Today's Date: ======= Exodus 21:1 ============ Exo 21:1 "Now these are the ordinances which you are to set before them:(nasb) Exo 21:1 Hæc sunt judicia quæ propones eis.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:1 Y éstos son los decretos que les propondrás.(E) Exode 21:1 Voici les lois que tu leur présenteras.(F) Exo 21:1 Dies sind die Rechte, die du ihnen sollst vorlegen:(D) Exo 21:1 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ δικαιώματα ἃ παραθήσεις ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν(lxx) Exo 21:1 "Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them:(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:2 ============ Exo 21:2 "If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment.(nasb) Exo 21:2 Si emeris servum hebræum, sex annis serviet tibi: in septimo egredietur liber gratis.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:2 Si comprares siervo hebreo, seis años servirá; mas al séptimo saldrá libre de balde.(E) Exode 21:2 Si tu achètes un esclave hébreu, il servira six années; mais la septième, il sortira libre, sans rien payer.(F) Exo 21:2 So du einen hebräischen Knecht kaufst, der soll dir sechs Jahre dienen; im siebenten Jahr soll er frei ausgehen umsonst.(D) Exo 21:2 ἐὰν κτήσῃ παῖδα Εβραῖον ἓξ ἔτη δουλεύσει σοι τῷ δὲ ἑβδόμῳ ἔτει ἀπελεύσεται ἐλεύθερος δωρεάν(lxx) Exo 21:2 If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:3 ============ Exo 21:3 If he comes alone, he shall go out alone; if he is the husband of a wife, then his wife shall go out with him.(nasb) Exo 21:3 Cum quali veste intraverit, cum tali exeat: si habens uxorem, et uxor egredietur simul.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:3 Si entró solo, solo saldrá; si estaba casado, saldrá él y su esposa con él.(E) Exode 21:3 S'il est entré seul, il sortira seul; s'il avait une femme, sa femme sortira avec lui.(F) Exo 21:3 Ist er ohne Weib gekommen, so soll er auch ohne Weib ausgehen; ist er aber mit Weib gekommen, so soll sein Weib mit ihm ausgehen.(D) Exo 21:3 ἐὰν αὐτὸς μόνος εἰσέλθῃ καὶ μόνος ἐξελεύσεται ἐὰν δὲ γυνὴ συνεισέλθῃ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ ἡ γυνὴ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Exo 21:3 If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:4 ============ Exo 21:4 If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall belong to her master, and he shall go out alone.(nasb) Exo 21:4 Sin autem dominus dederit illi uxorem, et pepererit filios et filias: mulier et liberi ejus erunt domini sui, ipse vero exibit cum vestitu suo.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:4 Si su amo le hubiere dado esposa, y ella le hubiere dado a luz hijos o hijas, la esposa y sus hijos serán de su amo, y él saldrá solo.(E) Exode 21:4 Si c'est son maître qui lui a donné une femme, et qu'il en ait eu des fils ou des filles, la femme et ses enfants seront à son maître, et il sortira seul.(F) Exo 21:4 Hat ihm aber sein Herr ein Weib gegeben, und er hat Söhne oder Töchter gezeugt, so soll das Weib und die Kinder seines Herrn sein, er aber soll ohne Weib ausgehen.(D) Exo 21:4 ἐὰν δὲ ὁ κύριος δῷ αὐτῷ γυναῖκα καὶ τέκῃ αὐτῷ υἱοὺς ἢ θυγατέρας ἡ γυνὴ καὶ τὰ παιδία ἔσται τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς δὲ μόνος ἐξελεύσεται(lxx) Exo 21:4 If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:5 ============ Exo 21:5 But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,'(nasb) Exo 21:5 Quod si dixerit servus: Diligo dominum meum et uxorem ac liberos; non egrediar liber:(vulgate) Éxodo 21:5 Y si el siervo dijere: Yo amo a mi señor, a mi esposa y a mis hijos, no saldré libre:(E) Exode 21:5 Si l'esclave dit: J'aime mon maître, ma femme et mes enfants, je ne veux pas sortir libre, -(F) Exo 21:5 Spricht aber der Knecht: Ich habe meinen Herren lieb und mein Weib und Kind, ich will nicht frei werden,(D) Exo 21:5 ἐὰν δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἴπῃ ὁ παῖς ἠγάπηκα τὸν κύριόν μου καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα καὶ τὰ παιδία οὐκ ἀποτρέχω ἐλεύθερος(lxx) Exo 21:5 But if the servant plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,'(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:6 ============ Exo 21:6 then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him permanently.(nasb) Exo 21:6 offeret eum dominus diis, et applicabitur ad ostium et postes, perforabitque aurem ejus subula: et erit ei servus in sæculum.