Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 34:1 ============ Jer 34:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, with all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion and all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem and against all its cities, saying,(nasb) Jer 34:1 Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino quando Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis, et omnis exercitus ejus, universaque regna terræ quæ erant sub potestate manus ejus, et omnes populi, bellabant contra Jerusalem, et contra omnes urbes ejus, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 34:1 Palabra de Jehová que vino a Jeremías (cuando Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y todo su ejército, y todos los reinos de la tierra del señorío de su mano, y todos los pueblos peleaban contra Jerusalén, y contra todas sus ciudades), diciendo:(E) Jérémie 34:1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots, lorsque Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, avec toute son armée, et tous les royaumes des pays sous sa domination, et tous les peuples, faisaient la guerre à Jérusalem et à toutes les villes qui en dépendaient:(F) Jer 34:1 Dies ist das Wort, das vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia, da Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, samt seinem Heer und allen Königreichen auf Erden, so unter seiner Gewalt waren, und allen Völkern stritt wider Jerusalem und alle ihre Städte, und sprach:(D) Jer 34:1 --(lxx) Jer 34:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, all the kingdoms of the earth under his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem and all its cities, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:2 ============ Jer 34:2 "Thus says the Lord God of Israel, 'Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and say to him." Thus says the Lord, 'Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.(nasb) Jer 34:2 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Vade, et loquere ad Sedeciam regem Juda, et dices ad eum: Hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce ego tradam civitatem hanc in manus regis Babylonis, et succendet eam igni:(vulgate) Jeremías 34:2 Así dice Jehová, Dios de Israel: Ve, y habla a Sedequías, rey de Judá, y dile: Así dice Jehová: He aquí yo entregaré a esta ciudad en mano del rey de Babilonia, y la quemará con fuego;(E) Jérémie 34:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Va, et dis à Sédécias, roi de Juda, dis-lui: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, je livre cette ville entre les mains du roi de Babylone, et il la brûlera par le feu.(F) Jer 34:2 So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Gehe hin und sage Zedekia, dem König Juda's, und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will diese Stadt in die Hände des Königs zu Babel geben, und er soll sie mit Feuer verbrennen.(D) Jer 34:2 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ποίησον δεσμοὺς καὶ κλοιοὺς καὶ περίθου περὶ τὸν τράχηλόν σου(lxx) Jer 34:2 "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: 'Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and tell him, "Thus says the Lord: 'Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:3 ============ Jer 34:3 You will not escape from his hand, for you will surely be captured and delivered into his hand; and you will see the king of Babylon eye to eye, and he will speak with you face to face, and you will go to Babylon.'"'(nasb) Jer 34:3 et tu non effugies de manu ejus, sed comprehensione capieris, et in manu ejus traderis: et oculi tui oculos regis Babylonis videbunt, et os ejus cum ore tuo loquetur, et Babylonem introibis.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:3 y no escaparás tú de su mano, sino que de cierto serás apresado, y en su mano serás entregado; y tus ojos verán los ojos del rey de Babilonia, y te hablará boca a boca, y en Babilonia entrarás.(E) Jérémie 34:3 Et toi, tu n'échapperas pas à ses mains, mais tu seras pris et livré entre ses mains, tes yeux verront les yeux du roi de Babylone, et il te parlera bouche à bouche, et tu iras à Babylone.(F) Jer 34:3 Und du sollst seiner Hand nicht entrinnen, sondern gegriffen und in seine Hand gegeben werden, daß du ihn mit Augen sehen und mündlich mit ihm reden wirst, und gen Babel kommen.