The youth will storm against the elder And the inferior against the honorable.(nasb) Isa 3:5 καὶ συμπεσεῖται ὁ λαός ἄνθρωπος πρὸς ἄνθρωπον καὶ ἄνθρωπος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ προσκόψει τὸ παιδίον πρὸς τὸν πρεσβύτην ὁ ἄτιμος πρὸς τὸν ἔντιμον (lxx) Isa 3:5 et irruet populus, vir ad virum, et unusquisque ad proximum suum; tumultuabitur puer contra senem, et ignobilis contra nobilem.(vulgate) Isa 3:5 Und das Volk wird Schinderei treiben, einer an dem andern und ein jeglicher an seinem Nächsten; und der Jüngere wird stolz sein gegen den Alten und der geringe Mann wider den geehrten.(dhs) Isa 3:5 The people will be oppressed, Every one by another and every one by his neighbor; The child will be insolent toward the elder, And the base toward the honorable."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:6 ============ Isa 3:6 When a man lays hold of his brother in his father's house, saying, "You have a cloak, you shall be our ruler, And these ruins will be under your charge,"(nasb) Isa 3:6 ὅτι ἐπιλήμψεται ἄνθρωπος τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἢ τοῦ οἰκείου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ λέγων ἱμάτιον ἔχεις ἀρχηγὸς ἡμῶν γενοῦ καὶ τὸ βρῶμα τὸ ἐμὸν ὑπὸ σὲ ἔστω (lxx) Isa 3:6 Apprehendet enim vir fratrem suum, domesticum patris sui: Vestimentum tibi est, princeps esto noster, ruina autem hæc sub manu tua.(vulgate) Isa 3:6 Dann wird einer seinen Bruder aus seines Vaters Haus ergreifen: Du hast Kleider; sei unser Fürst, hilf du diesem Einsturz!(dhs) Isa 3:6 When a man takes hold of his brother In the house of his father, saying, "You have clothing; You be our ruler, And let these ruins be under your power,"(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:7 ============ Isa 3:7 He will protest on that day, saying, "I will not be your healer, For in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; You should not appoint me ruler of the people."(nasb) Isa 3:7 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ἐρεῖ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ οὐκ ἔσομαί σου ἀρχηγός οὐ γὰρ ἔστιν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ μου ἄρτος οὐδὲ ἱμάτιον οὐκ ἔσομαι ἀρχηγὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου (lxx) Isa 3:7 Respondebit in die illa, dicens: Non sum medicus, et in domo mea non est panis neque vestimentum: nolite constituere me principem populi.(vulgate) Isa 3:7 Er aber wird zu der Zeit schwören und sagen: Ich bin kein Arzt; es ist weder Brot noch Kleid in meinem Hause; setzt mich nicht zum Fürsten im Volk!(dhs) Isa 3:7 In that day he will protest, saying, "I cannot cure your ills, For in my house is neither food nor clothing; Do not make me a ruler of the people."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:8 ============ Isa 3:8 For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen, Because their speech and their actions are against the Lord, To rebel against His glorious presence.(nasb) Isa 3:8 ὅτι ἀνεῖται Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἡ Ιουδαία συμπέπτωκεν καὶ αἱ γλῶσσαι αὐτῶν μετὰ ἀνομίας τὰ πρὸς κύριον ἀπειθοῦντες διότι νῦν ἐταπεινώθη ἡ δόξα αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 3:8 Ruit enim Jerusalem, et Judas concidit, quia lingua eorum et adinventiones eorum contra Dominum, ut provocarent oculos majestatis ejus.(vulgate) Isa 3:8 Denn Jerusalem fällt dahin, und Juda liegt da, weil ihre Zunge und ihr Tun gegen den HERRN ist, daß sie den Augen seiner Majestät widerstreben.(dhs) Isa 3:8 For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, Because their tongue and their doings Are against the Lord, To provoke the eyes of His glory.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:9 ============ Isa 3:9 The expression of their faces bears witness against them, And they display their sin like Sodom; They do not even conceal it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.