Today's Date: ======= Genesis 18:1 ============ Gen 18:1 Now the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, while he was sitting at the tent door in the heat of the day.(nasb) Gen 18:1 Apparuit autem ei Dominus in convalle Mambre sedenti in ostio tabernaculi sui in ipso fervore diei.(vulgate) Génesis 18:1 Y le apareció Jehová en el valle de Mamre, estando él sentado a la puerta de su tienda en el calor del día.(E) Genèse 18:1 L'Eternel lui apparut parmi les chênes de Mamré, comme il était assis à l'entrée de sa tente, pendant la chaleur du jour.(F) Gen 18:1 Und der HERR erschien ihm im Hain Mamre, da saß er an der Tür seiner Hütte, da der Tag am heißesten war.(D) Gen 18:1 ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ θεὸς πρὸς τῇ δρυὶ τῇ Μαμβρη καθημένου αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ μεσημβρίας(lxx) Gen 18:1 Then the Lord appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:2 ============ Gen 18:2 When he lifted up his eyes and looked, behold, three men were standing opposite him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth,(nasb) Gen 18:2 Cumque elevasset oculos, apparuerunt ei tres viri stantes prope eum: quos cum vidisset, cucurrit in occursum eorum de ostio tabernaculi, et adoravit in terram.(vulgate) Génesis 18:2 Y alzó sus ojos y miró, y he aquí tres varones que estaban junto a él; y cuando [los] vio, salió corriendo de la puerta de su tienda a recibirlos, y se inclinó hacia la tierra,(E) Genèse 18:2 Il leva les yeux, et regarda: et voici, trois hommes étaient debout près de lui. Quand il les vit, il courut au-devant d'eux, depuis l'entrée de sa tente, et se prosterna en terre.(F) Gen 18:2 Und als er seine Augen aufhob und sah, siehe, da standen drei Männer vor ihm. Und da er sie sah, lief er ihnen entgegen von der Tür seiner Hütte und bückte sich nieder zur Erde(D) Gen 18:2 ἀναβλέψας δὲ τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτοῦ εἶδεν καὶ ἰδοὺ τρεῖς ἄνδρες εἱστήκεισαν ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ καὶ ἰδὼν προσέδραμεν εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτοῖς ἀπὸ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ προσεκύνησεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν(lxx) Gen 18:2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:3 ============ Gen 18:3 and said, "My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not pass Your servant by.(nasb) Gen 18:3 Et dixit: Domine, si inveni gratiam in oculis tuis, ne transeas servum tuum:(vulgate) Génesis 18:3 y dijo: Mi Señor, si ahora he hallado gracia en tus ojos, te ruego que no pases de tu siervo.(E) Genèse 18:3 Et il dit: Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, ne passe point, je te prie, loin de ton serviteur.(F) Gen 18:3 und sprach: HERR, habe ich Gnade gefunden vor deinen Augen, so gehe nicht an deinem Knecht vorüber.(D) Gen 18:3 καὶ εἶπεν κύριε εἰ ἄρα εὗρον χάριν ἐναντίον σου μὴ παρέλθῃς τὸν παῖδά σου(lxx) Gen 18:3 and said, "My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:4 ============ Gen 18:4 Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree;(nasb) Gen 18:4 sed afferam pauxillum aquæ, et lavate pedes vestros, et requiescite sub arbore.(vulgate) Génesis 18:4 Que se traiga ahora un poco de agua, y lavad vuestros pies; y recostaos debajo de un árbol,(E) Genèse 18:4 Permettez qu'on apporte un peu d'eau, pour vous laver les pieds; et reposez-vous sous cet arbre.(F) Gen 18:4 Man soll euch ein wenig Wasser bringen und eure Füße waschen, und lehnt euch unter den Baum.(D) Gen 18:4 λημφθήτω δὴ ὕδωρ καὶ νιψάτωσαν τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν καὶ καταψύξατε ὑπὸ τὸ δένδρον(lxx) Gen 18:4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:5 ============ Gen 18:5 and I will bring a piece of bread, that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant." And they said, "So do, as you have said."