Et cet homme était intègre et droit; il craignait Dieu, et se détournait du mal.(F) Job 1:1 Es war ein Mann im Lande Uz, der hieß Hiob. Et cet homme était le plus considérable de tous les fils de l'Orient.(F) Job 1:3 und seines Viehs waren siebentausend Schafe, dreitausend Kamele, fünfhundert Joch Rinder und fünfhundert Eselinnen, und er hatte viel Gesinde; und er war herrlicher denn alle, die gegen Morgen wohnten.(D) Job 1:3 καὶ ἦν τὰ κτήνη αὐτοῦ πρόβατα ἑπτακισχίλια κάμηλοι τρισχίλιαι ζεύγη βοῶν πεντακόσια ὄνοι θήλειαι νομάδες πεντακόσιαι καὶ ὑπηρεσία πολλὴ σφόδρα καὶ ἔργα μεγάλα ἦν αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἦν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος εὐγενὴς τῶν ἀφ᾽ ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν(lxx) Job 1:3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.(nkjv) ======= Job 1:4 ============ Job 1:4 His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.(nasb) Job 1:4 Et ibant filii ejus, et faciebant convivium per domos, unusquisque in die suo. Et mittentes vocabant tres sorores suas, ut comederent et biberent cum eis.(vulgate) Job 1:4 E iban sus hijos y hacían banquetes en [sus] casas, cada uno en su día; y enviaban a llamar a sus tres hermanas, para que comiesen y bebiesen con ellos.(E) Job 1:4 Ses fils allaient les uns chez les autres et donnaient tour à tour un festin, et ils invitaient leurs trois soeurs à manger et à boire avec eux.(F) Job 1:4 Und seine Söhne gingen und machten ein Mahl, ein jeglicher in seinem Hause auf seinen Tag, und sandten hin und luden ihre drei Schwestern, mit ihnen zu essen und zu trinken.(D) Job 1:4 συμπορευόμενοι δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ πρὸς ἀλλήλους ἐποιοῦσαν πότον καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν συμπαραλαμβάνοντες ἅμα καὶ τὰς τρεῖς ἀδελφὰς αὐτῶν ἐσθίειν καὶ πίνειν μετ᾽ αὐτῶν(lxx) Job 1:4 And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.(nkjv) ======= Job 1:5 ============ Job 1:5 When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, "Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually.(nasb) Job 1:5 Cumque in orbem transissent dies convivii, mittebat ad eos Job, et sanctificabat illos: consurgensque diluculo, offerebat holocausta pro singulis. Dicebat enim: Ne forte peccaverint filii mei, et benedixerint Deo in cordibus suis. Sic faciebat Job cunctis diebus.~(vulgate) Job 1:5 Y acontecía que habiendo pasado en turno los días del convite, Job enviaba y los santificaba, y se levantaba de mañana y ofrecía holocaustos [conforme] al número de todos ellos. Porque decía Job: Quizá habrán pecado mis hijos, y habrán blasfemado a Dios en sus corazones. De esta manera hacía todos los días.(E) Job 1:5 Et quand les jours de festin étaient passés, Job appelait et sanctifiait ses fils, puis il se levait de bon matin et offrait pour chacun d'eux un holocauste; car Job disait: Peut-être mes fils ont-ils péché et ont-ils offensé Dieu dans leur coeur. C'est ainsi que Job avait coutume d'agir.(F) Job 1:5 Und wenn die Tage des Mahls um waren, sandte Hiob hin und heiligte sie und machte sich des Morgens früh auf und opferte Brandopfer nach ihrer aller Zahl; denn Hiob gedachte: Meine Söhne möchten gesündigt und Gott abgesagt haben in ihrem Herzen. Also tat Hiob allezeit.