Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 49:1 ============ Jer 49:1 Concerning the sons of Ammon. Thus says the Lord: "Does Israel have no sons? Or has he no heirs? Why then has Malcam taken possession of Gad And his people settled in its cities?(nasb) Jer 49:1 Ad filios Ammon. [Hæc dicit Dominus: Numquid non filii sunt Israël, aut hæres non est ei? cur igitur hæreditate possedit Melchom Gad, et populus ejus in urbibus ejus habitavit?(vulgate) Jeremías 49:1 De los hijos de Amón. Así dice Jehová: ¿No tiene hijos Israel? ¿No tiene heredero? ¿Por qué tomó como por heredad el rey de ellos a Gad, y su pueblo habitó en sus ciudades?(E) Jérémie 49:1 Sur les enfants d'Ammon. Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Israël n'a-t-il point de fils? N'a-t-il point d'héritier? Pourquoi Malcom possède-t-il Gad, Et son peuple habite-t-il ses villes?(F) Jer 49:1 Wider die Kinder Ammon spricht der HERR also: Hat denn Israel nicht Kinder, oder hat es keinen Erben? Warum besitzt denn Milkom das Land Gad, und sein Volk wohnt in jener Städten?(D) Jer 49:1 καὶ προσῆλθον πάντες οἱ ἡγεμόνες τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ Ιωαναν καὶ Αζαριας υἱὸς Μαασαιου καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου(lxx) Jer 49:1 Against the Ammonites. Thus says the Lord: "Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Milcom inherit Gad, And his people dwell in its cities?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:2 ============ Jer 49:2 "Therefore behold, the days are coming," declares the Lord, "That I will cause a trumpet blast of war to be heard Against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon; And it will become a desolate heap, And her towns will be set on fire. Then Israel will take possession of his possessors," Says the Lord.(nasb) Jer 49:2 Ideo dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et auditum faciam super Rabbath filiorum Ammon fremitum prælii, et erit in tumultum dissipata, filiæque ejus igni succendentur, et possidebit Israël possessores suos, ait Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:2 Por tanto, he aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que haré oír en Rabá de los hijos de Amón clamor de guerra; y será puesta en montón de asolamiento, y sus ciudades serán puestas a fuego, e Israel tomará por heredad a los que los tomaron a ellos, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 49:2 C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, Où je ferai retentir le cri de guerre contre Rabbath des enfants d'Ammon; Elle deviendra un monceau de ruines, Et les villes de son ressort seront consumées par le feu; Alors Israël chassera ceux qui l'avaient chassé, dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 49:2 Darum siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, daß ich will ein Kriegsgeschrei erschallen lassen über Rabba der Kinder Ammon, daß sie soll auf einem Haufen wüst liegen und ihre Töchter mit Feuer angesteckt werden; aber Israel soll besitzen die, von denen sie besessen waren, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 49:2 πρὸς Ιερεμιαν τὸν προφήτην καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ πεσέτω δὴ τὸ ἔλεος ἡμῶν κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου καὶ πρόσευξαι πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν σου περὶ τῶν καταλοίπων τούτων ὅτι κατελείφθημεν ὀλίγοι ἀπὸ πολλῶν καθὼς οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου βλέπουσιν(lxx) Jer 49:2 Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "That I will cause to be heard an alarm of war In Rabbah of the Ammonites; It shall be a desolate mound, And her villages shall be burned with fire. Then Israel shall take possession of his inheritance," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:3 ============ Jer 49:3 "Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai has been destroyed! Cry out, O daughters of Rabbah, Gird yourselves with sackcloth and lament, And rush back and forth inside the walls; For Malcam will go into exile Together with his priests and his princes.(nasb) Jer 49:3 Ulula, Hesebon, quoniam vastata est Hai; clamate, filiæ Rabbath: accingite vos ciliciis, plangite et circuite per sepes, quoniam Melchom in transmigrationem ducetur, sacerdotes ejus et principes ejus simul.