Today's Date: ======= Judges 4:1 ============ Jdg 4:1 Then the sons of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, after Ehud died.(nasb) Jdg 4:1 καὶ προσέθεντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Αωδ ἀπέθανεν (lxx) Jdg 4:1 Addideruntque filii Israël facere malum in conspectu Domini post mortem Aod,(vulgate) Jdg 4:1 Aber die Kinder Israel taten fürder übel vor dem HERRN, da Ehud gestorben war.(dhs) Jdg 4:1 When Ehud was dead, the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:2 ============ Jdg 4:2 And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; and the commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-hagoyim.(nasb) Jdg 4:2 καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Ιαβιν βασιλέως Χανααν ὃς ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ασωρ καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ Σισαρα καὶ αὐτὸς κατῴκει ἐν Αρισωθ τῶν ἐθνῶν (lxx) Jdg 4:2 et tradidit illos Dominus in manus Jabin regis Chanaan, qui regnavit in Asor: habuitque ducem exercitus sui nomine Sisaram, ipse autem habitabat in Haroseth gentium.(vulgate) Jdg 4:2 Und der HERR verkaufte sie in die Hand Jabins, des Königs der Kanaaniter, der zu Hazor saß; und sein Feldhauptmann war Sisera, und er wohnte zu Haroseth der Heiden.(dhs) Jdg 4:2 So the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who dwelt in Harosheth Hagoyim.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:3 ============ Jdg 4:3 The sons of Israel cried to the Lord; for he had nine hundred iron chariots, and he oppressed the sons of Israel severely for twenty years.(nasb) Jdg 4:3 καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς κύριον ὅτι ἐννακόσια ἅρματα σιδηρᾶ ἦν αὐτῷ καὶ αὐτὸς ἔθλιψεν τὸν Ισραηλ κατὰ κράτος εἴκοσι ἔτη (lxx) Jdg 4:3 Clamaveruntque filii Israël ad Dominum: nongentos enim habebat falcatos currus, et per viginti annos vehementer oppresserat eos.(vulgate) Jdg 4:3 Und die Kinder Israel schrieen zum HERRN; denn er hatte neunhundert eiserne Wagen und zwang die Kinder Israel mit Gewalt zwanzig Jahre.(dhs) Jdg 4:3 And the children of Israel cried out to the Lord; for Jabin had nine hundred chariots of iron, and for twenty years he harshly oppressed the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:4 ============ Jdg 4:4 Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.(nasb) Jdg 4:4 καὶ Δεββωρα γυνὴ προφῆτις γυνὴ Λαφιδωθ αὐτὴ ἔκρινεν τὸν Ισραηλ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ (lxx) Jdg 4:4 Erat autem Debbora prophetis uxor Lapidoth, quæ judicabat populum in illo tempore.(vulgate) Jdg 4:4 Zu der Zeit war Richterin in Israel die Prophetin Debora, das Weib Lapidoths.(dhs) Jdg 4:4 Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:5 ============ Jdg 4:5 She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel came up to her for judgment.(nasb) Jdg 4:5 καὶ αὐτὴ ἐκάθητο ὑπὸ φοίνικα Δεββωρα ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς Ραμα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς Βαιθηλ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ἀνέβαινον πρὸς αὐτὴν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰς κρίσιν (lxx) Jdg 4:5 Et sedebat sub palma, quæ nomine illius vocabatur, inter Rama et Bethel in monte Ephraim: ascendebantque ad eam filii Israël in omne judicium.(vulgate) Jdg 4:5 Und sie wohnte unter der Palme Deboras zwischen Rama und Beth-El auf dem Gebirge Ephraim. Und die Kinder Israel kamen zu ihr hinauf vor Gericht.(dhs) Jdg 4:5 And she would sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the mountains of Ephraim. And the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:6 ============ Jdg 4:6 Now she sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali, and said to him, "Behold, the Lord, the God of Israel, has commanded, 'Go and march to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men from the sons of Naphtali and from the sons of Zebulun.(nasb) Jdg 4:6 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Δεββωρα καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Βαρακ υἱὸν Αβινεεμ ἐκ Καδης Νεφθαλι καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν οὐχὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ σοὶ καὶ ἀπελεύσῃ εἰς ὄρος Θαβωρ καὶ λήμψῃ μετὰ σεαυτοῦ δέκα χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλι καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ζαβουλων (lxx) Jdg 4:6 Quæ misit et vocavit Barac filium Abinoëm de Cedes Nephthali: dixitque ad eum: Præcepit tibi Dominus Deus Israël: Vade, et duc exercitum in montem Thabor, tollesque tecum decem millia pugnatorum de filiis Nephthali, et de filiis Zabulon:(vulgate) Jdg 4:6 Diese sandte hin und ließ rufen Barak, den Sohn Abinoams von Kedes-Naphthali, und ließ ihm sagen: Hat dir nicht der HERR, der Gott Israels, geboten: Gehe hin und zieh auf den Berg Thabor und nimm zehntausend Mann mit dir von den Kindern Naphthali und Sebulon?