Ego Daniel, post id quod videram in principio,(vulgate) Daniel 8:1 En el año tercero del reinado del rey Belsasar, me apareció una visión a mí, Daniel, después de aquella que me había aparecido antes.(E) Daniel 8:1 La troisième année du règne du roi Belschatsar, moi, Daniel, j'eus une vision, outre celle que j'avais eue précédemment.(F) Dan 8:1 Im dritten Jahr des Königreichs des Königs Belsazer erschien mir, Dan el, ein Gesicht nach dem, so mir zuerst erschienen war.(D) Dan 8:1 ἔτους τρίτου βασιλεύοντος Βαλτασαρ ὅρασις ἣν εἶδον ἐγὼ Δανιηλ μετὰ τὸ ἰδεῖν με τὴν πρώτην(lxx) Dan 8:1 In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me--to me, Daniel--after the one that appeared to me the first time.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:2 ============ Dan 8:2 I looked in the vision, and while I was looking I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam; and I looked in the vision and I myself was beside the Ulai Canal.(nasb) Dan 8:2 vidi in visione mea, cum essem in Susis castro, quod est in AElam regione: vidi autem in visione esse me super portam Ulai.(vulgate) Daniel 8:2 Vi en visión, y sucedió cuando la vi, que yo [estaba] en Susán, que [es] cabecera del reino en la provincia de Elam; vi, pues, en visión, estando junto al río Ulai.(E) Daniel 8:2 Lorsque j'eus cette vision, il me sembla que j'étais à Suse, la capitale, dans la province d'Elam; et pendant ma vision, je me trouvais près du fleuve d'Ulaï.(F) Dan 8:2 Ich war aber in solchem Gesicht zu Schloß Susan im Lande Elam, am Wasser Ulai.(D) Dan 8:2 καὶ εἶδον ἐν τῷ ὁράματι τοῦ ἐνυπνίου μου ἐμοῦ ὄντος ἐν Σούσοις τῇ πόλει ἥτις ἐστὶν ἐν Ἐλυμαΐδι χώρᾳ ἔτι ὄντος μου πρὸς τῇ πύλῃ Αιλαμ(lxx) Dan 8:2 I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I was in Shushan, the citadel, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:3 ============ Dan 8:3 Then I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a ram which had two horns was standing in front of the canal. Now the two horns were long, but one was longer than the other, with the longer one coming up last.(nasb) Dan 8:3 Et levavi oculus meos, et vidi: et ecce aries unus stabat ante paludem, habens cornua excelsa, et unum excelsius altero atque succrescens. Postea(vulgate) Daniel 8:3 Y alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí un carnero que estaba delante del río, el cual [tenía] dos cuernos; y los dos cuernos [eran] altos, pero uno [era] más alto que el otro; y el más alto subió a la postre.(E) Daniel 8:3 Je levai les yeux, je regardai, et voici, un bélier se tenait devant le fleuve, et il avait des cornes; ces cornes étaient hautes, mais l'une était plus haute que l'autre, et elle s'éleva la dernière.(F) Dan 8:3 Und ich hob meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, ein Widder stand vor dem Wasser, der hatte zwei hohe Hörner, doch eins höher denn das andere, und das höchste wuchs am letzten.(D) Dan 8:3 ἀναβλέψας εἶδον κριὸν ἕνα μέγαν ἑστῶτα ἀπέναντι τῆς πύλης καὶ εἶχε κέρατα καὶ τὸ ἓν ὑψηλότερον τοῦ ἑτέρου καὶ τὸ ὑψηλότερον ἀνέβαινε(lxx) Dan 8:3 Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and there, standing beside the river, was a ram which had two horns, and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:4 ============ Dan 8:4 I saw the ram butting westward, northward, and southward, and no other beasts could stand before him nor was there anyone to rescue from his power, but he did as he pleased and magnified himself.(nasb) Dan 8:4 vidi arietem cornibus ventilantem contra occidentem, et contra aquilonem, et contra meridiem, et omnes bestiae non poterant resistere ei, neque liberari de manu ejus: fecitque secundum voluntatem suam, et magnificatus est.(vulgate) Daniel 8:4 Vi que el carnero hería con los cuernos al poniente, al norte y al sur, y que ninguna bestia podía mantenerse de pie delante de él, ni [había] quien librara de su mano; y hacía conforme a su voluntad, y se engrandecía.