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:6 Entonces su amo lo traerá ante los jueces; y lo traerá a la puerta o al poste; y su amo le horadará la oreja con lezna, y será su siervo para siempre.(E) Exode 21:6 alors son maître le conduira devant Dieu, et le fera approcher de la porte ou du poteau, et son maître lui percera l'oreille avec un poinçon, et l'esclave sera pour toujours à son service.(F) Exo 21:6 so bringe ihn sein Herr vor die "Götter" und halte ihn an die Tür oder den Pfosten und bohre ihm mit einem Pfriem durch sein Ohr, und er sei sein Knecht ewig.(D) Exo 21:6 προσάξει αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸ κριτήριον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τότε προσάξει αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν ἐπὶ τὸν σταθμόν καὶ τρυπήσει αὐτοῦ ὁ κύριος τὸ οὖς τῷ ὀπητίῳ καὶ δουλεύσει αὐτῷ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα(lxx) Exo 21:6 then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:7 ============ Exo 21:7 "If a man sells his daughter as a female slave, she is not to go free as the male slaves do.(nasb) Exo 21:7 Si quis vendiderit filiam suam in famulam, non egredietur sicut ancillæ exire consueverunt.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:7 Y cuando alguno vendiere su hija por sierva, no saldrá ella como suelen salir los siervos.(E) Exode 21:7 Si un homme vend sa fille pour être esclave, elle ne sortira point comme sortent les esclaves.(F) Exo 21:7 Verkauft jemand sein Tochter zur Magd, so soll sie nicht ausgehen wie die Knechte.(D) Exo 21:7 ἐὰν δέ τις ἀποδῶται τὴν ἑαυτοῦ θυγατέρα οἰκέτιν οὐκ ἀπελεύσεται ὥσπερ ἀποτρέχουσιν αἱ δοῦλαι(lxx) Exo 21:7 "And if a man sells his daughter to be a female slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:8 ============ Exo 21:8 If she is displeasing in the eyes of her master who designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He does not have authority to sell her to a foreign people because of his unfairness to her.(nasb) Exo 21:8 Si displicuerit oculis domini sui cui tradita fuerat, dimittet eam: populo autem alieno vendendi non habebit potestatem, si spreverit eam.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:8 Si no agradare a su señor, por lo cual no la tomó por esposa, le permitirá que sea redimida, y no la podrá vender a pueblo extraño cuando la desechare.(E) Exode 21:8 Si elle déplaît à son maître, qui s'était proposé de la prendre pour femme, il facilitera son rachat; mais il n'aura pas le pouvoir de la vendre à des étrangers, après lui avoir été infidèle.(F) Exo 21:8 Gefällt sie aber ihrem Herrn nicht und will er sie nicht zur Ehe nehmen, so soll er sie zu lösen geben. Aber unter ein fremdes Volk sie zu verkaufen hat er nicht Macht, weil er sie verschmäht hat.(D) Exo 21:8 ἐὰν μὴ εὐαρεστήσῃ τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτῆς ἣν αὑτῷ καθωμολογήσατο ἀπολυτρώσει αὐτήν ἔθνει δὲ ἀλλοτρίῳ οὐ κύριός ἐστιν πωλεῖν αὐτήν ὅτι ἠθέτησεν ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Exo 21:8 If she does not please her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt deceitfully with her.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:9 ============ Exo 21:9 If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with ihr tun.(D) Exo 21:9 ἐὰν δὲ τῷ υἱῷ καθομολογήσηται αὐτήν κατὰ τὸ δικαίωμα τῶν θυγατέρων ποιήσει αὐτῇ(lxx) Exo 21:9 And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her according to the custom of daughters.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:10 ============ Exo 21:10 If he takes to himself another woman, he may not reduce her food, her clothing, or her conjugal rights.(nasb) Exo 21:10 Quod si alteram ei acceperit, providebit puellæ nuptias, et vestimenta, et pretium pudicitiæ non negabit.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:10 Si le tomare otra, no disminuirá su alimento, ni su vestido, ni el deber conyugal.(E) Exode 21:10 S'il prend une autre femme, il ne retranchera rien pour la première à la nourriture, au vêtement, et au droit conjugal.(F) Exo 21:10 Gibt er ihm aber noch eine andere, so soll er an ihrer Nahrung, Kleidung und Eheschuld nichts abbrechen.(D) Exo 21:10 ἐὰν δὲ ἄλλην λάβῃ ἑαυτῷ τὰ δέοντα καὶ τὸν ἱματισμὸν καὶ τὴν ὁμιλίαν αὐτῆς οὐκ ἀποστερήσει(lxx) Exo 21:10 If he takes another wife, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marriage rights.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:11 ============ Exo 21:11 If he will not do these three things for her, then she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.