(dhs) Jdg 4:6 Then she sent and called for Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali, and said to him, "Has not the Lord God of Israel commanded, 'Go and deploy troops at Mount Tabor; take with you ten thousand men of the sons of Naphtali and of the sons of Zebulun;(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:7 ============ Jdg 4:7 I will draw out to you Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his many troops to the river Kishon, and I will give him into your hand.'"(nasb) Jdg 4:7 καὶ ἐπάξω πρὸς σὲ εἰς τὸν χειμάρρουν Κισων τὸν Σισαρα ἄρχοντα τῆς δυνάμεως Ιαβιν καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ πλῆθος αὐτοῦ καὶ παραδώσω αὐτὸν εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου (lxx) Jdg 4:7 ego autem adducam ad te in loco torrentis Cison, Sisaram principem exercitus Jabin, et currus ejus, atque omnem multitudinem, et tradam eos in manu tua.(vulgate) Jdg 4:7 Denn ich will Sisera, den Feldhauptmann Jabins, zu dir ziehen an das Wasser Kison mit seinen Wagen und mit seiner Menge und will ihn in deine Hände geben.(dhs) Jdg 4:7 and against you I will deploy Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude at the River Kishon; and I will deliver him into your hand'?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:8 ============ Jdg 4:8 Then Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go."(nasb) Jdg 4:8 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Βαρακ ἐὰν πορευθῇς μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ πορεύσομαι καὶ ἐὰν μὴ πορευθῇς οὐ πορεύσομαι ὅτι οὐκ οἶδα τὴν ἡμέραν ἐν ᾗ εὐοδοῖ τὸν ἄγγελον κύριος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ (lxx) Jdg 4:8 Dixitque ad eam Barac: Si venis mecum, vadam: si nolueris venire mecum, non pergam.(vulgate) Jdg 4:8 Barak sprach zu ihr: Wenn du mit mir ziehst, so will ich ziehen; ziehst du aber nicht mit mir, so will ich nicht ziehen.(dhs) Jdg 4:8 And Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go!"(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:9 ============ Jdg 4:9 She said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless, the honor shall not be yours on the journey that you are about to take, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hands of a woman." Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh.(nasb) Jdg 4:9 καὶ εἶπεν πορευομένη πορεύσομαι μετὰ σοῦ πλὴν γίνωσκε ὅτι οὐκ ἔσται τὸ προτέρημά σου ἐπὶ τὴν ὁδόν ἣν σὺ πορεύῃ ὅτι ἐν χειρὶ γυναικὸς ἀποδώσεται κύριος τὸν Σισαρα καὶ ἀνέστη Δεββωρα καὶ ἐπορεύθη μετὰ Βαρακ ἐκ Καδης (lxx) Jdg 4:9 Quæ dixit ad eum: Ibo quidem tecum, sed in hac vice victoria non reputabitur tibi, quia in manu mulieris tradetur Sisara. Surrexit itaque Debbora, et perrexit cum Barac in Cedes.(vulgate) Jdg 4:9 Sie sprach: Ich will mit dir ziehen, aber der Preis wird nicht dein sein auf dieser Reise, die du tust, sondern der HERR wird Sisera in eines Weibes Hand übergeben. Also machte sich Debora auf und zog mit Barak gen Kedes.(dhs) Jdg 4:9 So she said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:10 ============ Jdg 4:10 Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh, and ten thousand men went up with him; Deborah also went up with him.(nasb) Jdg 4:10 καὶ ἐβόησεν Βαρακ τὸν Ζαβουλων καὶ τὸν Νεφθαλι ἐκ Καδης καὶ ἀνέβησαν κατὰ πόδας αὐτοῦ δέκα χιλιάδες ἀνδρῶν καὶ ἀνέβη μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ Δεββωρα (lxx) Jdg 4:10 Qui, accitis Zabulon et Nephthali, ascendit cum decem millibus pugnatorum, habens Debboram in comitatu suo.(vulgate) Jdg 4:10 Da rief Barak Sebulon und Naphthali gen Kedes, und es zogen hinauf ihm nach zehntausend Mann. Debora zog auch mit ihm.(dhs) Jdg 4:10 And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; he went up with ten thousand men under his command, and Deborah went up with him.