(E) Daniel 8:4 Je vis le bélier qui frappait de ses cornes à l'occident, au septentrion et au midi; aucun animal ne pouvait lui résister, et il n'y avait personne pour délivrer ses victimes; il faisait ce qu'il voulait, et il devint puissant.(F) Dan 8:4 Ich sah, daß der Widder mit den Hörnern stieß gegen Abend, gegen Mitternacht und gegen Mittag; und kein Tier konnte vor ihm bestehen noch von seiner Hand errettet werden, sondern er tat, was er wollte, und ward groß.(D) Dan 8:4 μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα εἶδον τὸν κριὸν κερατίζοντα πρὸς ἀνατολὰς καὶ πρὸς βορρᾶν καὶ πρὸς δυσμὰς καὶ μεσημβρίαν καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία οὐκ ἔστησαν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ῥυόμενος ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐποίει ὡς ἤθελε καὶ ὑψώθη(lxx) Dan 8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward, so that no animal could withstand him; nor was there any that could deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became great.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:5 ============ Dan 8:5 While I was observing, behold, a male goat was coming from the west over the surface of the whole earth without touching the ground; and the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes.(nasb) Dan 8:5 Et ego intelligebam: ecce autem hircus caprarum veniebat ab occidente super faciem totius terrae, et non tangebat terram: porro hircus habebat cornu insigne inter oculos suos.(vulgate) Daniel 8:5 Y mientras yo consideraba, he aquí un macho cabrío venía de la parte del poniente sobre la faz de toda la tierra, el cual no tocaba la tierra; y aquel macho cabrío [tenía] un cuerno notable entre sus ojos.(E) Daniel 8:5 Comme je regardais attentivement, voici, un bouc venait de l'occident, et parcourait toute la terre à sa surface, sans la toucher; ce bouc avait une grande corne entre les yeux.(F) Dan 8:5 Und indem ich darauf merkte, siehe, da kommt ein Ziegenbock vom Abend her über die ganze Erde, daß er die Erde nicht berührte; und der Bock hatte ein ansehnliches Horn zwischen seinen Augen.(D) Dan 8:5 καὶ ἐγὼ διενοούμην καὶ ἰδοὺ τράγος αἰγῶν ἤρχετο ἀπὸ δυσμῶν ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς καὶ οὐχ ἥπτετο τῆς γῆς καὶ ἦν τοῦ τράγου κέρας ἓν ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ(lxx) Dan 8:5 And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:6 ============ Dan 8:6 He came up to the ram that had the two horns, which I had seen standing in front of the canal, and rushed at him in his mighty wrath.(nasb) Dan 8:6 Et venit usque ad arietem illum cornutum, quem videram stantem ante portam, et cucurrit ad eum in impetu fortitudinis suae.(vulgate) Daniel 8:6 Y vino hasta el carnero que tenía los [dos] cuernos, al cual yo había visto que estaba delante del río, y corrió contra él con la ira de su poder.(E) Daniel 8:6 Il arriva jusqu'au bélier qui avait des cornes, et que j'avais vu se tenant devant le fleuve, et il courut sur lui dans toute sa fureur.(F) Dan 8:6 Und er kam bis zu dem Widder der zwei Hörner hatte, den ich stehen sah vor dem Wasser, und er lief in seinem Zorn gewaltig auf ihn zu.(D) Dan 8:6 καὶ ἦλθεν ἐπὶ τὸν κριὸν τὸν τὰ κέρατα ἔχοντα ὃν εἶδον ἑστῶτα πρὸς τῇ πύλῃ καὶ ἔδραμε πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν θυμῷ ὀργῆς(lxx) Dan 8:6 Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:7 ============ Dan 8:7 I saw him come beside the ram, and he was enraged at him; and he struck the ram and shattered his two horns, and the ram had no strength to withstand him. So he hurled him to the ground and trampled on him, and there was none to rescue the ram from his power.(nasb) Dan 8:7 Cumque appropinquasset prope arietem, efferatus est in eum, et percussit arietem: et comminuit duo cornua ejus, et non poterat aries resistere ei: cumque eum misisset in terram, conculcavit, et nemo quibat liberare arietem de manu ejus.(vulgate) Daniel 8:7 Y lo vi que llegó junto al carnero, y se levantó contra él, y lo hirió, y quebró sus dos cuernos, porque en el carnero no había fuerzas para pararse delante de él; lo derribó por tanto en tierra, y lo pisoteó; y no hubo quien librase al carnero de su mano.