Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 51:1 ============ Isa 51:1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, Who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn And to the quarry from which you were dug.(nasb) Isa 51:1 [Audite me, qui sequimini quod justum est, et quæritis Dominum; attendite ad petram unde excisi estis, et ad cavernam laci de qua præcisi estis.(vulgate) Isaías 51:1 Oídme, los que seguís justicia, los que buscáis a Jehová; mirad a la roca de donde fuisteis cortados, y al hueco de la cantera [de donde] fuisteis arrancados.(E) Ésaïe 51:1 Ecoutez-moi, vous qui poursuivez la justice, Qui cherchez l'Eternel! Portez les regards sur le rocher d'où vous avez été taillés, Sur le creux de la fosse d'où vous avez été tirés.(F) Isa 51:1 Höret mir zu, die ihr der Gerechtigkeit nachjagt, die ihr den HERRN sucht: Schauet den Fels an, davon ihr gehauen seid, und des Brunnens Gruft, daraus ihr gegraben seid.(D) Isa 51:1 ἀκούσατέ μου οἱ διώκοντες τὸ δίκαιον καὶ ζητοῦντες τὸν κύριον ἐμβλέψατε εἰς τὴν στερεὰν πέτραν ἣν ἐλατομήσατε καὶ εἰς τὸν βόθυνον τοῦ λάκκου ὃν ὠρύξατε(lxx) Isa 51:1 "Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:2 ============ Isa 51:2 "Look to Abraham your father And to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain; When he was but one I called him, Then I blessed him and multiplied him."(nasb) Isa 51:2 Attendite ad Abraham, patrem vestrum, et ad Saram, quæ peperit vos: quia unum vocavi eum, et benedixi ei, et multiplicavi eum.(vulgate) Isaías 51:2 Mirad a Abraham vuestro padre, y a Sara [que] os dio a luz; porque lo llamé solo, y lo bendije, y lo multipliqué.(E) Ésaïe 51:2 Portez les regards sur Abraham votre père, Et sur Sara qui vous a enfantés; Car lui seul je l'ai appelé, Je l'ai béni et multiplié.(F) Isa 51:2 Schauet Abraham an, euren Vater, und Sara, von welcher ihr geboren seid. Denn ich rief ihn, da er noch einzeln war, und segnete ihn und mehrte ihn.(D) Isa 51:2 ἐμβλέψατε εἰς Αβρααμ τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς Σαρραν τὴν ὠδίνουσαν ὑμᾶς ὅτι εἷς ἦν καὶ ἐκάλεσα αὐτὸν καὶ εὐλόγησα αὐτὸν καὶ ἠγάπησα αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπλήθυνα αὐτόν(lxx) Isa 51:2 Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:3 ============ Isa 51:3 Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places. And her wilderness He will make like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in her, Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.(nasb) Isa 51:3 Consolabitur ergo Dominus Sion, et consolabitur omnes ruinas ejus: et ponet desertum ejus quasi delicias, et solitudinem ejus quasi hortum Domini. Gaudium et lætitia invenietur in ea, gratiarum actio et vox laudis.(vulgate) Isaías 51:3 Ciertamente consolará Jehová a Sión; consolará todos sus lugares desolados, y hará su desierto como el Edén, y su soledad como el huerto de Jehová. Gozo y alegría se hallarán en ella, acciones de gracias y la voz de cánticos.(E) Ésaïe 51:3 Ainsi l'Eternel a pitié de Sion, Il a pitié de toutes ses ruines; Il rendra son désert semblable à un Eden, Et sa terre aride à un jardin de l'Eternel. La joie et l'allégresse se trouveront au milieu d'elle, Les actions de grâces et le chant des cantiques.(F) Isa 51:3 Denn der HERR tröstet Zion, er tröstet alle ihre Wüsten und macht ihre Wüste wie Eden und ihr dürres Land wie den Garten des HERRN, daß man Wonne und Freude darin findet, Dank und Lobgesang.