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:3 Aúlla, oh Hesbón, porque destruida es Hai; clamad, hijas de Rabá, vestíos de sacos, endechad, y rodead por los vallados, porque el rey de ellos fue en cautiverio, sus sacerdotes y sus príncipes juntamente.(E) Jérémie 49:3 Pousse des gémissements, Hesbon, car Aï est ravagée! Poussez des cris, filles de Rabba, revêtez-vous de sacs, Lamentez-vous, et courez çà et là le long des murailles! Car Malcom s'en va en captivité, Avec ses prêtres et avec ses chefs.(F) Jer 49:3 Heule, o Hesbon! denn Ai ist verstört. Schreiet, ihr Töchter Rabbas, und ziehet Säcke an, klaget und lauft auf den Mauern herum! denn Milkom wird gefangen weggeführt samt seinen Priestern und Fürsten.(D) Jer 49:3 καὶ ἀναγγειλάτω ἡμῖν κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὴν ὁδόν ᾗ πορευσόμεθα ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ λόγον ὃν ποιήσομεν(lxx) Jer 49:3 "Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is plundered! Cry, you daughters of Rabbah, Gird yourselves with sackcloth! Lament and run to and fro by the walls; For Milcom shall go into captivity With his priests and his princes together.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:4 ============ Jer 49:4 "How boastful you are about the valleys! Your valley is flowing away, O backsliding daughter Who trusts in her treasures, saying, 'Who will come against me?'(nasb) Jer 49:4 Quid gloriaris in vallibus? defluxit vallis tua, filia delicata, quæ confidebas in thesauris tuis, et dicebas: Quis veniet ad me?(vulgate) Jeremías 49:4 ¿Por qué te glorías de los valles? Tu valle se deshizo, oh hija contumaz, la que confía en sus tesoros, [la que dice]: ¿Quién vendrá contra mí?(E) Jérémie 49:4 Pourquoi te glorifies-tu de tes vallées? Ta vallée se fond, fille rebelle, Qui te confiais dans tes trésors: Qui viendra contre moi?(F) Jer 49:4 Was trotzest du auf deine Auen? Deine Auen sind ersäuft, du ungehorsame Tochter, die du dich auf deine Schätze verlässest und sprichst in deinem Herzen: Wer darf sich an mich machen?(D) Jer 49:4 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ιερεμιας ἤκουσα ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ προσεύξομαι πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν κατὰ τοὺς λόγους ὑμῶν καὶ ἔσται ὁ λόγος ὃν ἂν ἀποκριθήσεται κύριος ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν οὐ μὴ κρύψω ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν ῥῆμα(lxx) Jer 49:4 Why do you boast in the valleys, Your flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? Who trusted in her treasures, saying, 'Who will come against me?'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:5 ============ Jer 49:5 "Behold, I am going to bring terror upon you," Declares the Lord God of hosts, "From all directions around you; And each of you will be driven out headlong, With no one to gather the fugitives together.(nasb) Jer 49:5 Ecce ego inducam super te terrorem, ait Dominus Deus exercituum, ab omnibus qui sunt in circuitu tuo: et dispergemini singuli a conspectu vestro, nec erit qui congreget fugientes.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:5 He aquí yo traigo sobre ti espanto, dice el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos, de todos tus alrededores; y seréis lanzados cada uno en derechura de su rostro, y no habrá quien recoja al errante.(E) Jérémie 49:5 Voici, je fais venir sur toi la terreur, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées, Elle viendra de tous tes alentours; Chacun de vous sera chassé devant soi, Et nul ne ralliera les fuyards.(F) Jer 49:5 Siehe, spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth: Ich will Furcht über dich kommen lassen von allen, die um dich her wohnen, daß ein jeglicher seines Weges vor sich hinaus verstoßen werde und niemand sei, der die Flüchtigen sammle.(D) Jer 49:5 καὶ αὐτοὶ εἶπαν τῷ Ιερεμια ἔστω κύριος ἐν ἡμῖν εἰς μάρτυρα δίκαιον καὶ πιστόν εἰ μὴ κατὰ πάντα τὸν λόγον ὃν ἂν ἀποστείλῃ σε κύριος πρὸς ἡμᾶς οὕτως ποιήσομεν(lxx) Jer 49:5 Behold, I will bring fear upon you," Says the Lord God of hosts, "From all those who are around you; You shall be driven out, everyone headlong, And no one will gather those who wander off.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:6 ============ Jer 49:6 "But afterward I will restore The fortunes of the sons of Ammon," Declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 49:6 Et post hæc reverti faciam captivos filiorum Ammon, ait Dominus.]