Le camp de Madian était au nord de Gédéon, vers la colline de Moré, dans la vallée.(F) Jdg 7:1 Da machte sich Jerubbaal, das ist Gideon, früh auf und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und lagerten sich an den Brunnen Harod, daß er das Heer der Midianiter hatte gegen Mitternacht vom dem Hügel More im Grund.(D) Jdg 7:1 καὶ ὤρθρισεν Ιαρβαλ αὐτός ἐστιν Γεδεων καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ πηγὴν Αραδ καὶ παρεμβολὴ Μαδιαμ ἦν αὐτῷ ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ἀπὸ Γαβααθ Αμωρα ἐν κοιλάδι(lxx) Jdg 7:1 Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the well of Harod, so that the camp of the Midianites was on the north side of them by the hill of Moreh in the valley.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:2 ============ Jdg 7:2 The Lord said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, 'My own power has delivered me.'(nasb) Jdg 7:2 Dixitque Dominus ad Gedeon: Multus tecum est populus, nec tradetur Madian in manus ejus: ne glorietur contra me Israël, et dicat: Meis viribus liberatus sum.(vulgate) Jueces 7:2 Y Jehová dijo a Gedeón: El pueblo que está contigo es mucho para que yo dé a los madianitas en su mano; no sea que se alabe Israel contra mí, diciendo: Mi mano me ha salvado.(E) Juges 7:2 L'Eternel dit à Gédéon: Le peuple que tu as avec toi est trop nombreux pour que je livre Madian entre ses mains; il pourrait en tirer gloire contre moi, et dire: C'est ma main qui m'a délivré.(F) Jdg 7:2 Der HERR aber sprach zu Gideon: Des Volks ist zu viel, das mit dir ist, daß ich sollte Midian in ihre Hände geben; Israel möchte sich rühmen wider mich und sagen: Meine Hand hat mich erlöst.(D) Jdg 7:2 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων πολὺς ὁ λαὸς ὁ μετὰ σοῦ ὥστε μὴ παραδοῦναί με τὴν Μαδιαμ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτῶν μήποτε καυχήσηται Ισραηλ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ λέγων ἡ χείρ μου ἔσωσέν με(lxx) Jdg 7:2 And the Lord said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, 'My own hand has saved me.'(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:3 ============ Jdg 7:3 Now therefore come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, 'Whoever is afraid and trembling, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.'" So 22,000 people returned, but 10,000 remained.(nasb) Jdg 7:3 Loquere ad populum, et cunctis audientibus prædica: Qui formidolosus et timidus est, revertatur. Recesseruntque de monte Galaad, et reversi sunt de populo viginti duo millia virorum, et tantum decem millia remanserunt.(vulgate) Jueces 7:3 Ahora, pues, haz pregonar, que lo oiga el pueblo, diciendo: El que teme y se estremece, madrugue y vuélvase desde el monte de Galaad. Y se volvieron de los del pueblo veintidós mil; y quedaron diez mil.(E) Juges 7:3 Publie donc ceci aux oreilles du peuple: Que celui qui est craintif et qui a peur s'en retourne et s'éloigne de la montagne de Galaad. Vingt-deux mille hommes parmi le peuple s'en retournèrent, et il en resta dix mille.(F) Jdg 7:3 So laß nun ausrufen vor den Ohren des Volks und sagen: Wer blöde und verzagt ist, der kehre um und hebe sich alsbald vom Gebirge Gilead. Da kehrten des Volks um bei zweiundzwanzigtausend, daß nur zehntausend übrigblieben.(D) Jdg 7:3 καὶ νῦν λάλησον δὴ ἐν ὠσὶν τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων τίς ὁ φοβούμενος καὶ δειλός ἐπιστρεφέτω καὶ ἐκχωρείτω ἀπὸ ὄρους Γαλααδ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες ὑπελείφθησαν(lxx) Jdg 7:3 Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, 'Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.' " And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:4 ============ Jdg 7:4 Then the Lord said to Gideon, "The people are still too many; bring them down to the water and I will test them for you there. Therefore it shall be that he of whom I say to you, 'This one shall go with you,' he shall go with you; but everyone of whom I say to you, 'This one shall not go with you,' he shall not go."(nasb) Jdg 7:4 Dixitque Dominus ad Gedeon: Adhuc populus multus est: duc eos ad aquas et ibi probabo illos: et de quo dixero tibi ut tecum vadat, ipse pergat; quem ire prohibuero, revertatur.(vulgate) Jueces 7:4 Y Jehová dijo a Gedeón: Aún [es] mucho el pueblo; llévalos a las aguas, y allí yo te los probaré; y será que del que yo te dijere: Vaya éste contigo, irá contigo; mas de cualquiera que yo te dijere: Éste no vaya contigo, el tal no irá.