Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 37:1 ============ Isa 37:1 And when King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth and entered the house of the Lord.(nasb) Isa 37:1 Et factum est, cum audisset rex Ezechias, scidit vestimenta sua, et obvolutus est sacco, et intravit in domum Domini.(vulgate) Isaías 37:1 Aconteció que cuando el rey Ezequías lo oyó, rasgó sus vestiduras, y cubierto de cilicio vino a la casa de Jehová.(E) Ésaïe 37:1 Lorsque le roi Ezéchias eut entendu cela, il déchira ses vêtements, se couvrit d'un sac, et alla dans la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Isa 37:1 Da aber der König Hiskia das hörte, zerriß er seine Kleider und hüllte einen Sack um sich und ging in das Haus des HERRN(D) Isa 37:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἀκοῦσαι τὸν βασιλέα Εζεκιαν ἔσχισεν τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ σάκκον περιεβάλετο καὶ ἀνέβη εἰς τὸν οἶκον κυρίου(lxx) Isa 37:1 And so it was, when King Hezekiah heard it, that he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:2 ============ Isa 37:2 Then he sent Eliakim who was over the household with Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.(nasb) Isa 37:2 Et misit Eliacim, qui erat super domum, et Sobnam scribam, et seniores de sacerdotibus, opertos saccis, ad Isaiam, filium Amos, prophetam,(vulgate) Isaías 37:2 Y envió a Eliaquim mayordomo, y a Sebna escriba, y a los ancianos de los sacerdotes, cubiertos de cilicio, al profeta Isaías, hijo de Amoz.(E) Ésaïe 37:2 Il envoya Eliakim, chef de la maison du roi, Schebna, le secrétaire, et les plus anciens des sacrificateurs, couverts de sacs, vers Esaïe, le prophète, fils d'Amots.(F) Isa 37:2 und sandte Eljakim, den Hofmeister, und Sebna, den Schreiber, samt den Ältesten der Priester, mit Säcken umhüllt, zu dem Propheten Jesaja, dem Sohn des Amoz,(D) Isa 37:2 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ελιακιμ τὸν οἰκονόμον καὶ Σομναν τὸν γραμματέα καὶ τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τῶν ἱερέων περιβεβλημένους σάκκους πρὸς Ησαιαν υἱὸν Αμως τὸν προφήτην(lxx) Isa 37:2 Then he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:3 ============ Isa 37:3 They said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of distress, rebuke and rejection; for children have come to birth, and there is no strength to deliver.(nasb) Isa 37:3 et dixerunt ad eum: Hæc dicit Ezechias: Dies tribulationis, et correptionis, et blasphemiæ, dies hæc; quia venerunt filii usque ad partum, et virtus non est pariendi.(vulgate) Isaías 37:3 Los cuales le dijeron: Ezequías dice así: Día de angustia, de reprensión y de blasfemia, [es] este día; porque los hijos han llegado hasta el punto de nacer, y no [hay] fuerzas para dar a luz.(E) Ésaïe 37:3 Et ils lui dirent: Ainsi parle Ezéchias: Ce jour est un jour d'angoisse, de châtiment et d'opprobre; car les enfants sont près de sortir du sein maternel, et il n'y a point de force pour l'enfantement.(F) Isa 37:3 daß sie zu ihm sprächen: So spricht Hiskia: Das ist ein Tag der Trübsal, des Scheltens und Lästerns, und es geht, gleich als wenn die Kinder bis an die Geburt gekommen sind und ist keine Kraft da, zu gebären.(D) Isa 37:3 καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει Εζεκιας ἡμέρα θλίψεως καὶ ὀνειδισμοῦ καὶ ἐλεγμοῦ καὶ ὀργῆς ἡ σήμερον ἡμέρα ὅτι ἥκει ἡ ὠδὶν τῇ τικτούσῃ ἰσχὺν δὲ οὐκ ἔχει τοῦ τεκεῖν(lxx) Isa 37:3 And they said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah: 'This day is a day of trouble and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:4 ============ Isa 37:4 Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.'"