Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 36:1 ============ Jer 36:1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,(nasb) Jer 36:1 Et factum est in anno quarto Joakim filii Josiæ regis Juda, factum est verbum hoc ad Jeremiam a Domino, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 36:1 Y aconteció en el cuarto año de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que vino esta palabra a Jeremías, de parte de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 36:1 La quatrième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:(F) Jer 36:1 Im vierten Jahr Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs in Juda, geschah dies Wort zu Jeremia vom HERRN und sprach:(D) Jer 36:1 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι τῆς βίβλου οὓς ἀπέστειλεν Ιερεμιας ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ πρὸς τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τῆς ἀποικίας καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ψευδοπροφήτας ἐπιστολὴν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα τῇ ἀποικίᾳ καὶ πρὸς ἅπαντα τὸν λαὸν(lxx) Jer 36:1 Now it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:2 ============ Jer 36:2 "Take a scroll and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you concerning Israel and concerning Judah, and concerning all the nations, from the day I first spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.(nasb) Jer 36:2 Tolle volumen libri, et scribes in eo omnia verba quæ locutus sum tibi adversum Israël et Judam, et adversum omnes gentes, a die qua locutus sum ad te ex diebus Josiæ usque ad diem hanc:(vulgate) Jeremías 36:2 Tómate un rollo de libro, y escribe en él todas las palabras que te he hablado contra Israel y contra Judá, y contra todas las gentes, desde el día que comencé a hablarte, desde los días de Josías hasta hoy.(E) Jérémie 36:2 Prends un livre, et tu y écriras toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites sur Israël et sur Juda, et sur toutes les nations, depuis le jour où je t'ai parlé, au temps de Josias, jusqu'à ce jour.(F) Jer 36:2 Nimm ein Buch und schreibe darein alle Reden, die ich zu dir geredet habe über Israel, über Juda und alle Völker von der Zeit an, da ich zu dir geredet habe, nämlich von der Zeit Josias an bis auf diesen Tag;(D) Jer 36:2 ὕστερον ἐξελθόντος Ιεχονιου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῆς βασιλίσσης καὶ τῶν εὐνούχων καὶ παντὸς ἐλευθέρου καὶ δεσμώτου καὶ τεχνίτου ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Jer 36:2 "Take a scroll of a book and write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah even to this day.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:3 ============ Jer 36:3 Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the calamity which I plan to bring on them, in order that every man will turn from his evil way; then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin."(nasb) Jer 36:3 si forte, audiente domo Juda universa mala quæ ego cogito facere eis, revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima, et propitius ero iniquitati et peccato eorum.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:3 Quizá oiga la casa de Judá todo el mal que yo pienso hacerles, y se arrepienta cada uno de su mal camino, y yo perdonaré su maldad y su pecado.(E) Jérémie 36:3 Quand la maison de Juda entendra tout le mal que je pense lui faire, peut-être reviendront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; alors je pardonnerai leur iniquité et leur péché.(F) Jer 36:3 ob vielleicht die vom Hause Juda, wo sie hören all das Unglück, das ich ihnen gedenke zu tun, sich bekehren wollten, ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen, damit ich ihnen ihre Missetat und Sünde vergeben könnte.(D) Jer 36:3 ἐν χειρὶ Ελεασα υἱοῦ Σαφαν καὶ Γαμαριου υἱοῦ Χελκιου ὃν ἀπέστειλεν Σεδεκιας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα λέγων(lxx) Jer 36:3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the adversities which I purpose to bring upon them, that everyone may turn from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:4 ============ Jer 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him.(nasb) Jer 36:4 Vocavit ergo Jeremias Baruch filium Neriæ: et scripsit Baruch ex ore Jeremiæ omnes sermones Domini quos locutus est ad eum, in volumine libri:(vulgate) Jeremías 36:4 Y llamó Jeremías a Baruc, hijo de Nerías, y escribió Baruc de boca de Jeremías, en un rollo de libro, todas las palabras que Jehová le había hablado.(E) Jérémie 36:4 Jérémie appela Baruc, fils de Nérija; et Baruc écrivit dans un livre, sous la dictée de Jérémie, toutes les paroles que l'Eternel avait dites à Jérémie.(F) Jer 36:4 Da rief Jeremia Baruch, den Sohn Nerias. Derselbe Baruch schrieb in ein Buch aus dem Munde Jeremia's alle Reden des HERRN, die er zu ihm geredet hatte.