(D) Isa 51:3 καὶ σὲ νῦν παρακαλέσω Σιων καὶ παρεκάλεσα πάντα τὰ ἔρημα αὐτῆς καὶ θήσω τὰ ἔρημα αὐτῆς ὡς παράδεισον κυρίου εὐφροσύνην καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα εὑρήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ ἐξομολόγησιν καὶ φωνὴν αἰνέσεως(lxx) Isa 51:3 For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:4 ============ Isa 51:4 "Pay attention to Me, O My people, And give ear to Me, O My nation; For a law will go forth from Me, And I will set My justice for a light of the peoples.(nasb) Isa 51:4 Attendite ad me, popule meus, et tribus mea, me audite: quia lex a me exiet, et judicium meum in lucem populorum requiescet.(vulgate) Isaías 51:4 Estad atentos a mí, pueblo mío, y oídme, nación mía; porque de mí saldrá la ley, y mi juicio descubriré para luz de los pueblos.(E) Ésaïe 51:4 Mon peuple, sois attentif! Ma nation, prête-moi l'oreille! Car la loi sortira de moi, Et j'établirai ma loi pour être la lumière des peuples.(F) Isa 51:4 Merke auf mich, mein Volk, höret mich, meine Leute! denn von mir wird ein Gesetz ausgehen, und mein Recht will ich zum Licht der Völker gar bald stellen.(D) Isa 51:4 ἀκούσατέ μου ἀκούσατε λαός μου καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς πρός με ἐνωτίσασθε ὅτι νόμος παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ ἡ κρίσις μου εἰς φῶς ἐθνῶν(lxx) Isa 51:4 "Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation: For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest As a light of the peoples.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:5 ============ Isa 51:5 "My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait for Me, And for My arm they will wait expectantly.(nasb) Isa 51:5 Prope est justus meus, egressus est salvator meus, et brachia mea populos judicabunt; me insulæ exspectabunt, et brachium meum sustinebunt.(vulgate) Isaías 51:5 Cercana [está] mi justicia, ha salido mi salvación, y mis brazos juzgarán a los pueblos; las islas esperarán en mí, y en mi brazo pondrán su esperanza.(E) Ésaïe 51:5 Ma justice est proche, mon salut va paraître, Et mes bras jugeront les peuples; Les îles espéreront en moi, Elles se confieront en mon bras.(F) Isa 51:5 Denn meine Gerechtigkeit ist nahe, mein Heil zieht aus, und meine Arme werden die Völker richten. Die Inseln harren auf mich und warten auf meinen Arm.(D) Isa 51:5 ἐγγίζει ταχὺ ἡ δικαιοσύνη μου καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ὡς φῶς τὸ σωτήριόν μου καὶ εἰς τὸν βραχίονά μου ἔθνη ἐλπιοῦσιν ἐμὲ νῆσοι ὑπομενοῦσιν καὶ εἰς τὸν βραχίονά μου ἐλπιοῦσιν(lxx) Isa 51:5 My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait upon Me, And on My arm they will trust.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:6 ============ Isa 51:6 "Lift up your eyes to the sky, Then look to the earth beneath; For the sky will vanish like smoke, And the earth will wear out like a garment And its inhabitants will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not wane.(nasb) Isa 51:6 Levate in cælum oculos vestros, et videte sub terra deorsum: quia cæli sicut fumus liquescent, et terra sicut vestimentum atteretur, et habitatores ejus sicut hæc interibunt: salus autem mea in sempiternum erit, et justitia mea non deficiet.(vulgate) Isaías 51:6 Alzad a los cielos vuestros ojos, y mirad abajo a la tierra; porque los cielos serán deshechos como humo, y la tierra se envejecerá como ropa de vestir, y de la misma manera perecerán sus moradores; pero mi salvación será para siempre, mi justicia no perecerá.(E) Ésaïe 51:6 Levez les yeux vers le ciel, et regardez en bas sur la terre! Car les cieux s'évanouiront comme une fumée, La terre tombera en lambeaux comme un vêtement, Et ses habitants périront comme des mouches; Mais mon salut durera éternellement, Et ma justice n'aura point de fin.