Today's Date: ======= 1 Chronicles 13:1 ============ 1Ch 13:1 Then David consulted with the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, even with every leader.(nasb) 1Ch 13:1 Iniit autem consilium David cum tribunis, et centurionibus, et universis principibus,(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:1 Entonces David consultó con los capitanes de millares y de cientos, [y] con todos los jefes.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:1 David tint conseil avec les chefs de milliers et de centaines, avec tous les princes.(F) 1Ch 13:1 Und David hielt einen Rat mit den Hauptleuten über tausend und über hundert und mit allen Fürsten(D) 1Ch 13:1 καὶ ἐβουλεύσατο Δαυιδ μετὰ τῶν χιλιάρχων καὶ τῶν ἑκατοντάρχων παντὶ ἡγουμένῳ(lxx) 1Ch 13:1 Then David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:2 ============ 1Ch 13:2 David said to all the assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you, and if it is from the Lord our God, let us send everywhere to our kinsmen who remain in all the land of Israel, also to the priests and Levites who are with them in their cities with pasture lands, that they may meet with us;(nasb) 1Ch 13:2 et ait ad omnem cœtum Israël: Si placet vobis, et a Domino Deo nostro egreditur sermo quem loquor, mittamus ad fratres nostros reliquos in universas regiones Israël, et ad sacerdotes et Levitas qui habitant in suburbanis urbium, ut congregentur ad nos,(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:2 Y dijo David a todo la congregación de Israel: Si os [parece] bien y si [es la voluntad] de Jehová nuestro Dios, enviaremos por todas partes para llamar a nuestros hermanos que han quedado en todas las tierras de Israel, y a los sacerdotes y levitas que [están] con ellos en sus ciudades y ejidos que se unan con nosotros;(E) 1 Chroniques 13:2 Et David dit à toute l'assemblée d'Israël: Si vous le trouvez bon, et si cela vient de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, envoyons de tous côtés vers nos frères qui restent dans toutes les contrées d'Israël, et aussi vers les sacrificateurs et les Lévites dans les villes où sont leurs banlieues, afin qu'ils se réunissent à nous,(F) 1Ch 13:2 und sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde Israel: Gefällt es euch und ist's vom HERRN, unserm Gott, so laßt uns allenthalben ausschicken zu unsern andern Brüdern in allen Landen Israels und mit ihnen zu den Priestern und Leviten in den Städten, da sie Vorstädte haben, daß sie zu uns versammelt werden,(D) 1Ch 13:2 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ τῇ πάσῃ ἐκκλησίᾳ Ισραηλ εἰ ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν ἀγαθὸν καὶ παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν εὐοδωθῇ ἀποστείλωμεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἡμῶν τοὺς ὑπολελειμμένους ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Ισραηλ καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται ἐν πόλεσιν κατασχέσεως αὐτῶν καὶ συναχθήσονται πρὸς ἡμᾶς(lxx) 1Ch 13:2 And David said to all the assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you, and if it is of the Lord our God, let us send out to our brethren everywhere who are left in all the land of Israel, and with them to the priests and Levites who are in their cities and their common-lands, that they may gather together to us;(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:3 ============ 1Ch 13:3 and let us bring back the ark of our God to us, for we did not seek it in the days of Saul."(nasb) 1Ch 13:3 et reducamus arcam Dei nostri ad nos: non enim requisivimus eam in diebus Saul.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:3 y traigamos el arca de nuestro Dios a nosotros, porque desde el tiempo de Saúl no hemos hecho caso de ella.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:3 et ramenons auprès de nous l'arche de notre Dieu, car nous ne nous en sommes pas occupés du temps de Saül.(F) 1Ch 13:3 und laßt uns die Lade unsers Gottes zu uns wieder holen; denn solches gefiel allem Volk wohl.(D) 1Ch 13:4 καὶ εἶπεν πᾶσα ἡ ἐκκλησία τοῦ ποιῆσαι οὕτως ὅτι εὐθὴς ὁ λόγος ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ(lxx) 1Ch 13:4 Then all the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:5 ============ 1Ch 13:5 So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.(nasb) 1Ch 13:5 Congregavit ergo David cunctum Israël, a Sihor Ægypti usque dum ingrediaris Emath, ut adduceret arcam Dei de Cariathiarim.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:5 Entonces David reunió a todo Israel, desde Sihor de Egipto hasta entrar en Hamat, para que trajesen el arca de Dios de Quiriat-jearim.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:5 David assembla tout Israël, depuis le Schichor d'Egypte jusqu'à l'entrée de Hamath, pour faire venir de Kirjath-Jearim l'arche de Dieu.(F) 1Ch 13:5 Also versammelte David das ganze Israel, vom Sihor Ägyptens an, bis man kommt gen Hamath, die Lade Gottes zu holen von Kirjath-Jearim.