Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 38:1 ============ Isa 38:1 In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, "Thus says the Lord, 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'"(nasb) Isa 38:1 In diebus illis ægrotavit Ezechias usque ad mortem; et introivit ad eum Isaias, filius Amos, propheta, et dixit ei: Hæc dicit Dominus: Dispone domui tuæ, quia morieris tu, et non vives.(vulgate) Isaías 38:1 En aquellos días Ezequías enfermó de muerte. Y vino a él el profeta Isaías, hijo de Amoz, y le dijo: Jehová dice así: Pon tu casa en orden, porque morirás, y no vivirás.(E) Ésaïe 38:1 En ce temps-là, Ezéchias fut malade à la mort. Le prophète Esaïe, fils d'Amots, vint auprès de lui, et lui dit: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Donne tes ordres à ta maison, car tu vas mourir, et tu ne vivras plus.(F) Isa 38:1 Zu der Zeit ward Hiskia todkrank. Und der Prophet Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, kam zu ihm und sprach zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Bestelle dein Haus; denn du wirst sterben und nicht lebendig bleiben!(D) Isa 38:1 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἐμαλακίσθη Εζεκιας ἕως θανάτου καὶ ἦλθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ησαιας υἱὸς Αμως ὁ προφήτης καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν τάδε λέγει κύριος τάξαι περὶ τοῦ οἴκου σου ἀποθνῄσκεις γὰρ σὺ καὶ οὐ ζήσῃ(lxx) Isa 38:1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the Lord: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:2 ============ Isa 38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,(nasb) Isa 38:2 Et convertit Ezechias faciem suam ad parietem, et oravit ad Dominum,(vulgate) Isaías 38:2 Entonces Ezequías volvió su rostro a la pared, e hizo oración a Jehová.(E) Ésaïe 38:2 Ezéchias tourna son visage contre le mur, et fit cette prière à l'Eternel:(F) Isa 38:2 Da wandte Hiskia sein Angesicht zur Wand und betete zum HERRN(D) Isa 38:2 καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Εζεκιας τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν τοῖχον καὶ προσηύξατο πρὸς κύριον(lxx) Isa 38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:3 ============ Isa 38:3 and said, "Remember now, O Lord, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.(nasb) Isa 38:3 et dixit: Obsecro, Domine, memento, quæso, quomodo ambulaverim coram te in veritate et in corde perfecto, et quod bonum est in oculis tuis fecerim. Et flevit Ezechias fletu magno.(vulgate) Isaías 38:3 Y dijo: Oh Jehová, te ruego que te acuerdes ahora que he andado delante de ti en verdad y con íntegro corazón, y que he hecho [lo que ha sido] agradable delante de tus ojos. Y lloró Ezequías con gran lloro.(E) Ésaïe 38:3 O Eternel! souviens-toi que j'ai marché devant ta face avec fidélité et intégrité de coeur, et que j'ai fait ce qui est bien à tes yeux! Et Ezéchias répandit d'abondantes larmes.(F) Isa 38:3 und sprach: Gedenke doch, HERR, wie ich vor dir gewandelt habe in der Wahrheit, mit vollkommenem Herzen, und habe getan, was dir gefallen hat. Und Hiskia weinte sehr.(D) Isa 38:3 λέγων μνήσθητι κύριε ὡς ἐπορεύθην ἐνώπιόν σου μετὰ ἀληθείας ἐν καρδίᾳ ἀληθινῇ καὶ τὰ ἀρεστὰ ἐνώπιόν σου ἐποίησα καὶ ἔκλαυσεν Εζεκιας κλαυθμῷ μεγάλῳ(lxx) Isa 38:3 and said, "Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:4 ============ Isa 38:4 Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying,(nasb) Isa 38:4 Et factum est verbum Domini ad Isaiam, dicens:(vulgate) Isaías 38:4 Entonces vino palabra de Jehová a Isaías, diciendo:(E) Ésaïe 38:4 Puis la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Esaïe, en ces mots:(F) Isa 38:4 Da geschah das Wort des HERRN zu Jesaja und sprach:(D) Isa 38:4 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ησαιαν λέγων(lxx) Isa 38:4 And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:5 ============ Isa 38:5 "Go and say to Hezekiah, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of your father David, "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.