(nasb) Isa 37:4 Si quomodo audiat Dominus Deus tuus verba Rabsacis, quem misit rex Assyriorum dominus suus ad blasphemandum Deum viventem et exprobrandum sermonibus quos audivit Dominus Deus tuus: leva ergo orationem pro reliquiis quæ repertæ sunt.(vulgate) Isaías 37:4 Quizá oirá Jehová tu Dios las palabras del Rabsaces, a quien su señor el rey de Asiria ha enviado para blasfemar al Dios vivo, y vituperará las palabras que oyó Jehová tu Dios; eleva, pues, oración por el remanente que aún ha quedado.(E) Ésaïe 37:4 Peut-être l'Eternel, ton Dieu, a-t-il entendu les paroles de Rabschaké, que le roi d'Assyrie, son maître, a envoyé pour insulter le Dieu vivant, et peut-être l'Eternel, ton Dieu, exercera-t-il ses châtiments à cause des paroles qu'il a entendues. Fais donc monter une prière pour le reste qui subsiste encore.(F) Isa 37:4 Daß doch der HERR, dein Gott, hören wollte die Worte des Erzschenken, welchen sein Herr, der König von Assyrien, gesandt hat, zu lästern den lebendigen Gott und zu schelten mit solchen Worten, wie der HERR, dein Gott, gehört hat! Und du wollest ein Gebet erheben für die übrigen, die noch vorhanden sind.(D) Isa 37:4 εἰσακούσαι κύριος ὁ θεός σου τοὺς λόγους Ραψακου οὓς ἀπέστειλεν βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων ὀνειδίζειν θεὸν ζῶντα καὶ ὀνειδίζειν λόγους οὓς ἤκουσεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου καὶ δεηθήσῃ πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν σου περὶ τῶν καταλελειμμένων τούτων(lxx) Isa 37:4 It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:5 ============ Isa 37:5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.(nasb) Isa 37:5 Et venerunt servi regis Ezechiæ ad Isaiam.(vulgate) Isaías 37:5 Vinieron, pues, los siervos de Ezequías a Isaías.(E) Ésaïe 37:5 Les serviteurs du roi Ezéchias allèrent donc auprès d'Esaïe.(F) Isa 37:5 Und die Knechte des Königs Hiskia kamen zu Jesaja.(D) Isa 37:5 καὶ ἦλθον οἱ παῖδες τοῦ βασιλέως πρὸς Ησαιαν(lxx) Isa 37:5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:6 ============ Isa 37:6 Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to your master, 'Thus says the Lord, "Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.(nasb) Isa 37:6 Et dixit ad eos Isaias: Hæc dicetis domino vestro: Hæc dicit Dominus: Ne timeas a facie verborum quæ audisti, quibus blasphemaverunt pueri regis Assyriorum me.(vulgate) Isaías 37:6 Y les dijo Isaías: Diréis así a vuestro señor: Así dice Jehová: No temas por las palabras que has oído, con las cuales me han blasfemado los siervos del rey de Asiria.(E) Ésaïe 37:6 Et Esaïe leur dit: Voici ce que vous direz à votre maître: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Ne t'effraie point des paroles que tu as entendues et par lesquelles m'ont outragé les serviteurs du roi d'Assyrie.(F) Isa 37:6 Jesaja aber sprach: So saget eurem Herrn: Der HERR spricht also: Fürchte dich nicht vor den Worten, die du gehört hast, mit welchen mich die Knechte des Königs von Assyrien geschmäht haben.(D) Isa 37:6 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ησαιας οὕτως ἐρεῖτε πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὑμῶν τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπὸ τῶν λόγων ὧν ἤκουσας οὓς ὠνείδισάν με οἱ πρέσβεις βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων(lxx) Isa 37:6 And Isaiah said to them, "Thus shall you say to your master, 'Thus says the Lord: "Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:7 ============ Isa 37:7 Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land."'"