(E) Juges 7:4 L'Eternel dit à Gédéon: Le peuple est encore trop nombreux. Fais-les descendre vers l'eau, et là je t'en ferai le triage; celui dont je te dirai: Que celui-ci aille avec toi, ira avec toi; et celui dont je te dirai: Que celui-ci n'aille pas avec toi, n'ira pas avec toi.(F) Jdg 7:4 Und der HERR sprach zu Gideon: Des Volks ist noch zu viel. Führe sie sie hinab ans Wasser, daselbst will ich sie dir prüfen. Und von welchem ich dir sagen werde, daß er mit dir ziehen soll, der soll mit dir ziehen; von welchem aber ich sagen werde, daß er nicht mit dir ziehen soll, der soll nicht ziehen.(D) Jdg 7:4 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων ἔτι ὁ λαὸς πολύς κατένεγκον αὐτοὺς πρὸς τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐκκαθαρῶ σοι αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ καὶ ἔσται ὃν ἐὰν εἴπω πρὸς σέ οὗτος πορεύσεται σὺν σοί αὐτὸς πορεύσεται σὺν σοί καὶ πᾶν ὃν ἐὰν εἴπω πρὸς σέ οὗτος οὐ πορεύσεται μετὰ σοῦ αὐτὸς οὐ πορεύσεται μετὰ σοῦ(lxx) Jdg 7:4 But the Lord said to Gideon, "The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. Then it will be, that of whom I say to you, 'This one shall go with you,' the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, 'This one shall not go with you,' the same shall not go."(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:5 ============ Jdg 7:5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, "You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels to drink."(nasb) Jdg 7:5 Cumque descendisset populus ad aquas, dixit Dominus ad Gedeon: Qui lingua lambuerint aquas, sicut solent canes lambere, separabis eos seorsum: qui autem curvatis genibus biberint, in altera parte erunt.(vulgate) Jueces 7:5 Entonces llevó el pueblo a las aguas: y Jehová dijo a Gedeón: Cualquiera que lamiere las aguas con su lengua como lame el perro, aquél pondrás aparte; asimismo cualquiera que se doblare sobre sus rodillas para beber.(E) Juges 7:5 Gédéon fit descendre le peuple vers l'eau, et l'Eternel dit à Gédéon: Tous ceux qui laperont l'eau avec la langue comme lape le chien, tu les sépareras de tous ceux qui se mettront à genoux pour boire.(F) Jdg 7:5 Und er führte das Volk hinab ans Wasser. Und der HERR sprach zu Gideon: Wer mit seiner Zunge Wasser leckt, wie ein Hund leckt, den stelle besonders; des gleichen wer auf seine Kniee fällt, zu trinken.(D) Jdg 7:5 καὶ κατήνεγκεν τὸν λαὸν πρὸς τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων πᾶς ὃς ἂν λάψῃ τῇ γλώσσῃ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος ὡς ἐὰν λάψῃ ὁ κύων στήσεις αὐτὸν κατὰ μόνας καὶ πᾶς ὃς ἐὰν κλίνῃ ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα αὐτοῦ πιεῖν(lxx) Jdg 7:5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, "Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink."(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:6 ============ Jdg 7:6 Now the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was 300 men; but all the rest of the people kneeled to drink water.(nasb) Jdg 7:6 Fuit itaque numerus eorum qui manu ad os projiciente lambuerunt aquas, trecenti viri: omnis autem reliqua multitudo flexo poplite biberat.(vulgate) Jueces 7:6 Y fue el número de los que lamieron las aguas, llevándola con la mano a la boca, trescientos hombres; y todo el resto del pueblo se dobló sobre sus rodillas para beber las aguas.(E) Juges 7:6 Ceux qui lapèrent l'eau en la portant à la bouche avec leur main furent au nombre de trois cents hommes, et tout le reste du peuple se mit à genoux pour boire.(F) Jdg 7:6 Da war die Zahl derer, die geleckt hatten aus der Hand zum Mund, dreihundert Mann; das andere Volk alles hatte knieend getrunken.(D) Jdg 7:6 καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς τῶν λαψάντων ἐν χειρὶ αὐτῶν πρὸς τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν τριακόσιοι ἄνδρες καὶ πᾶν τὸ κατάλοιπον τοῦ λαοῦ ἔκλιναν ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα αὐτῶν πιεῖν ὕδωρ(lxx) Jdg 7:6 And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:7 ============ Jdg 7:7 The Lord said to Gideon, "I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his home."(nasb) Jdg 7:7 Et ait Dominus ad Gedeon: In trecentis viris qui lambuerunt aquas, liberabo vos, et tradam in manu tua Madian: omnis autem reliqua multitudo revertatur in locum suum.(vulgate) Jueces 7:7 Entonces Jehová dijo a Gedeón: Con estos trescientos hombres que lamieron el agua os salvaré, y entregaré a los madianitas en tus manos; y que se vaya toda la [demás] gente, cada uno a su lugar.