Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 56:1 ============ Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord, "Preserve justice and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come And My righteousness to be revealed.(nasb) Isa 56:1 [Hæc dicit Dominus: Custodite judicium, et facite justitiam, quia juxta est salus mea ut veniat, et justitia mea ut reveletur.(vulgate) Isaías 56:1 Así dice Jehová: Guardad derecho, y haced justicia; porque cercana [está] mi salvación para venir, y mi justicia para ser revelada.(E) Ésaïe 56:1 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Observez ce qui est droit, et pratiquez ce qui est juste; Car mon salut ne tardera pas à venir, Et ma justice à se manifester.(F) Isa 56:1 So spricht der HERR: Haltet das Recht und tut Gerechtigkeit; denn mein Heil ist nahe, daß es komme, und meine Gerechtigkeit, daß sie offenbart werde.(D) Isa 56:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος φυλάσσεσθε κρίσιν ποιήσατε δικαιοσύνην ἤγγισεν γὰρ τὸ σωτήριόν μου παραγίνεσθαι καὶ τὸ ἔλεός μου ἀποκαλυφθῆναι(lxx) Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord: "Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:2 ============ Isa 56:2 "How blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil."(nasb) Isa 56:2 Beatus vir qui facit hoc, et filius hominis qui apprehendet istud, custodiens sabbatum ne polluat illud, custodiens manus suas ne faciat omne malum.(vulgate) Isaías 56:2 Bienaventurado el hombre que esto hiciere, y el hijo del hombre que esto abrazare; que guarda el sábado de profanarlo, y que guarda su mano de hacer el mal.(E) Ésaïe 56:2 Heureux l'homme qui fait cela, Et le fils de l'homme qui y demeure ferme, Gardant le sabbat, pour ne point le profaner, Et veillant sur sa main, pour ne commettre aucun mal!(F) Isa 56:2 Wohl dem Menschen, der solches tut, und dem Menschenkind, der es festhält, daß er den Sabbat halte und nicht entheilige und halte seine Hand, daß er kein Arges tue!(D) Isa 56:2 μακάριος ἀνὴρ ὁ ποιῶν ταῦτα καὶ ἄνθρωπος ὁ ἀντεχόμενος αὐτῶν καὶ φυλάσσων τὰ σάββατα μὴ βεβηλοῦν καὶ διατηρῶν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ μὴ ποιεῖν ἀδίκημα(lxx) Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:3 ============ Isa 56:3 Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, "The Lord will surely separate me from His people." Nor let the eunuch say, "Behold, I am a dry tree."(nasb) Isa 56:3 Et non dicat filius advenæ qui adhæret Domino, dicens: Separatione dividet me Dominus a populo suo; et non dicat eunuchus: Ecce ego lignum aridum.(vulgate) Isaías 56:3 Y el hijo del extranjero, que se ha adherido a Jehová, no hable diciendo: Jehová me apartó totalmente de su pueblo. Ni diga el eunuco: He aquí yo [soy] árbol seco.(E) Ésaïe 56:3 Que l'étranger qui s'attache à l'Eternel ne dise pas: L'Eternel me séparera de son peuple! Et que l'eunuque ne dise pas: Voici, je suis un arbre sec!(F) Isa 56:3 Und der Fremde, der zum HERRN sich getan hat, soll nicht sagen: Der HERR wird mich scheiden von seinem Volk; und der Verschnittene soll nicht sagen: Siehe, ich bin ein dürrer Baum.(D) Isa 56:3 μὴ λεγέτω ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσκείμενος πρὸς κύριον ἀφοριεῖ με ἄρα κύριος ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ λεγέτω ὁ εὐνοῦχος ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ξύλον ξηρόν(lxx) Isa 56:3 Do not let the son of the foreigner Who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying, "The Lord has utterly separated me from His people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "Here I am, a dry tree."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:4 ============ Isa 56:4 For thus says the Lord, "To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,(nasb) Isa 56:4 Quia hæc dicit Dominus eunuchis: Qui custodierint sabbata mea, et elegerint quæ ego volui, et tenuerint fœdus meum,(vulgate) Isaías 56:4 Porque así dice Jehová a los eunucos que guardaren mis sábados, y escogieren [lo] que yo quiero, y abrazaren mi pacto:(E) Ésaïe 56:4 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: Aux eunuques qui garderont mes sabbats, Qui choisiront ce qui m'est agréable, Et qui persévéreront dans mon alliance,(F) Isa 56:4 Denn so spricht der HERR von den Verschnittenen, welche meine Sabbate halten und erwählen, was mir wohl gefällt, und meinen Bund fest fassen:(D) Isa 56:4 τάδε λέγει κύριος τοῖς εὐνούχοις ὅσοι ἂν φυλάξωνται τὰ σάββατά μου καὶ ἐκλέξωνται ἃ ἐγὼ θέλω καὶ ἀντέχωνται τῆς διαθήκης μου(lxx) Isa 56:4 For thus says the Lord: "To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:5 ============ Isa 56:5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.