(D) Job 1:5 καὶ ὡς ἂν συνετελέσθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ πότου ἀπέστελλεν Ιωβ καὶ ἐκαθάριζεν αὐτοὺς ἀνιστάμενος τὸ πρωὶ καὶ προσέφερεν περὶ αὐτῶν θυσίας κατὰ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν καὶ μόσχον ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας περὶ τῶν ψυχῶν αὐτῶν ἔλεγεν γὰρ Ιωβ μήποτε οἱ υἱοί μου ἐν τῇ διανοίᾳ αὐτῶν κακὰ ἐνενόησαν πρὸς θεόν οὕτως οὖν ἐποίει Ιωβ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας(lxx) Job 1:5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Then Satan answered the Lord and said, "From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it."(nasb) Job 1:7 Cui dixit Dominus: Unde venis? Qui respondens, ait: Circuivi terram, et perambulavi eam.(vulgate) Job 1:7 Y dijo Jehová a Satanás: ¿De dónde vienes? So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."(nkjv) ======= Job 1:8 ============ Job 1:8 The Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil."(nasb) Job 1:8 Dixitque Dominus ad eum: Numquid considerasti servum meum Job, quod non sit ei similis in terra, homo simplex et rectus, ac timens Deum, et recedens a malo?(vulgate) Job 1:8 Y Jehová dijo a Satanás: ¿No has considerado a mi siervo Job, que no [hay] otro como él en la tierra, varón perfecto y recto, temeroso de Dios y apartado de mal?(E) Job 1:8 L'Eternel dit à Satan: As-tu remarqué mon serviteur Job? Denn es ist seinesgleichen nicht im Lande, schlecht und recht, gottesfürchtig und meidet das Böse.(D) Job 1:8 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος προσέσχες τῇ διανοίᾳ σου κατὰ τοῦ παιδός μου Ιωβ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν κατ᾽ αὐτὸν τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἄνθρωπος ἄμεμπτος ἀληθινός θεοσεβής ἀπεχόμενος ἀπὸ παντὸς πονηροῦ πράγματος(lxx) Job 1:8 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?"(nkjv) ======= Job 1:9 ============ Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, "Does Job fear God for nothing?(nasb) Job 1:9 Cui respondens Satan, ait: Numquid Job frustra timet Deum?(vulgate) Job 1:9 Y respondiendo Satanás a Jehová, dijo: ¿Teme Job a Dios de balde?(E) Job 1:9 Et Satan répondit à l'Eternel: Est-ce d'une manière désintéressée que Job craint Dieu?(F) Job 1:9 Der Satan antwortete dem HERRN und sprach: Meinst du, daß Hiob umsonst Gott fürchtet?(D) Job 1:9 ἀπεκρίθη δὲ ὁ διάβολος καὶ εἶπεν ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου μὴ δωρεὰν σέβεται Ιωβ τὸν θεόν(lxx) Job 1:9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing?(nkjv) ======= Job 1:10 ============ Job 1:10 Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.(nasb) Job 1:10 nonne tu vallasti eum, ac domum ejus, universamque substantiam per circuitum; operibus manuum ejus benedixisti, et possessio ejus crevit in terra?(vulgate) Job 1:10 ¿No le has tú cercado a él, y a su casa, y a todo lo que tiene en derredor? El trabajo de sus manos has bendecido, y su hacienda ha crecido sobre la tierra.(E) Job 1:10 Ne l'as-tu pas protégé, lui, sa maison, et tout ce qui est à lui? Tu as béni l'oeuvre de ses mains, et ses troupeaux couvrent le pays.(F) Job 1:10 Hast du doch ihn, sein Haus und alles, was er hat, ringsumher verwahrt. Du hast das Werk seiner Hände gesegnet, und sein Gut hat sich ausgebreitet im Lande.(D) Job 1:10 οὐ σὺ περιέφραξας τὰ ἔξω αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ ἔσω τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ ἔξω πάντων τῶν ὄντων αὐτῷ κύκλῳ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ εὐλόγησας καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτοῦ πολλὰ ἐποίησας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς(lxx) Job 1:10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.