(F) Isa 51:6 Hebet eure Augen auf gen Himmel und schauet unten auf die Erde. Denn der Himmel wird wie ein Rauch vergehen und die Erde wie ein Kleid veralten, und die darauf wohnen, werden im Nu dahinsterben. Aber mein Heil bleibt ewiglich, und meine Gerechtigkeit wird kein Ende haben.(D) Isa 51:6 ἄρατε εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ὑμῶν καὶ ἐμβλέψατε εἰς τὴν γῆν κάτω ὅτι ὁ οὐρανὸς ὡς καπνὸς ἐστερεώθη ἡ δὲ γῆ ὡς ἱμάτιον παλαιωθήσεται οἱ δὲ κατοικοῦντες τὴν γῆν ὥσπερ ταῦτα ἀποθανοῦνται τὸ δὲ σωτήριόν μου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἔσται ἡ δὲ δικαιοσύνη μου οὐ μὴ ἐκλίπῃ(lxx) Isa 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, And look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not be abolished.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:7 ============ Isa 51:7 "Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My law; Do not fear the reproach of man, Nor be dismayed at their revilings.(nasb) Isa 51:7 Audite me, qui scitis justum, populus meus, lex mea in corde eorum: nolite timere opprobrium hominum, et blasphemias eorum ne metuatis:(vulgate) Isaías 51:7 Oídme, los que conocéis justicia, pueblo en cuyo corazón está mi ley. No temáis afrenta de hombre, ni desmayéis por sus injurias.(E) Ésaïe 51:7 Ecoutez-moi, vous qui connaissez la justice, Peuple, qui as ma loi dans ton coeur! Ne craignez pas l'opprobre des hommes, Et ne tremblez pas devant leurs outrages.(F) Isa 51:7 Höret mir zu, die ihr die Gerechtigkeit kennt, du Volk, in dessen Herzen mein Gesetz ist! Fürchtet euch nicht, wenn euch die Leute schmähen; und wenn sie euch lästern, verzaget nicht!(D) Isa 51:7 ἀκούσατέ μου οἱ εἰδότες κρίσιν λαός μου οὗ ὁ νόμος μου ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν μὴ φοβεῖσθε ὀνειδισμὸν ἀνθρώπων καὶ τῷ φαυλισμῷ αὐτῶν μὴ ἡττᾶσθε(lxx) Isa 51:7 "Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:8 ============ Isa 51:8 "For the moth will eat them like a garment, And the grub will eat them like wool. But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation to all generations."(nasb) Isa 51:8 sicut enim vestimentum, sic comedet eos vermis, et sicut lanam, sic devorabit eos tinea: salus autem mea in sempiternum erit, et justitia mea in generationes generationum.(vulgate) Isaías 51:8 Porque como a vestidura los comerá la polilla, como a lana los comerá el gusano; mas mi justicia permanecerá para siempre, y mi salvación de generación en generación.(E) Ésaïe 51:8 Car la teigne les dévorera comme un vêtement, Et la gerce les rongera comme de la laine; Mais ma justice durera éternellement, Et mon salut s'étendra d'âge en âge.(F) Isa 51:8 Denn die Motten werden sie fressen wie ein Kleid, und Würmer werden sie fressen wie wollenes Tuch; aber meine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewiglich und mein Heil für und für.(D) Isa 51:8 ὥσπερ γὰρ ἱμάτιον βρωθήσεται ὑπὸ χρόνου καὶ ὡς ἔρια βρωθήσεται ὑπὸ σητός ἡ δὲ δικαιοσύνη μου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἔσται τὸ δὲ σωτήριόν μου εἰς γενεὰς γενεῶν(lxx) Isa 51:8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment, And the worm will eat them like wool; But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation from generation to generation."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:9 ============ Isa 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, Who pierced the dragon?(nasb) Isa 51:9 Consurge, consurge, induere fortitudinem, brachium Domini! consurge sicut in diebus antiquis, in generationibus sæculorum. Numquid non tu percussisti superbum, vulnerasti draconem?