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:11 ============ Jdg 4:11 Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, from the sons of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far away as the oak in Zaanannim, which is near Kedesh.(nasb) Jdg 4:11 καὶ Χαβερ ὁ Κιναῖος ἐχωρίσθη ἀπὸ Καινα ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ιωβαβ γαμβροῦ Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔπηξεν τὴν σκηνὴν αὐτοῦ ἕως δρυὸς πλεονεκτούντων ἥ ἐστιν ἐχόμενα Κεδες (lxx) Jdg 4:11 Haber autem Cinæus recesserat quondam a ceteris Cinæis fratribus suis, filiis Hobab cognati Moysi: et tetenderat tabernacula usque ad vallem, quæ vocatur Sennim, et erat juxta Cedes.(vulgate) Jdg 4:11 (Heber aber, der Keniter, war von den Kenitern, von den Kindern Hobabs, Mose's Schwagers, weggezogen und hatte seine Hütte aufgeschlagen bei den Eichen zu Zaanannim neben Kedes.)(dhs) Jdg 4:11 Now Heber the Kenite, of the children of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, had separated himself from the Kenites and pitched his tent near the terebinth tree at Zaanaim, which is beside Kedesh.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:12 ============ Jdg 4:12 Then they told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.(nasb) Jdg 4:12 καὶ ἀνηγγέλη Σισαρα ὅτι ἀνέβη Βαρακ υἱὸς Αβινεεμ εἰς ὄρος Θαβωρ (lxx) Jdg 4:12 Nuntiatumque est Sisaræ quod ascendisset Barac filius Abinoëm in montem Thabor:(vulgate) Jdg 4:12 Da ward Sisera angesagt, daß Barak, der Sohn Abinoams, auf den Berg Thabor gezogen wäre.(dhs) Jdg 4:12 And they reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:13 ============ Jdg 4:13 Sisera called together all his chariots, nine hundred iron chariots, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth-hagoyim to the river Kishon.(nasb) Jdg 4:13 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Σισαρα πάντα τὰ ἅρματα αὐτοῦ ἐννακόσια ἅρματα σιδηρᾶ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν τὸν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ Αρισωθ τῶν ἐθνῶν εἰς τὸν χειμάρρουν Κισων (lxx) Jdg 4:13 et congregavit nongentos falcatos currus, et omnem exercitum de Haroseth gentium ad torrentem Cison.(vulgate) Jdg 4:13 Und er rief alle seine Wagen zusammen, neunhundert eiserne Wagen, und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, von Haroseth der Heiden an das Wasser Kison.(dhs) Jdg 4:13 So Sisera gathered together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Hagoyim to the River Kishon.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:14 ============ Jdg 4:14 Deborah said to Barak, "Arise! For this is the day in which the Lord has given Sisera into your hands; behold, the Lord has gone out before you." So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him.(nasb) Jdg 4:14 καὶ εἶπεν Δεββωρα πρὸς Βαρακ ἀνάστηθι ὅτι αὕτη ἡ ἡμέρα ἐν ᾗ παρέδωκεν κύριος τὸν Σισαρα ἐν τῇ χειρί σου ὅτι κύριος ἐξελεύσεται ἔμπροσθέν σου καὶ κατέβη Βαρακ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους Θαβωρ καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες ἀνδρῶν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jdg 4:14 Dixitque Debbora ad Barac: Surge, hæc est enim dies, in qua tradidit Dominus Sisaram in manus tuas: en ipse ductor est tuus. Descendit itaque Barac de monte Thabor, et decem millia pugnatorum cum eo.(vulgate) Jdg 4:14 Debora aber sprach zu Barak: Auf! das ist der Tag, da dir der HERR den Sisera hat in deine Hand gegeben; denn der HERR wird vor dir her ausziehen. Also zog Barak von dem Berge Thabor herab und die zehntausend Mann ihm nach.(dhs) Jdg 4:14 Then Deborah said to Barak, "Up! For this is the day in which the Lord has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the Lord gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:15 ============ Jdg 4:15 The Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot.(nasb) Jdg 4:15 καὶ ἐξέστησεν κύριος τὸν Σισαρα καὶ πάντα τὰ ἅρματα αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν παρεμβολὴν αὐτοῦ ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας ἐνώπιον Βαρακ καὶ κατέβη Σισαρα ἐπάνωθεν τοῦ ἅρματος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔφυγεν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jdg 4:15 Perterruitque Dominus Sisaram, et omnes currus ejus, universamque multitudinem in ore gladii ad conspectum Barac: in tantum, ut Sisara de curru desiliens, pedibus fugeret,(vulgate) Jdg 4:15 Aber der HERR erschreckte den Sisera samt allen seinen Wagen und ganzem Heer vor der Schärfe des Schwertes Baraks, daß Sisera von seinem Wagen sprang und floh zu Fuß.