Today's Date: ======= Luke 6:1 ============ Luk 6:1 Now it happened that He was passing through some grainfields on a Sabbath; and His disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating the grain.(nasb) Luk 6:1 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν σαββάτῳ διαπορεύεσθαι αὐτὸν διὰ σπορίμων, καὶ ἔτιλλον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἤσθιον τοὺς στάχυας ψώχοντες ταῖς χερσίν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:1 Factum est autem in sabbato secundo, primo, cum transiret per sata, vellebant discipuli ejus spicas, et manducabant confricantes manibus.(vulgate) Luk 6:1 Und es begab sich an einem Sabbat, daß er durchs Getreide ging; und seine Jünger rauften Ähren aus und aßen und rieben sie mit den Händen.(dhs) Luk 6:1 Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grainfields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hands.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:2 ============ Luk 6:2 But some of the Pharisees said, "Why do you do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"(nasb) Luk 6:2 τινὲς δὲ τῶν φαρισαίων εἶπαν, τί ποιεῖτε ὃ οὐκ ἔξεστιν τοῖς σάββασιν;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:2 Quidam autem pharisæorum, dicebant illis: Quid facitis quod non licet in sabbatis?(vulgate) Luk 6:2 Etliche aber der Pharisäer sprachen zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr, was sich nicht ziemt zu tun an den Sabbaten?(dhs) Luk 6:2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?"(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:3 ============ Luk 6:3 And Jesus answering them said, "Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,(nasb) Luk 6:3 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἶπεν ὁ ἰησοῦς, οὐδὲ τοῦτο ἀνέγνωτε ὃ ἐποίησεν δαυὶδ ὅτε ἐπείνασεν αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ [ὄντες];(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:3 Et respondens Jesus ad eos, dixit: Nec hoc legistis quod fecit David, cum esurisset ipse, et qui cum illo erant?(vulgate) Luk 6:3 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr nicht das gelesen, was David tat, da ihn hungerte und die mit ihm waren?(dhs) Luk 6:3 But Jesus answering them said, "Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:4 ============ Luk 6:4 how he entered the house of God, and took and ate the consecrated bread which is not lawful for any to eat except the priests alone, and gave it to his companions?"(nasb) Luk 6:4 [ὡς] εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως λαβὼν ἔφαγεν καὶ ἔδωκεν τοῖς μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ, οὓς οὐκ ἔξεστιν φαγεῖν εἰ μὴ μόνους τοὺς ἱερεῖς;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:4 quomodo intravit in domum Dei, et panes propositionis sumpsit, et manducavit, et dedit his qui cum ipso erant: quos non licet manducare nisi tantum sacerdotibus?(vulgate) Luk 6:4 wie er zum Hause Gottes einging und nahm die Schaubrote und aß und gab auch denen, die mit ihm waren; die doch niemand durfte essen als die Priester allein?(dhs) Luk 6:4 how he went into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those with him, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat?"(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:5 ============ Luk 6:5 And He was saying to them," The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."(nasb) Luk 6:5 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, κύριός ἐστιν τοῦ σαββάτου ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:5 Et dicebat illis: Quia dominus est Filius hominis etiam sabbati.~(vulgate) Luk 6:5 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Des Menschen Sohn ist ein HERR auch des Sabbats.(dhs) Luk 6:5 And He said to them, "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:6 ============ Luk 6:6 On another Sabbath He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered.(nasb) Luk 6:6 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ἑτέρῳ σαββάτῳ εἰσελθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν συναγωγὴν καὶ διδάσκειν· καὶ ἦν ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖ καὶ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἡ δεξιὰ ἦν ξηρά·(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:6 Factum est autem in alio sabbato, ut intraret in synagogam, et doceret. Et erat ibi homo, et manus ejus dextra erat arida.(vulgate) Luk 6:6 Es geschah aber an einem andern Sabbat, daß er ging in die Schule und lehrte. Und da war ein Mensch, des rechte Hand war verdorrt.(dhs) Luk 6:6 Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:7 ============ Luk 6:7 The scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him.(nasb) Luk 6:7 παρετηροῦντο δὲ αὐτὸν οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ φαρισαῖοι εἰ ἐν τῶ σαββάτῳ θεραπεύει, ἵνα εὕρωσιν κατηγορεῖν αὐτοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:7 Observabant autem scribæ et pharisæi si in sabbato curaret, ut invenirent unde accusarent eum.