(D) Jer 36:4 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὴν ἀποικίαν ἣν ἀπῴκισα ἀπὸ Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Jer 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah; and Baruch wrote on a scroll of a book, at the instruction of Jeremiah, all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:5 ============ Jer 36:5 Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, "I am restricted; I cannot go into the house of the Lord.(nasb) Jer 36:5 et præcepit Jeremias Baruch, dicens: Ego clausus sum, nec valeo ingredi domum Domini.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:5 Después mandó Jeremías a Baruc, diciendo: Yo [estoy] preso, no puedo entrar en la casa de Jehová:(E) Jérémie 36:5 Puis Jérémie donna cet ordre à Baruc: Je suis retenu, et je ne peux pas aller à la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Jer 36:5 Und Jeremia gebot Baruch und sprach: Ich bin gefangen, daß ich nicht kann in des HERRN Haus gehen.(D) Jer 36:5 οἰκοδομήσατε οἴκους καὶ κατοικήσατε καὶ φυτεύσατε παραδείσους καὶ φάγετε τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 36:5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, "I am confined, I cannot go into the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:6 ============ Jer 36:6 So you go and read from the scroll which you have written at my dictation the words of the Lord to the people in the Lord's house on a fast day. And also you shall read them to all the people of Judah who come from their cities.(nasb) Jer 36:6 Ingredere ergo tu, et lege de volumine in quo scripsisti ex ore meo verba Domini, audiente populo in domo Domini, in die jejunii: insuper et audiente universo Juda qui veniunt de civitatibus suis, leges eis,(vulgate) Jeremías 36:6 Entra tú pues, y lee de este rollo que escribiste de mi boca, las palabras de Jehová en oídos del pueblo, en la casa de Jehová, el día del ayuno; y las leerás también en oídos de todo Judá que vienen de sus ciudades.(E) Jérémie 36:6 Tu iras toi-même, et tu liras dans le livre que tu as écrit sous ma dictée les paroles de l'Eternel, aux oreilles du peuple, dans la maison de l'Eternel, le jour du jeûne; tu les liras aussi aux oreilles de tous ceux de Juda qui seront venus de leurs villes.(F) Jer 36:6 Du aber gehe hinein und lies das Buch, darein du des HERRN Reden aus meinem Munde geschrieben hast, vor dem Volk im Hause des HERRN am Fasttage, und sollst sie auch lesen vor den Ohren des ganzen Juda, die aus ihren Städten hereinkommen;(D) Jer 36:6 καὶ λάβετε γυναῖκας καὶ τεκνοποιήσατε υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ λάβετε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν γυναῖκας καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν ἀνδράσιν δότε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ μὴ σμικρυνθῆτε(lxx) Jer 36:6 You go, therefore, and read from the scroll which you have written at my instruction, the words of the Lord, in the hearing of the people in the Lord's house on the day of fasting. And you shall also read them in the hearing of all Judah who come from their cities.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:7 ============ Jer 36:7 Perhaps their supplication will come before the Lord, and everyone will turn from his evil way, for great is the anger and the wrath that the Lord has pronounced against this people."(nasb) Jer 36:7 si forte cadat oratio eorum in conspectu Domini, et revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima: quoniam magnus furor et indignatio est quam locutus est Dominus adversus populum hunc.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:7 Quizá llegue la oración de ellos a la presencia de Jehová, y se vuelva cada uno de su mal camino; porque grande [es] el furor y la ira que ha pronunciado Jehová contra este pueblo.(E) Jérémie 36:7 Peut-être l'Eternel écoutera-t-il leurs supplications, et reviendront ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; car grande est la colère, la fureur dont l'Eternel a menacé ce peuple.(F) Jer 36:7 ob sie vielleicht sich mit Beten vor dem HERRN demütigen wollen und sich bekehren, ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen; denn der Zorn und Grimm ist groß, davon der HERR wider dies Volk geredet hat.(D) Jer 36:7 καὶ ζητήσατε εἰς εἰρήνην τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ἀπῴκισα ὑμᾶς ἐκεῖ καὶ προσεύξασθε περὶ αὐτῶν πρὸς κύριον ὅτι ἐν εἰρήνῃ αὐτῆς ἔσται εἰρήνη ὑμῖν(lxx) Jer 36:7 It may be that they will present their supplication before the Lord, and everyone will turn from his evil way. For great is the anger and the fury that the Lord has pronounced against this people."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:8 ============ Jer 36:8 Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house.(nasb) Jer 36:8 Et fecit Baruch filius Neriæ juxta omnia quæ præceperat ei Jeremias propheta, legens ex volumine sermones Domini in domo Domini.