(E) Juges 7:7 Et l'Eternel dit à Gédéon: C'est par les trois cents hommes qui ont lapé, que je vous sauverai et que je livrerai Madian entre tes mains. Que tout le reste du peuple s'en aille chacun chez soi.(F) Jdg 7:7 Und der HERR sprach zu Gideon: Durch die dreihundert Mann, die geleckt haben, will ich euch erlösen und die Midianiter in deine Hände geben; aber das andere Volk laß alles gehen an seinen Ort.(D) Jdg 7:7 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Γεδεων ἐν τοῖς τριακοσίοις ἀνδράσιν τοῖς λάψασιν σώσω ὑμᾶς καὶ δώσω τὴν Μαδιαμ ἐν χειρί σου καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς πορεύσονται ἀνὴρ εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jdg 7:7 Then the Lord said to Gideon, "By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place."(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:8 ============ Jdg 7:8 So the 300 men took the people's provisions and their trumpets into their hands. And Gideon sent all the other men of Israel, each to his tent, but retained the 300 men; and the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.(nasb) Jdg 7:8 Sumptis itaque pro numero cibariis et tubis, omnem reliquam multitudinem abire præcepit ad tabernacula sua: et ipse cum trecentis viris se certamini dedit. Castra autem Madian erant subter in valle.~(vulgate) Jueces 7:8 Y tomada provisión para el pueblo en sus manos, y sus trompetas, envió a todos los [demás] israelitas cada uno a su tienda, y retuvo a aquellos trescientos hombres; y tenía el campamento de Madián abajo en el valle.(E) Juges 7:8 On prit les vivres du peuple et ses trompettes. Puis Gédéon renvoya tous les hommes d'Israël chacun dans sa tente, et il retint les trois cents hommes. Le camp de Madian était au-dessous de lui dans la vallée.(F) Jdg 7:8 Und sie nahmen Zehrung für das Volk mit sich und ihre Posaunen. Aber die andern Israeliten ließ er alle gehen, einen jeglichen in seine Hütte; die dreihundert Mann aber behielt er. Und das Heer der Midianiter lag unten vor ihm im Grunde.(D) Jdg 7:8 καὶ ἔλαβον τὸν ἐπισιτισμὸν τοῦ λαοῦ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς κερατίνας αὐτῶν καὶ τὸν πάντα ἄνδρα Ισραηλ ἐξαπέστειλεν ἄνδρα εἰς σκηνὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς τριακοσίους ἄνδρας κατίσχυσεν καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ Μαδιαμ ἦσαν αὐτοῦ ὑποκάτω ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι(lxx) Jdg 7:8 So the people took provisions and their trumpets in their hands. And he sent away all the rest of Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men. Now the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:9 ============ Jdg 7:9 Now the same night it came about that the Lord said to him, "Arise, go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hands.(nasb) Jdg 7:9 Eadem nocte dixit Dominus ad eum: Surge, et descende in castra: quia tradidi eos in manu tua.(vulgate) Jueces 7:9 Y aconteció que aquella noche Jehová le dijo: Levántate, y desciende al campamento; porque yo lo he entregado en tus manos.(E) Juges 7:9 L'Eternel dit à Gédéon pendant la nuit: Lève-toi, descends au camp, car je l'ai livré entre tes mains.(F) Jdg 7:9 Und der HERR sprach in derselben Nacht zu ihm: Stehe auf und gehe hinab zum Lager; denn ich habe es in deine Hände gegeben.(D) Jdg 7:9 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ἐκείνῃ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν κύριος ἀναστὰς κατάβηθι ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ ὅτι παρέδωκα αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ χειρί σου(lxx) Jdg 7:9 It happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, "Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:10 ============ Jdg 7:10 But if you are afraid to go down, go with Purah your servant down to the camp,(nasb) Jdg 7:10 Sin autem solus ire formidas, descendat tecum Phara puer tuus.(vulgate) Jueces 7:10 Y si tienes temor de descender, baja tú al campamento con Fura tu criado,(E) Juges 7:10 Si tu crains de descendre, descends-y avec Pura, ton serviteur.(F) Jdg 7:10 Fürchtest du dich aber hinabzugehen, so laß deinen Diener Pura mit dir hinabgehen zum Lager,(D) Jdg 7:10 καὶ εἰ φοβῇ σὺ καταβῆναι κατάβηθι σὺ καὶ Φαρα τὸ παιδάριόν σου εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν(lxx) Jdg 7:10 But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant,(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:11 ============ Jdg 7:11 and you will hear what they say; and afterward your hands will be strengthened that you may go down against the camp." So he went with Purah his servant down to the outposts of the army that was in the camp.