And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?(nasb) Isa 53:1 [Quis credidit auditui nostro? et brachium Domini cui revelatum est?(vulgate) Isaías 53:1 ¿Quién ha creído a nuestro anuncio? ¿Y sobre quién se ha manifestado el brazo de Jehová?(E) Ésaïe 53:1 Qui a cru à ce qui nous était annoncé? Qui a reconnu le bras de l'Eternel?(F) Isa 53:1 Aber wer glaubt unsrer Predigt, und wem wird der Arm des HERRN offenbart?(D) Isa 53:1 κύριε τίς ἐπίστευσεν τῇ ἀκοῇ ἡμῶν καὶ ὁ βραχίων κυρίου τίνι ἀπεκαλύφθη(lxx) Isa 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:2 ============ Isa 53:2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.(nasb) Isa 53:2 Et ascendet sicut virgultum coram eo, et sicut radix de terra sitienti. Non est species ei, neque decor, et vidimus eum, et non erat aspectus, et desideravimus eum:(vulgate) Isaías 53:2 Subirá cual renuevo delante de Él, y como raíz de tierra seca; no hay parecer en Él, ni hermosura; le veremos, mas sin atractivo para que le deseemos.(E) Ésaïe 53:2 Il s'est élevé devant lui comme une faible plante, Comme un rejeton qui sort d'une terre desséchée; Il n'avait ni beauté, ni éclat pour attirer nos regards, Et son aspect n'avait rien pour nous plaire.(F) Isa 53:2 Denn er schoß auf vor ihm wie ein Reis und wie eine Wurzel aus dürrem Erdreich. Er hatte keine Gestalt noch Schöne; wir sahen ihn, aber da war keine Gestalt, die uns gefallen hätte.(D) Isa 53:2 ἀνηγγείλαμεν ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ὡς παιδίον ὡς ῥίζα ἐν γῇ διψώσῃ οὐκ ἔστιν εἶδος αὐτῷ οὐδὲ δόξα καὶ εἴδομεν αὐτόν καὶ οὐκ εἶχεν εἶδος οὐδὲ κάλλος(lxx) Isa 53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:3 ============ Isa 53:3 He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.(nasb) Isa 53:3 despectum, et novissimum virorum, virum dolorum, et scientem infirmitatem, et quasi absconditus vultus ejus et despectus, unde nec reputavimus eum.(vulgate) Isaías 53:3 Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en quebranto; y como que escondimos de Él el rostro, fue menospreciado, y no lo estimamos.(E) Ésaïe 53:3 Méprisé et abandonné des hommes, Homme de douleur et habitué à la souffrance, Semblable à celui dont on détourne le visage, Nous l'avons dédaigné, nous n'avons fait de lui aucun cas.(F) Isa 53:3 Er war der Allerverachtetste und Unwerteste, voller Schmerzen und Krankheit. Er war so verachtet, daß man das Angesicht vor ihm verbarg; darum haben wir ihn für nichts geachtet.(D) Isa 53:3 ἀλλὰ τὸ εἶδος αὐτοῦ ἄτιμον ἐκλεῖπον παρὰ πάντας ἀνθρώπους ἄνθρωπος ἐν πληγῇ ὢν καὶ εἰδὼς φέρειν μαλακίαν ὅτι ἀπέστραπται τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἠτιμάσθη καὶ οὐκ ἐλογίσθη(lxx) Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:4 ============ Isa 53:4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.(nasb) Isa 53:4 Vere languores nostros ipse tulit, et dolores nostros ipse portavit; et nos putavimus eum quasi leprosum, et percussum a Deo, et humiliatum.(vulgate) Isaías 53:4 Ciertamente llevó Él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.(E) Ésaïe 53:4 Cependant, ce sont nos souffrances qu'il a portées, C'est de nos douleurs qu'il s'est chargé; Et nous l'avons considéré comme puni, Frappé de Dieu, et humilié.(F) Isa 53:4 Fürwahr, er trug unsere Krankheit und lud auf sich unsre Schmerzen. Wir aber hielten ihn für den, der geplagt und von Gott geschlagen und gemartert wäre.(D) Isa 53:4 οὗτος τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν φέρει καὶ περὶ ἡμῶν ὀδυνᾶται καὶ ἡμεῖς ἐλογισάμεθα αὐτὸν εἶναι ἐν πόνῳ καὶ ἐν πληγῇ καὶ ἐν κακώσει(lxx) Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:5 ============ Isa 53:5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.(nasb) Isa 53:5 Ipse autem vulneratus est propter iniquitates nostras; attritus est propter scelera nostra: disciplina pacis nostræ super eum, et livore ejus sanati sumus.(vulgate) Isaías 53:5 Mas Él herido [fue] por nuestras transgresiones, molido por nuestros pecados; el castigo de nuestra paz [fue] sobre Él, y por su llaga fuimos nosotros curados.(E) Ésaïe 53:5 Mais il était blessé pour nos péchés, Brisé pour nos iniquités; Le châtiment qui nous donne la paix est tombé sur lui, Et c'est par ses meurtrissures que nous sommes guéris.