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:8 Y Baruc, hijo de Nerías, hizo conforme a todas las cosas que el profeta Jeremías le mandó, leyendo en el libro las palabras de Jehová en la casa de Jehová.(E) Jérémie 36:8 Baruc, fils de Nérija, fit tout ce que lui avait ordonné Jérémie, le prophète, et lut dans le livre les paroles de l'Eternel, dans la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Jer 36:8 Und Baruch, der Sohn Nerias, tat alles, wie ihm der Prophet Jeremia befohlen hatte, daß er die Reden des HERRN aus dem Buche läse im Hause des HERRN.(D) Jer 36:8 ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται οἱ ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ μάντεις ὑμῶν καὶ μὴ ἀκούετε εἰς τὰ ἐνύπνια ὑμῶν ἃ ὑμεῖς ἐνυπνιάζεσθε(lxx) Jer 36:8 And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:9 ============ Jer 36:9 Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem proclaimed a fast before the Lord.(nasb) Jer 36:9 Factum est autem in anno quinto Joakim filii Josiæ regis Juda, in mense nono: prædicaverunt jejunium in conspectu Domini omni populo in Jerusalem, et universæ multitudini quæ confluxerat de civitatibus Juda in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:9 Y aconteció en el año quinto de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, en el mes noveno, que promulgaron ayuno en la presencia de Jehová, a todo el pueblo de Jerusalén, y a todo el pueblo que venía de las ciudades de Judá a Jerusalén.(E) Jérémie 36:9 La cinquième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, le neuvième mois, on publia un jeûne devant l'Eternel pour tout le peuple de Jérusalem et pour tout le peuple venu des villes de Juda à Jérusalem.(F) Jer 36:9 Es begab sich aber im fünften Jahr Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs Juda's, im neunten Monat, daß man ein Fasten verkündigte vor dem HERRN allem Volk zu Jerusalem und allem Volk, das aus den Städten Juda's gen Jerusalem kommt.(D) Jer 36:9 ὅτι ἄδικα αὐτοὶ προφητεύουσιν ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστειλα αὐτούς(lxx) Jer 36:9 Now it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:10 ============ Jer 36:10 Then Baruch read from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord's house, to all the people.(nasb) Jer 36:10 Legitque Baruch ex volumine sermones Jeremiæ in domo Domini, in gazophylacio Gamariæ filii Saphan scribæ, in vestibulo superiori, in introitu portæ novæ domus Domini, audiente omni populo.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:10 Entonces Baruc leyó en el libro las palabras de Jeremías en la casa de Jehová, en la cámara de Gemarías, hijo de Safán el escriba, en el atrio de arriba, a la entrada de la puerta nueva de la casa de Jehová, a oídos del pueblo.(E) Jérémie 36:10 Et Baruc lut dans le livre les paroles de Jérémie, aux oreilles de tout le peuple, dans la maison de l'Eternel, dans la chambre de Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, le secrétaire, dans le parvis supérieur, à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Jer 36:10 Und Baruch las aus dem Buche die Reden Jeremia's im Hause des HERRN, in der Kapelle Gemarjas, des Sohnes Saphans, des Kanzlers, im obern Vorhof, vor dem neuen Tor am Hause des HERRN, vor dem ganzen Volk.(D) Jer 36:10 ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὅταν μέλλῃ πληροῦσθαι Βαβυλῶνι ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἐπισκέψομαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπιστήσω τοὺς λόγους μου ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς τοῦ τὸν λαὸν ὑμῶν ἀποστρέψαι εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον(lxx) Jer 36:10 Then Baruch read from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord's house, in the hearing of all the people.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:11 ============ Jer 36:11 Now when Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard all the words of the Lord from the book,(nasb) Jer 36:11 Cumque audisset Michæas filius Gamariæ filii Saphan omnes sermones Domini ex libro,(vulgate) Jeremías 36:11 Y Micaías, hijo de Gemarías, hijo de Safán, habiendo oído del libro todas las palabras de Jehová,(E) Jérémie 36:11 Michée, fils de Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, ayant entendu toutes les paroles de l'Eternel contenues dans le livre,(F) Jer 36:11 Da nun Michaja, der Sohn Gemarjas, des Sohnes Saphans, alle Reden des HERRN gehört hatte aus dem Buche,(D) Jer 36:11 καὶ λογιοῦμαι ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς λογισμὸν εἰρήνης καὶ οὐ κακὰ τοῦ δοῦναι ὑμῖν ταῦτα(lxx) Jer 36:11 When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the Lord from the book,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:12 ============ Jer 36:12 he went down to the king's house, into the scribe's chamber. And behold, all the officials were sitting there--Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the other officials.