(nasb) Isa 56:5 dabo eis in domo mea et in muris meis locum, et nomen melius a filiis et filiabus: nomen sempiternum dabo eis, quod non peribit.(vulgate) Isaías 56:5 Yo les daré lugar en mi casa y dentro de mis muros, y nombre mejor que el de hijos e hijas; nombre perpetuo les daré que nunca perecerá.(E) Ésaïe 56:5 Je donnerai dans ma maison et dans mes murs une place et un nom Préférables à des fils et à des filles; Je leur donnerai un nom éternel, Qui ne périra pas.(F) Isa 56:5 Ich will ihnen in meinem Hause und in meinen Mauern einen Ort und einen Namen geben, besser denn Söhne und Töchter; einen ewigen Namen will ich ihnen geben, der nicht vergehen soll.(D) Isa 56:5 δώσω αὐτοῖς ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ μου καὶ ἐν τῷ τείχει μου τόπον ὀνομαστὸν κρείττω υἱῶν καὶ θυγατέρων ὄνομα αἰώνιον δώσω αὐτοῖς καὶ οὐκ ἐκλείψει(lxx) Isa 56:5 Even to them I will give in My house And within My walls a place and a name Better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:6 ============ Isa 56:6 "Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant;(nasb) Isa 56:6 Et filios advenæ, qui adhærent Domino, ut colant eum, et diligant nomen ejus, ut sint ei in servos; omnem custodientem sabbatum ne polluat illud, et tenentem fœdus meum;(vulgate) Isaías 56:6 Y a los hijos de los extranjeros que se adhirieren a Jehová para servirle, y que amaren el nombre de Jehová para ser sus siervos; a todos los que guardaren el sábado de profanarlo, y abrazaren mi pacto,(E) Ésaïe 56:6 Et les étrangers qui s'attacheront à l'Eternel pour le servir, Pour aimer le nom de l'Eternel, Pour être ses serviteurs, Tous ceux qui garderont le sabbat, pour ne point le profaner, Et qui persévéreront dans mon alliance,(F) Isa 56:6 Und die Fremden, die sich zum HERR getan haben, daß sie ihm dienen und seinen Namen lieben, auf daß sie seine Knechte seien, ein jeglicher, der den Sabbat hält, daß er ihn nicht entweihe, und meinen Bund festhält,(D) Isa 56:6 καὶ τοῖς ἀλλογενέσι τοῖς προσκειμένοις κυρίῳ δουλεύειν αὐτῷ καὶ ἀγαπᾶν τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τοῦ εἶναι αὐτῷ εἰς δούλους καὶ δούλας καὶ πάντας τοὺς φυλασσομένους τὰ σάββατά μου μὴ βεβηλοῦν καὶ ἀντεχομένους τῆς διαθήκης μου(lxx) Isa 56:6 "Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants-- Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant--(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:7 ============ Isa 56:7 Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples."(nasb) Isa 56:7 adducam eos in montem sanctum meum, et lætificabo eos in domo orationis meæ; holocausta eorum et victimæ eorum placebunt mihi super altari meo, quia domus mea domus orationis vocabitur cunctis populis.(vulgate) Isaías 56:7 yo los llevaré a mi santo monte, y haré que se regocijen en mi casa de oración; sus holocaustos y sus sacrificios [serán] aceptos sobre mi altar; porque mi casa, casa de oración será llamada para todos los pueblos.(E) Ésaïe 56:7 Je les amènerai sur ma montagne sainte, Et je les réjouirai dans ma maison de prière; Leurs holocaustes et leurs sacrifices seront agréés sur mon autel; Car ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour tous les peuples.(F) Isa 56:7 die will ich zu meinem heiligen Berge bringen und will sie erfreuen in meinem Bethause, und ihre Opfer und Brandopfer sollen mir angenehm sein auf meinem Altar; denn mein Haus wird heißen ein Bethaus allen Völkern.(D) Isa 56:7 εἰσάξω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἅγιόν μου καὶ εὐφρανῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τῆς προσευχῆς μου τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν ἔσονται δεκταὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου μου ὁ γὰρ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν(lxx) Isa 56:7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:8 ============ Isa 56:8 The Lord God, who gathers the dispersed of Israel, declares, "Yet others I will gather to them, to those already gathered."