And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:2 ============ Gen 8:2 Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained;(nasb) Gen 8:2 καὶ ἐπεκαλύφθησαν αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ οἱ καταρράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ συνεσχέθη ὁ ὑετὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ (lxx) Gen 8:2 Et clausi sunt fontes abyssi, et cataractæ cæli: et prohibitæ sunt pluviæ de cælo.(vulgate) Gen 8:2 und die Brunnen der Tiefe wurden verstopft samt den Fenstern des Himmels, und dem Regen vom Himmel ward gewehrt;(dhs) Gen 8:2 The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:3 ============ Gen 8:3 and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of one hundred and fifty days the water decreased.(nasb) Gen 8:3 καὶ ἐνεδίδου τὸ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐνεδίδου καὶ ἠλαττονοῦτο τὸ ὕδωρ μετὰ πεντήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας (lxx) Gen 8:3 Reversæque sunt aquæ de terra euntes et redeuntes: et cœperunt minui post centum quinquaginta dies.(vulgate) Gen 8:3 und das Gewässer verlief sich von der Erde immer mehr und nahm ab nach hundertfünfzig Tagen.(dhs) Gen 8:3 And the waters receded continually from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:4 ============ Gen 8:4 In the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.(nasb) Gen 8:4 καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐν μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Αραρατ (lxx) Gen 8:4 Requievitque arca mense septimo, vigesimo septimo die mensis, super montes Armeniæ.(vulgate) Gen 8:4 Am siebzehnten Tage des siebenten Monats ließ sich der Kasten nieder auf das Gebirge Ararat.(dhs) Gen 8:4 Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:5 ============ Gen 8:5 The water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.(nasb) Gen 8:5 τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἠλαττονοῦτο ἕως τοῦ δεκάτου μηνός ἐν δὲ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ μηνί τῇ πρώτῃ τοῦ μηνός ὤφθησαν αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ὀρέων (lxx) Gen 8:5 At vero aquæ ibant et decrescebant usque ad decimum mensem: decimo enim mense, primo die mensis, apparuerunt cacumina montium.(vulgate) Gen 8:5 Es nahm aber das Gewässer immer mehr ab bis auf den zehnten Monat. Am ersten Tage des zehnten Monats sahen der Berge Spitzen hervor.(dhs) Gen 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. Then he put out his hand and took her, and brought her into the ark to himself.(nasb) Gen 8:9 καὶ οὐχ εὑροῦσα ἡ περιστερὰ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῆς ὑπέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν ὅτι ὕδωρ ἦν ἐπὶ παντὶ προσώπῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν (lxx) Gen 8:9 Quæ cum non invenisset ubi requiesceret pes ejus, reversa est ad eum in arcam: aquæ enim erant super universam terram: extenditque manum, et apprehensam intulit in arcam.(vulgate) Gen 8:9 Da aber die Taube nicht fand, da ihr Fuß ruhen konnte, kam sie wieder zu ihm in den Kasten; denn das Gewässer war noch auf dem ganzen Erdboden. Da tat er die Hand heraus und nahm sie zu sich in den Kasten.(dhs) Gen 8:9 But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.(nasb) Gen 8:11 καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ περιστερὰ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν καὶ εἶχεν φύλλον ἐλαίας κάρφος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῆς καὶ ἔγνω Νωε ὅτι κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 8:11 At illa venit ad eum ad vesperam, portans ramum olivæ virentibus foliis in ore suo: intellexit ergo Noë quod cessassent aquæ super terram.(vulgate) Gen 8:11 Die kam zu ihm zur Abendzeit, und siehe, ein Ölblatt hatte sie abgebrochen und trug's in ihrem Munde. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried up.(nasb) Gen 8:13 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε τοῦ πρώτου μηνός μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν Νωε τὴν στέγην τῆς κιβωτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 8:13 Igitur sexcentesimo primo anno, primo mense, prima die mensis, imminutæ sunt aquæ super terram: et aperiens Noë tectum arcæ, aspexit, viditque quod exsiccata esset superficies terræ.(vulgate) Gen 8:13 Im sechshundertundersten Jahr des Alters Noahs, am ersten Tage des ersten Monats vertrocknete das Gewässer auf Erden. Da tat Noah das Dach von dem Kasten und sah, daß der Erdboden trocken war.(dhs) Gen 8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; das ging aus dem Kasten, ein jegliches mit seinesgleichen.(dhs) Gen 8:19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:20 ============ Gen 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.(nasb) Gen 8:20 καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Νωε θυσιαστήριον τῷ θεῷ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκαρπώσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον (lxx) Gen 8:20 Ædificavit autem Noë altare Domino: et tollens de cunctis pecoribus et volucribus mundis, obtulit holocausta super altare.(vulgate) Gen 8:20 Noah aber baute dem HERRN einen Altar und nahm von allerlei reinem Vieh und von allerlei reinem Geflügel und opferte Brandopfer auf dem Altar.(dhs) Gen 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:21 ============ Gen 8:21 The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.(nasb) Gen 8:21 καὶ ὠσφράνθη κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς διανοηθείς οὐ προσθήσω ἔτι τοῦ καταράσασθαι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων ὅτι ἔγκειται ἡ διάνοια τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπιμελῶς ἐπὶ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐκ νεότητος οὐ προσθήσω οὖν ἔτι πατάξαι πᾶσαν σάρκα ζῶσαν καθὼς ἐποίησα (lxx) Gen 8:21 Odoratusque est Dominus odorem suavitatis, et ait: Nequaquam ultra maledicam terræ propter homines: sensus enim et cogitatio humani cordis in malum prona sunt ab adolescentia sua: non igitur ultra percutiam omnem animam viventem sicut feci.(vulgate) Gen 8:21 Und der HERR roch den lieblichen Geruch und sprach in seinem Herzen: Ich will hinfort nicht mehr die Erde verfluchen um der Menschen willen; denn das Dichten des menschlichen Herzens ist böse von Jugend auf.