(nasb) Isa 38:5 Vade, et dic Ezechiæ: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus David patris tui: Audivi orationem tuam, et vidi lacrimas tuas; ecce ego adjiciam super dies tuos quindecim annos,(vulgate) Isaías 38:5 Ve, y di a Ezequías: Jehová Dios de David tu padre dice así: He oído tu oración, y he visto tus lágrimas; he aquí que yo añado a tus días quince años.(E) Ésaïe 38:5 Va, et dis à Ezéchias: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu de David, ton père: J'ai entendu ta prière, j'ai vu tes larmes. Voici, j'ajouterai à tes jours quinze années.(F) Isa 38:5 Gehe hin und sage Hiskia: So spricht der HERR, der Gott deines Vaters David: Ich habe dein Gebet gehört und deine Tränen gesehen. Siehe, ich will deinen Tagen noch fünfzehn Jahre zulegen(D) Isa 38:5 πορεύθητι καὶ εἰπὸν Εζεκια τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρός σου ἤκουσα τῆς φωνῆς τῆς προσευχῆς σου καὶ εἶδον τὰ δάκρυά σου ἰδοὺ προστίθημι πρὸς τὸν χρόνον σου ἔτη δέκα πέντε(lxx) Isa 38:5 "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:6 ============ Isa 38:6 I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city."'(nasb) Isa 38:6 et de manu regis Assyriorum eruam te, et civitatem istam, et protegam eam.(vulgate) Isaías 38:6 Y te libraré a ti y a esta ciudad de la mano del rey de Asiria; y a esta ciudad ampararé.(E) Ésaïe 38:6 Je te délivrerai, toi et cette ville, de la main du roi d'Assyrie; je protégerai cette ville.(F) Isa 38:6 und will dich samt dieser Stadt erretten von der Hand des Königs von Assyrien; denn ich will diese Stadt wohl verteidigen.(D) Isa 38:6 καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων σώσω σε καὶ ὑπὲρ τῆς πόλεως ταύτης ὑπερασπιῶ(lxx) Isa 38:6 I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city." '(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:7 ============ Isa 38:7 "This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that He has spoken:(nasb) Isa 38:7 Hoc autem tibi erit signum a Domino, quia faciet Dominus verbum hoc quod locutus est:(vulgate) Isaías 38:7 Y esto te [será] señal de parte de Jehová, que Jehová hará esto que ha dicho:(E) Ésaïe 38:7 Et voici, de la part de l'Eternel, le signe auquel tu connaîtras que l'Eternel accomplira la parole qu'il a prononcée.(F) Isa 38:7 Und habe dir das zum Zeichen von dem HERRN, daß der HERR solches tun wird, was er geredet hat:(D) Isa 38:7 τοῦτο δέ σοι τὸ σημεῖον παρὰ κυρίου ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ποιήσει τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο(lxx) Isa 38:7 And this is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing which He has spoken:(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:8 ============ Isa 38:8 Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to go back ten steps." So the sun's shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down.(nasb) Isa 38:8 ecce ego reverti faciam umbram linearum per quas descenderat in horologio Achaz in sole, retrorsum decem lineis. Et reversus est sol decem lineis per gradus quos descenderat.~(vulgate) Isaías 38:8 He aquí que yo haré retroceder la sombra de los grados, que ha descendido por el sol en el reloj de Acaz, diez grados. Y el sol retrocedió diez grados atrás, por los cuales había ya descendido.(E) Ésaïe 38:8 Je ferai reculer de dix degrés en arrière avec le soleil l'ombre des degrés qui est descendue sur les degrés d'Achaz. Et le soleil recula de dix degrés sur les degrés où il était descendu.(F) Isa 38:8 Siehe ich will den Schatten am Sonnenzeiger des Ahas zehn Stufen zurückziehen, über welche er gelaufen ist. Und die Sonne lief zehn Stufen zurück am Zeiger, über welche sie gelaufen war.