Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 24:1 ============ Jer 24:1 After Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the officials of Judah with the craftsmen and smiths from Jerusalem and had brought them to Babylon, the Lord showed me: behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of the Lord!(nasb) Jer 24:1 Ostendit mihi Dominus: et ecce duo calathi pleni ficis, positi ante templum Domini, postquam transtulit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis Jechoniam filium Joakim, regem Juda, et principes ejus, et fabrum, et inclusorem, de Jerusalem, et adduxit eos in Babylonem.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:1 Y Jehová me mostró dos cestas de higos puestas delante del templo de Jehová, después que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, había llevado cautivos a Jeconías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y a los príncipes de Judá, y a los artesanos y herreros de Jerusalén, y los había llevado a Babilonia.(E) Jérémie 24:1 L'Eternel me fit voir deux paniers de figues posés devant le temple de l'Eternel, après que Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, eut emmené de Jérusalem et conduit à Babylone Jeconia, fils de Jojakim, roi de Juda, les chefs de Juda, les charpentiers et les serruriers.(F) Jer 24:1 Siehe, der HERR zeigte mir zwei Feigenkörbe, gestellt vor den Tempel des HERRN, nachdem der König zu Babel, Nebukadnezar, hatte weggeführt Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König Juda's, samt den Fürsten Juda's und den Zimmerleuten und Schmieden von Jerusalem und gen Babel gebracht.(D) Jer 24:1 ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος δύο καλάθους σύκων κειμένους κατὰ πρόσωπον ναοῦ κυρίου μετὰ τὸ ἀποικίσαι Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος τὸν Ιεχονιαν υἱὸν Ιωακιμ βασιλέα Ιουδα καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας καὶ τοὺς τεχνίτας καὶ τοὺς δεσμώτας καὶ τοὺς πλουσίους ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς Βαβυλῶνα(lxx) Jer 24:1 The Lord showed me, and there were two baskets of figs set before the temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:2 ============ Jer 24:2 One basket had very good figs, like first-ripe figs, and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten due to rottenness.(nasb) Jer 24:2 Calathus unus ficus bonas habebat nimis, ut solent ficus esse primi temporis: et calathus unus ficus habebat malas nimis, quæ comedi non poterant eo quod essent malæ.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:2 Una cesta [tenía] higos muy buenos, como brevas; y la otra cesta [tenía] higos muy malos, que no se podían comer de malos.(E) Jérémie 24:2 L'un des paniers contenait de très bonnes figues, comme les figues de la première récolte, et l'autre panier de très mauvaises figues, qu'on ne pouvait manger à cause de leur mauvaise qualité.(F) Jer 24:2 In dem einen Korbe waren sehr gute Feigen, wie die ersten reifen Feigen sind; im andern Korb waren sehr schlechte Feigen, daß man sie nicht essen konnte, so schlecht waren sie.(D) Jer 24:2 ὁ κάλαθος ὁ εἷς σύκων χρηστῶν σφόδρα ὡς τὰ σῦκα τὰ πρόιμα καὶ ὁ κάλαθος ὁ ἕτερος σύκων πονηρῶν σφόδρα ἃ οὐ βρωθήσεται ἀπὸ πονηρίας αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 24:2 One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten, they were so bad.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:3 ============ Jer 24:3 Then the Lord said to me, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad figs, very bad, which cannot be eaten due to rottenness."(nasb) Jer 24:3 Et dixit Dominus ad me: Quid tu vides, Jeremia? Et dixi: Ficus, ficus bonas, bonas valde: et malas, malas valde, quæ comedi non possunt eo quod sint malæ.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:3 Y me dijo Jehová: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Higos, higos buenos, muy buenos; y malos, muy malos, que de malos no se pueden comer.(E) Jérémie 24:3 L'Eternel me dit: Que vois-tu, Jérémie? Je répondis: Des figues, Les bonnes figues sont très bonnes, et les mauvaises sont très mauvaises et ne peuvent être mangées à cause de leur mauvaise qualité.(F) Jer 24:3 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Jeremia, was siehst du? Ich sprach: Feigen; die guten Feigen sind sehr gut, und die schlechten sind sehr schlecht, daß man sie nicht essen kann, so schlecht sind sie.