(vulgate) Isaías 51:9 Despiértate, despiértate, vístete de fortaleza, oh brazo de Jehová; despiértate como en el tiempo antiguo, en las generaciones pasadas. ¿No [eres] tú el que cortó a Rahab, [y] el que hirió al dragón?(E) Ésaïe 51:9 Réveille-toi, réveille-toi! revêts-toi de force, bras de l'Eternel! Réveille-toi, comme aux jours d'autrefois, Dans les anciens âges! N'est-ce pas toi qui abattis l'Egypte, Qui transperças le monstre?(F) Isa 51:9 Wohlauf, wohlauf, ziehe Macht an, du Arm des HERRN! Wohlauf, wie vorzeiten, von alters her! Bist du es nicht, der die Stolzen zerhauen und den Drachen verwundet hat?(D) Isa 51:9 ἐξεγείρου ἐξεγείρου Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔνδυσαι τὴν ἰσχὺν τοῦ βραχίονός σου ἐξεγείρου ὡς ἐν ἀρχῇ ἡμέρας ὡς γενεὰ αἰῶνος οὐ σὺ εἶ(lxx) Isa 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:10 ============ Isa 51:10 Was it not You who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; Who made the depths of the sea a pathway For the redeemed to cross over?(nasb) Isa 51:10 numquid non tu siccasti mare, aquam abyssi vehementis; qui posuisti profundum maris viam, ut transirent liberati?(vulgate) Isaías 51:10 ¿No [eres] tú el que secó el mar, las aguas del gran abismo; el que transformó en camino las profundidades del mar para que pasasen los redimidos?(E) Ésaïe 51:10 N'est-ce pas toi qui mis à sec la mer, Les eaux du grand abîme, Qui frayas dans les profondeurs de la mer Un chemin pour le passage des rachetés?(F) Isa 51:10 Bist du es nicht, der das Meer, der großen Tiefe Wasser, austrocknete, der den Grund des Meeres zum Wege machte, daß die Erlösten dadurchgingen?(D) Isa 51:10 ἡ ἐρημοῦσα θάλασσαν ὕδωρ ἀβύσσου πλῆθος ἡ θεῖσα τὰ βάθη τῆς θαλάσσης ὁδὸν διαβάσεως ῥυομένοις(lxx) Isa 51:10 Are You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:11 ============ Isa 51:11 So the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.(nasb) Isa 51:11 Et nunc qui redempti sunt a Domino, revertentur, et venient in Sion laudantes, et lætitia sempiterna super capita eorum: gaudium et lætitiam tenebunt; fugiet dolor et gemitus.(vulgate) Isaías 51:11 Ciertamente volverán los redimidos de Jehová, volverán a Sión cantando, y gozo perpetuo [habrá] sobre sus cabezas; tendrán gozo y alegría, [y] el dolor y el gemido huirán.(E) Ésaïe 51:11 Ainsi les rachetés de l'Eternel retourneront, Ils iront à Sion avec chants de triomphe, Et une joie éternelle couronnera leur tête; L'allégresse et la joie s'approcheront, La douleur et les gémissements s'enfuiront.(F) Isa 51:11 Also werden die Erlösten des HERRN wiederkehren und gen Zion kommen mit Jauchzen, und ewige Freude wird auf ihrem Haupte sein. Wonne und Freude werden sie ergreifen; aber Trauer und Seufzen wird von ihnen fliehen.(D) Isa 51:11 καὶ λελυτρωμένοις ὑπὸ γὰρ κυρίου ἀποστραφήσονται καὶ ἥξουσιν εἰς Σιων μετ᾽ εὐφροσύνης καὶ ἀγαλλιάματος αἰωνίου ἐπὶ γὰρ τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτῶν ἀγαλλίασις καὶ αἴνεσις καὶ εὐφροσύνη καταλήμψεται αὐτούς ἀπέδρα ὀδύνη καὶ λύπη καὶ στεναγμός(lxx) Isa 51:11 So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:12 ============ Isa 51:12 "I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies And of the son of man who is made like grass,(nasb) Isa 51:12 Ego, ego ipse consolabor vos. Quis tu, ut timeres ab homine mortali, et a filio hominis qui quasi fœnum ita arescet?(vulgate) Isaías 51:12 Yo, yo soy vuestro consolador. ¿Quién eres tú para que tengas temor del hombre, que es mortal, del hijo del hombre, que por heno será contado?