(dhs) Jdg 4:15 And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:16 ============ Jdg 4:16 But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth-hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not even one was left.(nasb) Jdg 4:16 καὶ Βαρακ διώκων ὀπίσω τῶν ἁρμάτων καὶ ὀπίσω τῆς παρεμβολῆς ἕως Αρισωθ τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἔπεσεν πᾶσα παρεμβολὴ Σισαρα ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας οὐ κατελείφθη ἕως ἑνός (lxx) Jdg 4:16 et Barac persequeretur fugientes currus, et exercitum usque ad Haroseth gentium, et omnis hostium multitudo usque ad internecionem caderet.~(vulgate) Jdg 4:16 Barak aber jagte nach den Wagen und dem Heer bis gen Haroseth der Heiden. Und alles Heer Siseras fiel vor der Schärfe des Schwerts, daß nicht einer übrigblieb.(dhs) Jdg 4:16 But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was left.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:17 ============ Jdg 4:17 Now Sisera fled away on foot to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite, for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.(nasb) Jdg 4:17 καὶ Σισαρα ἔφυγεν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτοῦ εἰς σκηνὴν Ιαηλ γυναικὸς Χαβερ ἑταίρου τοῦ Κιναίου ὅτι εἰρήνη ἦν ἀνὰ μέσον Ιαβιν βασιλέως Ασωρ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον οἴκου Χαβερ τοῦ Κιναίου (lxx) Jdg 4:17 Sisara autem fugiens pervenit ad tentorium Jahel uxoris Haber Cinæi. Erat enim pax inter Jabin regem Asor, et domum Haber Cinæi.(vulgate) Jdg 4:17 Sisera aber floh zu Fuß in die Hütte Jaels, des Weibes Hebers, des Keniters. Denn der König Jabin zu Hazor und das Haus Hebers, des Keniters, standen miteinander im Frieden.(dhs) Jdg 4:17 However, Sisera had fled away on foot to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:18 ============ Jdg 4:18 Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn aside, my master, turn aside to me! Do not be afraid." And he turned aside to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.(nasb) Jdg 4:18 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ιαηλ εἰς συνάντησιν Σισαρα καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ἔκκλινον κύριέ μου ἔκκλινον πρός με μὴ φοβοῦ καὶ ἐξέκλινεν πρὸς αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν σκηνήν καὶ περιέβαλεν αὐτὸν ἐπιβολαίῳ (lxx) Jdg 4:18 Egressa igitur Jahel in occursum Sisaræ, dixit ad eum: Intra ad me, domine mi: intra, ne timeas. Qui ingressus tabernaculum ejus, et opertus ab ea pallio,(vulgate) Jdg 4:18 Jael aber ging heraus, Sisera entgegen, und sprach zu ihm: Weiche, mein Herr, weiche zu mir und fürchte dich nicht! Und er wich zu ihr in die Hütte, und sie deckte ihn zu mit einer Decke.(dhs) Jdg 4:18 And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn aside, my lord, turn aside to me; do not fear." And when he had turned aside with her into the tent, she covered him with a blanket.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:19 ============ Jdg 4:19 He said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty." So she opened a bottle of milk and gave him a drink; then she covered him.(nasb) Jdg 4:19 καὶ εἶπεν Σισαρα πρὸς αὐτήν πότισόν με δὴ μικρὸν ὕδωρ ὅτι ἐδίψησα καὶ ἤνοιξεν τὸν ἀσκὸν τοῦ γάλακτος καὶ ἐπότισεν αὐτὸν καὶ περιέβαλεν αὐτόν (lxx) Jdg 4:19 dixit ad eam: Da mihi, obsecro, paululum aquæ, quia sitio valde. Quæ aperuit utrem lactis, et dedit ei bibere, et operuit illum.(vulgate) Jdg 4:19 Er aber sprach zu ihr: Gib mir doch ein wenig Wasser zu trinken, denn mich dürstet. Da tat sie auf einen Milchtopf und gab ihm zu trinken und deckte ihn zu.(dhs) Jdg 4:19 Then he said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty." So she opened a jug of milk, gave him a drink, and covered him.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:20 ============ Jdg 4:20 He said to her, "Stand in the doorway of the tent, and it shall be if anyone comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there anyone here?' that you shall say, 'No.'"(nasb) Jdg 4:20 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Σισαρα στῆθι δὴ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἀνὴρ ἔλθῃ πρὸς σὲ καὶ ἐρωτήσῃ σε καὶ εἴπῃ εἰ ἔστιν ὧδε ἀνήρ καὶ ἐρεῖς οὐκ ἔστιν (lxx) Jdg 4:20 Dixitque Sisara ad eam: Sta ante ostium tabernaculi: et cum venerit aliquis interrogans te, et dicens: Numquid hic est aliquis? respondebis: Nullus est.