Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.(nasb) Isa 55:1 [Omnes sitientes, venite ad aquas, et qui non habetis argentum, properate, emite, et comedite: venite, emite absque argento et absque ulla commutatione vinum et lac.(vulgate) Isaías 55:1 A todos los sedientos: Venid a las aguas; y los que no tienen dinero, venid, comprad, y comed. Venid, comprad, sin dinero y sin precio, vino y leche.(E) Ésaïe 55:1 Vous tous qui avez soif, venez aux eaux, Même celui qui n'a pas d'argent! Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance.(nasb) Isa 55:2 Quare appenditis argentum non in panibus, et laborem vestrum non in saturitate? Audite, audientes me, et comedite bonum, et delectabitur in crassitudine anima vestra.(vulgate) Isaías 55:2 ¿Por qué gastáis el dinero en [lo que] no [es] pan, y vuestro trabajo [en lo que] no satisface? Oídme atentamente, y comed del bien, y se deleitará vuestra alma con grosura.(E) Ésaïe 55:2 Pourquoi pesez-vous de l'argent pour ce qui ne nourrit pas? Pourquoi travaillez-vous pour ce qui ne rassasie pas? Ecoutez-moi donc, et vous mangerez ce qui est bon, Et votre âme se délectera de mets succulents.(F) Isa 55:2 Warum zählet ihr Geld dar, da kein Brot ist und tut Arbeit, davon ihr nicht satt werden könnt? Höret mir doch zu und esset das Gute, so wird eure Seele am Fetten ihre Lust haben.(D) Isa 55:2 ἵνα τί τιμᾶσθε ἀργυρίου καὶ τὸν μόχθον ὑμῶν οὐκ εἰς πλησμονήν ἀκούσατέ μου καὶ φάγεσθε ἀγαθά καὶ ἐντρυφήσει ἐν ἀγαθοῖς ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν(lxx) Isa 55:2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.(nasb) Isa 55:3 Inclinate aurem vestram, et venite ad me; audite, et vivet anima vestra, et feriam vobiscum pactum sempiternum, misericordias David fideles.(vulgate) Isaías 55:3 Inclinad vuestros oídos, y venid a mí; oíd, y vivirá vuestra alma; y haré con vosotros pacto eterno, las misericordias firmes a David.(E) Ésaïe 55:3 Prêtez l'oreille, et venez à moi, Ecoutez, et votre âme vivra: Je traiterai avec vous une alliance éternelle, Pour rendre durables mes faveurs envers David.(F) Isa 55:3 Neiget eure Ohren her und kommet her zu mir, höret, so wird eure Seele leben; denn ich will mit euch einen ewigen Bund machen, daß ich euch gebe die gewissen Gnaden Davids.(D) Isa 55:3 προσέχετε τοῖς ὠτίοις ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπακολουθήσατε ταῖς ὁδοῖς μου ἐπακούσατέ μου καὶ ζήσεται ἐν ἀγαθοῖς ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν καὶ διαθήσομαι ὑμῖν διαθήκην αἰώνιον τὰ ὅσια Δαυιδ τὰ πιστά(lxx) Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you-- The sure mercies of David.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:4 ============ Isa 55:4 "Behold, I have made him a witness to the peoples, A leader and commander for the peoples.(nasb) Isa 55:4 Ecce testem populis dedi eum, ducem ac præceptorem gentibus.(vulgate) Isaías 55:4 He aquí, que yo lo di por testigo a los pueblos, por jefe y por maestro a las naciones.(E) Ésaïe 55:4 Voici, je l'ai établi comme témoin auprès des peuples, Comme chef et dominateur des peuples.(F) Isa 55:4 Siehe, ich habe ihn den Leuten zum Zeugen gestellt, zum Fürsten und Gebieter den Völkern.(D) Isa 55:4 ἰδοὺ μαρτύριον ἐν ἔθνεσιν δέδωκα αὐτόν ἄρχοντα καὶ προστάσσοντα ἔθνεσιν(lxx) Isa 55:4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:5 ============ Isa 55:5 "Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, And a nation which knows you not will run to you, Because of the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you."(nasb) Isa 55:5 Ecce gentem quam nesciebas vocabis, et gentes quæ te non cognoverunt ad te current, propter Dominum Deum tuum, et Sanctum Israël, quia glorificavit te.(vulgate) Isaías 55:5 He aquí, llamarás a gente que no conociste, y gentes que no te conocieron correrán a ti; por causa de Jehová tu Dios, y del Santo de Israel que te ha honrado.(E) Ésaïe 55:5 Voici, tu appelleras des nations que tu ne connais pas, Et les nations qui ne te connaissent pas accourront vers toi, A cause de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, Du Saint d'Israël, qui te glorifie.