(nasb) Jer 36:12 descendit in domum regis, ad gazophylacium scribæ, et ecce ibi omnes principes sedebant: Elisama scriba, et Dalaias filius Semeiæ, et Elnathan filius Achobor, et Gamarias filius Saphan, et Sedecias filius Hananiæ, et universi principes:(vulgate) Jeremías 36:12 descendió a la casa del rey, a la cámara del escriba, y he aquí que todos los príncipes estaban allí sentados: Elisama el escriba, Delaías, hijo de Semaías, Elnatán, hijo de Acbor, Gemarías, hijo de Safán, Sedequías, hijo de Ananías, y todos los príncipes.(E) Jérémie 36:12 descendit à la maison du roi, dans la chambre du secrétaire, où étaient assis tous les chefs, Elischama, le secrétaire, Delaja, fils de Schemaeja, Elnathan, fils d'Acbor, Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, Sédécias, fils de Hanania, et tous les autres chefs.(F) Jer 36:12 ging er hinab in des Königs Haus, in die Kanzlei. Und siehe, daselbst saßen alle Fürsten: Elisama, der Kanzler, Delaja, der Sohn Semajas, Elnathan, der Sohn Achbors, Gemarja, der Sohn Saphans, und Zedekia, der Sohn Hananjas, samt allen Fürsten.(D) Jer 36:12 καὶ προσεύξασθε πρός με καὶ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 36:12 he then went down to the king's house, into the scribe's chamber; and there all the princes were sitting--Elishama the scribe, Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, Elnathan the son of Achbor, Gemariah the son of Shaphan, Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:13 ============ Jer 36:13 Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard when Baruch read from the book to the people.(nasb) Jer 36:13 et nuntiavit eis Michæas omnia verba quæ audivit, legente Baruch ex volumine in auribus populi.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:13 Y Micaías les contó todas las palabras que había oído cuando Baruc leyó en el libro a oídos del pueblo.(E) Jérémie 36:13 Et Michée leur rapporta toutes les paroles qu'il avait entendues, lorsque Baruc lisait dans le livre, aux oreilles du peuple.(F) Jer 36:13 Und Michaja zeigte ihnen an alle Reden, die er gehört hatte, da Baruch las aus dem Buche vor den Ohren des Volks.(D) Jer 36:13 καὶ ἐκζητήσατέ με καὶ εὑρήσετέ με ὅτι ζητήσετέ με ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 36:13 Then Michaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard when Baruch read the book in the hearing of the people.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:14 ============ Jer 36:14 Then all the officials sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Take in your hand the scroll from which you have read to the people and come." So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and went to them.(nasb) Jer 36:14 Miserunt itaque omnes principes ad Baruch Judi filium Nathaniæ filii Selemiæ filii Chusi, dicentes: Volumen ex quo legisti, audiente populo, sume in manu tua, et veni. Tulit ergo Baruch filius Neriæ volumen in manu sua, et venit ad eos:(vulgate) Jeremías 36:14 Entonces enviaron todos los príncipes a Jehudí hijo de Netanías, hijo de Selemías, hijo de Cusi, para que dijese a Baruc: Toma el rollo en que leíste a oídos del pueblo, y ven. Y Baruc, hijo de Nerías, tomó el rollo en su mano y vino a ellos.(E) Jérémie 36:14 Alors tous les chefs envoyèrent vers Baruc Jehudi, fils de Nethania, fils de Schélémia, fils de Cuschi, pour lui dire: Prends en main le livre dans lequel tu as lu, aux oreilles du peuple, et viens! Baruc, fils de Nérija, prit en main le livre, et se rendit auprès d'eux.(F) Jer 36:14 Da sandten alle Fürsten Judi, den Sohn Nethanjas, des Sohnes Selemjas, des Sohnes Chusis, nach Baruch und ließen ihm sagen: Nimm das Buch daraus du vor dem Volk gelesen hast, mit dir und komme! Und Baruch, der Sohn Nerias, nahm das Buch mit sich und kam zu ihnen.(D) Jer 36:14 καὶ ἐπιφανοῦμαι ὑμῖν(lxx) Jer 36:14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Take in your hand the scroll from which you have read in the hearing of the people, and come." So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and came to them.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:15 ============ Jer 36:15 They said to him, "Sit down, please, and read it to us." So Baruch read it to them.(nasb) Jer 36:15 et dixerunt ad eum: Sede, et lege hæc in auribus nostris. Et legit Baruch in auribus eorum.(vulgate) Jeremías 36:15 Y le dijeron: Siéntate ahora, y léelo a nuestros oídos. Y leyó Baruc a sus oídos.(E) Jérémie 36:15 Ils lui dirent: Assieds-toi, et lis-le à nos oreilles. Et Baruc lut à leurs oreilles.(F) Jer 36:15 Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Setze dich und lies, daß wir es hören! Und Baruch las ihnen vor ihren Ohren.(D) Jer 36:15 ὅτι εἴπατε κατέστησεν ἡμῖν κύριος προφήτας ἐν Βαβυλῶνι(lxx) Jer 36:15 And they said to him, "Sit down now, and read it in our hearing."
