My well-beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.(nasb) Isa 5:1 ᾄσω δὴ τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ ᾆσμα τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου ἀμπελὼν ἐγενήθη τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ ἐν κέρατι ἐν τόπῳ πίονι (lxx) Isa 5:1 [Cantabo dilecto meo canticum patruelis mei vineæ suæ. Vinea facta est dilecto meo in cornu filio olei.(vulgate) Isa 5:1 Wohlan, ich will meinem Lieben singen, ein Lied meines Geliebten von seinem Weinberge: Mein Lieber hat einen Weinberg an einem fetten Ort.(dhs) Isa 5:1 Now let me sing to my Well-beloved A song of my Beloved regarding His vineyard: My Well-beloved has a vineyard On a very fruitful hill.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:2 ============ Isa 5:2 He dug it all around, removed its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. And He built a tower in the middle of it And also hewed out a wine vat in it; Then He expected it to produce good grapes, But it produced only worthless ones.(nasb) Isa 5:2 καὶ φραγμὸν περιέθηκα καὶ ἐχαράκωσα καὶ ἐφύτευσα ἄμπελον σωρηχ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησα πύργον ἐν μέσῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ προλήνιον ὤρυξα ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι σταφυλήν ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀκάνθας (lxx) Isa 5:2 Et sepivit eam, et lapides elegit ex illa, et plantavit eam electam; et ædificavit turrim in medio ejus, et torcular exstruxit in ea; et exspectavit ut faceret uvas, et fecit labruscas.(vulgate) Isa 5:2 Und er hat ihn verzäunt und mit Steinhaufen verwahrt und edle Reben darin gesenkt. Er baute auch einen Turm darin und grub eine Kelter darein und wartete, daß er Trauben brächte; aber er brachte Herlinge.(dhs) Isa 5:2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst, And also made a winepress in it; So He expected it to bring forth good grapes, But it brought forth wild grapes.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:3 ============ Isa 5:3 "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.(nasb) Isa 5:3 καὶ νῦν ἄνθρωπος τοῦ Ιουδα καὶ οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν Ιερουσαλημ κρίνατε ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ ἀμπελῶνός μου (lxx) Isa 5:3 Nunc ergo, habitatores Jerusalem et viri Juda, judicate inter me et vineam meam.(vulgate) Isa 5:3 Nun richtet, ihr Bürger zu Jerusalem und ihr Männer Juda's, zwischen mir und meinem Weinberge.(dhs) Isa 5:3 "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:4 ============ Isa 5:4 "What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones?(nasb) Isa 5:4 τί ποιήσω ἔτι τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησα αὐτῷ διότι ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι σταφυλήν ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀκάνθας (lxx) Isa 5:4 Quid est quod debui ultra facere vineæ meæ, et non feci ei? an quod exspectavi ut faceret uvas, et fecit labruscas?(vulgate) Isa 5:4 Was sollte man doch noch mehr tun an meinem Weinberge, das ich nicht getan habe an ihm? Warum hat er denn Herlinge gebracht, da ich erwartete, daß er Trauben brächte?(dhs) Isa 5:4 What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:5 ============ Isa 5:5 "So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.(nasb) Isa 5:5 νῦν δὲ ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν τί ποιήσω τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου ἀφελῶ τὸν φραγμὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται εἰς διαρπαγήν καὶ καθελῶ τὸν τοῖχον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται εἰς καταπάτημα (lxx) Isa 5:5 Et nunc ostendam vobis quid ego faciam vineæ meæ: auferam sepem ejus, et erit in direptionem; diruam maceriam ejus, et erit in conculcationem.