(F) Isa 53:5 Aber er ist um unsrer Missetat willen verwundet und um unsrer Sünde willen zerschlagen. Die Strafe liegt auf ihm, auf daß wir Frieden hätten, und durch seine Wunden sind wir geheilt.(D) Isa 53:5 αὐτὸς δὲ ἐτραυματίσθη διὰ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν καὶ μεμαλάκισται διὰ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν παιδεία εἰρήνης ἡμῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν τῷ μώλωπι αὐτοῦ ἡμεῖς ἰάθημεν(lxx) Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:6 ============ Isa 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.(nasb) Isa 53:6 Omnes nos quasi oves erravimus, unusquisque in viam suam declinavit: et posuit Dominus in eo iniquitatem omnium nostrum.(vulgate) Isaías 53:6 Todos nosotros nos descarriamos como ovejas, cada cual se apartó por su camino; mas Jehová cargó en Él el pecado de todos nosotros.(E) Ésaïe 53:6 Nous étions tous errants comme des brebis, Chacun suivait sa propre voie; Et l'Eternel a fait retomber sur lui l'iniquité de nous tous.(F) Isa 53:6 Wir gingen alle in der Irre wie Schafe, ein jeglicher sah auf seinen Weg; aber der HERR warf unser aller Sünde auf ihn.(D) Isa 53:6 πάντες ὡς πρόβατα ἐπλανήθημεν ἄνθρωπος τῇ ὁδῷ αὐτοῦ ἐπλανήθη καὶ κύριος παρέδωκεν αὐτὸν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ἡμῶν(lxx) Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:7 ============ Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.(nasb) Isa 53:7 Oblatus est quia ipse voluit, et non aperuit os suum; sicut ovis ad occisionem ducetur, et quasi agnus coram tondente se obmutescet, et non aperiet os suum.(vulgate) Isaías 53:7 Angustiado Él, y afligido, no abrió su boca; como cordero fue llevado al matadero; y como oveja delante de sus trasquiladores, enmudeció, y no abrió su boca.(E) Ésaïe 53:7 Il a été maltraité et opprimé, Et il n'a point ouvert la bouche, Semblable à un agneau qu'on mène à la boucherie, A une brebis muette devant ceux qui la tondent; Il n'a point ouvert la bouche.(F) Isa 53:7 Da er gestraft und gemartert ward, tat er seinen Mund nicht auf wie ein Lamm, das zur Schlachtbank geführt wird, und wie ein Schaf, das verstummt vor seinem Scherer und seinen Mund nicht auftut.(D) Isa 53:7 καὶ αὐτὸς διὰ τὸ κεκακῶσθαι οὐκ ἀνοίγει τὸ στόμα ὡς πρόβατον ἐπὶ σφαγὴν ἤχθη καὶ ὡς ἀμνὸς ἐναντίον τοῦ κείροντος αὐτὸν ἄφωνος οὕτως οὐκ ἀνοίγει τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ(lxx) Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:8 ============ Isa 53:8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?(nasb) Isa 53:8 De angustia, et de judicio sublatus est. Generationem ejus quis enarrabit? quia abscissus est de terra viventium: propter scelus populi mei percussi eum.(vulgate) Isaías 53:8 De la cárcel y del juicio fue quitado; y su generación ¿quién la contará? Porque cortado fue de la tierra de los vivientes; por la rebelión de mi pueblo fue herido.(E) Ésaïe 53:8 Il a été enlevé par l'angoisse et le châtiment; Et parmi ceux de sa génération, qui a cru Qu'il était retranché de la terre des vivants Et frappé pour les péchés de mon peuple?(F) Isa 53:8 Er aber ist aus Angst und Gericht genommen; wer will seines Lebens Länge ausreden? Denn er ist aus dem Lande der Lebendigen weggerissen, da er um die Missetat meines Volkes geplagt war.(D) Isa 53:8 ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει ἡ κρίσις αὐτοῦ ἤρθη τὴν γενεὰν αὐτοῦ τίς διηγήσεται ὅτι αἴρεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἡ ζωὴ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀνομιῶν τοῦ λαοῦ μου ἤχθη εἰς θάνατον(lxx) Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:9 ============ Isa 53:9 His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.(nasb) Isa 53:9 Et dabit impios pro sepultura, et divitem pro morte sua, eo quod iniquitatem non fecerit, neque dolus fuerit in ore ejus.(vulgate) Isaías 53:9 Y se dispuso con los impíos su sepultura, mas con los ricos fue en su muerte; aunque Él nunca hizo maldad, ni [hubo] engaño en su boca.(E) Ésaïe 53:9 On a mis son sépulcre parmi les méchants, Son tombeau avec le riche, Quoiqu'il n'eût point commis de violence Et qu'il n'y eût point de fraude dans sa bouche.(F) Isa 53:9 Und man gab ihm bei Gottlosen sein Grab und bei Reichen, da er gestorben war, wiewohl er niemand Unrecht getan hat noch Betrug in seinem Munde gewesen ist.