(vulgate) Luk 6:7 Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer lauerten darauf, ob er auch heilen würde am Sabbat, auf daß sie eine Sache wider ihn fänden.(dhs) Luk 6:7 So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:8 ============ Luk 6:8 But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, "Get up and come forward!" Et surgens stetit.(vulgate) Luk 6:8 Er aber merkte ihre Gedanken und sprach zu dem Menschen mit der dürren Hand: Stehe auf und tritt hervor! Und er stand auf und trat dahin.(dhs) Luk 6:8 But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand here." And he arose and stood.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:9 ============ Luk 6:9 And Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?"(nasb) Luk 6:9 εἶπεν δὲ ὁ ἰησοῦς πρὸς αὐτούς, ἐπερωτῶ ὑμᾶς, εἰ ἔξεστιν τῶ σαββάτῳ ἀγαθοποιῆσαι ἢ κακοποιῆσαι, ψυχὴν σῶσαι ἢ ἀπολέσαι;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:9 Ait autem ad illos Jesus: Interrogo vos si licet sabbatis benefacere, an male: animam salvam facere, an perdere?(vulgate) Luk 6:9 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Ich frage euch: Was ziemt sich zu tun an den Sabbaten, Gutes oder Böses? das Leben erhalten oder verderben?(dhs) Luk 6:9 Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?"(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:10 ============ Luk 6:10 After looking around at them all, He said to him, "Stretch out your hand!" And he did so; and his hand was restored.(nasb) Luk 6:10 καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντας αὐτοὺς εἶπεν αὐτῶ, ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρά σου. ὁ δὲ ἐποίησεν, καὶ ἀπεκατεστάθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:10 Et circumspectis omnibus dixit homini: Extende manum tuam. Et extendit: et restituta est manus ejus.(vulgate) Luk 6:10 Und er sah sie alle umher an und sprach zu dem Menschen: Strecke deine Hand aus! und er tat's; da ward ihm seine Hand wieder zurechtgebracht, gesund wie die andere.(dhs) Luk 6:10 And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:11 ============ Luk 6:11 But they themselves were filled with rage, and discussed together what they might do to Jesus.(nasb) Luk 6:11 αὐτοὶ δὲ ἐπλήσθησαν ἀνοίας, καὶ διελάλουν πρὸς ἀλλήλους τί ἂν ποιήσαιεν τῶ ἰησοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:11 Ipsi autem repleti sunt insipientia, et colloquebantur ad invicem, quidnam facerent Jesu.~(vulgate) Luk 6:11 Sie aber wurden ganz unsinnig und beredeten sich miteinander, was sie ihm tun wollten.(dhs) Luk 6:11 But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:12 ============ Luk 6:12 It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.(nasb) Luk 6:12 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις ἐξελθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ ὄρος προσεύξασθαι, καὶ ἦν διανυκτερεύων ἐν τῇ προσευχῇ τοῦ θεοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:12 Factum est autem in illis diebus, exiit in montem orare, et erat pernoctans in oratione Dei.(vulgate) Luk 6:12 Es begab sich aber zu der Zeit, daß er ging auf einen Berg zu beten; und er blieb über Nacht in dem Gebet zu Gott.(dhs) Luk 6:12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:13 ============ Luk 6:13 And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles:(nasb) Luk 6:13 καὶ ὅτε ἐγένετο ἡμέρα, προσεφώνησεν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκλεξάμενος ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν δώδεκα, οὓς καὶ ἀποστόλους ὠνόμασεν,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:13 Et cum dies factus esset, vocavit discipulos suos: et elegit duodecim ex ipsis (quos et apostolos nominavit):(vulgate) Luk 6:13 Und da es Tag ward, rief er seine Jünger und erwählte ihrer zwölf, welche er auch Apostel nannte:(dhs) Luk 6:13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great throng of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon,(nasb) Luk 6:17 καὶ καταβὰς μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἔστη ἐπὶ τόπου πεδινοῦ, καὶ ὄχλος πολὺς μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ, καὶ πλῆθος πολὺ τοῦ λαοῦ ἀπὸ πάσης τῆς ἰουδαίας καὶ ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ τῆς παραλίου τύρου καὶ σιδῶνος,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:17 Et descendens cum illis, stetit in loco campestri, et turba discipulorum ejus, et multitudo copiosa plebis ab omni Judæa, et Jerusalem, et maritima, et Tyri, et Sidonis,(vulgate) Luk 6:17 Und er ging hernieder mit ihnen und trat auf einen Platz im Felde und der Haufe seiner Jünger und eine große Menge des Volks von allem jüdischen Lande und Jerusalem und Tyrus und Sidon, am Meer gelegen,(dhs) Luk 6:17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases,(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:18 ============ Luk 6:18 who had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were being cured.(nasb) Luk 6:18 οἳ ἦλθον ἀκοῦσαι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἰαθῆναι ἀπὸ τῶν νόσων αὐτῶν· καὶ οἱ ἐνοχλούμενοι ἀπὸ πνευμάτων ἀκαθάρτων ἐθεραπεύοντο.