(F) Isa 55:5 Siehe, du wirst Heiden rufen, die du nicht kennst; und Heiden, die dich nicht kennen, werden zu dir laufen um des HERRN willen, deines Gottes, und des Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.(D) Isa 55:5 ἔθνη ἃ οὐκ ᾔδεισάν σε ἐπικαλέσονταί σε καὶ λαοί οἳ οὐκ ἐπίστανταί σε ἐπὶ σὲ καταφεύξονται ἕνεκεν τοῦ θεοῦ σου τοῦ ἁγίου Ισραηλ ὅτι ἐδόξασέν σε(lxx) Isa 55:5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; Invoquez-le, tandis qu'il est près.(F) Isa 55:6 Suchet den HERRN, solange er zu finden ist; rufet ihn an, solange er nahe ist.(D) Isa 55:6 ζητήσατε τὸν θεὸν καὶ ἐν τῷ εὑρίσκειν αὐτὸν ἐπικαλέσασθε ἡνίκα δ᾽ ἂν ἐγγίζῃ ὑμῖν(lxx) Isa 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:7 ============ Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.(nasb) Isa 55:7 Derelinquat impius viam suam, et vir iniquus cogitationes suas, et revertatur ad Dominum, et miserebitur ejus; et ad Deum nostrum, quoniam multus est ad ignoscendum.(vulgate) Isaías 55:7 Deje el impío su camino, y el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos; y vuélvase a Jehová, el cual tendrá de él misericordia, y al Dios nuestro, el cual será amplio en perdonar.(E) Ésaïe 55:7 Que le méchant abandonne sa voie, Et l'homme d'iniquité ses pensées; Qu'il retourne à l'Eternel, qui aura pitié de lui, A notre Dieu, qui ne se lasse pas de pardonner.(F) Isa 55:7 Der Gottlose lasse von seinem Wege und der Übeltäter seine Gedanken und bekehre sich zum HERRN, so wird er sich sein erbarmen, und zu unserm Gott, denn bei ihm ist viel Vergebung.(D) Isa 55:7 ἀπολιπέτω ὁ ἀσεβὴς τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνὴρ ἄνομος τὰς βουλὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιστραφήτω ἐπὶ κύριον καὶ ἐλεηθήσεται ὅτι ἐπὶ πολὺ ἀφήσει τὰς ἁμαρτίας ὑμῶν(lxx) Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:8 ============ Isa 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the Lord.(nasb) Isa 55:8 Non enim cogitationes meæ cogitationes vestræ, neque viæ vestræ viæ meæ, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Isaías 55:8 Porque mis pensamientos no [son] vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos mis caminos, dice Jehová.(E) Ésaïe 55:8 Car mes pensées ne sont pas vos pensées, Et vos voies ne sont pas mes voies, Dit l'Eternel.(F) Isa 55:8 Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken, und eure Wege sind nicht meine Wege, spricht der HERR;(D) Isa 55:8 οὐ γάρ εἰσιν αἱ βουλαί μου ὥσπερ αἱ βουλαὶ ὑμῶν οὐδὲ ὥσπερ αἱ ὁδοὶ ὑμῶν αἱ ὁδοί μου λέγει κύριος(lxx) Isa 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:9 ============ Isa 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.(nasb) Isa 55:9 Quia sicut exaltantur cæli a terra, sic exaltatæ sunt viæ meæ a viis vestris, et cogitationes meæ a cogitationibus vestris.(vulgate) Isaías 55:9 Como son más altos los cielos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que vuestros caminos, y mis pensamientos más que vuestros pensamientos.(E) Ésaïe 55:9 Autant les cieux sont élevés au-dessus de la terre, Autant mes voies sont élevées au-dessus de vos voies, Et mes pensées au-dessus de vos pensées.(F) Isa 55:9 sondern soviel der Himmel höher ist denn die Erde, so sind auch meine Wege höher denn eure Wege und meine Gedanken denn eure Gedanken.(D) Isa 55:9 ἀλλ᾽ ὡς ἀπέχει ὁ οὐρανὸς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς οὕτως ἀπέχει ἡ ὁδός μου ἀπὸ τῶν ὁδῶν ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ διανοήματα ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τῆς διανοίας μου(lxx) Isa 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:10 ============ Isa 55:10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;(nasb) Isa 55:10 Et quomodo descendit imber et nix de cælo, et illuc ultra non revertitur, sed inebriat terram, et infundit eam, et germinare eam facit, et dat semen serenti, et panem comedenti:(vulgate) Isaías 55:10 Porque como desciende de los cielos la lluvia, y la nieve, y no vuelve allá, sino que riega la tierra, y la hace germinar y producir, y da