(nasb) Gen 18:5 Ponamque buccellam panis, et confortate cor vestrum: postea transibitis: idcirco enim declinastis ad servum vestrum. Qui dixerunt: Fac ut locutus es.(vulgate) Génesis 18:5 y traeré un bocado de pan, y sustentad vuestro corazón; después pasaréis; porque por eso habéis pasado cerca de vuestro siervo. Y ellos dijeron: Haz así como has dicho.(E) Genèse 18:5 J'irai prendre un morceau de pain, pour fortifier votre coeur; après quoi, vous continuerez votre route; car c'est pour cela que vous passez près de votre serviteur. Ils répondirent: Fais comme tu l'as dit.(F) Gen 18:5 Und ich will einen Bissen Brot bringen, daß ihr euer Herz labt; darnach sollt ihr fortgehen. Denn darum seid ihr zu eurem Knecht gekommen. Sie sprachen: Tue wie du gesagt hast.(D) Gen 18:5 καὶ λήμψομαι ἄρτον καὶ φάγεσθε καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο παρελεύσεσθε εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν ὑμῶν οὗ εἵνεκεν ἐξεκλίνατε πρὸς τὸν παῖδα ὑμῶν καὶ εἶπαν οὕτως ποίησον καθὼς εἴρηκας(lxx) Gen 18:5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant." They said, "Do as you have said."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:6 ============ Gen 18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah, and said, "Quickly, prepare three measures of fine flour, knead it and make bread cakes."(nasb) Gen 18:6 Festinavit Abraham in tabernaculum ad Saram, dixitque ei: Accelera, tria sata similæ commisce, et fac subcinericios panes.(vulgate) Génesis 18:6 Entonces Abraham fue de prisa a la tienda a Sara, y le dijo: Toma presto tres medidas de flor de harina, amasa y haz panes cocidos debajo del rescoldo.(E) Genèse 18:6 Abraham alla promptement dans sa tente vers Sara, et il dit: Vite, trois mesures de fleur de farine, pétris, et fais des gâteaux.(F) Gen 18:6 Abraham eilte in die Hütte zu Sara und sprach: Eile und menge drei Maß Semmelmehl, knete und backe Kuchen.(D) Gen 18:6 καὶ ἔσπευσεν Αβρααμ ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν πρὸς Σαρραν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ σπεῦσον καὶ φύρασον τρία μέτρα σεμιδάλεως καὶ ποίησον ἐγκρυφίας(lxx) Gen 18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:7 ============ Gen 18:7 Abraham also ran to the herd, and took a tender and choice calf and gave it to the servant, and he hurried to prepare it.(nasb) Gen 18:7 Ipse vero ad armentum cucurrit, et tulit inde vitulum tenerrimum et optimum, deditque puero: qui festinavit et coxit illum.(vulgate) Génesis 18:7 Y corrió Abraham a las vacas, y tomó un becerro tierno y bueno, y lo dio al criado, y éste se dio prisa a aderezarlo.(E) Genèse 18:7 Et Abraham courut à son troupeau, prit un veau tendre et bon, et le donna à un serviteur, qui se hâta de l'apprêter.(F) Gen 18:7 Er aber lief zu den Rindern und holte ein zartes, gutes Kalb und gab's dem Knechte; der eilte und bereitete es zu.(D) Gen 18:7 καὶ εἰς τὰς βόας ἔδραμεν Αβρααμ καὶ ἔλαβεν μοσχάριον ἁπαλὸν καὶ καλὸν καὶ ἔδωκεν τῷ παιδί καὶ ἐτάχυνεν τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτό(lxx) Gen 18:7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:8 ============ Gen 18:8 He took curds and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and placed it before them; and he was standing by them under the tree as they ate.(nasb) Gen 18:8 Tulit quoque butyrum et lac, et vitulum quem coxerat, et posuit coram eis: ipse vero stabat juxta eos sub arbore.~(vulgate) Génesis 18:8 Y tomó mantequilla y leche, y el becerro que había aderezado, y lo puso delante de ellos; y él estaba junto a ellos debajo del árbol; y comieron.