He shall surely make restitution; if he owns nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.(nasb) Exo 22:3 Quod si orto sole hoc fecerit, homicidium perpetravit, et ipse morietur. Si non habuerit quod pro furto reddat, ipse venundabitur.(vulgate) Éxodo 22:3 Y si el sol ya había salido sobre él; el matador será reo de homicidio. El ladrón hará completa restitución; si no tuviere con qué, será vendido por su hurto.(E) Exode 22:3 mais si le soleil est levé, on sera coupable de meurtre envers lui. Es soll aber ein Dieb wiedererstatten; hat er nichts, so verkaufe man ihn um seinen Diebstahl.(D) Exo 22:3 ἐὰν δὲ ἀνατείλῃ ὁ ἥλιος ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἔνοχός ἐστιν ἀνταποθανεῖται ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὑπάρχῃ αὐτῷ πραθήτω ἀντὶ τοῦ κλέμματος(lxx) Exo 22:3 If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:4 ============ Exo 22:4 If what he stole is actually found alive in his possession, whether an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he shall pay double.(nasb) Exo 22:4 Si inventum fuerit apud eum quod furatus est, vivens: sive bos, sive asinus, sive ovis, duplum restituet.~(vulgate) Éxodo 22:4 Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, sea buey o asno u oveja vivos, pagará el doble.(E) Exode 22:4 si ce qu'il a dérobé, boeuf, âne, ou agneau, se trouve encore vivant entre ses mains, il fera ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ κλέμμα ἀπό τε ὄνου ἕως προβάτου ζῶντα διπλᾶ αὐτὰ ἀποτείσει(lxx) Exo 22:4 If the theft is certainly found alive in his hand, whether it is an ox or donkey or sheep, he shall restore double.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:5 ============ Exo 22:5 "If a man lets a field or vineyard be grazed bare and lets his animal loose so that it grazes in another man's field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field and the best of his own vineyard.(nasb) Exo 22:5 Si læserit quispiam agrum vel vineam, et dimiserit jumentum suum ut depascatur aliena: quidquid optimum habuerit in agro suo, vel in vinea, pro damni æstimatione restituet.(vulgate) Éxodo 22:5 Si alguno hiciere pacer campo o viña, y metiere su bestia, y comiere la tierra de otro, de lo mejor de su tierra y de lo mejor de su viña, pagará restitución.(E) Exode 22:5 Si un homme fait du dégât dans un champ ou dans une vigne, et qu'il laisse son bétail paître dans le champ d'autrui, il donnera en dédommagement le meilleur produit de son champ et de sa vigne.(F) Exo 22:5 Wenn jemand einen Acker oder Weinberg beschädigt, daß er sein Vieh läßt Schaden tun in eines andern Acker, der soll von dem Besten auf seinem Acker und Weinberg wiedererstatten.(D) Exo 22:5 ἐὰν δὲ καταβοσκήσῃ τις ἀγρὸν ἢ ἀμπελῶνα καὶ ἀφῇ τὸ κτῆνος αὐτοῦ καταβοσκῆσαι ἀγρὸν ἕτερον ἀποτείσει ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὸ γένημα αὐτοῦ ἐὰν δὲ πάντα τὸν ἀγρὸν καταβοσκήσῃ τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει(lxx) Exo 22:5 "If a man causes a field or vineyard to be grazed, and lets loose his animal, and it feeds in another man's field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field and the best of his own vineyard.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:6 ============ Exo 22:6 "If a fire breaks out and spreads to thorn bushes, so that stacked grain or the standing grain or the field itself is consumed, he who started the fire shall surely make restitution.(nasb) Exo 22:6 Si egressus ignis invenerit spinas, et comprehenderit acervos frugum, sive stantes segetes in agris, reddet damnum qui ignem succenderit.(vulgate) Éxodo 22:6 Cuando un fuego se extendiere y tomare espinas, y quemare gavillas amontonadas, o en pie, o campo, el que encendió el fuego pagará lo quemado.(E) Exode 22:6 Si un feu éclate et rencontre des épines, et que du blé en gerbes ou sur pied, ou bien le champ, soit consumé, celui qui a causé l'incendie sera tenu à un dédommagement.(F) Exo 22:6 Wenn ein Feuer auskommt und ergreift die Dornen und verbrennt die Garben oder Getreide, das noch steht, oder den Acker, so soll der wiedererstatten, der das Feuer angezündet hat.(D) Exo 22:6 ἐὰν δὲ ἐξελθὸν πῦρ εὕρῃ ἀκάνθας καὶ προσεμπρήσῃ ἅλωνα ἢ στάχυς ἢ πεδίον ἀποτείσει ὁ τὸ πῦρ ἐκκαύσας(lxx) Exo 22:6 "If fire breaks out and catches in thorns, so that stacked grain, standing grain, or the field is consumed, he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:7 ============ Exo 22:7 "If a man gives his neighbor money or goods to keep for him and it is stolen from the man's house, if the thief is caught, he shall pay double.(nasb) Exo 22:7 Si quis commendaverit amico pecuniam aut vas in custodiam, et ab eo, qui susceperat, furto ablata fuerint: si invenitur fur, duplum reddet:(vulgate) Éxodo 22:7 Cuando alguno diere a su prójimo plata o alhajas a guardar, y fuere hurtado de la casa de aquel hombre, si el ladrón se hallare, pagará el doble.