(vulgate) Isa 5:5 Wohlan, ich will euch zeigen, was ich meinem Weinberge tun will. Seine Wand soll weggenommen werden, daß er verwüstet werde; sein Zaun soll zerrissen werden, daß er zertreten werde.(dhs) Isa 5:5 And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned; And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:6 ============ Isa 5:6 "I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned or hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also charge the clouds to rain no rain on it."(nasb) Isa 5:6 καὶ ἀνήσω τὸν ἀμπελῶνά μου καὶ οὐ μὴ τμηθῇ οὐδὲ μὴ σκαφῇ καὶ ἀναβήσεται εἰς αὐτὸν ὡς εἰς χέρσον ἄκανθα καὶ ταῖς νεφέλαις ἐντελοῦμαι τοῦ μὴ βρέξαι εἰς αὐτὸν ὑετόν (lxx) Isa 5:6 Et ponam eam desertam; non putabitur et non fodietur: et ascendent vepres et spinæ, et nubibus mandabo ne pluant super eam imbrem.(vulgate) Isa 5:6 Ich will ihn wüst liegen lassen, daß er nicht beschnitten noch gehackt werde, sondern Disteln und Dornen darauf wachsen, und will den Wolken gebieten, daß sie nicht darauf regnen.(dhs) Isa 5:6 I will lay it waste; It shall not be pruned or dug, But there shall come up briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds That they rain no rain on it."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:7 ============ Isa 5:7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel And the men of Judah His delightful plant. Thus He looked for justice, but behold, bloodshed; For righteousness, but behold, a cry of distress.(nasb) Isa 5:7 ὁ γὰρ ἀμπελὼν κυρίου σαβαωθ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐστίν καὶ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ Ιουδα νεόφυτον ἠγαπημένον ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι κρίσιν ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀνομίαν καὶ οὐ δικαιοσύνην ἀλλὰ κραυγήν (lxx) Isa 5:7 Vinea enim Domini exercituum domus Israël est; et vir Juda germen ejus delectabile: et exspectavi ut faceret judicium, et ecce iniquitas; et justitiam, et ecce clamor.]~(vulgate) Isa 5:7 Des HERRN Zebaoth Weinberg aber ist das Haus Israel, und die Männer Juda's seine Pflanzung, daran er Lust hatte. Er wartete auf Recht, siehe, so ist's Schinderei, auf Gerechtigkeit, siehe, so ist's Klage.(dhs) Isa 5:7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:8 ============ Isa 5:8 Woe to those who add house to house and join field to field, Until there is no more room, So that you have to live alone in the midst of the land!(nasb) Isa 5:8 οὐαὶ οἱ συνάπτοντες οἰκίαν πρὸς οἰκίαν καὶ ἀγρὸν πρὸς ἀγρὸν ἐγγίζοντες ἵνα τοῦ πλησίον ἀφέλωνταί τι μὴ οἰκήσετε μόνοι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Isa 5:8 [Væ qui conjungitis domum ad domum, et agrum agro copulatis usque ad terminum loci! Numquid habitabitis vos soli in medio terræ?(vulgate) Isa 5:8 Weh denen, die ein Haus an das andere ziehen und einen Acker zum andern bringen, bis daß kein Raum mehr da sei, daß sie allein das Land besitzen!(dhs) Isa 5:8 Woe to those who join house to house; They add field to field, Till there is no place Where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:9 ============ Isa 5:9 In my ears the Lord of hosts has sworn, "Surely, many houses shall become desolate, Even great and fine ones, without occupants.(nasb) Isa 5:9 ἠκούσθη γὰρ εἰς τὰ ὦτα κυρίου σαβαωθ ταῦτα ἐὰν γὰρ γένωνται οἰκίαι πολλαί εἰς ἔρημον ἔσονται μεγάλαι καὶ καλαί καὶ οὐκ ἔσονται οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν αὐταῖς (lxx) Isa 5:9 In auribus meis sunt hæc, dicit Dominus exercituum; nisi domus multæ desertæ fuerint, grandes et pulchræ, absque habitatore.(vulgate) Isa 5:9 Es ist in meinen Ohren das Wort des HERRN Zebaoth: Was gilt's, wo nicht die vielen Häuser sollen wüst werden und die großen und feinen öde stehen?(dhs) Isa 5:9 In my hearing the Lord of hosts said, "Truly, many houses shall be desolate, Great and beautiful ones, without inhabitant.