(nasb) Isa 3:9 καὶ ἡ αἰσχύνη τοῦ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἀντέστη αὐτοῖς τὴν δὲ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτῶν ὡς Σοδομων ἀνήγγειλαν καὶ ἐνεφάνισαν οὐαὶ τῇ ψυχῇ αὐτῶν διότι βεβούλευνται βουλὴν πονηρὰν καθ᾽ ἑαυτῶν (lxx) Isa 3:9 Agnitio vultus eorum respondit eis; et peccatum suum quasi Sodoma prædicaverunt, nec absconderunt. Væ animæ eorum, quoniam reddita sunt eis mala!(vulgate) Isa 3:9 Ihres Wesens haben sie kein Hehl und rühmen ihre Sünde wie die zu Sodom und verbergen sie nicht. Weh ihrer Seele! denn damit bringen sie sich selbst in alles Unglück.(dhs) Isa 3:9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him.(nasb) Isa 3:11 οὐαὶ τῷ ἀνόμῳ πονηρὰ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ συμβήσεται αὐτῷ (lxx) Isa 3:11 Væ impio in malum! retributio enim manuum ejus fiet ei.(vulgate) Isa 3:11 Weh aber den Gottlosen! denn sie haben es übel, und es wird ihnen vergolten werden, wie sie es verdienen.(dhs) Isa 3:11 Woe to the wicked! O My people! Popule meus, qui te beatum dicunt, ipsi te decipiunt, et viam gressuum tuorum dissipant.(vulgate) Isa 3:12 Kinder sind Gebieter meines Volkes, und Weiber herrschen über sie. Mein Volk, deine Leiter verführen dich und zerstören den Weg, da du gehen sollst.(dhs) Isa 3:12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:13 ============ Isa 3:13 The Lord arises to contend, And stands to judge the people.(nasb) Isa 3:13 ἀλλὰ νῦν καταστήσεται εἰς κρίσιν κύριος καὶ στήσει εἰς κρίσιν τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Isa 3:13 Stat ad judicandum Dominus, et stat ad judicandos populos.(vulgate) Isa 3:13 Aber der HERR steht da, zu rechten, und ist aufgetreten, die Völker zu richten.(dhs) Isa 3:13 The Lord stands up to plead, And stands to judge the people.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:14 ============ Isa 3:14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, "It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.(nasb) Isa 3:14 αὐτὸς κύριος εἰς κρίσιν ἥξει μετὰ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ μετὰ τῶν ἀρχόντων αὐτοῦ ὑμεῖς δὲ τί ἐνεπυρίσατε τὸν ἀμπελῶνά μου καὶ ἡ ἁρπαγὴ τοῦ πτωχοῦ ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις ὑμῶν (lxx) Isa 3:14 Dominus ad judicium veniet cum senibus populi sui, et principibus ejus; vos enim depasti estis vineam, et rapina pauperis in domo vestra.(vulgate) Isa 3:14 Und der HERR geht ins Gericht mit den Ältesten seines Volkes und mit seinen Fürsten: Denn ihr habt den Weinberg verderbt, und der Raub von den Armen ist in eurem Hause.(dhs) Isa 3:14 The Lord will enter into judgment With the elders of His people And His princes: "For you have eaten up the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 3:15 ============ Isa 3:15 "What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the face of the poor?" Declares the Lord God of hosts.(nasb) Isa 3:15 τί ὑμεῖς ἀδικεῖτε τὸν λαόν μου καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον τῶν πτωχῶν καταισχύνετε (lxx) Isa 3:15 Quare atteritis populum meum, et facies pauperum commolitis? dicit Dominus exercituum.]~(vulgate) Isa 3:15 Warum zertretet ihr mein Volk und zerschlaget die Person der Elenden? spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Isa 3:15 What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the faces of the poor?" Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp; Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.(nasb) Isa 3:24 καὶ ἔσται ἀντὶ ὀσμῆς ἡδείας κονιορτός καὶ ἀντὶ ζώνης σχοινίῳ ζώσῃ καὶ ἀντὶ τοῦ κόσμου τῆς κεφαλῆς τοῦ χρυσίου φαλάκρωμα ἕξεις διὰ τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ ἀντὶ τοῦ χιτῶνος τοῦ μεσοπορφύρου περιζώσῃ σάκκον (lxx) Isa 3:24 Et erit pro suavi odore fœtor, et pro zona funiculus, et pro crispanti crine calvitium, et pro fascia pectorali cilicium.(vulgate) Isa 3:24 und es wird Gestank für guten Geruch sein, und ein Strick für einen Gürtel, und eine Glatze für krauses Haar, und für einen weiten Mantel ein enger Sack; solches alles anstatt deiner Schöne.(dhs) Isa 3:24 And so it shall be: Instead of a sweet smell there will be a stench; Instead of a sash, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, baldness; Instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth;