(D) Isa 53:9 καὶ δώσω τοὺς πονηροὺς ἀντὶ τῆς ταφῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς πλουσίους ἀντὶ τοῦ θανάτου αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἀνομίαν οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὐδὲ εὑρέθη δόλος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ(lxx) Isa 53:9 And they made His grave with the wicked-- But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:10 ============ Isa 53:10 But the Lord was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.(nasb) Isa 53:10 Et Dominus voluit conterere eum in infirmitate. Si posuerit pro peccato animam suam, videbit semen longævum, et voluntas Domini in manu ejus dirigetur.(vulgate) Isaías 53:10 Con todo eso, Jehová quiso quebrantarlo, sujetándole a padecimiento. Cuando hubiere puesto su alma en expiación por el pecado, verá [su] linaje, prolongará [sus] días, y la voluntad de Jehová será en su mano prosperada.(E) Ésaïe 53:10 Il a plu à l'Eternel de le briser par la souffrance... Après avoir livré sa vie en sacrifice pour le péché, Il verra une postérité et prolongera ses jours; Et l'oeuvre de l'Eternel prospérera entre ses mains.(F) Isa 53:10 Aber der HERR wollte ihn also zerschlagen mit Krankheit. Wenn er sein Leben zum Schuldopfer gegeben hat, so wird er Samen haben und in die Länge leben, und des HERRN Vornehmen wird durch seine Hand fortgehen.(D) Isa 53:10 καὶ κύριος βούλεται καθαρίσαι αὐτὸν τῆς πληγῆς ἐὰν δῶτε περὶ ἁμαρτίας ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν ὄψεται σπέρμα μακρόβιον καὶ βούλεται κύριος ἀφελεῖν(lxx) Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:11 ============ Isa 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.(nasb) Isa 53:11 Pro eo quod laboravit anima ejus, videbit et saturabitur. In scientia sua justificabit ipse justus servus meus multos, et iniquitates eorum ipse portabit.(vulgate) Isaías 53:11 Del trabajo de su alma verá y será saciado. Por su conocimiento justificará mi siervo justo a muchos, y Él llevará las iniquidades de ellos.(E) Ésaïe 53:11 A cause du travail de son âme, il rassasiera ses regards; Par sa connaissance mon serviteur juste justifiera beaucoup d'hommes, Et il se chargera de leurs iniquités.(F) Isa 53:11 Darum, daß seine Seele gearbeitet hat, wird er seine Lust sehen und die Fülle haben. Und durch seine Erkenntnis wird er, mein Knecht, der Gerechte, viele gerecht machen; denn er trägt ihr Sünden.(D) Isa 53:11 ἀπὸ τοῦ πόνου τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ δεῖξαι αὐτῷ φῶς καὶ πλάσαι τῇ συνέσει δικαιῶσαι δίκαιον εὖ δουλεύοντα πολλοῖς καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν αὐτὸς ἀνοίσει(lxx) Isa 53:11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 53:12 ============ Isa 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.(nasb) Isa 53:12 Ideo dispertiam ei plurimos, et fortium dividet spolia, pro eo quod tradidit in mortem animam suam, et cum sceleratis reputatus est, et ipse peccata multorum tulit, et pro transgressoribus rogavit.](vulgate) Isaías 53:12 Por tanto, yo le daré [parte] con los grandes, y con los fuertes repartirá despojos; por cuanto derramó su alma hasta la muerte, y fue contado con los transgresores; y Él llevó el pecado de muchos e hizo intercesión por los transgresores.(E) Ésaïe 53:12 C'est pourquoi je lui donnerai sa part avec les grands; Il partagera le butin avec les puissants, Parce qu'il s'est livré lui-même à la mort, Et qu'il a été mis au nombre des malfaiteurs, Parce qu'il a porté les péchés de beaucoup d'hommes, Et qu'il a intercédé pour les coupables.(F) Isa 53:12 Darum will ich ihm große Menge zur Beute geben, und er soll die Starken zum Raube haben, darum daß er sein Leben in den Tod gegeben hat und den Übeltätern gleich gerechnet ist und er vieler Sünde getragen hat und für die Übeltäter gebeten.(D) Isa 53:12 διὰ τοῦτο αὐτὸς κληρονομήσει πολλοὺς καὶ τῶν ἰσχυρῶν μεριεῖ σκῦλα ἀνθ᾽ ὧν παρεδόθη εἰς θάνατον ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀνόμοις ἐλογίσθη καὶ αὐτὸς ἁμαρτίας πολλῶν ἀνήνεγκεν καὶ διὰ τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν παρεδόθη(lxx) Isa 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 54:1 ============ top of the page