(nasb) Exo 21:11 Si tria ista non fecerit, egredietur gratis absque pecunia.~(vulgate) Éxodo 21:11 Y si ninguna de estas tres cosas hiciere, ella saldrá de gracia sin dinero.(E) Exode 21:11 Et s'il ne fait pas pour elle ces trois choses, elle pourra sortir sans rien payer, sans donner de l'argent.(F) Exo 21:11 Tut er diese drei nicht, so soll sie frei ausgehen ohne Lösegeld.(D) Exo 21:11 ἐὰν δὲ τὰ τρία ταῦτα μὴ ποιήσῃ αὐτῇ ἐξελεύσεται δωρεὰν ἄνευ ἀργυρίου(lxx) Exo 21:11 And if he does not do these three for her, then she shall go out free, without paying money.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:12 ============ Exo 21:12 "He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death.(nasb) Exo 21:12 Qui percusserit hominem volens occidere, morte moriatur.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:12 El que hiriere a alguno, haciéndole así morir, él morirá.(E) Exode 21:12 Celui qui frappera un homme mortellement sera puni de mort.(F) Exo 21:12 Wer einen Menschen schlägt, daß er stirbt, der soll des Todes sterben.(D) Exo 21:12 ἐὰν δὲ πατάξῃ τίς τινα καὶ ἀποθάνῃ θανάτῳ θανατούσθω(lxx) Exo 21:12 "He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:13 ============ Exo 21:13 But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint you a place to which he may flee.(nasb) Exo 21:13 Qui autem non est insidiatus, sed Deus illum tradidit in manus ejus, constituam tibi locum in quem fugere debeat.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:13 Mas el que no armó asechanzas, sino que Dios lo puso en sus manos, entonces yo te señalaré lugar al cual ha de huir.(E) Exode 21:13 S'il ne lui a point dressé d'embûches, et que Dieu l'ait fait tomber sous sa main, je t'établirai un lieu où il pourra se réfugier.(F) Exo 21:13 Hat er ihm aber nicht nachgestellt, sondern Gott hat ihn lassen ungefähr in seine Hände fallen, so will ich dir einen Ort bestimmen, dahin er fliehen soll.(D) Exo 21:13 ὁ δὲ οὐχ ἑκών ἀλλὰ ὁ θεὸς παρέδωκεν εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ δώσω σοι τόπον οὗ φεύξεται ἐκεῖ ὁ φονεύσας(lxx) Exo 21:13 However, if he did not lie in wait, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:14 ============ Exo 21:14 If, however, a man acts presumptuously toward his neighbor, so as to kill him craftily, you are to take him even from My altar, that he may die.(nasb) Exo 21:14 Si quis per industriam occiderit proximum suum, et per insidias: ab altari meo evelles eum, ut moriatur.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:14 Además, si alguno se ensoberbeciere contra su prójimo, y lo matare con alevosía, de mi altar lo quitarás para que muera.(E) Exode 21:14 Mais si quelqu'un agit méchamment contre son prochain, en employant la ruse pour le tuer, tu l'arracheras même de mon autel, pour le faire mourir.(F) Exo 21:14 Wo aber jemand seinem Nächsten frevelt und ihn mit List erwürgt, so sollst du denselben von meinem Altar nehmen, daß man ihn töte.(D) Exo 21:14 ἐὰν δέ τις ἐπιθῆται τῷ πλησίον ἀποκτεῖναι αὐτὸν δόλῳ καὶ καταφύγῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου μου λήμψῃ αὐτὸν θανατῶσαι(lxx) Exo 21:14 "But if a man acts with premeditation against his neighbor, to kill him by treachery, you shall take him from My altar, that he may die.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:15 ============ Exo 21:15 "He who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to manos, morirá.(E) Exode 21:16 Celui qui dérobera un homme, et qui l'aura vendu ou retenu entre ses mains, sera puni de mort.(F) Exo 21:16 Wer einen Menschen stiehlt, es sei, daß er ihn verkauft oder he who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:18 ============ Exo 21:18 "If men have a quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but remains in bed,(nasb) Exo 21:18 Si rixati fuerint viri, et percusserit alter proximum suum lapide vel pugno, et ille mortuus non fuerit, sed jacuerit in lectulo:(vulgate) Éxodo 21:18 Además, si algunos riñeren, y alguno hiriere a su prójimo con piedra o con el puño, y no muriere, pero cayere en cama;(E) Exode 21:18 Si des hommes se querellent, et que l'un d'eux frappe l'autre avec une pierre ou avec le poing, sans causer sa mort, mais en l'obligeant à garder le lit,(F) Exo 21:18 Wenn Männer mit einander hadern und einer schlägt den andern mit einem Stein oder mit einer Faust, daß er nicht stirbt, sondern zu Bette liegt:(D) Exo 21:18 ἐὰν δὲ λοιδορῶνται δύο ἄνδρες καὶ πατάξῃ τις τὸν πλησίον λίθῳ ἢ πυγμῇ καὶ μὴ ἀποθάνῃ κατακλιθῇ δὲ ἐπὶ τὴν κοίτην(lxx) Exo 21:18 "If men contend with each other, and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but is confined to his bed,(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:19 ============ Exo 21:19 if he gets up and walks around outside on his staff, then he who struck him shall go unpunished; he shall only pay for his loss of time, and shall take care of him until he is completely healed.