(D) Isa 38:8 τὴν σκιὰν τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν οὓς κατέβη ὁ ἥλιος τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμοὺς τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ πατρός σου ἀποστρέψω τὸν ἥλιον τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμούς καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ ἥλιος τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμούς οὓς κατέβη ἡ σκιά(lxx) Isa 38:8 Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward." So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:9 ============ Isa 38:9 A writing of Hezekiah king of Judah after his illness and recovery:(nasb) Isa 38:9 Scriptura Ezechiæ, regis Juda, cum ægrotasset et convaluisset de infirmitate sua.(vulgate) Isaías 38:9 Escritura de Ezequías rey de Judá, de cuando enfermó y fue sanado de su enfermedad.(E) Ésaïe 38:9 Cantique d'Ezéchias, roi de Juda, sur sa maladie et sur son rétablissement.(F) Isa 38:9 Dies ist die Schrift Hiskias, des Königs in Juda, da er krank gewesen und von der Krankheit geheilt worden war.(D) Isa 38:9 προσευχὴ Εζεκιου βασιλέως τῆς Ιουδαίας ἡνίκα ἐμαλακίσθη καὶ ἀνέστη ἐκ τῆς μαλακίας αὐτοῦ(lxx) Isa 38:9 This is the writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and had recovered from his sickness:(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:10 ============ Isa 38:10 I said, "In the middle of my life I am to enter the gates of Sheol; I am to be deprived of the rest of my years."(nasb) Isa 38:10 [Ego dixi in dimidio dierum meorum: Vadam ad portas inferi; quæsivi residuum annorum meorum.(vulgate) Isaías 38:10 Yo dije: En el medio de mis días iré a las puertas del sepulcro: Privado soy del resto de mis años.(E) Ésaïe 38:10 Je disais: Quand mes jours sont en repos, je dois m'en aller Aux portes du séjour des morts. Je suis privé du reste de mes années!(F) Isa 38:10 Ich sprach: Nun muß ich zu der Höllen Pforten fahren in der Mitte meines Lebens, da ich gedachte, noch länger zu leben.(D) Isa 38:10 ἐγὼ εἶπα ἐν τῷ ὕψει τῶν ἡμερῶν μου ἐν πύλαις ᾅδου καταλείψω τὰ ἔτη τὰ ἐπίλοιπα(lxx) Isa 38:10 I said, "In the prime of my life I shall go to the gates of Sheol; I am deprived of the remainder of my years."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:11 ============ Isa 38:11 I said, "I will not see the Lord, The Lord in the land of the living; I will look on man no more among the inhabitants of the world.(nasb) Isa 38:11 Dixi: Non videbo Dominum Deum in terra viventium; non aspiciam hominem ultra, et habitatorem quietis.(vulgate) Isaías 38:11 Dije: No veré a Jehová, a Jehová en la tierra de los vivientes: Ya no veré más hombre con los moradores del mundo.(E) Ésaïe 38:11 Je disais: Je ne verrai plus l'Eternel, L'Eternel, sur la terre des vivants; Je ne verrai plus aucun homme Parmi les habitants du monde!(F) Isa 38:11 Ich sprach: Nun werde ich nicht mehr sehen den HERRN, ja, den HERRN im Lande der Lebendigen; nun werde ich nicht mehr schauen die Menschen bei denen, die ihre Zeit leben.(D) Isa 38:11 εἶπα οὐκέτι μὴ ἴδω τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς οὐκέτι μὴ ἴδω ἄνθρωπον(lxx) Isa 38:11 I said, "I shall not see Yah, The Lord in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:12 ============ Isa 38:12 "Like a shepherd's tent my dwelling is pulled up and removed from me; As a weaver I rolled up my life. He cuts me off from the loom; From day until night You make an end of me.(nasb) Isa 38:12 Generatio mea ablata est, et convoluta est a me, quasi tabernaculum pastorum. Præcisa est velut a texente vita mea; dum adhuc ordirer, succidit me: de mane usque ad vesperam finies me.(vulgate) Isaías 38:12 Mi morada ha sido movida y traspasada de mí, como tienda de pastor. Como el tejedor corté mi vida; me cortará con la enfermedad; me consumirás entre el día y la noche.