semilla al que siembra y pan al que come,(E) Ésaïe 55:10 Comme la pluie et la neige descendent des cieux, Et n'y retournent pas Sans avoir arrosé, fécondé la terre, et fait germer les plantes, Sans avoir donné de la semence au semeur Et du pain à celui qui mange,(F) Isa 55:10 Denn gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt und nicht wieder dahinkommt, sondern feuchtet die Erde und macht sie fruchtbar und wachsend, daß sie gibt Samen, zu säen, und Brot, zu essen:(D) Isa 55:10 ὡς γὰρ ἐὰν καταβῇ ὑετὸς ἢ χιὼν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποστραφῇ ἕως ἂν μεθύσῃ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐκτέκῃ καὶ ἐκβλαστήσῃ καὶ δῷ σπέρμα τῷ σπείροντι καὶ ἄρτον εἰς βρῶσιν(lxx) Isa 55:10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:11 ============ Isa 55:11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.(nasb) Isa 55:11 sic erit verbum meum quod egredietur de ore meo; non revertetur ad me vacuum, sed faciet quæcumque volui, et prosperabitur in his ad quæ misi illud.(vulgate) Isaías 55:11 así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca; no volverá a mí vacía, antes hará lo que yo quiero, y será prosperada [en aquello] para que la envié.(E) Ésaïe 55:11 Ainsi en est-il de ma parole, qui sort de ma bouche: Elle ne retourne point à moi sans effet, Sans avoir exécuté ma volonté Et accompli mes desseins.(F) Isa 55:11 also soll das Wort, so aus meinem Munde geht, auch sein. Es soll nicht wieder zu mir leer kommen, sondern tun, was mir gefällt, und soll ihm gelingen, dazu ich's sende.(D) Isa 55:11 οὕτως ἔσται τὸ ῥῆμά μου ὃ ἐὰν ἐξέλθῃ ἐκ τοῦ στόματός μου οὐ μὴ ἀποστραφῇ ἕως ἂν συντελεσθῇ ὅσα ἠθέλησα καὶ εὐοδώσω τὰς ὁδούς σου καὶ τὰ ἐντάλματά μου(lxx) Isa 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:12 ============ Isa 55:12 "For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.(nasb) Isa 55:12 Quia in lætitia egrediemini, et in pace deducemini; montes et colles cantabunt coram vobis laudem, et omnia ligna regionis plaudent manu.(vulgate) Isaías 55:12 Porque con alegría saldréis, y con paz seréis vueltos; los montes y los collados levantarán canción delante de vosotros, y todos los árboles del campo darán palmadas de aplauso.(E) Ésaïe 55:12 Oui, vous sortirez avec joie, Et vous serez conduits en paix; Les montagnes et les collines éclateront d'allégresse devant vous, Et tous les arbres de la campagne battront des mains.(F) Isa 55:12 Denn ihr sollt in Freuden ausziehen und im Frieden geleitet werden. Berge und Hügel sollen vor euch her frohlocken mit Ruhm und alle Bäume auf dem Felde mit den Händen klatschen.(D) Isa 55:12 ἐν γὰρ εὐφροσύνῃ ἐξελεύσεσθε καὶ ἐν χαρᾷ διδαχθήσεσθε τὰ γὰρ ὄρη καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ ἐξαλοῦνται προσδεχόμενοι ὑμᾶς ἐν χαρᾷ καὶ πάντα τὰ ξύλα τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐπικροτήσει τοῖς κλάδοις(lxx) Isa 55:12 "For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 55:13 ============ Isa 55:13 "Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up, And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up, And it will be a memorial to the Lord, For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off."(nasb) Isa 55:13 Pro saliunca ascendet abies, et pro urtica crescet myrtus; et erit Dominus nominatus in signum æternum quod non auferetur.](vulgate) Isaías 55:13 En lugar de la zarza crecerá el ciprés, y en lugar de la ortiga crecerá arrayán: y será a Jehová por nombre, por señal eterna que nunca será raída.(E) Ésaïe 55:13 Au lieu de l'épine s'élèvera le cyprès, Au lieu de la ronce croîtra le myrte; Et ce sera pour l'Eternel une gloire, Un monument perpétuel, impérissable.(F) Isa 55:13 Es sollen Tannen für Hecken wachsen und Myrten für Dornen; und dem HERRN soll ein Name und ewiges Zeichen sein, das nicht ausgerottet werde.(D) Isa 55:13 καὶ ἀντὶ τῆς στοιβῆς ἀναβήσεται κυπάρισσος ἀντὶ δὲ τῆς κονύζης ἀναβήσεται μυρσίνη καὶ ἔσται κύριος εἰς ὄνομα καὶ εἰς σημεῖον αἰώνιον καὶ οὐκ ἐκλείψει(lxx) Isa 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:1 ============ top of the page