(vulgate) Jdg 4:20 Und er sprach zu ihr: Tritt in der Hütte Tür, und wenn jemand kommt und fragt, ob jemand hier sei, so sprich: Niemand.(dhs) Jdg 4:20 And he said to her, "Stand at the door of the tent, and if any man comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there any man here?' you shall say, 'No.' "(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:21 ============ Jdg 4:21 But Jael, Heber's wife, took a tent peg and seized a hammer in her hand, and went secretly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went through into the ground; for he was sound asleep and exhausted. So he died.(nasb) Jdg 4:21 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιαηλ γυνὴ Χαβερ τὸν πάσσαλον τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν σφῦραν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτῆς καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν κρυφῇ καὶ ἔπηξεν τὸν πάσσαλον ἐν τῷ κροτάφῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ διεξῆλθεν ἐν τῇ γῇ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐξεστὼς ἐσκοτώθη καὶ ἀπέθανεν (lxx) Jdg 4:21 Tulit itaque Jahel uxor Haber clavum tabernaculi, assumens pariter et malleum: et ingressa abscondite et cum silentio, posuit supra tempus capitis ejus clavum, percussumque malleo defixit in cerebrum usque ad terram: qui soporem morti consocians defecit, et mortuus est.(vulgate) Jdg 4:21 Da nahm Jael, das Weib Hebers, einen Nagel von der Hütte und einen Hammer in ihre Hand und ging leise zu ihm hinein und schlug ihm den Nagel durch seine Schläfe, daß er in die Erde drang. Er aber war entschlummert, ward ohnmächtig und starb.(dhs) Jdg 4:21 Then Jael, Heber's wife, took a tent peg and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went down into the ground; for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:22 ============ Jdg 4:22 And behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said to him, "Come, and I will show you the man whom you are seeking." And he entered with her, and behold Sisera was lying dead with the tent peg in his temple.(nasb) Jdg 4:22 καὶ ἰδοὺ Βαρακ διώκων τὸν Σισαρα καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ιαηλ εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ δεῦρο καὶ δείξω σοι τὸν ἄνδρα ὃν σὺ ζητεῖς καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτήν καὶ ἰδοὺ Σισαρα ῥεριμμένος νεκρός καὶ ὁ πάσσαλος ἐν τῷ κροτάφῳ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jdg 4:22 Et ecce Barac sequens Sisaram veniebat: egressaque Jahel in occursum ejus, dixit ei: Veni, et ostendam tibi virum quem quæris. Qui cum intrasset ad eam, vidit Sisaram jacentem mortuum, et clavum infixum in tempore ejus.(vulgate) Jdg 4:22 Da aber Barak Sisera nachjagte, ging Jael heraus, ihm entgegen, und sprach zu ihm: Gehe her! ich will dir den Mann zeigen, den du suchst. And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:23 ============ Jdg 4:23 So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the sons of Israel.(nasb) Jdg 4:23 καὶ ἐτρόπωσεν ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τὸν Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν ἔμπροσθεν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ (lxx) Jdg 4:23 Humiliavit ergo Deus in die illo Jabin regem Chanaan coram filiis Israël:(vulgate) Jdg 4:23 Also dämpfte Gott zu der Zeit Jabin, der Kanaaniter König, vor den Kindern Israel.(dhs) Jdg 4:23 So on that day God subdued Jabin king of Canaan in the presence of the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Judges 4:24 ============ Jdg 4:24 The hand of the sons of Israel pressed heavier and heavier upon Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin the king of Canaan.(nasb) Jdg 4:24 καὶ ἐπορεύετο χεὶρ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ πορευομένη καὶ σκληρυνομένη ἐπὶ Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν ἕως οὗ ἐξωλέθρευσαν τὸν Ιαβιν βασιλέα Χανααν (lxx) Jdg 4:24 qui crescebant quotidie, et forti manu opprimebant Jabin regem Chanaan, donec delerent eum.(vulgate) Jdg 4:24 Und die Hand der Kinder Israel ward immer stärker wider Jabin, der Kanaaniter König, bis sie ihn ausrotteten.(dhs) Jdg 4:24 And the hand of the children of Israel grew stronger and stronger against Jabin king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.(nkjv) ======= Judges 5:1 ============ top of the page