(D) Jer 34:3 καὶ ἀποστελεῖς αὐτοὺς πρὸς βασιλέα Ιδουμαίας καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα Μωαβ καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα υἱῶν Αμμων καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα Τύρου καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα Σιδῶνος ἐν χερσὶν ἀγγέλων αὐτῶν τῶν ἐρχομένων εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτῶν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ πρὸς Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα(lxx) Jer 34:3 And you shall not escape from his hand, but shall surely be taken and delivered into his hand; your eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Babylon, he shall speak with you face to face, and you shall go to Babylon.' " '(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:4 ============ Jer 34:4 Yet hear the word of the Lord, O Zedekiah king of Judah! Thus says the Lord concerning you, 'You will not die by the sword.(nasb) Jer 34:4 Attamen audi verbum Domini, Sedecia, rex Juda: Hæc dicit Dominus ad te: Non morieris in gladio,(vulgate) Jeremías 34:4 Con todo eso, oye palabra de Jehová, Sedequías rey de Judá: Así dice Jehová de ti: No morirás a espada;(E) Jérémie 34:4 Seulement écoute la parole de l'Eternel, Sédécias, roi de Juda! Ainsi parle l'Eternel sur toi: Tu ne mourras point par l'épée.(F) Jer 34:4 Doch aber höre, Zedekia, du König Juda's, des HERRN Wort: So spricht der HERR von dir: Du sollst nicht durchs Schwert sterben,(D) Jer 34:4 καὶ συντάξεις αὐτοῖς πρὸς τοὺς κυρίους αὐτῶν εἰπεῖν οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ οὕτως ἐρεῖτε πρὸς τοὺς κυρίους ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 34:4 Yet hear the word of the Lord, O Zedekiah king of Judah! Thus says the Lord concerning you: 'You shall not die by the sword.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:5 ============ Jer 34:5 You will die in peace; and as spices were burned for your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they will burn spices for you; and they will lament for you, "Alas, lord!"' For I have spoken the word," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 34:5 sed in pace morieris: et secundum combustiones patrum tuorum, regum priorum qui fuerunt ante te, sic comburent te: et: Væ domine, plangent te: quia verbum ego locutus sum, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:5 en paz morirás, y como quemaron [incienso] por tus padres, los reyes primeros que fueron antes de ti, así quemarán por ti, y te endecharán, [diciendo]: ¡Ay, señor!; porque yo he hablado la palabra, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 34:5 Tu mourras en paix; et comme on a brûlé des parfums pour tes pères, les anciens rois qui t'ont précédé, ainsi on en brûlera pour toi, et l'on te pleurera, en disant: Hélas, seigneur! Car j'ai prononcé cette parole, dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 34:5 sondern du sollst im Frieden sterben. Und wie deinen Vätern, den vorigen Königen, die vor dir gewesen sind, so wird man auch dir einen Brand anzünden und dich beklagen: "Ach Herr!" denn ich habe es geredet, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 34:5 ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐποίησα τὴν γῆν ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι μου τῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐπιχείρῳ μου τῷ ὑψηλῷ καὶ δώσω αὐτὴν ᾧ ἐὰν δόξῃ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς μου(lxx) Jer 34:5 You shall die in peace; as in the ceremonies of your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they shall burn incense for you and lament for you, saying, "Alas, lord!" For I have pronounced the word, says the Lord.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:6 ============ Jer 34:6 Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem(nasb) Jer 34:6 Et locutus est Jeremias propheta ad Sedeciam regem Juda universa verba hæc in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:6 Entonces el profeta Jeremías habló a Sedequías, rey de Judá, todas estas palabras en Jerusalén.(E) Jérémie 34:6 Jérémie, le prophète, dit toutes ces paroles à Sédécias, roi de Juda, à Jérusalem.(F) Jer 34:6 Und der Prophet Jeremia redete alle diese Worte zu Zedekia, dem König Juda's, zu Jerusalem,(D) Jer 34:6 ἔδωκα τὴν γῆν τῷ Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος δουλεύειν αὐτῷ καὶ τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐργάζεσθαι αὐτῷ(lxx) Jer 34:6 Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:7 ============ Jer 34:7 when the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and against all the remaining cities of Judah, that is, Lachish and Azekah, for they alone remained as fortified cities among the cities of Judah.(nasb) Jer 34:7 Et exercitus regis Babylonis pugnabat contra Jerusalem, et contra omnes civitates Juda quæ reliquæ erant, contra Lachis et contra Azecha: hæ enim supererant de civitatibus Juda, urbes munitæ.~(vulgate) Jeremías 34:7 Y el ejército del rey de Babilonia peleaba contra Jerusalén, y contra todas las ciudades de Judá que habían quedado, contra Laquis, y contra Azeca; porque de las ciudades fortificadas de Judá éstas habían quedado.(E) Jérémie 34:7 Et l'armée du roi de Babylone combattait contre Jérusalem et contre toutes les autres villes de Juda, contre Lakis et Azéka, car c'étaient des villes fortes qui restaient parmi les villes de Juda.