(nasb) Isa 56:8 Ait Dominus Deus, qui congregat dispersos Israël: Adhuc congregabo ad eum congregatos ejus.]~(vulgate) Isaías 56:8 Dice el Señor Jehová, el que reúne a los dispersos de Israel: Aun reuniré [otros] a él; además de los que están a él congregados.(E) Ésaïe 56:8 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, parle, Lui qui rassemble les exilés d'Israël: Je réunirai d'autres peuples à lui, aux siens déjà rassemblés.(F) Isa 56:8 Der HERR HERR, der die Verstoßenen aus Israel sammelt, spricht: Ich will noch mehr zu dem Haufen derer, die versammelt sind, sammeln.(D) Isa 56:8 εἶπεν κύριος ὁ συνάγων τοὺς διεσπαρμένους Ισραηλ ὅτι συνάξω ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν συναγωγήν(lxx) Isa 56:8 The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, "Yet I will gather to him Others besides those who are gathered to him."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:9 ============ Isa 56:9 All you beasts of the field, All you beasts in the forest, Come to eat.(nasb) Isa 56:9 [Omnes bestiæ agri, venite ad devorandum, universæ bestiæ saltus.(vulgate) Isaías 56:9 Todas las bestias del campo, todas las bestias del monte, venid a devorar.(E) Ésaïe 56:9 Vous toutes, bêtes des champs, Venez pour manger, vous toutes, bêtes de la forêt!(F) Isa 56:9 Alle Tiere auf dem Felde, kommet, und fresset, ja alle Tiere im Walde!(D) Isa 56:9 πάντα τὰ θηρία τὰ ἄγρια δεῦτε φάγετε πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ δρυμοῦ(lxx) Isa 56:9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, All you beasts in the forest.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:10 ============ Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;(nasb) Isa 56:10 Speculatores ejus cæci omnes; nescierunt universi: canes muti non valentes latrare, videntes vana, dormientes, et amantes somnia.(vulgate) Isaías 56:10 Sus atalayas ciegos [son], todos ellos ignorantes; todos [son] perros mudos que no pueden ladrar; somnolientos, echados, aman el dormir.(E) Ésaïe 56:10 Ses gardiens sont tous aveugles, sans intelligence; Ils sont tous des chiens muets, incapables d'aboyer; Ils ont des rêveries, se tiennent couchés, Aiment à sommeiller.(F) Isa 56:10 Alle ihre Wächter sind blind, sie wissen nichts; stumme Hunde sind sie, die nicht strafen können, sind faul, liegen und schlafen gerne.(D) Isa 56:10 ἴδετε ὅτι πάντες ἐκτετύφλωνται οὐκ ἔγνωσαν φρονῆσαι πάντες κύνες ἐνεοί οὐ δυνήσονται ὑλακτεῖν ἐνυπνιαζόμενοι κοίτην φιλοῦντες νυστάξαι(lxx) Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:11 ============ Isa 56:11 And the dogs are greedy, they are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one.(nasb) Isa 56:11 Et canes imprudentissimi nescierunt saturitatem; ipsi pastores ignoraverunt intelligentiam: omnes in viam suam declinaverunt; unusquisque ad avaritiam suam, a summo usque ad novissimum.(vulgate) Isaías 56:11 Sí, [ellos son] perros comilones e insaciables; y [son] pastores [que] no pueden entender: todos ellos miran por sus propios caminos, cada uno busca su propio provecho, cada uno por su lado.(E) Ésaïe 56:11 Et ce sont des chiens voraces, insatiables; Ce sont des bergers qui ne savent rien comprendre; Tous suivent leur propre voie, Chacun selon son intérêt, jusqu'au dernier: -(F) Isa 56:11 Es sind aber gierige Hunde, die nimmer satt werden können. Sie, die Hirten wissen keinen Verstand; ein jeglicher sieht auf seinen Weg, ein jeglicher geizt für sich in seinem Stande.(D) Isa 56:11 καὶ οἱ κύνες ἀναιδεῖς τῇ ψυχῇ οὐκ εἰδότες πλησμονήν καί εἰσιν πονηροὶ οὐκ εἰδότες σύνεσιν πάντες ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν ἐξηκολούθησαν ἕκαστος κατὰ τὸ ἑαυτοῦ(lxx) Isa 56:11 Yes, they are greedy dogs Which never have enough. And they are shepherds Who cannot understand; They all look to their own way, Every one for his own gain, From his own territory.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:12 ============ Isa 56:12 "Come," they say, "let us get wine, and let us drink heavily of strong drink; And tomorrow will be like today, only more so."(nasb) Isa 56:12 Venite, sumamus vinum, et impleamur ebrietate; et erit sicut hodie, sic et cras, et multo amplius.](vulgate) Isaías 56:12 Venid, [dicen], tomaré vino, embriaguémonos de licor; y será el día de mañana como éste, o mucho más excelente.(E) Ésaïe 56:12 Venez, je vais chercher du vin, Et nous boirons des liqueurs fortes!