(E) Ésaïe 51:12 C'est moi, c'est moi qui vous console. Qui es-tu, pour avoir peur de l'homme mortel, Et du fils de l'homme, pareil à l'herbe?(F) Isa 51:12 Ich, ich bin euer Tröster. Wer bist du denn, daß du dich vor Menschen fürchtest, die doch sterben, und vor Menschenkindern, die wie Gras vergehen,(D) Isa 51:12 ἐγώ εἰμι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ παρακαλῶν σε γνῶθι τίνα εὐλαβηθεῖσα ἐφοβήθης ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου θνητοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ υἱοῦ ἀνθρώπου οἳ ὡσεὶ χόρτος ἐξηράνθησαν(lxx) Isa 51:12 "I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:13 ============ Isa 51:13 That you have forgotten the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth, That you fear continually all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, As he makes ready to destroy? But where is the fury of the oppressor?(nasb) Isa 51:13 Et oblitus es Domini, factoris tui, qui tetendit cælos et fundavit terram; et formidasti jugiter tota die a facie furoris ejus qui te tribulabat, et paraverat ad perdendum. Ubi nunc est furor tribulantis?(vulgate) Isaías 51:13 Y ya te has olvidado de Jehová tu Hacedor, que extendió los cielos y fundó la tierra; y todo el día temiste continuamente del furor del que aflige, cuando se disponía para destruir. Pero, ¿dónde está el furor del que aflige?(E) Ésaïe 51:13 Et tu oublierais l'Eternel, qui t'a fait, Qui a étendu les cieux et fondé la terre! Et tu tremblerais incessamment tout le jour Devant la colère de l'oppresseur, Parce qu'il cherche à détruire! Où donc est la colère de l'oppresseur?(F) Isa 51:13 und vergissest des HERRN, der dich gemacht hat, der den Himmel ausbreitet und die Erde gründet? Du aber fürchtest dich den ganzen Tag vor dem Grimm des Wüterichs, wenn er sich vornimmt zu verderben. Wo bleibt nun der Grimm des Wüterichs?(D) Isa 51:13 καὶ ἐπελάθου θεὸν τὸν ποιήσαντά σε τὸν ποιήσαντα τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ θεμελιώσαντα τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐφόβου ἀεὶ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ θυμοῦ τοῦ θλίβοντός σε ὃν τρόπον γὰρ ἐβουλεύσατο τοῦ ἆραί σε καὶ νῦν ποῦ ὁ θυμὸς τοῦ θλίβοντός σε(lxx) Isa 51:13 And you forget the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth; You have feared continually every day Because of the fury of the oppressor, When he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:14 ============ Isa 51:14 The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking.(nasb) Isa 51:14 Cito veniet gradiens ad aperiendum; et non interficiet usque ad internecionem, nec deficiet panis ejus.(vulgate) Isaías 51:14 El cautivo en exilio se apresura para ser libertado, para no morir en la mazmorra, y que no le falte su pan.(E) Ésaïe 51:14 Bientôt celui qui est courbé sous les fers sera délivré; Il ne mourra pas dans la fosse, Et son pain ne lui manquera pas.(F) Isa 51:14 Der Gefangene wird eilends losgegeben, daß er nicht hinsterbe zur Grube, auch keinen Mangel an Brot habe.(D) Isa 51:14 ἐν γὰρ τῷ σῴζεσθαί σε οὐ στήσεται οὐδὲ χρονιεῖ(lxx) Isa 51:14 The captive exile hastens, that he may be loosed, That he should not die in the pit, And that his bread should not fail.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 51:15 ============ Isa 51:15 For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the Lord of hosts is His name).(nasb) Isa 51:15 Ego autem sum Dominus Deus tuus, qui conturbo mare, et intumescunt fluctus ejus: Dominus exercituum nomen meum.(vulgate) Isaías 51:15 Pero yo [soy] Jehová tu Dios, que agito el mar y hago rugir sus ondas.