(F) Jer 34:7 da das Heer des Königs zu Babel schon stritt wider Jerusalem und wider alle übrigen Städte Juda's, nämlich wider Lachis und Aseka; denn diese waren noch übriggeblieben von den festen Städten Juda's.(D) Jer 34:7 --(lxx) Jer 34:7 when the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish and Azekah; for only these fortified cities remained of the cities of Judah.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:8 ============ Jer 34:8 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were in Jerusalem to proclaim release to them:(nasb) Jer 34:8 Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino, postquam percussit rex Sedecias fœdus cum omni populo in Jerusalem, prædicans(vulgate) Jeremías 34:8 Palabra que vino a Jeremías de parte de Jehová, después que Sedequías hizo pacto con todo el pueblo en Jerusalén, para promulgarles libertad:(E) Jérémie 34:8 La parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, après que le roi Sédécias eut fait un pacte avec tout le peuple de Jérusalem, pour publier la liberté,(F) Jer 34:8 Dies ist das Wort, so vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der König Zedekia einen Bund gemacht hatte mit dem ganzen Volk zu Jerusalem, ein Freijahr auszurufen,(D) Jer 34:8 καὶ τὸ ἔθνος καὶ ἡ βασιλεία ὅσοι ἐὰν μὴ ἐμβάλωσιν τὸν τράχηλον αὐτῶν ὑπὸ τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ἐν μαχαίρᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ ἐπισκέψομαι αὐτούς εἶπεν κύριος ἕως ἐκλίπωσιν ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 34:8 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were at Jerusalem to proclaim liberty to them:(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:9 ============ Jer 34:9 that each man should set free his male servant and each man his female servant, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman; so that no one should keep them, a Jew his brother, in bondage.(nasb) Jer 34:9 ut dimitteret unusquisque servum suum et unusquisque ancillam suam, Hebræum et Hebræam, liberos, et nequaquam dominarentur eis, id est, in Judæo et fratre suo.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:9 Que cada uno dejase libre a su siervo, y cada uno a su sierva, hebreo y hebrea; que ninguno usase de los judíos sus hermanos como de siervos.(E) Jérémie 34:9 afin que chacun renvoyât libres son esclave et sa servante, l'Hébreu et la femme de l'Hébreu, et que personne ne tînt plus dans la servitude le Juif, son frère.(F) Jer 34:9 daß ein jeglicher seinen Knecht und seine Magd, so Hebräer und Hebräerin wären, sollte freigeben, daß kein Jude den andern leibeigen hielte.(D) Jer 34:9 καὶ ὑμεῖς μὴ ἀκούετε τῶν ψευδοπροφητῶν ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν μαντευομένων ὑμῖν καὶ τῶν ἐνυπνιαζομένων ὑμῖν καὶ τῶν οἰωνισμάτων ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν φαρμακῶν ὑμῶν τῶν λεγόντων οὐ μὴ ἐργάσησθε τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος(lxx) Jer 34:9 that every man should set free his male and female slave--a Hebrew man or woman--that no one should keep a Jewish brother in bondage.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:10 ============ Jer 34:10 And all the officials and all the people obeyed who had entered into the covenant that each man should set free his male servant and each man his female servant, so that no one should keep them any longer in bondage; they obeyed, and set them free.(nasb) Jer 34:10 Audierunt ergo omnes principes et universus populus qui inierant pactum ut dimitteret unusquisque servum suum et unusquisque ancillam suam liberos, et ultra non dominarentur eis: audierunt igitur, et dimiserunt.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:10 Y cuando oyeron todos los príncipes, y todo el pueblo que habían entrado en el pacto de dejar cada uno su siervo y cada uno su sierva libres, que ninguno usase más de ellos como de siervos, obedecieron y los dejaron.(E) Jérémie 34:10 Tous les chefs et tout le peuple, qui étaient entrés dans le pacte, s'engagèrent à renvoyer libres chacun son esclave et sa servante, afin de ne plus les tenir dans la servitude; ils obéirent, et les renvoyèrent.(F) Jer 34:10 Da gehorchten alle Fürsten und alles Volk, die solchen Bund eingegangen waren, daß ein jeglicher sollte seinen Knecht und seine Magd freigeben und sie nicht mehr leibeigen halten, und gaben sie los.(D) Jer 34:10 ὅτι ψευδῆ αὐτοὶ προφητεύουσιν ὑμῖν πρὸς τὸ μακρῦναι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 34:10 Now when all the princes and all the people, who had entered into the covenant, heard that everyone should set free his male and female slaves, that no one should keep them in bondage anymore, they obeyed and let them go.