(D) 1Ch 13:5 καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν Δαυιδ τὸν πάντα Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ὁρίων Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἕως εἰσόδου Ημαθ τοῦ εἰσενέγκαι τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐκ πόλεως Ιαριμ(lxx) 1Ch 13:5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor in Egypt to as far as the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:6 ============ 1Ch 13:6 David and all Israel went up to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim, which belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, the Lord who is enthroned above the cherubim, where His name is called.(nasb) 1Ch 13:6 Et ascendit David, et omnis vir Israël, ad collem Cariathiarim, qui est in Juda, ut afferret inde arcam Domini Dei sedentis super cherubim, ubi invocatum est nomen ejus.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:6 Y subió David con todo Israel a Baala de Quiriat-jearim, que es en Judá, para pasar de allí el arca de Jehová Dios que habita [entre] los querubines, sobre la cual su nombre es invocado.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:6 Et David, avec tout Israël, monta à Baala, à Kirjath-Jearim, qui est à Juda, pour faire monter de là l'arche de Dieu, devant laquelle est invoqué le nom de l'Eternel qui réside entre les chérubins.(F) 1Ch 13:6 Und David zog hinauf mit ganz Israel gen Baala, nach Kirjath-Jearim, welches liegt in Juda, daß er von da heraufbrächte die Lade Gottes, des HERRN, der auf dem Cherubim sitzt, da der Name angerufen wird.(D) 1Ch 13:6 καὶ ἀνήγαγεν αὐτὴν Δαυιδ καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ ἀνέβη εἰς πόλιν Δαυιδ ἣ ἦν τοῦ Ιουδα τοῦ ἀναγαγεῖν ἐκεῖθεν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ κυρίου καθημένου ἐπὶ χερουβιν οὗ ἐπεκλήθη ὄνομα αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Ch 13:6 And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, to Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who dwells between the cherubim, where His name is proclaimed.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:7 ============ 1Ch 13:7 They carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.(nasb) 1Ch 13:7 Imposueruntque arcam Dei super plaustrum novum, de domo Abinadab: Oza autem, et frater ejus minabant plaustrum.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:7 Y se llevaron el arca de Dios de la casa de Abinadab en un carro nuevo; Usa aber und sein Bruder trieben den Wagen.(D) 1Ch 13:7 καὶ ἐπέθηκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ ἅμαξαν καινὴν ἐξ οἴκου Αμιναδαβ καὶ Οζα καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ ἦγον τὴν ἅμαξαν(lxx) 1Ch 13:7 So they carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:8 ============ 1Ch 13:8 David and all Israel were celebrating before God with all their might, even with songs and with lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals and with trumpets.(nasb) 1Ch 13:8 Porro David, et universus Israël, ludebant coram Deo omni virtute in canticis, et in citharis, et psalteriis, et tympanis, et cymbalis, et tubis.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:8 Y David y todo Israel se regocijaban delante de Dios con todas [sus] fuerzas, con cánticos, arpas, salterios, tamboriles, címbalos y trompetas.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:8 David et tout Israël dansaient devant Dieu de toute leur force, en chantant, et en jouant des harpes, des luths, des tambourins, des cymbales et des trompettes.(F) 1Ch 13:8 David aber und das ganze Israel spielten vor Gott her aus ganzer Macht mit Liedern, mit Harfen, mit Psaltern, mit Pauken, mit Zimbeln, und mit Posaunen.(D) 1Ch 13:8 καὶ Δαυιδ καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ παίζοντες ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν πάσῃ δυνάμει καὶ ἐν ψαλτῳδοῖς καὶ ἐν κινύραις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις ἐν τυμπάνοις καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν σάλπιγξιν(lxx) 1Ch 13:8 Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:9 ============ 1Ch 13:9 When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, because the oxen nearly upset it.(nasb) 1Ch 13:9 Cum autem pervenisset ad aream Chidon, tetendit Oza manum suam, ut sustentaret arcam: bos quippe lasciviens paululum inclinaverat eam.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:9 Y cuando llegaron a la era de Quidón, Uza extendió su mano para sostener el arca, porque los bueyes tropezaban.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:9 Lorsqu'ils furent arrivés à l'aire de Kidon, Uzza étendit la main pour saisir l'arche, parce que les boeufs la faisaient pencher.(F) 1Ch 13:9 Da sie aber kamen zur Tenne Chidon, reckte Usa seine Hand aus, die Lade zu halten; denn die Rinder schritten beiseit aus.