(E) Genèse 18:8 Il prit encore de la crème et du lait, avec le veau qu'on avait apprêté, et il les mit devant eux. Il se tint lui-même à leurs côtés, sous l'arbre. Et ils mangèrent.(F) Gen 18:8 Und er trug auf Butter und Milch und von dem Kalbe, das er zubereitet hatte, und setzte es ihnen vor und blieb stehen vor ihnen unter dem Baum, und sie aßen.(D) Gen 18:8 ἔλαβεν δὲ βούτυρον καὶ γάλα καὶ τὸ μοσχάριον ὃ ἐποίησεν καὶ παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐφάγοσαν αὐτὸς δὲ παρειστήκει αὐτοῖς ὑπὸ τὸ δένδρον(lxx) Gen 18:8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:9 ============ Gen 18:9 Then they said to him, "Where is Sarah your wife?" And he said, "There, in the tent."(nasb) Gen 18:9 Cumque comedissent, dixerunt ad eum: Ubi est Sara uxor tua? Ille respondit: Ecce in tabernaculo est.(vulgate) Génesis 18:9 Y le dijeron: ¿Dónde [está] Sara tu esposa? Y él respondió: Aquí en la tienda.(E) Genèse 18:9 Alors ils lui dirent: Où est Sara, ta femme? Il répondit: Elle est là, dans la tente.(F) Gen 18:9 Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wo ist dein Weib Sara? Er antwortete: Drinnen in der Hütte.(D) Gen 18:9 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτόν ποῦ Σαρρα ἡ γυνή σου ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν ἰδοὺ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ(lxx) Gen 18:9 Then they said to him, "Where is Sarah your wife?" So he said, "Here, in the tent."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:10 ============ Gen 18:10 He said, "I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.(nasb) Gen 18:10 Cui dixit: Revertens veniam ad te tempore isto, vita comite, et habebit filium Sara uxor tua. Quo audito, Sara risit post ostium tabernaculi.(vulgate) Génesis 18:10 Entonces dijo: De cierto volveré a ti según el tiempo de la vida, y he aquí, tendrá un hijo tu esposa Sara. Y Sara escuchaba a la puerta de la tienda, que [estaba] detrás de él.(E) Genèse 18:10 L'un d'entre eux dit: Je reviendrai vers toi à cette même époque; et voici, Sara, ta femme, aura un fils. Sara écoutait à l'entrée de la tente, qui était derrière lui.(F) Gen 18:10 Da sprach er: Ich will wieder zu dir kommen über ein Jahr; siehe, so soll Sara, dein Weib, einen Sohn haben. Das hörte Sara hinter ihm, hinter der Tür der Hütte.(D) Gen 18:10 εἶπεν δέ ἐπαναστρέφων ἥξω πρὸς σὲ κατὰ τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον εἰς ὥρας καὶ ἕξει υἱὸν Σαρρα ἡ γυνή σου Σαρρα δὲ ἤκουσεν πρὸς τῇ θύρᾳ τῆς σκηνῆς οὖσα ὄπισθεν αὐτοῦ(lxx) Gen 18:10 And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:11 ============ Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.(nasb) Gen 18:11 Erant autem ambo senes, provectæque ætatis, et desierant Saræ fieri muliebria.(vulgate) Génesis 18:11 Y Abraham y Sara [eran] viejos, entrados en días: y a Sara le había cesado ya la costumbre de las mujeres.(E) Genèse 18:11 Abraham et Sara étaient vieux, avancés en âge: et Sara ne pouvait plus espérer avoir des enfants.(F) Gen 18:11 Und sie waren beide, Abraham und Sara, alt und wohl betagt, also daß es Sara nicht mehr ging nach der Weiber Weise.(D) Gen 18:11 Αβρααμ δὲ καὶ Σαρρα πρεσβύτεροι προβεβηκότες ἡμερῶν ἐξέλιπεν δὲ Σαρρα γίνεσθαι τὰ γυναικεῖα(lxx) Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:12 ============ Gen 18:12 Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"(nasb) Gen 18:12 Quæ risit occulte dicens: Postquam consenui, et dominus meus vetulus est, voluptati operam dabo?(vulgate) Génesis 18:12 Se rió, pues, Sara entre sí, diciendo: ¿Después que he envejecido tendré deleite, siendo también mi señor ya viejo?(E) Genèse 18:12 Elle rit en elle-même, en disant: Maintenant que je suis vieille, aurais-je encore des désirs? Mon seigneur aussi est vieux.