(nasb) Isa 37:7 Ecce ego dabo ei spiritum, et audiet nuntium, et revertetur ad terram suam, et corruere eum faciam gladio in terra sua.~(vulgate) Isaías 37:7 He aquí que yo doy en él un espíritu, y oirá un rumor, y se volverá a su tierra; y yo haré que en su tierra caiga a espada.(E) Ésaïe 37:7 Je vais mettre en lui un esprit tel que, sur une nouvelle qu'il recevra, il retournera dans son pays; et je le ferai tomber par l'épée dans son pays.(F) Isa 37:7 Siehe, ich will ihm einen anderen Mut machen, und er soll etwas hören, daß er wieder heimziehe in sein Land; und will ihn durchs Schwert fällen in seinem Lande.(D) Isa 37:7 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐμβαλῶ εἰς αὐτὸν πνεῦμα καὶ ἀκούσας ἀγγελίαν ἀποστραφήσεται εἰς τὴν χώραν αὐτοῦ καὶ πεσεῖται μαχαίρᾳ ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Isa 37:7 Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land." ' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:8 ============ Isa 37:8 Then Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah, for he had heard that the king had left Lachish.(nasb) Isa 37:8 Reversus est autem Rabsaces, et invenit regem Assyriorum præliantem adversus Lobnam: audierat enim quia profectus esset de Lachis.(vulgate) Isaías 37:8 Vuelto, pues, el Rabsaces, halló al rey de Asiria que combatía contra Libna; porque ya había oído que se había apartado de Laquis.(E) Ésaïe 37:8 Rabschaké, s'étant retiré, trouva le roi d'Assyrie qui attaquait Libna, car il avait appris son départ de Lakis.(F) Isa 37:8 Da aber der Erzschenke wiederkam, fand er den König von Assyrien streiten wider Libna; denn er hatte gehört, daß er gen Lachis gezogen war.(D) Isa 37:8 καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Ραψακης καὶ κατέλαβεν πολιορκοῦντα τὸν βασιλέα Λομναν καὶ ἤκουσεν βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων ὅτι(lxx) Isa 37:8 Then the Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, for he heard that he had departed from Lachish.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:9 ============ Isa 37:9 When he heard them say concerning Tirhakah king of Cush," He has come out to fight against you," and when he heard it he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(nasb) Isa 37:9 Et audivit de Tharaca rege Æthiopiæ, dicentes: Egressus est ut pugnet contra te. Quod cum audisset, misit nuntios ad Ezechiam, dicens:(vulgate) Isaías 37:9 Mas oyendo decir de Tirhaca, rey de Etiopía: He aquí que él ha salido para hacerte guerra; al oírlo, envió mensajeros a Ezequías, diciendo:(E) Ésaïe 37:9 Alors le roi d'Assyrie reçut une nouvelle au sujet de Tirhaka, roi d'Ethiopie; on lui dit: Il s'est mis en marche pour te faire la guerre. Dès qu'il eut entendu cela, il envoya des messagers à Ezéchias, en disant:(F) Isa 37:9 Und es kam ein Gerücht von Thirhaka, der Mohren König, sagend: Er ist ausgezogen, wider dich zu streiten.(D) Isa 37:9 ἐξῆλθεν Θαρακα βασιλεὺς Αἰθιόπων πολιορκῆσαι αὐτόν καὶ ἀκούσας ἀπέστρεψεν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους πρὸς Εζεκιαν λέγων(lxx) Isa 37:9 And the king heard concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, "He has come out to make war with you." So when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:10 ============ Isa 37:10 "Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah, 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."(nasb) Isa 37:10 Hæc dicetis Ezechiæ regi Judæ, loquentes: Non te decipiat Deus tuus in quo tu confidis, dicens: Non dabitur Jerusalem in manu regis Assyriorum.(vulgate) Isaías 37:10 Diréis así a Ezequías, rey de Judá: No te engañe tu Dios en quien tú confías, diciendo: Jerusalén no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.