~(vulgate) Jeremías 49:6 Y después de esto haré tornar la cautividad de los hijos de Amón, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 49:6 Mais après cela, je ramènerai les captifs des enfants d'Ammon, Dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 49:6 Aber darnach will ich wieder wenden das Gefängnis der Kinder Ammon, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 49:6 καὶ ἐὰν ἀγαθὸν καὶ ἐὰν κακόν τὴν φωνὴν κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν οὗ ἡμεῖς ἀποστέλλομέν σε πρὸς αὐτόν ἀκουσόμεθα ἵνα βέλτιον ἡμῖν γένηται ὅτι ἀκουσόμεθα τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν(lxx) Jer 49:6 But afterward I will bring back The captives of the people of Ammon," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:7 ============ Jer 49:7 Concerning Edom. Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Is there no longer any wisdom in Teman? Has good counsel been lost to the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed?(nasb) Jer 49:7 Ad Idumæam. [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Numquid non ultra est sapientia in Theman? periit consilium a filiis; inutilis facta est sapientia eorum.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:7 De Edom. Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: ¿No hay más sabiduría en Temán? ¿Ha perecido el consejo en los sabios? ¿Se corrompió su sabiduría?(E) Jérémie 49:7 Sur Edom. Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: N'y a-t-il plus de sagesse dans Théman? La prudence a-t-elle disparu chez les hommes intelligents? Leur sagesse s'est-elle évanouie?(F) Jer 49:7 Wider Edom. So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ist denn keine Weisheit mehr zu Theman? ist denn kein Rat mehr bei den Klugen? ist ihre Weisheit so leer geworden?(D) Jer 49:7 καὶ ἐγενήθη μετὰ δέκα ἡμέρας ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν(lxx) Jer 49:7 Against Edom. Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:8 ============ Jer 49:8 "Flee away, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan, For I will bring the disaster of Esau upon him At the time I punish him.(nasb) Jer 49:8 Fugite, et terga vertite; descendite in voraginem, habitatores Dedan: quoniam perditionem Esau adduxi super eum, tempus visitationis ejus.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:8 Huid, volveos, escondeos en simas para estar, oh moradores de Dedán; porque el quebrantamiento de Esaú traeré sobre él, al tiempo que lo tengo de visitar.(E) Jérémie 49:8 Fuyez, tournez le dos, retirez-vous dans les cavernes, Habitants de Dedan! Car je fais venir le malheur sur Esaü, Le temps de son châtiment.(F) Jer 49:8 Fliehet, wendet euch und verkriecht euch tief, ihr Bürger zu Dedan! denn ich lasse einen Unfall über Esau kommen, die Zeit seiner Heimsuchung.(D) Jer 49:8 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Ιωαναν καὶ τοὺς ἡγεμόνας τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου(lxx) Jer 49:8 Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, The time that I will punish him.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:9 ============ Jer 49:9 "If grape gatherers came to you, Would they not leave gleanings? If thieves came by night, They would destroy only until they had enough.(nasb) Jer 49:9 Si vindemiatores venissent super te, non reliquissent racemum: si fures in nocte rapuissent quod sufficeret sibi.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:9 Si vendimiadores vinieran contra ti, ¿no dejarán rebuscos? Si ladrones de noche, tomarán sólo hasta que les baste.(E) Jérémie 49:9 Si des vendangeurs viennent chez toi, Ne laissent-ils rien à grappiller? Si des voleurs viennent de nuit, Ils ne dévastent que ce qu'ils peuvent.(F) Jer 49:9 Es sollen Weinleser über dich kommen, die dir kein Nachlesen lassen; und die Diebe des Nachts sollen über dich kommen, die sollen ihnen genug verderben.(D) Jer 49:9 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος(lxx) Jer 49:9 If grape-gatherers came to you, Would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, Would they not destroy until they have enough?