(F) Gen 18:12 Darum lachte sie bei sich selbst und sprach: Nun ich alt bin, soll ich noch Wollust pflegen, und mein Herr ist auch alt?(D) Gen 18:12 ἐγέλασεν δὲ Σαρρα ἐν ἑαυτῇ λέγουσα οὔπω μέν μοι γέγονεν ἕως τοῦ νῦν ὁ δὲ κύριός μου πρεσβύτερος(lxx) Gen 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:13 ============ Gen 18:13 And the Lord said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?'(nasb) Gen 18:13 Dixit autem Dominus ad Abraham: Quare risit Sara, dicens: Num vere paritura sum anus?(vulgate) Génesis 18:13 Entonces Jehová dijo a Abraham: ¿Por qué se ha reído Sara diciendo: Será cierto que he de dar a luz siendo ya vieja?(E) Genèse 18:13 L'Eternel dit à Abraham: Pourquoi donc Sara a-t-elle ri, en disant: Est-ce que vraiment j'aurais un enfant, moi qui suis vieille?(F) Gen 18:13 Da sprach der HERR zu Abraham: Warum lacht Sara und spricht: Meinst du, das es wahr sei, daß ich noch gebären werde, so ich doch alt bin?(D) Gen 18:13 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Αβρααμ τί ὅτι ἐγέλασεν Σαρρα ἐν ἑαυτῇ λέγουσα ἆρά γε ἀληθῶς τέξομαι ἐγὼ δὲ γεγήρακα(lxx) Gen 18:13 And the Lord said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?'(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:14 ============ Gen 18:14 Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."(nasb) Gen 18:14 Numquid Deo quidquam est difficile? juxta condictum revertar ad te hoc eodem tempore, vita comite, et habebit Sara filium.(vulgate) Génesis 18:14 ¿Hay para Dios alguna cosa difícil? Al tiempo señalado volveré a ti, según el tiempo de la vida, y Sara tendrá un hijo.(E) Genèse 18:14 Y a-t-il rien qui soit étonnant de la part de l'Eternel? Au temps fixé je reviendrai vers toi, à cette même époque; et Sara aura un fils.(F) Gen 18:14 Sollte dem HERRN etwas unmöglich sein? Um diese Zeit will ich wieder zu dir kommen über ein Jahr, so soll Sara einen Sohn haben.(D) Gen 18:14 μὴ ἀδυνατεῖ παρὰ τῷ θεῷ ῥῆμα εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον ἀναστρέψω πρὸς σὲ εἰς ὥρας καὶ ἔσται τῇ Σαρρα υἱός(lxx) Gen 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:15 ============ Gen 18:15 Sarah denied it however, saying, "I did not laugh"; for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh."(nasb) Gen 18:15 Negabit Sara, dicens: Non risi, timore perterrita. Dominus autem: Non est, inquit, ita: sed risisti.~(vulgate) Génesis 18:15 Entonces Sara negó diciendo: No me reí; porque tuvo miedo. Y él dijo: No es así, sino que te has reído.(E) Genèse 18:15 Sara mentit, en disant: Je n'ai pas ri. Car elle eut peur. Mais il dit: Au contraire, tu as ri.(F) Gen 18:15 Da leugnete Sara und sprach: Ich habe nicht gelacht; denn sie fürchtete sich. Aber er sprach: Es ist nicht also; du hast gelacht.(D) Gen 18:15 ἠρνήσατο δὲ Σαρρα λέγουσα οὐκ ἐγέλασα ἐφοβήθη γάρ καὶ εἶπεν οὐχί ἀλλὰ ἐγέλασας(lxx) Gen 18:15 But Sarah denied it, saying, "I did not laugh," for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh!"(nkjv) ======= Genesis 18:16 ============ Gen 18:16 Then the men rose up from there, and looked down toward Sodom; and Abraham was walking with them to send them off.(nasb) Gen 18:16 Cum ergo surrexissent inde viri, direxerunt oculos contra Sodomam: et Abraham simul gradiebatur, deducens eos.(vulgate) Génesis 18:16 Y los varones se levantaron de allí, y miraron hacia Sodoma: y Abraham iba con ellos acompañándolos.(E) Genèse 18:16 Ces hommes se levèrent pour partir, et ils regardèrent du côté de Sodome. And He said, "I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there."(nasb) Gen 18:28 Quid si minus quinquaginta justis quinque fuerint? delebis, propter quadraginta quinque, universam urbem? Et ait: Non delebo, si invenero ibi quadraginta quinque.(vulgate) Génesis 18:28 Quizá faltarán de cincuenta justos cinco: ¿destruirás por aquellos cinco toda la ciudad?