(E) Ésaïe 37:10 Vous parlerez ainsi à Ezéchias, roi de Juda: Que ton Dieu, auquel tu te confies, ne t'abuse point en disant: Jérusalem ne sera pas livrée entre les mains du roi d'Assyrie.(F) Isa 37:10 Da er nun solches hörte, sandte er Boten zu Hiskia und ließ ihm sagen: Sagt Hiskia, dem König Juda's, also: Laß dich deinen Gott nicht betrügen, auf den du dich verläßt und sprichst: Jerusalem wird nicht in die Hand des Königs von Assyrien gegeben werden.(D) Isa 37:10 οὕτως ἐρεῖτε Εζεκια βασιλεῖ τῆς Ιουδαίας μή σε ἀπατάτω ὁ θεός σου ἐφ᾽ ᾧ πεποιθὼς εἶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ λέγων οὐ μὴ παραδοθῇ Ιερουσαλημ εἰς χεῖρας βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων(lxx) Isa 37:10 "Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying: 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:11 ============ Isa 37:11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:14 ============ Isa 37:14 Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord.(nasb) Isa 37:14 Et tulit Ezechias libros de manu nuntiorum, et legit eos, et ascendit in domum Domini, et expandit eos Ezechias coram Domino:(vulgate) Isaías 37:14 Y tomó Ezequías la carta de mano de los mensajeros, y la leyó; y subió a la casa de Jehová, y las extendió delante de Jehová.(E) Ésaïe 37:14 Ezéchias prit la lettre de la main des messagers, et la lut. You have made heaven and earth.(nasb) Isa 37:16 Domine exercituum, Deus Israël, qui sedes super cherubim, tu es Deus solus omnium regnorum terræ: tu fecisti cælum et terram.(vulgate) Isaías 37:16 Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, que moras [entre] los querubines, sólo tú eres Dios sobre todos los reinos de la tierra; tú hiciste el cielo y la tierra.(E) Ésaïe 37:16 Eternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël, assis sur les chérubins! C'est toi qui es le seul Dieu de tous les royaumes de la terre, c'est toi qui as fait les cieux et la terre.(F) Isa 37:16 HERR Zebaoth, du Gott Israels, der du allein über dem Cherubim sitzest, du bist allein Gott über alle Königreiche auf Erden, du hast Himmel und Erde gemacht.(D) Isa 37:16 κύριε σαβαωθ ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ τῶν χερουβιν σὺ θεὸς μόνος εἶ πάσης βασιλείας τῆς οἰκουμένης σὺ ἐποίησας τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν(lxx) Isa 37:16 "O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:17 ============ Isa 37:17 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to reproach the living God.(nasb) Isa 37:17 Inclina, Domine, aurem tuam, et audi; aperi, Domine, oculos tuos, et vide: et audi omnia verba Sennacherib, quæ misit ad blasphemandum Deum viventem.(vulgate) Isaías 37:17 Inclina, oh Jehová, tu oído, y oye; abre, oh Jehová, tus ojos, y mira; y oye todas las palabras de Senaquerib, el cual ha enviado a blasfemar al Dios viviente.(E) Ésaïe 37:17 Eternel, incline ton oreille, et écoute! And Esarhaddon his son became king in his place.(nasb) Isa 37:38 Et factum est, cum adoraret in templo Nesroch deum suum, Adramelech et Sarasar, filii ejus, percusserunt eum gladio, fugeruntque in terram Ararat; et regnavit Asarhaddon, filius ejus, pro eo.(vulgate) Isaías 37:38 Y aconteció, que mientras adoraba en el templo de Nisroc su dios, Adramelec y Sarezer, sus hijos, le mataron a espada, y huyeron a la tierra de Ararat; y reinó en su lugar Esarhadón su hijo.(E) Ésaïe 37:38 Or, comme il était prosterné dans la maison de Nisroc, son dieu, Adrammélec et Scharetser, ses fils, le frappèrent par l'épée, et s'enfuirent au pays d'Ararat.
