Keep your feet from their path,(nasb) Pro 1:15 μὴ πορευθῇς ἐν ὁδῷ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἔκκλινον δὲ τὸν πόδα σου ἐκ τῶν τρίβων αὐτῶν (lxx) Pro 1:15 fili mi, ne ambules cum eis; prohibe pedem tuum a semitis eorum:(vulgate) Pro 1:15 mein Kind, wandle den Weg nicht mit ihnen; wehre deinem Fuß vor ihrem Pfad.(dhs) Pro 1:15 My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:16 ============ Pro 1:16 For their feet run to evil And they hasten to shed blood.(nasb) Pro 1:16 οἱ γὰρ πόδες αὐτῶν εἰς κακίαν τρέχουσιν καὶ ταχινοὶ τοῦ ἐκχέαι αἷμα (lxx) Pro 1:16 pedes enim illorum ad malum currunt, et festinant ut effundant sanguinem.(vulgate) Pro 1:16 Denn ihr Füße laufen zum Bösen und eilen, Blut zu vergießen.(dhs) Pro 1:16 For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:17 ============ Pro 1:17 Indeed, it is useless to spread the baited net In the sight of any bird;(nasb) Pro 1:17 οὐ γὰρ ἀδίκως ἐκτείνεται δίκτυα πτερωτοῖς (lxx) Pro 1:17 Frustra autem jacitur rete ante oculos pennatorum.(vulgate) Pro 1:17 Denn es ist vergeblich, das Netz auswerfen vor den Augen der Vögel.(dhs) Pro 1:17 Surely, in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:18 ============ Pro 1:18 But they lie in wait for their own blood; They ambush their own lives.(nasb) Pro 1:18 αὐτοὶ γὰρ οἱ φόνου μετέχοντες θησαυρίζουσιν ἑαυτοῖς κακά ἡ δὲ καταστροφὴ ἀνδρῶν παρανόμων κακή (lxx) Pro 1:18 Ipsi quoque contra sanguinem suum insidiantur, et moliuntur fraudes contra animas suas.(vulgate) Pro 1:18 Sie aber lauern auf ihr eigen Blut und stellen sich selbst nach dem Leben.(dhs) Pro 1:18 But they lie in wait for their own blood, They lurk secretly for their own lives.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:19 ============ Pro 1:19 So are the ways of everyone who gains by violence; It takes away the life of its possessors.(nasb) Pro 1:19 αὗται αἱ ὁδοί εἰσιν πάντων τῶν συντελούντων τὰ ἄνομα τῇ γὰρ ἀσεβείᾳ τὴν ἑαυτῶν ψυχὴν ἀφαιροῦνται (lxx) Pro 1:19 Sic semitæ omnis avari: animas possidentium rapiunt.]~(vulgate) Pro 1:19 Also geht es allen, die nach Gewinn geizen, daß ihr Geiz ihnen das Leben nimmt.(dhs) Pro 1:19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:20 ============ Pro 1:20 Wisdom shouts in the street, She lifts her voice in the square;(nasb) Pro 1:20 σοφία ἐν ἐξόδοις ὑμνεῖται ἐν δὲ πλατείαις παρρησίαν ἄγει (lxx) Pro 1:20 [Sapientia foris prædicat; in plateis dat vocem suam:(vulgate) Pro 1:20 Die Weisheit klagt draußen und läßt sich hören auf den Gassen;(dhs) Pro 1:20 Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:21 ============ Pro 1:21 At the head of the noisy streets she cries out; At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:(nasb) Pro 1:21 ἐπ᾽ ἄκρων δὲ τειχέων κηρύσσεται ἐπὶ δὲ πύλαις δυναστῶν παρεδρεύει ἐπὶ δὲ πύλαις πόλεως θαρροῦσα λέγει (lxx) Pro 1:21 in capite turbarum clamitat; in foribus portarum urbis profert verba sua, dicens:(vulgate) Pro 1:21 sie ruft in dem Eingang des Tores, vorn unter dem Volk; sie redet ihre Worte in der Stadt:(dhs) Pro 1:21 She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words:(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:22 ============ Pro 1:22 "How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?(nasb) Pro 1:22 ὅσον ἂν χρόνον ἄκακοι ἔχωνται τῆς δικαιοσύνης οὐκ αἰσχυνθήσονται οἱ δὲ ἄφρονες τῆς ὕβρεως ὄντες ἐπιθυμηταί ἀσεβεῖς γενόμενοι ἐμίσησαν αἴσθησιν (lxx) Pro 1:22 Usquequo, parvuli, diligitis infantiam, et stulti ea quæ sibi sunt noxia cupient, et imprudentes odibunt scientiam?(vulgate) Pro 1:22 Wie lange wollt ihr Unverständigen unverständig sein und die Spötter Lust zu Spötterei und die Ruchlosen die Lehre hassen?(dhs) Pro 1:22 "How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:23 ============ Pro 1:23 "Turn to my reproof, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.