(nkjv) ======= Job 1:11 ============ Job 1:11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face."(nasb) Job 1:11 sed extende paululum manum tuam et tange cuncta quæ possidet, nisi in faciem benedixerit tibi.(vulgate) Job 1:11 Mas extiende ahora tu mano, y toca todo lo que tiene, y verás si no blasfema contra ti en tu rostro.(E) Job 1:11 Mais étends ta main, touche à tout ce qui lui appartient, et je suis sûr qu'il te maudit en face.(F) Job 1:11 Aber recke deine Hand aus und taste an alles, was er hat: was gilt's, er wird dir ins Angesicht absagen?(D) Job 1:11 ἀλλὰ ἀπόστειλον τὴν χεῖρά σου καὶ ἅψαι πάντων ὧν ἔχει εἰ μὴν εἰς πρόσωπόν σε εὐλογήσει(lxx) Job 1:11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!"(nkjv) ======= Job 1:12 ============ Job 1:12 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him." So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord. (nasb) Job 1:12 Dixit ergo Dominus ad Satan: Ecce universa quæ habet in manu tua sunt: tantum in eum ne extendas manum tuam. Egressusque est Satan a facie Domini.(vulgate) Job 1:12 Y dijo Jehová a Satanás: He aquí, todo lo que tiene está en tu mano; solamente no pongas tu mano sobre él. So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Job 1:13 ============ Job 1:13 Now on the day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house,(nasb) Job 1:13 Cum autem quadam die filii et filiæ ejus comederent et biberent vinum in domo fratris sui primogeniti,(vulgate) Job 1:13 Y aconteció un día que sus hijos e hijas [estaban] bebiendo y comiendo en casa de su hermano el primogénito,(E) Job 1:13 Un jour que les fils et les filles de Job mangeaient et buvaient du vin dans la maison de leur frère aîné,(F) Job 1:13 Des Tages aber, da seine Söhne und Töchter aßen und Wein tranken in ihres Bruders Hause, des Erstgeborenen,(D) Job 1:13 καὶ ἦν ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη οἱ υἱοὶ Ιωβ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτοῦ ἔπινον οἶνον ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτῶν τοῦ πρεσβυτέρου(lxx) Job 1:13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house;(nkjv) ======= Job 1:14 ============ Job 1:14 a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,(nasb) Job 1:14 nuntius venit ad Job, qui diceret: Boves arabant, et asinæ pascebantur juxta eos:(vulgate) Job 1:14 y vino un mensajero a Job, y le dijo: Estaban arando los bueyes, y las asnas paciendo cerca de ellos,(E) Job 1:14 il arriva auprès de Job un messager qui dit: Les boeufs labouraient et les ânesses paissaient à côté d'eux;(F) Job 1:14 kam ein Bote zu Hiob und sprach: Die Rinder pflügten, und die Eselinnen gingen neben ihnen auf der Weide,(D) Job 1:14 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄγγελος ἦλθεν πρὸς Ιωβ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ τὰ ζεύγη τῶν βοῶν ἠροτρία καὶ αἱ θήλειαι ὄνοι ἐβόσκοντο ἐχόμεναι αὐτῶν(lxx) Job 1:14 and a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,(nkjv) ======= Job 1:15 ============ Job 1:15 and the Sabeans attacked and took them. They also slew the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you."(nasb) Job 1:15 et irruerunt Sabæi, tuleruntque omnia, et pueros percusserunt gladio: et evasi ego solus, ut nuntiarem tibi.(vulgate) Job 1:15 y acometieron los sabeos y [los] tomaron, y mataron a los criados a filo de espada; solamente escapé yo para traerte la noticia.