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:10 ============ Isa 5:10 "For ten acres of vineyard will yield only one bath of wine, And a homer of seed will yield but an ephah of grain."(nasb) Isa 5:10 οὗ γὰρ ἐργῶνται δέκα ζεύγη βοῶν ποιήσει κεράμιον ἕν καὶ ὁ σπείρων ἀρτάβας ἓξ ποιήσει μέτρα τρία (lxx) Isa 5:10 Decem enim jugera vinearum facient lagunculam unam, et triginta modii sementis facient modios tres.(vulgate) Isa 5:10 Denn zehn Acker Weinberg soll nur einen Eimer geben und ein Malter Samen soll nur einen Scheffel geben.(dhs) Isa 5:10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, And a homer of seed shall yield one ephah."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:11 ============ Isa 5:11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning that they may pursue strong drink, Who stay up late in the evening that wine may inflame them!(nasb) Isa 5:11 οὐαὶ οἱ ἐγειρόμενοι τὸ πρωὶ καὶ τὸ σικερα διώκοντες οἱ μένοντες τὸ ὀψέ ὁ γὰρ οἶνος αὐτοὺς συγκαύσει (lxx) Isa 5:11 Væ qui consurgitis mane ad ebrietatem sectandam, et potandum usque ad vesperam, ut vino æstuetis!(vulgate) Isa 5:11 Weh denen, die des Morgens früh auf sind, des Saufens sich zu fleißigen, und sitzen bis in die Nacht, daß sie der Wein erhitzt,(dhs) Isa 5:11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:12 ============ Isa 5:12 Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention to the deeds of the Lord, Nor do they consider the work of His hands.(nasb) Isa 5:12 μετὰ γὰρ κιθάρας καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ τυμπάνων καὶ αὐλῶν τὸν οἶνον πίνουσιν τὰ δὲ ἔργα κυρίου οὐκ ἐμβλέπουσιν καὶ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ οὐ κατανοοῦσιν (lxx) Isa 5:12 Cithara, et lyra, et tympanum, et tibia, et vinum in conviviis vestris; et opus Domini non respicitis, nec opera manuum ejus consideratis.(vulgate) Isa 5:12 und haben Harfen, Psalter, Pauken, Pfeifen und Wein in ihrem Wohlleben und sehen nicht auf das Werk des HERRN und schauen nicht auf das Geschäft seiner Hände!(dhs) Isa 5:12 The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, And wine are in their feasts; But they do not regard the work of the Lord, Nor consider the operation of His hands.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:13 ============ Isa 5:13 Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; And their honorable men are famished, And their multitude is parched with thirst.(nasb) Isa 5:13 τοίνυν αἰχμάλωτος ὁ λαός μου ἐγενήθη διὰ τὸ μὴ εἰδέναι αὐτοὺς τὸν κύριον καὶ πλῆθος ἐγενήθη νεκρῶν διὰ λιμὸν καὶ δίψαν ὕδατος (lxx) Isa 5:13 Propterea captivus ductus est populus meus, quia non habuit scientiam, et nobiles ejus interierunt fame, et multitudo ejus siti exaruit.(vulgate) Isa 5:13 Darum wird mein Volk müssen weggeführt werden unversehens, und werden seine Herrlichen Hunger leiden und sein Pöbel Durst leiden.(dhs) Isa 5:13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitude dried up with thirst.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:14 ============ Isa 5:14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged its throat and opened its mouth without measure; And Jerusalem's splendor, her multitude, her din of revelry and the jubilant within her, descend into it.(nasb) Isa 5:14 καὶ ἐπλάτυνεν ὁ ᾅδης τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ διήνοιξεν τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ διαλιπεῖν καὶ καταβήσονται οἱ ἔνδοξοι καὶ οἱ μεγάλοι καὶ οἱ πλούσιοι καὶ οἱ λοιμοὶ αὐτῆς (lxx) Isa 5:14 Propterea dilatavit infernus animam suam, et aperuit os suum absque ullo termino; et descendent fortes ejus, et populus ejus, et sublimes gloriosique ejus, ad eum.