(nasb) Jdg 7:11 Et cum audieris quid loquantur, tunc confortabuntur manus tuæ, et securior ad hostium castra descendes. Descendit ergo ipse et Phara puer ejus in partem castrorum, ubi erant armatorum vigiliæ.(vulgate) Jueces 7:11 y oirás lo que hablan; y entonces tus manos se esforzarán, y descenderás contra el campamento. Da ging Gideon mit seinem Diener Pura hinab vorn an den Ort der Schildwächter, die im Lager waren.(D) Jdg 7:11 καὶ ἀκούσῃ τί λαλήσουσιν καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ἰσχύσουσιν αἱ χεῖρές σου καὶ καταβήσῃ ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ κατέβη αὐτὸς καὶ Φαρα τὸ παιδάριον αὐτοῦ πρὸς ἀρχὴν τῶν πεντήκοντα οἳ ἦσαν ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ(lxx) Jdg 7:11 and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp." Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outpost of the armed men who were in the camp.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:12 ============ Jdg 7:12 Now the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the sons of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.(nasb) Jdg 7:12 Madian autem et Amalec, et omnes orientales populi, fusi jacebant in valle, ut locustarum multitudo: cameli quoque innumerabiles erant, sicut arena quæ jacet in littore maris.(vulgate) Jueces 7:12 Y Madián, y Amalec, y todos los orientales, estaban tendidos en el valle como langostas en muchedumbre, y sus camellos [eran] innumerables, como la arena que está a la ribera del mar en multitud.(E) Juges 7:12 Madian, Amalek, et tous les fils de l'Orient, étaient répandus dans la vallée comme une multitude de sauterelles, et leurs chameaux étaient innombrables comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer.(F) Jdg 7:12 Und die Midianiter und Amalekiter und alle aus dem Morgenland hatten sich niedergelegt im Grunde wie eine große Menge Heuschrecken; und ihre Kamele waren nicht zu zählen vor der Menge wie der Sand am Ufer des Meers.(D) Jdg 7:12 καὶ Μαδιαμ καὶ Αμαληκ καὶ πάντες υἱοὶ ἀνατολῶν βεβλημένοι ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι ὡσεὶ ἀκρὶς εἰς πλῆθος καὶ ταῖς καμήλοις αὐτῶν οὐκ ἦν ἀριθμός ἀλλὰ ἦσαν ὡς ἡ ἄμμος ἡ ἐπὶ χείλους τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς πλῆθος(lxx) Jdg 7:12 Now the Midianites and Amalekites, all the people of the East, were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the seashore in multitude.(nkjv) ======= Judges 7:13 ============ Jdg 7:13 When Gideon came, behold, a man was relating a dream to his friend. And he said, "Behold, I had a dream; a loaf of barley bread was tumbling into the camp of Midian, and it came to the tent and struck it so that it fell, and turned it upside down so that the tent lay flat."(nasb) Jdg 7:13 Cumque venisset Gedeon, narrabat aliquis somnium proximo suo: et in hunc modum referebat quod viderat: Vidi somnium, et videbatur mihi quasi subcinericius panis ex hordeo volvi, et in castra Madian descendere: cumque pervenisset ad tabernaculum, percussit illud, atque subvertit, et terræ funditus coæquavit.(vulgate) Jueces 7:13 Y luego que llegó Gedeón, he aquí que un hombre estaba contando un sueño a su compañero, diciendo: He aquí yo soñé un sueño; y he aquí que vi un pan de cebada que rodó hasta el campamento de Madián, y llegó hasta la tienda y la golpeó de manera que cayó, y la trastornó de arriba abajo, y la tienda quedó tendida.(E) Juges 7:13 Gédéon arriva; et voici, un homme racontait à son camarade un songe. Il disait: J'ai eu un songe; et voici, un gâteau de pain d'orge roulait dans le camp de Madian; il est venu heurter jusqu'à la tente, et elle est tombée; il l'a retournée sens dessus dessous, et elle a été renversée.(F) Jdg 7:13 Da nun Gideon kam, siehe, da erzählte einer einem andern einen Traum und sprach: Siehe, mir hat geträumt: mich deuchte, ein geröstetes Gerstenbrot wälzte sich zum Heer der Midianiter; und da es kam an die Gezelte, schlug es dieselben und warf sie nieder und kehrte sie um, das Oberste zu unterst, daß das Gezelt lag.(D) Jdg 7:13 καὶ ἦλθεν Γεδεων καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἐξηγούμενος τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐνύπνιον καὶ εἶπεν ἐνύπνιον ἰδοὺ ἐνυπνιασάμην καὶ ἰδοὺ μαγὶς ἄρτου κριθίνου στρεφομένη ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ Μαδιαμ καὶ ἦλθεν ἕως τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτήν καὶ ἔπεσεν καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν αὐτὴν ἄνω καὶ ἔπεσεν ἡ σκηνή(lxx) Jdg 7:13 And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion.