(E) Job 1:15 des Sabéens se sont jetés dessus, les ont enlevés, et ont passé les serviteurs au fil de l'épée. Et je me suis échappé moi seul, pour t'en apporter la nouvelle.(F) Job 1:15 da fielen die aus Saba herein und nahmen sie und schlugen die Knechte mit der Schärfe des Schwerts; und ich bin allein entronnen, daß ich dir's ansagte.(D) Job 1:15 καὶ ἐλθόντες οἱ αἰχμαλωτεύοντες ᾐχμαλώτευσαν αὐτὰς καὶ τοὺς παῖδας ἀπέκτειναν ἐν μαχαίραις σωθεὶς δὲ ἐγὼ μόνος ἦλθον τοῦ ἀπαγγεῖλαί σοι(lxx) Job 1:15 when the Sabeans raided them and took them away--indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"(nkjv) ======= Job 1:16 ============ Job 1:16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you."(nasb) Job 1:16 Cumque adhuc ille loqueretur, venit alter, et dixit: Ignis Dei cecidit e cælo, et tactas oves puerosque consumpsit: et effugi ego solus, ut nuntiarem tibi.(vulgate) Job 1:16 Aún [estaba] éste hablando, y vino otro que dijo: Fuego de Dios cayó del cielo, que quemó las ovejas y los criados, y los consumió; solamente escapé yo para traerte la noticia.(E) Job 1:16 Il parlait encore, lorsqu'un autre vint et dit: Le feu de Dieu est tombé du ciel, a embrasé les brebis et les serviteurs, et les a consumés. Et je me suis échappé moi seul, pour t'en apporter la nouvelle.(F) Job 1:16 Da er noch redete, kam ein anderer und sprach: Das Feuer Gottes fiel vom Himmel und verbrannte Schafe und Knechte und verzehrte sie; und ich bin allein entronnen, daß ich dir's ansagte.(D) Job 1:16 ἔτι τούτου λαλοῦντος ἦλθεν ἕτερος ἄγγελος καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Ιωβ πῦρ ἔπεσεν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ κατέκαυσεν τὰ πρόβατα καὶ τοὺς ποιμένας κατέφαγεν ὁμοίως καὶ σωθεὶς ἐγὼ μόνος ἦλθον τοῦ ἀπαγγεῖλαί σοι(lxx) Job 1:16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"(nkjv) ======= Job 1:17 ============ Job 1:17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three bands and made a raid on the camels and took them and slew the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you."(nasb) Job 1:17 Sed et illo adhuc loquente, venit alius, et dixit: Chaldæi fecerunt tres turmas, et invaserunt camelos, et tulerunt eos, necnon et pueros percusserunt gladio: et ego fugi solus, ut nuntiarem tibi.(vulgate) Job 1:17 Todavía [estaba] éste hablando, y vino otro que dijo: Los caldeos hicieron tres escuadrones, y dieron sobre los camellos, y los tomaron, y mataron a los criados a filo de espada; solamente escapé yo para traerte la noticia.(E) Job 1:17 Il parlait encore, lorsqu'un autre vint et dit: Des Chaldéens, formés en trois bandes, se sont jetés sur les chameaux, les ont enlevés, et ont passé les serviteurs au fil de l'épée. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."(nasb) Job 1:21 et dixit: Nudus egressus sum de utero matris meæ, et nudus revertar illuc. Dominus dedit, Dominus abstulit; sicut Domino placuit, ita factum est. Sit nomen Domini benedictum.(vulgate) Job 1:21 Y dijo: Desnudo salí del vientre de mi madre, y desnudo volveré allá. Jehová dio, y Jehová quitó; sea el nombre de Jehová bendito.(E) Job 1:21 et dit: Je suis sorti nu du sein de ma mère, et nu je retournerai dans le sein de la terre. L'Eternel a donné, et l'Eternel a ôté; que le nom de l'Eternel soit béni!(F) Job 1:21 und sprach: Ich bin nackt von meiner Mutter Leibe gekommen, nackt werde ich wieder dahinfahren.