(vulgate) Isa 5:14 Daher hat die Hölle den Schlund weit aufgesperrt und den Rachen aufgetan ohne Maß, daß hinunterfahren beide, ihre Herrlichen und der Pöbel, ihre Reichen und Fröhlichen;(dhs) Isa 5:14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself And opened its mouth beyond measure; Their glory and their multitude and their pomp, And he who is jubilant, shall descend into it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:15 ============ Isa 5:15 So the common man will be humbled and the man of importance abased, The eyes of the proud also will be abased.(nasb) Isa 5:15 καὶ ταπεινωθήσεται ἄνθρωπος καὶ ἀτιμασθήσεται ἀνήρ καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ οἱ μετέωροι ταπεινωθήσονται (lxx) Isa 5:15 Et incurvabitur homo, et humiliabitur vir, et oculi sublimium deprimentur.(vulgate) Isa 5:15 daß jedermann sich bücken müsse und jedermann gedemütigt werde und die Augen der Hoffärtigen gedemütigt werden,(dhs) Isa 5:15 People shall be brought down, Each man shall be humbled, And the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:16 ============ Isa 5:16 But the Lord of hosts will be exalted in judgment, And the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.(nasb) Isa 5:16 καὶ ὑψωθήσεται κύριος σαβαωθ ἐν κρίματι καὶ ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἅγιος δοξασθήσεται ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ (lxx) Isa 5:16 Et exaltabitur Dominus exercituum in judicio; et Deus sanctus sanctificabitur in justitia.(vulgate) Isa 5:16 aber der HERR Zebaoth erhöht werde im Recht und Gott, der Heilige, geheiligt werde in Gerechtigkeit.(dhs) Isa 5:16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, And God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:17 ============ Isa 5:17 Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, And strangers will eat in the waste places of the wealthy.(nasb) Isa 5:17 καὶ βοσκηθήσονται οἱ διηρπασμένοι ὡς ταῦροι καὶ τὰς ἐρήμους τῶν ἀπειλημμένων ἄρνες φάγονται (lxx) Isa 5:17 Et pascentur agni juxta ordinem suum, et deserta in ubertatem versa advenæ comedent.]~(vulgate) Isa 5:17 Da werden die Lämmer sich weiden an jener Statt, und Fremdlinge werden sich nähren in den Wüstungen der Fetten.(dhs) Isa 5:17 Then the lambs shall feed in their pasture, And in the waste places of the fat ones strangers shall eat.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:18 ============ Isa 5:18 Woe to those who drag iniquity with the cords of falsehood, And sin as if with cart ropes;(nasb) Isa 5:18 οὐαὶ οἱ ἐπισπώμενοι τὰς ἁμαρτίας ὡς σχοινίῳ μακρῷ καὶ ὡς ζυγοῦ ἱμάντι δαμάλεως τὰς ἀνομίας (lxx) Isa 5:18 [Væ qui trahitis iniquitatem in funiculis vanitatis, et quasi vinculum plaustri peccatum!(vulgate) Isa 5:18 Weh denen, die am Unrecht ziehen mit Stricken der Lüge und an der Sünde mit Wagenseilen(dhs) Isa 5:18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, And sin as if with a cart rope;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:19 ============ Isa 5:19 Who say, "Let Him make speed, let Him hasten His work, that we may see it; And let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near And come to pass, that we may know it!"(nasb) Isa 5:19 οἱ λέγοντες τὸ τάχος ἐγγισάτω ἃ ποιήσει ἵνα ἴδωμεν καὶ ἐλθάτω ἡ βουλὴ τοῦ ἁγίου Ισραηλ ἵνα γνῶμεν (lxx) Isa 5:19 qui dicitis: Festinet, et cito veniat opus ejus, ut videamus; et appropiet, et veniat consilium sancti Israël, et sciemus illud!(vulgate) Isa 5:19 und sprechen: Laß eilend und bald kommen sein Werk, daß wir's sehen; laß herfahren und kommen den Anschlag des Heiligen in Israel, daß wir's innewerden.(dhs) Isa 5:19 That say, "Let Him make speed and hasten His work, That we may see it; And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, That we may know it."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:20 ============ Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!