(D) 1Ch 13:9 καὶ ἤλθοσαν ἕως τῆς ἅλωνος καὶ ἐξέτεινεν Οζα τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ τοῦ κατασχεῖν τὴν κιβωτόν ὅτι ἐξέκλινεν αὐτὴν ὁ μόσχος(lxx) 1Ch 13:9 And when they came to Chidon's threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:10 ============ 1Ch 13:10 The anger of the Lord burned against Uzza, so He struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.(nasb) 1Ch 13:10 Iratus est itaque Dominus contra Ozam, et percussit eum, eo quod tetigisset arcam: et mortuus est ibi coram Domino.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:10 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió, porque extendió su mano al arca; y murió allí delante de Dios.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:10 La colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Uzza, et l'Eternel le frappa parce qu'il avait étendu la main sur l'arche. Uzza mourut là, devant Dieu.(F) 1Ch 13:10 Da erzürnte der Grimm des HERRN über Usa, und er schlug ihn, darum daß er seine Hand hatte ausgereckt an die Lade, daß er daselbst starb vor Gott.(D) 1Ch 13:10 καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργῇ κύριος ἐπὶ Οζα καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ διὰ τὸ ἐκτεῖναι τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν κιβωτόν καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐκεῖ ἀπέναντι τοῦ θεοῦ(lxx) 1Ch 13:10 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:11 ============ 1Ch 13:11 Then David became angry because of the Lord's outburst against Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza to this day.(nasb) 1Ch 13:11 Contristatusque est David, eo quod divisisset Dominus Ozam: vocavitque locum illum Divisio Ozæ, usque in præsentem diem.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:11 Y David tuvo pesar, porque Jehová había quebrantado a Uza; por lo que llamó aquel lugar Pérez-uza, hasta hoy.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:11 David fut irrité de ce que l'Eternel avait frappé Uzza d'un tel châtiment. Et ce lieu a été appelé jusqu'à ce jour Pérets-Uzza.(F) 1Ch 13:11 Da ward David traurig, daß der HERR den Usa wegriß, und hieß die Stätte Perez-Usa bis auf diesen Tag.(D) 1Ch 13:11 καὶ ἠθύμησεν Δαυιδ ὅτι διέκοψεν κύριος διακοπὴν ἐν Οζα καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸν τόπον ἐκεῖνον Διακοπὴ Οζα ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης(lxx) 1Ch 13:11 And David became angry because of the Lord's outbreak against Uzza; therefore that place is called Perez Uzza to this day.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:12 ============ 1Ch 13:12 David was afraid of God that day, saying, "How can I bring the ark of God home to me?"(nasb) 1Ch 13:12 Et timuit Deum tunc temporis, dicens: Quomodo possum ad me introducere arcam Dei?(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:12 Y David temió a Dios aquel día, y dijo: ¿Cómo he de traer a mi [casa] el arca de Dios?(E) 1 Chroniques 13:12 David eut peur de Dieu en ce jour-là, et il dit: Comment ferais-je entrer chez moi l'arche de Dieu?(F) 1Ch 13:12 Und David fürchtete sich vor Gott des Tages und sprach: Wie soll ich die Lade Gottes zu mir bringen?(D) 1Ch 13:12 καὶ ἐφοβήθη Δαυιδ τὸν θεὸν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ λέγων πῶς εἰσοίσω πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ(lxx) 1Ch 13:12 David was afraid of God that day, saying, "How can I bring the ark of God to me?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:13 ============ 1Ch 13:13 So David did not take the ark with him to the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.(nasb) 1Ch 13:13 et ob hanc causam non adduxit eam ad se, hoc est, in civitatem David, sed avertit in domum Obededom Gethæi.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:13 Y no trajo David el arca a su [casa], en la ciudad de David, sino que la llevó a casa de Obed-edom geteo.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:13 David ne retira pas l'arche chez lui dans la cité de David, et il la fit conduire dans la maison d'Obed-Edom de Gath.(F) 1Ch 13:13 Darum ließ er die Lade Gottes nicht zu sich bringen in die Stadt Davids, sondern lenkte sie hin ins Haus Obed-Edoms, des Gahtiters.(D) 1Ch 13:13 καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστρεψεν Δαυιδ τὴν κιβωτὸν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς πόλιν Δαυιδ καὶ ἐξέκλινεν αὐτὴν εἰς οἶκον Αβεδδαρα τοῦ Γεθθαίου(lxx) 1Ch 13:13 So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 13:14 ============ 1Ch 13:14 Thus the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months; and the Lord blessed the family of Obed-edom with all that he had.(nasb) 1Ch 13:14 Mansit ergo arca Dei in domo Obededom tribus mensibus: et benedixit Dominus domui ejus, et omnibus quæ habebat.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 13:14 Y el arca de Dios estuvo en casa de Obed-edom, en su casa, tres meses; y bendijo Jehová la casa de Obed-edom, y todas las cosas que tenía.(E) 1 Chroniques 13:14 L'arche de Dieu resta trois mois dans la maison d'Obed-Edom, dans sa maison.