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:10 ============ Jer 49:10 "But I have stripped Esau bare, I have uncovered his hiding places So that he will not be able to conceal himself; His offspring has been destroyed along with his relatives And his neighbors, and he is no more.(nasb) Jer 49:10 Ego vero discooperui Esau: revelavi abscondita ejus, et celari non poterit: vastatum est semen ejus, et fratres ejus, et vicini ejus, et non erit.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:10 Mas yo desnudaré a Esaú, descubriré sus escondrijos, y no podrá esconderse: será destruida su simiente, y sus hermanos, y sus vecinos; y no será.(E) Jérémie 49:10 Mais moi, je dépouillerai Esaü, Je découvrirai ses retraites, Il ne pourra se cacher; Ses enfants, ses frères, ses voisins, périront, Et il ne sera plus.(F) Jer 49:10 Denn ich habe Esau entblößt und seine verborgenen Orte geöffnet, daß er sich nicht verstecken kann; sein Same, seine Brüder und seine Nachbarn sind verstört, daß ihrer keiner mehr da ist.(D) Jer 49:10 ἐὰν καθίσαντες καθίσητε ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ οἰκοδομήσω ὑμᾶς καὶ οὐ μὴ καθέλω καὶ φυτεύσω ὑμᾶς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκτίλω ὅτι ἀναπέπαυμαι ἐπὶ τοῖς κακοῖς οἷς ἐποίησα ὑμῖν(lxx) Jer 49:10 But I have made Esau bare; I have uncovered his secret places, And he shall not be able to hide himself. His descendants are plundered, His brethren and his neighbors, And he is no more.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:11 ============ Jer 49:11 "Leave your orphans behind, I will keep them alive; And let your widows trust in Me."(nasb) Jer 49:11 Relinque pupillos tuos: ego faciam eos vivere: et viduæ tuæ in me sperabunt.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:11 Deja tus huérfanos, yo los criaré; y en mí se confiarán tus viudas.(E) Jérémie 49:11 Laisse tes orphelins, je les ferai vivre, Et que tes veuves se confient en moi!(F) Jer 49:11 Doch was Übrigbleibt von deinen Waisen, denen will ich das Leben gönnen, und deine Witwen werden auf mich hoffen.(D) Jer 49:11 μὴ φοβηθῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος οὗ ὑμεῖς φοβεῖσθε ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ μὴ φοβηθῆτε φησὶν κύριος ὅτι μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἐγώ εἰμι τοῦ ἐξαιρεῖσθαι ὑμᾶς καὶ σῴζειν ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 49:11 Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; And let your widows trust in Me."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:12 ============ Jer 49:12 For thus says the Lord, "Behold, those who were not sentenced to drink the cup will certainly drink it, and are you the one who will be completely acquitted? You will not be acquitted, but you will certainly drink it.(nasb) Jer 49:12 Quia hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce quibus non erat judicium ut biberent calicem, bibentes bibent: et tu, quasi innocens relinqueris? non eris innocens, sed bibens bibes.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:12 Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que los que no estaban condenados a beber del cáliz, beberán ciertamente; ¿y serás tú absuelto del todo? No serás absuelto, sino que de cierto beberás.(E) Jérémie 49:12 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, ceux qui ne devaient pas boire la coupe la boiront; Et toi, tu resterais impuni! Tu ne resteras pas impuni, Tu la boiras.(F) Jer 49:12 Denn so spricht der HERR: Siehe, die, so es nicht verschuldet hatten, den Kelch zu trinken, müssen trinken; und du solltest ungestraft bleiben? Du sollst nicht ungestraft bleiben, sondern du mußt auch trinken.(D) Jer 49:12 καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν ἔλεος καὶ ἐλεήσω ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπιστρέψω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν(lxx) Jer 49:12 For thus says the Lord: "Behold, those whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunk. And are you the one who will altogether go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, but you shall surely drink of it.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:13 ============ Jer 49:13 For I have sworn by Myself," declares the Lord, "that Bozrah will become an object of horror, a reproach, a ruin and a curse; and all its cities will become perpetual ruins."(nasb) Jer 49:13 Quia per memetipsum juravi, dicit Dominus, quod in solitudinem, et in opprobrium, et in desertum, et in maledictionem erit Bosra, et omnes civitates ejus erunt in solitudines sempiternas.