(nasb) Isa 5:20 οὐαὶ οἱ λέγοντες τὸ πονηρὸν καλὸν καὶ τὸ καλὸν πονηρόν οἱ τιθέντες τὸ σκότος φῶς καὶ τὸ φῶς σκότος οἱ τιθέντες τὸ πικρὸν γλυκὺ καὶ τὸ γλυκὺ πικρόν (lxx) Isa 5:20 Væ qui dicitis malum bonum, et bonum malum; ponentes tenebras lucem, et lucem tenebras; ponentes amarum in dulce, et dulce in amarum!(vulgate) Isa 5:20 Weh denen, die Böses gut und Gutes böse heißen, die aus Finsternis Licht und aus Licht Finsternis machen, die aus sauer süß und aus süß sauer machen!(dhs) Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:21 ============ Isa 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!(nasb) Isa 5:21 οὐαὶ οἱ συνετοὶ ἐν ἑαυτοῖς καὶ ἐνώπιον ἑαυτῶν ἐπιστήμονες (lxx) Isa 5:21 Væ qui sapientes estis in oculis vestris, et coram vobismetipsis prudentes.(vulgate) Isa 5:21 Weh denen, die bei sich selbst weise sind und halten sich selbst für klug!(dhs) Isa 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:22 ============ Isa 5:22 Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine And valiant men in mixing strong drink,(nasb) Isa 5:22 οὐαὶ οἱ ἰσχύοντες ὑμῶν οἱ τὸν οἶνον πίνοντες καὶ οἱ δυνάσται οἱ κεραννύντες τὸ σικερα (lxx) Isa 5:22 Væ qui potentes estis ad bibendum vinum, et viri fortes ad miscendam ebrietatem!(vulgate) Isa 5:22 Weh denen, die Helden sind, Wein zu saufen, und Krieger in Völlerei;(dhs) Isa 5:22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:23 ============ Isa 5:23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!(nasb) Isa 5:23 οἱ δικαιοῦντες τὸν ἀσεβῆ ἕνεκεν δώρων καὶ τὸ δίκαιον τοῦ δικαίου αἴροντες (lxx) Isa 5:23 qui justificatis impium pro muneribus, et justitiam justi aufertis ab eo!(vulgate) Isa 5:23 die den Gottlosen gerechtsprechen um Geschenke willen und das Recht der Gerechten von ihnen wenden!(dhs) Isa 5:23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away justice from the righteous man!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:24 ============ Isa 5:24 Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble And dry grass collapses into the flame, So their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust; For they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.(nasb) Isa 5:24 διὰ τοῦτο ὃν τρόπον καυθήσεται καλάμη ὑπὸ ἄνθρακος πυρὸς καὶ συγκαυθήσεται ὑπὸ φλογὸς ἀνειμένης ἡ ῥίζα αὐτῶν ὡς χνοῦς ἔσται καὶ τὸ ἄνθος αὐτῶν ὡς κονιορτὸς ἀναβήσεται οὐ γὰρ ἠθέλησαν τὸν νόμον κυρίου σαβαωθ ἀλλὰ τὸ λόγιον τοῦ ἁγίου Ισραηλ παρώξυναν (lxx) Isa 5:24 Propter hoc, sicut devorat stipulam lingua ignis, et calor flammæ exurit, sic radix eorum quasi favilla erit, et germen eorum ut pulvis ascendet; abjecerunt enim legem Domini exercituum, et eloquium sancti Israël blasphemaverunt.(vulgate) Isa 5:24 Darum, wie des Feuers Flamme Stroh verzehrt und die Lohe Stoppeln hinnimmt, also wird ihre Wurzel verfaulen und ihre Blüte auffliegen wie Staub. Denn sie verachten das Gesetz des HERRN Zebaoth und lästern die Rede des Heiligen in Israel.(dhs) Isa 5:24 Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 5:25 ============ Isa 5:25 On this account the anger of the Lord has burned against His people, And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down. And the mountains quaked, and their corpses lay like refuse in the middle of the streets. Ungulæ equorum ejus ut silex, et rotæ ejus quasi impetus tempestatis.(vulgate) Isa 5:28 Ihre Pfeile sind scharf und alle ihre Bogen gespannt. If one looks to the land, behold, there is darkness and distress; Even the light is darkened by its clouds.(nasb) Isa 5:30 καὶ βοήσει δι᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὡς φωνὴ θαλάσσης κυμαινούσης καὶ ἐμβλέψονται εἰς τὴν γῆν καὶ ἰδοὺ σκότος σκληρὸν ἐν τῇ ἀπορίᾳ αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 5:30 Et sonabit super eum in die illa sicut sonitus maris: aspiciemus in terram, et ecce tenebræ tribulationis, et lux obtenebrata est in caligine ejus.](vulgate) Isa 5:30 und werden über sie brausen zu der Zeit wie das Meer.