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:18 qui venerant ut audirent eum, et sanarentur a languoribus suis. Et qui vexabantur a spiritibus immundis, curabantur.(vulgate) Luk 6:18 die da gekommen waren, ihn zu hören und daß sie geheilt würden von ihren Seuchen; und die von unsauberen Geistern umgetrieben wurden, die wurden gesund.(dhs) Luk 6:18 as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:19 ============ Luk 6:19 And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all.(nasb) Luk 6:19 καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἐζήτουν ἅπτεσθαι αὐτοῦ, ὅτι δύναμις παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐξήρχετο καὶ ἰᾶτο πάντας.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:19 Et omnis turba quærebat eum tangere: quia virtus de illo exibat, et sanabat omnes.~(vulgate) Luk 6:19 Und alles Volk begehrte ihn anzurühren; denn es ging Kraft von ihm und er heilte sie alle.(dhs) Luk 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:20 ============ Luk 6:20 And turning His gaze toward His disciples, He began to say, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.(nasb) Luk 6:20 καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπάρας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ ἔλεγεν, μακάριοι οἱ πτωχοί, ὅτι ὑμετέρα ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:20 Et ipse elevatis oculis in discipulis suis, dicebat: Beati pauperes, quia vestrum est regnum Dei.(vulgate) Luk 6:20 Und er hob seine Augen auf über seine Jünger und sprach: Selig seid ihr Armen; denn das Reich Gottes ist euer.(dhs) Luk 6:20 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:21 ============ Luk 6:21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.(nasb) Luk 6:21 μακάριοι οἱ πεινῶντες νῦν, ὅτι χορτασθήσεσθε. μακάριοι οἱ κλαίοντες νῦν, ὅτι γελάσετε.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:21 Beati qui nunc esuritis, quia saturabimini. Beati qui nunc fletis, quia ridebitis.(vulgate) Luk 6:21 Selig seid ihr, die ihr hier hungert; denn ihr sollt satt werden. Selig seid ihr, die ihr hier weint; denn ihr werdet lachen.(dhs) Luk 6:21 Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:22 ============ Luk 6:22 Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.(nasb) Luk 6:22 μακάριοί ἐστε ὅταν μισήσωσιν ὑμᾶς οἱ ἄνθρωποι, καὶ ὅταν ἀφορίσωσιν ὑμᾶς καὶ ὀνειδίσωσιν καὶ ἐκβάλωσιν τὸ ὄνομα ὑμῶν ὡς πονηρὸν ἕνεκα τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου·(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:22 Beati eritis cum vos oderint homines, et cum separaverint vos, et exprobraverint, et ejicerint nomen vestrum tamquam malum propter Filium hominis.(vulgate) Luk 6:22 Selig seid ihr, so euch die Menschen hassen und euch absondern und schelten euch und verwerfen euren Namen als einen bösen um des Menschensohns willen.(dhs) Luk 6:22 Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:23 ============ Luk 6:23 Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets.(nasb) Luk 6:23 χάρητε ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ καὶ σκιρτήσατε, ἰδοὺ γὰρ ὁ μισθὸς ὑμῶν πολὺς ἐν τῶ οὐρανῶ· κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ γὰρ ἐποίουν τοῖς προφήταις οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:23 Gaudete in illa die, et exsultate: ecce enim merces vestra multa est in cælo: secundum hæc enim faciebant prophetis patres eorum.(vulgate) Luk 6:23 Freut euch alsdann und hupfet; denn siehe, euer Lohn ist groß im Himmel. Desgleichen taten ihre Väter den Propheten auch.(dhs) Luk 6:23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:24 ============ Luk 6:24 But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full.(nasb) Luk 6:24 πλὴν οὐαὶ ὑμῖν τοῖς πλουσίοις, ὅτι ἀπέχετε τὴν παράκλησιν ὑμῶν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:24 Verumtamen væ vobis divitibus, quia habetis consolationem vestram.(vulgate) Luk 6:24 Aber dagegen weh euch Reichen! denn ihr habt euren Trost dahin.(dhs) Luk 6:24 But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:25 ============ Luk 6:25 Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.(nasb) Luk 6:25 οὐαὶ ὑμῖν, οἱ ἐμπεπλησμένοι νῦν, ὅτι πεινάσετε. οὐαί, οἱ γελῶντες νῦν, ὅτι πενθήσετε καὶ κλαύσετε.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:25 Væ vobis, qui saturati estis: quia esurietis. Væ vobis, qui ridetis nunc: quia lugebitis et flebitis.(vulgate) Luk 6:25 Weh euch, die ihr voll seid! denn euch wird hungern. Weh euch, die ihr hier lachet! denn ihr werdet weinen und heulen.(dhs) Luk 6:25 Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep.(nkjv) ======= Luke 6:26 ============ Luk 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.(nasb) Luk 6:26 οὐαὶ ὅταν ὑμᾶς καλῶς εἴπωσιν πάντες οἱ ἄνθρωποι, κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ γὰρ ἐποίουν τοῖς ψευδοπροφήταις οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 6:26 Væ cum benedixerint vobis homines: secundum hæc enim faciebant pseudoprophetis patres eorum.~(vulgate) Luk 6:26 Weh euch, wenn euch jedermann wohlredet!