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:13 Porque por mí he jurado, dice Jehová, que en asolamiento, en oprobio, en soledad, y en maldición, será Bosra; y todas sus ciudades serán en asolamientos perpetuos.(E) Jérémie 49:13 Car je le jure par moi-même, dit l'Eternel, Botsra sera un objet de désolation, d'opprobre, De dévastation et de malédiction, Et toutes ses villes deviendront des ruines éternelles.(F) Jer 49:13 Denn ich habe bei mir selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR, daß Bozra soll ein Wunder, Schmach, Wüste und Fluch werden und alle ihre Städte eine ewige Wüste.(D) Jer 49:13 καὶ εἰ λέγετε ὑμεῖς οὐ μὴ καθίσωμεν ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἀκοῦσαι φωνῆς κυρίου(lxx) Jer 49:13 For I have sworn by Myself," says the Lord, "that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse. And all its cities shall be perpetual wastes."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:14 ============ Jer 49:14 I have heard a message from the Lord, And an envoy is sent among the nations, saying, "Gather yourselves together and come against her, And rise up for battle!"(nasb) Jer 49:14 Auditum audivi a Domino, et legatus ad gentes missus est: Congregamini, et venite contra eam, et consurgamus in prælium.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:14 La fama oí, que de Jehová había sido enviado mensajero a las naciones, [diciendo]: Juntaos, y venid contra ella, y levantaos a la batalla.(E) Jérémie 49:14 J'ai appris de l'Eternel une nouvelle, Et un messager a été envoyé parmi les nations: Assemblez-vous, et marchez contre elle! Levez-vous pour la guerre!(F) Jer 49:14 Ich habe gehört vom HERRN, daß eine Botschaft unter die Heiden gesandt sei: Sammelt euch und kommt her wider sie, macht euch auf zum Streit!(D) Jer 49:14 ὅτι εἰς γῆν Αἰγύπτου εἰσελευσόμεθα καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδωμεν πόλεμον καὶ φωνὴν σάλπιγγος οὐ μὴ ἀκούσωμεν καὶ ἐν ἄρτοις οὐ μὴ πεινάσωμεν καὶ ἐκεῖ οἰκήσομεν(lxx) Jer 49:14 I have heard a message from the Lord, And an ambassador has been sent to the nations: "Gather together, come against her, And rise up to battle!(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:15 ============ Jer 49:15 "For behold, I have made you small among the nations, Despised among men.(nasb) Jer 49:15 Ecce enim parvulum dedi te in gentibus, contemptibilem inter homines.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:15 Porque he aquí que pequeño te he puesto entre las naciones, menospreciado entre los hombres.(E) Jérémie 49:15 Car voici, je te rendrai petit parmi les nations, Méprisé parmi les hommes.(F) Jer 49:15 Denn siehe, ich habe dich gering gemacht unter den Heiden und verachtet unter den Menschen.(D) Jer 49:15 διὰ τοῦτο ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἐὰν ὑμεῖς δῶτε τὸ πρόσωπον ὑμῶν εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ εἰσέλθητε ἐκεῖ κατοικεῖν(lxx) Jer 49:15 "For indeed, I will make you small among nations, Despised among men.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 49:16 ============ Jer 49:16 "As for the terror of you, The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, O you who live in the clefts of the rock, Who occupy the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as high as an eagle's, I will bring you down from there," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 49:16 Arrogantia tua decepit te, et superbia cordis tui, qui habitas in cavernis petræ, et apprehendere niteris altitudinem collis: cum exaltaveris quasi aquila nidum tuum, inde detraham te, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 49:16 Tu arrogancia te engañó, y la soberbia de tu corazón, tú que habitas en cavernas de peñas, que tienes la altura del monte: aunque alces como águila tu nido, de allí te haré descender, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 49:16 Ta présomption, l'orgueil de ton coeur t'a égaré, Toi qui habites le creux des rochers, Et qui occupes le sommet des collines. Quand tu placerais ton nid aussi haut que celui de l'aigle, Je t'en précipiterai, dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 49:16 Dein Trotz und dein Hochmut hat dich betrogen, weil du in Felsenklüften wohnst und hohe Gebirge innehast.