(D) Jer 24:3 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με τί σὺ ὁρᾷς Ιερεμια καὶ εἶπα σῦκα τὰ χρηστὰ χρηστὰ λίαν καὶ τὰ πονηρὰ πονηρὰ λίαν ἃ οὐ βρωθήσεται ἀπὸ πονηρίας αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 24:3 Then the Lord said to me, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:4 ============ Jer 24:4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Jer 24:4 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 24:4 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 24:4 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Jer 24:4 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(D) Jer 24:4 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Jer 24:4 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:5 ============ Jer 24:5 "Thus says the Lord God of Israel, 'Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans.(nasb) Jer 24:5 [Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Sicut ficus hæ bonæ, sic cognoscam transmigrationem Juda, quam emisi de loco isto in terram Chaldæorum, in bonum.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:5 Así dice Jehová Dios de Israel: Como a estos buenos higos, así consideraré a los transportados de Judá a los cuales eché de este lugar a tierra de caldeos, para [su] bien.(E) Jérémie 24:5 Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Comme tu distingues ces bonnes figues, ainsi je distinguerai, pour leur être favorable, les captifs de Juda, que j'ai envoyés de ce lieu dans le pays des Chaldéens.(F) Jer 24:5 So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Gleichwie diese Feigen gut sind, also will ich mich gnädig annehmen der Gefangenen aus Juda, welche ich habe aus dieser Stätte lassen ziehen in der Chaldäer Land,(D) Jer 24:5 τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὡς τὰ σῦκα τὰ χρηστὰ ταῦτα οὕτως ἐπιγνώσομαι τοὺς ἀποικισθέντας Ιουδα οὓς ἐξαπέσταλκα ἐκ τοῦ τόπου τούτου εἰς γῆν Χαλδαίων εἰς ἀγαθά(lxx) Jer 24:5 "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: 'Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:6 ============ Jer 24:6 For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land; and I will build them up and not overthrow them, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.(nasb) Jer 24:6 Et ponam oculos meos super eos ad placandum, et reducam eos in terram hanc: et ædificabo eos, et non destruam: et plantabo eos, et non evellam.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:6 Porque pondré mis ojos sobre ellos para bien, y los volveré a esta tierra; y los edificaré, y no los destruiré: [los] plantaré, y no [los] arrancaré.(E) Jérémie 24:6 Je les regarderai d'un oeil favorable, et je les ramènerai dans ce pays; je les établirai et ne les détruirai plus, je les planterai et ne les arracherai plus.(F) Jer 24:6 und will sie gnädig ansehen, und will sie wieder in dies Land bringen, und will sie bauen und nicht abbrechen; ich will sie pflanzen und nicht ausraufen,(D) Jer 24:6 καὶ στηριῶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς εἰς ἀγαθὰ καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην εἰς ἀγαθὰ καὶ ἀνοικοδομήσω αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐ μὴ καθελῶ καὶ καταφυτεύσω αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκτίλω(lxx) Jer 24:6 For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:7 ============ Jer 24:7 I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.(nasb) Jer 24:7 Et dabo eis cor ut sciant me, quia ego sum Dominus: et erunt mihi in populum, et ego ero eis in Deum, quia revertentur ad me in toto corde suo.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:7 Y les daré corazón para que me conozcan, porque yo soy Jehová; y ellos serán mi pueblo, y yo seré su Dios; porque se volverán a mí de todo su corazón.(E) Jérémie 24:7 Je leur donnerai un coeur pour qu'ils connaissent que je suis l'Eternel; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, s'ils reviennent à moi de tout leur coeur.(F) Jer 24:7 und will ihnen ein Herz geben, daß sie mich kennen sollen, daß ich der HERR sei. Und sie sollen mein Volk sein, so will ich ihr Gott sein; denn sie werden sich von ganzem Herzen zu mir bekehren.(D) Jer 24:7 καὶ δώσω αὐτοῖς καρδίαν τοῦ εἰδέναι αὐτοὺς ἐμὲ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν ὅτι ἐπιστραφήσονται ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 24:7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:8 ============ Jer 24:8 'But like the bad figs which cannot be eaten due to rottenness - indeed, thus says the Lord - so I will abandon Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land and the ones who dwell in the land of Egypt.