(nasb) Exo 21:19 si surrexerit, et ambulaverit foris super baculum suum, innocens erit qui percusserit, ita tamen ut operas ejus et impensas in medicos restituat.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:19 si se levantare y anduviere fuera sobre su báculo, entonces el que le hirió será absuelto; solamente le compensará por el tiempo perdido, y hará que le curen.(E) Exode 21:19 celui qui aura frappé ne sera point puni, dans le cas où l'autre viendrait à se lever et à se promener dehors avec son bâton. Seulement, il le dédommagera de son interruption de travail, et il le fera soigner jusqu'à sa guérison.(F) Exo 21:19 kommt er auf, daß er ausgeht an seinem Stabe, so soll, der ihn schlug, unschuldig sein, nur daß er ihm bezahle, was er versäumt hat, und das Arztgeld gebe.(D) Exo 21:19 ἐὰν ἐξαναστὰς ὁ ἄνθρωπος περιπατήσῃ ἔξω ἐπὶ ῥάβδου ἀθῷος ἔσται ὁ πατάξας πλὴν τῆς ἀργίας αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει καὶ τὰ ἰατρεῖα(lxx) Exo 21:19 if he rises again and walks about outside with his staff, then he who struck him shall be acquitted. He shall only pay for the loss of his time, and shall provide for him to be thoroughly healed.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:20 ============ Exo 21:20 "If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished.(nasb) Exo 21:20 Qui percusserit servum suum, vel ancillam virga, et mortui fuerint in manibus ejus, criminis reus erit.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:20 Y si alguno hiriere a su siervo o a su sierva con palo, y muriere bajo de su mano, será castigado:(E) Exode 21:20 Si un homme frappe du bâton son esclave, homme ou femme, et que l'esclave meure sous sa main, le maître sera puni.(F) Exo 21:20 Wer seinen Knecht oder seine Magd schlägt mit einem Stabe, daß sie sterben unter seinen Händen, der soll darum gestraft werden.(D) Exo 21:20 ἐὰν δέ τις πατάξῃ τὸν παῖδα αὐτοῦ ἢ τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ ἐν ῥάβδῳ καὶ ἀποθάνῃ ὑπὸ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ δίκῃ ἐκδικηθήτω(lxx) Exo 21:20 "And if a man beats his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:21 ============ Exo 21:21 If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property.(nasb) Exo 21:21 Sin autem uno die vel duobus supervixerit, non subjacebit pœnæ, quia pecunia illius est.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:21 Mas si durare por un día o dos, no será castigado, porque su dinero es.(E) Exode 21:21 Mais s'il survit un jour ou deux, le maître ne sera point puni; car c'est son argent.(F) Exo 21:21 Bleibt er aber einen oder zwei Tage am Leben, so soll er darum nicht gestraft werden; denn es ist sein Geld.(D) Exo 21:21 ἐὰν δὲ διαβιώσῃ ἡμέραν μίαν ἢ δύο οὐκ ἐκδικηθήσεται τὸ γὰρ ἀργύριον αὐτοῦ ἐστιν(lxx) Exo 21:21 Notwithstanding, if he remains alive a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 21:22 ============ Exo 21:22 "If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide.(nasb) Exo 21:22 Si rixati fuerint viri, et percusserit quis mulierem prægnantem, et abortivum quidem fecerit, sed ipsa vixerit: subjacebit damno quantum maritus mulieris expetierit, et arbitri judicaverint.(vulgate) Éxodo 21:22 Si algunos riñeren, e hiriesen a mujer embarazada, y ésta abortare, pero sin haber otro daño, será penado conforme a lo que le impusiere el marido de la mujer, y pagará según [determinen] los jueces.(E) Exode 21:22 Si des hommes se querellent, et qu'ils heurtent une femme enceinte, et la fassent accoucher, sans autre accident, ils seront punis d'une amende imposée par le mari de la femme, et qu'ils paieront devant les juges.(F) Exo 21:22 Wenn Männer hadern und verletzen ein schwangeres Weib, daß ihr die Frucht abgeht, und ihr kein Schade widerfährt, so soll man ihn um Geld strafen, wieviel des Weibes Mann ihm auflegt, und er soll's geben nach der Schiedsrichter δώσει μετὰ ἀξιώματος(lxx) Exo 21:22 "If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman's husband προσαποθανεῖται(lxx) Exo 21:29 But if the ox tended to thrust with its horn in times past, and it has been made known to his owner, and he has not kept it confined, so that it has killed a man or a