(E) Ésaïe 38:12 Ma demeure est enlevée et transportée loin de moi, Comme une tente de berger; Je sens le fil de ma vie coupé comme par un tisserand Qui me retrancherait de sa trame. Du jour à la nuit tu m'auras achevé!(F) Isa 38:12 Meine Zeit ist dahin und von mir weggetan wie eines Hirten Hütte. Ich reiße mein Leben ab wie ein Weber; er bricht mich ab wie einen dünnen Faden; du machst's mit mir ein Ende den Tag vor Abend.(D) Isa 38:12 ἐκ τῆς συγγενείας μου κατέλιπον τὸ λοιπὸν τῆς ζωῆς μου ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ὥσπερ ὁ καταλύων σκηνὴν πήξας τὸ πνεῦμά μου παρ᾽ ἐμοὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἱστὸς ἐρίθου ἐγγιζούσης ἐκτεμεῖν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ παρεδόθην(lxx) Isa 38:12 My life span is gone, Taken from me like a shepherd's tent; I have cut off my life like a weaver. He cuts me off from the loom; From day until night You make an end of me.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:13 ============ Isa 38:13 "I composed my soul until morning. Like a lion--so He breaks all my bones, From day until night You make an end of me.(nasb) Isa 38:13 Sperabam usque ad mane; quasi leo, sic contrivit omnia ossa mea: de mane usque ad vesperam finies me.(vulgate) Isaías 38:13 Contaba yo hasta la mañana. Como un león molió todos mis huesos: De la mañana a la noche me acabarás.(E) Ésaïe 38:13 Je me suis contenu jusqu'au matin; Comme un lion, il brisait tous mes os, Du jour à la nuit tu m'auras achevé!(F) Isa 38:13 Ich dachte: Möchte ich bis morgen Leben! Aber er zerbrach mir alle meine Gebeine wie ein Löwe; denn du machst es mit mir aus den Tag vor Abend.(D) Isa 38:13 ἕως πρωὶ ὡς λέοντι οὕτως τὰ ὀστᾶ μου συνέτριψεν ἀπὸ γὰρ τῆς ἡμέρας ἕως τῆς νυκτὸς παρεδόθην(lxx) Isa 38:13 I have considered until morning-- Like a lion, So He breaks all my bones; From day until night You make an end of me.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:14 ============ Isa 38:14 "Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter; I moan like a dove; My eyes look wistfully to the heights; O Lord, I am oppressed, be my security.(nasb) Isa 38:14 Sicut pullus hirundinis, sic clamabo; meditabor ut columba. Attenuati sunt oculi mei, suspicientes in excelsum. Domine, vim patior: responde pro me.(vulgate) Isaías 38:14 Como la grulla y como la golondrina me quejaba; Gemía como la paloma; mis ojos se cansaron [de mirar] hacia arriba: Jehová, violencia padezco; fortaléceme.(E) Ésaïe 38:14 Je poussais des cris comme une hirondelle en voltigeant, Je gémissais comme la colombe; Mes yeux s'élevaient languissants vers le ciel: O Eternel! je suis dans l'angoisse, secours-moi!(F) Isa 38:14 Ich winselte wie ein Kranich und wie eine Schwalbe und girrte wie eine Taube; meine Augen wollten mir brechen: HERR, ich leide Not; lindere mir's!(D) Isa 38:14 ὡς χελιδών οὕτως φωνήσω καὶ ὡς περιστερά οὕτως μελετήσω ἐξέλιπον γάρ μου οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ τοῦ βλέπειν εἰς τὸ ὕψος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὃς ἐξείλατό με(lxx) Isa 38:14 Like a crane or a swallow, so I chattered; I mourned like a dove; My eyes fail from looking upward. O Lord, I am oppressed; Undertake for me!(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:15 ============ Isa 38:15 "What shall I say? For He has spoken to me, and He Himself has done it; I will wander about all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.(nasb) Isa 38:15 Quid dicam, aut quid respondebit mihi, cum ipse fecerit? Recogitabo tibi omnes annos meos in amaritudine animæ meæ.(vulgate) Isaías 38:15 ¿Qué diré? El que me lo dijo, Él mismo lo ha hecho. Andaré humildemente en la amargura de mi alma, todos mis años.(E) Ésaïe 38:15 Que dirai-je? Il m'a répondu, et il m'a exaucé. Je marcherai humblement jusqu'au terme de mes années, Après avoir été ainsi affligé.