(nasb) Jer 24:8 Et sicut ficus pessimæ quæ comedi non possunt eo quod sint malæ, hæc dicit Dominus: Sic dabo Sedeciam regem Juda, et principes ejus, et reliquos de Jerusalem, qui remanserunt in urbe hac, et qui habitant in terra Ægypti.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:8 Y como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer, ciertamente así dice Jehová: De la misma manera daré a Sedequías rey de Judá, y a sus príncipes, y al remanente de Jerusalén que queda en esta tierra, y a los que moran en la tierra de Egipto.(E) Jérémie 24:8 Et comme les mauvaises figues qui ne peuvent être mangées à cause de leur mauvaise qualité, dit l'Eternel, ainsi ferai-je devenir Sédécias, roi de Juda, ses chefs, et le reste de Jérusalem, ceux qui sont restés dans ce pays et ceux qui habitent dans le pays d'Egypte.(F) Jer 24:8 Aber wie die schlechten Feigen so schlecht sind, daß man sie nicht essen kann, spricht der HERR, also will ich dahingeben Zedekia, den König Juda's samt seinen Fürsten, und was übrig ist zu Jerusalem und übrig in diesem Lande und die in Ägyptenland wohnen.(D) Jer 24:8 καὶ ὡς τὰ σῦκα τὰ πονηρά ἃ οὐ βρωθήσεται ἀπὸ πονηρίας αὐτῶν τάδε λέγει κύριος οὕτως παραδώσω τὸν Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα καὶ τοὺς μεγιστᾶνας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ κατάλοιπον Ιερουσαλημ τοὺς ὑπολελειμμένους ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ καὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ(lxx) Jer 24:8 'And as the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad'--surely thus says the Lord--'so will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:9 ============ Jer 24:9 I will make them a terror and an evil for all the kingdoms of the earth, as a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse in all places where I will scatter them.(nasb) Jer 24:9 Et dabo eos in vexationem, afflictionemque omnibus regnis terræ, in opprobrium, et in parabolam, et in proverbium, et in maledictionem in universis locis ad quæ ejeci eos.(vulgate) Jeremías 24:9 Y los daré por escarnio [y] por mal a todos los reinos de la tierra; por infamia, por ejemplo, por refrán y por maldición a todos los lugares adonde yo los arrojaré.(E) Jérémie 24:9 Je les rendrai un objet d'effroi, de malheur, pour tous les royaumes de la terre, un sujet d'opprobre, de sarcasme, de raillerie, et de malédiction, dans tous les lieux où je les chasserai.(F) Jer 24:9 Und will ihnen Unglück zufügen und sie in keinem Königreich auf Erden bleiben lassen, daß sie sollen zu Schanden werden, zum Sprichwort, zur Fabel und zum Fluch an allen Orten, dahin ich sie verstoßen werde;(D) Jer 24:9 καὶ δώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς διασκορπισμὸν εἰς πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τῆς γῆς καὶ ἔσονται εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν καὶ εἰς παραβολὴν καὶ εἰς μῖσος καὶ εἰς κατάραν ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ οὗ ἐξῶσα αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ(lxx) Jer 24:9 I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 24:10 ============ Jer 24:10 I will send the sword, the famine and the pestilence upon them until they are destroyed from the land which I gave to them and their forefathers.'"(nasb) Jer 24:10 Et mittam in eis gladium, et famem, et pestem, donec consumantur de terra quam dedi eis et patribus eorum.](vulgate) Jeremías 24:10 Y enviaré sobre ellos espada, hambre y pestilencia, hasta que sean exterminados de la tierra que les di a ellos y a sus padres.(E) Jérémie 24:10 J'enverrai parmi eux l'épée, la famine et la peste, jusqu'à ce qu'ils aient disparu du pays que j'avais donné à eux et à leurs pères.(F) Jer 24:10 und will Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz unter sie schicken, bis sie umkommen von dem Lande, das ich ihnen und ihren Vätern gegeben habe.(D) Jer 24:10 καὶ ἀποστελῶ εἰς αὐτοὺς τὸν λιμὸν καὶ τὸν θάνατον καὶ τὴν μάχαιραν ἕως ἂν ἐκλίπωσιν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἧς ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς(lxx) Jer 24:10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence among them, till they are consumed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.'