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:11 ============ Jer 34:11 But afterward they turned around and took back the male servants and the female servants whom they had set free, and brought them into subjection for male servants and for female servants.(nasb) Jer 34:11 Et conversi sunt deinceps: et retraxerunt servos et ancillas suas quos dimiserant liberos, et subjugaverunt in famulos et famulas.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:11 Mas después se arrepintieron, e hicieron volver a los siervos y a las siervas que habían dejado libres, y los sujetaron por siervos y por siervas.(E) Jérémie 34:11 Mais ensuite ils changèrent d'avis; ils reprirent les esclaves et les servantes qu'ils avaient affranchis, et les forcèrent à redevenir esclaves et servantes.(F) Jer 34:11 Aber darnach kehrten sie sich um und forderten die Knechte und Mägde wieder zu sich, die sie freigegeben hatten, und zwangen sie, daß sie Knechte und Mägde sein mußten.(D) Jer 34:11 καὶ τὸ ἔθνος ὃ ἐὰν εἰσαγάγῃ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ ὑπὸ τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἐργάσηται αὐτῷ καὶ καταλείψω αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐργᾶται αὐτῷ καὶ ἐνοικήσει ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jer 34:11 But afterward they changed their minds and made the male and female slaves return, whom they had set free, and brought them into subjection as male and female slaves.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:12 ============ Jer 34:12 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,(nasb) Jer 34:12 Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam a Domino, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 34:12 Por lo cual vino palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, de parte de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 34:12 Alors la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:(F) Jer 34:12 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu Jeremia vom HERRN und sprach:(D) Jer 34:12 καὶ πρὸς Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα ἐλάλησα κατὰ πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους λέγων εἰσαγάγετε τὸν τράχηλον ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 34:12 Therefore the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:13 ============ Jer 34:13 "Thus says the Lord God of Israel, 'I made a covenant with your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, saying,(nasb) Jer 34:13 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Ego percussi fœdus cum patribus vestris in die qua eduxi eos de terra Ægypti, de domo servitutis, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 34:13 Así dice Jehová, Dios de Israel: Yo hice pacto con vuestros padres el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 34:13 Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: J'ai fait une alliance avec vos pères, le jour où je les ai fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, de la maison de servitude; et je leur ai dit:(F) Jer 34:13 So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe einen Bund gemacht mit euren Vätern, da ich sie aus Ägyptenland, aus dem Diensthause, führte und sprach:(D) Jer 34:13 --(lxx) Jer 34:13 "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: 'I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 34:14 ============ Jer 34:14 "At the end of seven years each of you shall set free his Hebrew brother who has been sold to you and has served you six years, you shall send him out free from you; but your forefathers did not obey Me or incline their ear to Me.(nasb) Jer 34:14 Cum completi fuerint septem anni, dimittat unusquisque fratrem suum Hebræum, qui venditus est ei: et serviet tibi sex annis, et dimittes eum a te liberum: et non audierunt patres vestri me, nec inclinaverunt aurem suam.(vulgate) Jeremías 34:14 Al cabo de siete años dejará libre cada uno a su hermano hebreo que le fuere vendido; te servirá, pues, seis años, y lo enviarás libre de ti; mas vuestros padres no me oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído.(E) Jérémie 34:14 Au bout de sept ans, chacun de vous renverra libre son frère hébreu qui se vend à lui; il te servira six années, puis tu le renverras libre de chez toi. Mais vos pères ne m'ont point écouté, ils n'ont point prêté l'oreille.(F) Jer 34:14 Im siebenten Jahr soll ein jeglicher seinen Bruder, der ein Hebräer ist und sich ihm verkauft und sechs Jahre gedient hat, frei von sich lassen. Aber eure Väter gehorchten mir nicht und neigten ihre Ohren nicht.(D) Jer 34:14 καὶ ἐργάσασθε τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος ὅτι ἄδικα αὐτοὶ προφητεύουσιν ὑμῖν(lxx) Jer 34:14 "At the end of seven years let every man set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to him; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you."