(E) Exode 22:7 Si un homme donne à un autre de l'argent ou des objets à garder, et qu'on les vole dans la maison de ce dernier, le voleur fera une restitution au double, dans le cas où il serait trouvé.(F) Exo 22:7 Wenn jemand seinem Nächsten Geld oder Geräte zu bewahren gibt, und es wird demselben aus seinem Hause gestohlen: findet man den Dieb, so soll er's zwiefältig wiedergeben;(D) Exo 22:7 ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ἀργύριον ἢ σκεύη φυλάξαι καὶ κλαπῇ ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐὰν εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν(lxx) Exo 22:7 "If a man delivers to his neighbor money or articles to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:8 ============ Exo 22:8 If the thief is not caught, then the owner of the house shall appear before the judges, to determine whether he laid his hands on his neighbor's property.(nasb) Exo 22:8 si latet fur, dominus domus applicabitur ad deos, et jurabit quod non extenderit manum in rem proximi sui,(vulgate) Éxodo 22:8 Si el ladrón no se hallare, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado a los jueces, para ver si ha metido su mano en la hacienda de su prójimo.(E) Exode 22:8 Si le voleur ne se trouve pas, le maître de la maison se présentera devant Dieu, pour déclarer qu'il n'a pas mis la main sur le bien de son prochain.(F) Exo 22:8 findet man aber den Dieb nicht, so soll man den Hauswirt vor die "Götter" bringen, ob er nicht seine Hand habe an seines Nächsten Habe gelegt.(D) Exo 22:8 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας προσελεύσεται ὁ κύριος τῆς οἰκίας ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ὀμεῖται ἦ μὴν μὴ αὐτὸς πεπονηρεῦσθαι ἐφ᾽ ὅλης τῆς παρακαταθήκης τοῦ πλησίον(lxx) Exo 22:8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor's goods.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:9 ============ Exo 22:9 For every breach of trust, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any lost thing about which one says, 'This is it,' the case of both parties shall come before the judges; he whom the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.(nasb) Exo 22:9 ad perpetrandam fraudem, tam in bove quam in asino, et ove ac vestimento, et quidquid damnum inferre potest: ad deos utriusque causa perveniet, et si illi judicaverit, duplum restituet proximo suo.(vulgate) Éxodo 22:9 Sobre todo asunto de fraude, sobre buey, sobre asno, sobre oveja, sobre vestido o sobre cualquier cosa perdida, cuando uno dijere: Esto es mío, la causa de ambos será traída ante los jueces; y aquel a quien los jueces condenaren, pagará el doble a su prójimo.(E) Exode 22:9 Dans toute affaire frauduleuse concernant un boeuf, un âne, un agneau, un vêtement, ou un objet perdu, au sujet duquel on dira: C'est cela! -la cause des deux parties ira jusqu'à Dieu; celui que Dieu condamnera fera à son prochain une restitution au double.(F) Exo 22:9 Wo einer den andern beschuldigt um irgend ein Unrecht, es sei um Ochsen oder Esel oder Schaf oder Kleider oder allerlei, das verloren ist, so soll beider Sache vor die "Götter" kommen. Welchen die "Götter" verdammen, der soll's zwiefältig seinem Nächsten wiedergeben.(D) Exo 22:9 κατὰ πᾶν ῥητὸν ἀδίκημα περί τε μόσχου καὶ ὑποζυγίου καὶ προβάτου καὶ ἱματίου καὶ πάσης ἀπωλείας τῆς ἐγκαλουμένης ὅ τι οὖν ἂν ᾖ ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐλεύσεται ἡ κρίσις ἀμφοτέρων καὶ ὁ ἁλοὺς διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν τῷ πλησίον(lxx) Exo 22:9 "For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:10 ============ Exo 22:10 "If a man gives his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep for him, and it dies or is hurt or is driven away while no one is looking,(nasb) Exo 22:10 Si quis commendaverit proximo suo asinum, bovem, ovem, et omne jumentum ad custodiam, et mortuum fuerit, aut debilitatum, vel captum ab hostibus, nullusque hoc viderit:(vulgate) Éxodo 22:10 Si alguno hubiere dado a su prójimo asno, o buey, u oveja, o cualquier otro animal a guardar, y se muriere o se perniquebrare, o fuere llevado sin verlo nadie;(E) Exode 22:10 Si un homme donne à un autre un âne, un boeuf, un agneau, ou un animal quelconque à garder, et que l'animal meure, se casse un membre, ou soit enlevé, sans que personne l'ait vu,(F) Exo 22:10 Wenn jemand seinem Nächsten einen Esel oder Ochsen oder ein Schaf oder irgend ein Vieh zu bewahren gibt, und es stirbt ihm oder wird beschädigt oder wird ihm weggetrieben, daß es niemand sieht,(D) Exo 22:10 ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ὑποζύγιον ἢ μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἢ πᾶν κτῆνος φυλάξαι καὶ συντριβῇ ἢ τελευτήσῃ ἢ αἰχμάλωτον γένηται καὶ μηδεὶς γνῷ(lxx) Exo 22:10 If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies, is hurt, or driven away, no one seeing it,(nkjv) ======= Exodus 22:11 ============ Exo 22:11 an oath before the Lord shall be made by the two of them that he has not laid hands on his neighbor's property;