(F) Isa 38:15 Was soll ich reden? Er hat mir's zugesagt und hat's auch getan! Ich werde in Demut wandeln all meine Lebtage nach solcher Betrübnis meiner Seele.(D) Isa 38:15 καὶ ἀφείλατό μου τὴν ὀδύνην τῆς ψυχῆς(lxx) Isa 38:15 "What shall I say? He has both spoken to me, And He Himself has done it. I shall walk carefully all my years In the bitterness of my soul.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:16 ============ Isa 38:16 "O Lord, by these things men live, And in all these is the life of my spirit; O restore me to health and let me live!(nasb) Isa 38:16 Domine, si sic vivitur, et in talibus vita spiritus mei, corripies me, et vivificabis me.(vulgate) Isaías 38:16 Oh Señor, por estas cosas [el hombre] vive, y en todas estas cosas está la vida de mi espíritu; Tú pues, me restablecerás, y harás que yo viva.(E) Ésaïe 38:16 Seigneur, c'est par tes bontés qu'on jouit de la vie, C'est par elles que je respire encore; Tu me rétablis, tu me rends à la vie.(F) Isa 38:16 HERR, davon lebt man, und das Leben meines Geistes steht ganz darin; denn du ließest mich wieder stark werden und machtest mich leben.(D) Isa 38:16 κύριε περὶ αὐτῆς γὰρ ἀνηγγέλη σοι καὶ ἐξήγειράς μου τὴν πνοήν καὶ παρακληθεὶς ἔζησα(lxx) Isa 38:16 O Lord, by these things men live; And in all these things is the life of my spirit; So You will restore me and make me live.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:17 ============ Isa 38:17 "Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.(nasb) Isa 38:17 Ecce in pace amaritudo mea amarissima. Tu autem eruisti animam meam ut non periret; projecisti post tergum tuum omnia peccata mea.(vulgate) Isaías 38:17 He aquí amargura grande me sobrevino en la paz; pero por amor a mi alma tú [la libraste] del hoyo de corrupción; porque echaste tras tus espaldas todos mis pecados.(E) Ésaïe 38:17 Voici, mes souffrances mêmes sont devenues mon salut; Tu as pris plaisir à retirer mon âme de la fosse du néant, Car tu as jeté derrière toi tous mes péchés.(F) Isa 38:17 Siehe, um Trost war mir sehr bange. Du aber hast dich meiner Seele herzlich angenommen, daß sie nicht verdürbe; denn du wirfst alle meine Sünden hinter dich zurück.(D) Isa 38:17 εἵλου γάρ μου τὴν ψυχήν ἵνα μὴ ἀπόληται καὶ ἀπέρριψας ὀπίσω μου πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας μου(lxx) Isa 38:17 Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:18 ============ Isa 38:18 "For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.(nasb) Isa 38:18 Quia non infernus confitebitur tibi, neque mors laudabit te: non exspectabunt qui descendunt in lacum veritatem tuam.(vulgate) Isaías 38:18 Porque el sepulcro no te exaltará, [ni] te alabará la muerte; ni los que descienden a la fosa esperarán tu verdad.(E) Ésaïe 38:18 Ce n'est pas le séjour des morts qui te loue, Ce n'est pas la mort qui te célèbre; Ceux qui sont descendus dans la fosse n'espèrent plus en ta fidélité.(F) Isa 38:18 Denn die Hölle lobt dich nicht; so rühmt dich der Tod nicht, und die in die Grube fahren, warten nicht auf deine Wahrheit;(D) Isa 38:18 οὐ γὰρ οἱ ἐν ᾅδου αἰνέσουσίν σε οὐδὲ οἱ ἀποθανόντες εὐλογήσουσίν σε οὐδὲ ἐλπιοῦσιν οἱ ἐν ᾅδου τὴν ἐλεημοσύνην σου(lxx) Isa 38:18 For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 38:19 ============ Isa 38:19 "It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Your faithfulness.(nasb) Isa 38:19 Vivens, vivens ipse confitebitur tibi, sicut et ego hodie; pater filiis notam faciet veritatem tuam.(vulgate) Isaías 38:19 El que vive, el que vive, éste te alabará, como yo hoy: El padre dará a conocer tu verdad a sus hijos.(E) Ésaïe 38:19 Le vivant, le vivant, c'est celui-là qui te loue, Comme moi aujourd'hui; Le père fait connaître à ses enfants ta fidélité.(F) Isa 38:19 sondern allein, die da leben, loben dich, wie ich jetzt tue.
