τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν οὐκ εἶδον (lxx) Gen 9:23 At vero Sem et Japheth pallium imposuerunt humeris suis, et incedentes retrorsum, operuerunt verenda patris sui: faciesque eorum aversæ erant, et patris virilia non viderunt.(vulgate) Gen 9:23 Da nahmen Sem und Japheth ein Kleid und legten es auf ihrer beider Schultern und gingen rücklings hinzu und deckten des Vaters Blöße zu; und ihr Angesicht war abgewandt, daß sie ihres Vater Blöße nicht sahen.(dhs) Gen 9:23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father.