(nasb) Pro 1:23 καὶ ὑπεύθυνοι ἐγένοντο ἐλέγχοις ἰδοὺ προήσομαι ὑμῖν ἐμῆς πνοῆς ῥῆσιν διδάξω δὲ ὑμᾶς τὸν ἐμὸν λόγον (lxx) Pro 1:23 convertimini ad correptionem meam. En proferam vobis spiritum meum, et ostendam vobis verba mea.(vulgate) Pro 1:23 Kehret euch zu meiner Strafe. I will mock when your terror comes,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:27 ============ Pro 1:27 When your dread comes like a storm And your calamity comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.(nasb) Pro 1:27 καὶ ὡς ἂν ἀφίκηται ὑμῖν ἄφνω θόρυβος ἡ δὲ καταστροφὴ ὁμοίως καταιγίδι παρῇ καὶ ὅταν ἔρχηται ὑμῖν θλῖψις καὶ πολιορκία ἢ ὅταν ἔρχηται ὑμῖν ὄλεθρος (lxx) Pro 1:27 Cum irruerit repentina calamitas, et interitus quasi tempestas ingruerit; quando venerit super vos tribulatio et angustia:(vulgate) Pro 1:27 wenn über euch kommt wie ein Sturm, was ihr fürchtet, und euer Unglück als ein Wetter, wenn über euch Angst und Not kommt.(dhs) Pro 1:27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:28 ============ Pro 1:28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,(nasb) Pro 1:28 ἔσται γὰρ ὅταν ἐπικαλέσησθέ με ἐγὼ δὲ οὐκ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν ζητήσουσίν με κακοὶ καὶ οὐχ εὑρήσουσιν (lxx) Pro 1:28 tunc invocabunt me, et non exaudiam; mane consurgent, et non invenient me:(vulgate) Pro 1:28 Dann werden sie nach mir rufen, aber ich werde nicht antworten; sie werden mich suchen, und nicht finden.(dhs) Pro 1:28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:29 ============ Pro 1:29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord.(nasb) Pro 1:29 ἐμίσησαν γὰρ σοφίαν τὸν δὲ φόβον τοῦ κυρίου οὐ προείλαντο (lxx) Pro 1:29 eo quod exosam habuerint disciplinam, et timorem Domini non susceperint,(vulgate) Pro 1:29 Darum, daß sie haßten die Lehre und wollten des HERRN Furcht nicht haben,(dhs) Pro 1:29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:30 ============ Pro 1:30 "They would not accept my counsel, They spurned all my reproof.(nasb) Pro 1:30 οὐδὲ ἤθελον ἐμαῖς προσέχειν βουλαῖς ἐμυκτήριζον δὲ ἐμοὺς ἐλέγχους (lxx) Pro 1:30 nec acquieverint consilio meo, et detraxerint universæ correptioni meæ.(vulgate) Pro 1:30 wollten meinen Rat nicht und lästerten alle meine Strafe:(dhs) Pro 1:30 They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:31 ============ Pro 1:31 "So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way And be satiated with their own devices.(nasb) Pro 1:31 τοιγαροῦν ἔδονται τῆς ἑαυτῶν ὁδοῦ τοὺς καρποὺς καὶ τῆς ἑαυτῶν ἀσεβείας πλησθήσονται (lxx) Pro 1:31 Comedent igitur fructus viæ suæ, suisque consiliis saturabuntur.(vulgate) Pro 1:31 so sollen sie essen von den Früchten ihres Wesens und ihres Rats satt werden.(dhs) Pro 1:31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:32 ============ Pro 1:32 "For the waywardness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.(nasb) Pro 1:32 ἀνθ᾽ ὧν γὰρ ἠδίκουν νηπίους φονευθήσονται καὶ ἐξετασμὸς ἀσεβεῖς ὀλεῖ (lxx) Pro 1:32 Aversio parvulorum interficiet eos, et prosperitas stultorum perdet illos.(vulgate) Pro 1:32 Was die Unverständigen gelüstet, tötet sie, und der Ruchlosen Glück bringt sie um.(dhs) Pro 1:32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 1:33 ============ Pro 1:33 "But he who listens to me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil."(nasb) Pro 1:33 ὁ δὲ ἐμοῦ ἀκούων κατασκηνώσει ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι καὶ ἡσυχάσει ἀφόβως ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ (lxx) Pro 1:33 Qui autem me audierit, absque terrore requiescet, et abundantia perfruetur, timore malorum sublato.](vulgate) Pro 1:33 Wer aber mir gehorcht, wird sicher bleiben und genug haben und kein Unglück fürchten.(dhs) Pro 1:33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil."(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:1 ============ top of the page