(E) Daniel 8:7 Je le vis qui s'approchait du bélier et s'irritait contre lui; il frappa le bélier et lui brisa les deux cornes, sans que le bélier eût la force de lui résister; il le jeta par terre et le foula, et il n'y eut personne pour délivrer le bélier.(F) Dan 8:7 Und ich sah ihm zu, daß er hart an den Widder kam, und er ergrimmte über ihn und stieß den Widder und zerbrach ihm seine zwei Hörner. Und der Widder hatte keine Kraft, daß er vor ihm hätte können bestehen; sondern er warf ihn zu Boden und zertrat ihn und niemand konnte den Widder von seiner Hand erretten.(D) Dan 8:7 καὶ εἶδον αὐτὸν προσάγοντα πρὸς τὸν κριόν καὶ ἐθυμώθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπάταξε καὶ συνέτριψε τὰ δύο κέρατα αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκέτι ἦν ἰσχὺς ἐν τῷ κριῷ στῆναι κατέναντι τοῦ τράγου καὶ ἐσπάραξεν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ συνέτριψεν αὐτόν καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ῥυόμενος τὸν κριὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ τράγου(lxx) Dan 8:7 And I saw him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:8 ============ Dan 8:8 Then the male goat magnified himself exceedingly. But as soon as he was mighty, the large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.(nasb) Dan 8:8 Hircus autem caprarum magnus factus est nimis: cumque crevisset, fractum est cornu magnum, et orta sunt quatuor cornua subter illud per quatuor ventos caeli.(vulgate) Daniel 8:8 Y el macho cabrío se engrandeció en gran manera; y estando en su mayor fuerza, aquel gran cuerno fue quebrado, y en su lugar subieron otros cuatro [cuernos] notables hacia los cuatro vientos del cielo.(E) Daniel 8:8 Le bouc devint très puissant; mais lorsqu'il fut puissant, sa grande corne se brisa. Quatre grandes cornes s'élevèrent pour la remplacer, aux quatre vents des cieux.(F) Dan 8:8 Und der Ziegenbock ward sehr groß. Und da er am stärksten geworden war, zerbrach das große Horn, und wuchsen ihm an seiner Statt vier ansehnliche gegen die vier Winde des Himmels.(D) Dan 8:8 καὶ ὁ τράγος τῶν αἰγῶν κατίσχυσε σφόδρα καὶ ὅτε κατίσχυσε συνετρίβη αὐτοῦ τὸ κέρας τὸ μέγα καὶ ἀνέβη ἕτερα τέσσαρα κέρατα κατόπισθεν αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους τοῦ οὐρανοῦ(lxx) Dan 8:8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:9 ============ Dan 8:9 Out of one of them came forth a rather small horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Beautiful Land.(nasb) Dan 8:9 De uno autem ex eis egressum est cornu unum modicum: et factum est grande contra meridiem, et contra orientem, et contra fortitudinem.(vulgate) Daniel 8:9 Y de uno de ellos salió un cuerno pequeño, el cual creció mucho al sur, y al oriente y hacia la [tierra] gloriosa.(E) Daniel 8:9 De l'une d'elles sortit une petite corne, qui s'agrandit beaucoup vers le midi, vers l'orient, et vers le plus beau des pays.(F) Dan 8:9 Und aus einem wuchs ein kleines Horn; das ward sehr groß gegen Mittag, gegen Morgen und gegen das werte Land.(D) Dan 8:9 καὶ ἐξ ἑνὸς αὐτῶν ἀνεφύη κέρας ἰσχυρὸν ἓν καὶ κατίσχυσε καὶ ἐπάταξεν ἐπὶ μεσημβρίαν καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἐπὶ βορρᾶν(lxx) Dan 8:9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:10 ============ Dan 8:10 It grew up to the host of heaven and caused some of the host and some of the stars to fall to the earth, and it trampled them down.(nasb) Dan 8:10 Et magnificatum est usque ad fortitudinem caeli: et dejecit de fortitudine, et de stellis, et conculcavit eas.(vulgate) Daniel 8:10 Y se engrandeció hasta el ejército del cielo; y [parte] del ejército y de las estrellas echó por tierra y las pisoteó.(E) Daniel 8:10 Elle s'éleva jusqu'à l'armée des cieux, elle fit tomber à terre une partie de cette armée et des étoiles, et elle les foula.(F) Dan 8:10 Und es wuchs bis an des Himmels Heer und warf etliche davon und von den Sternen zur Erde und zertrat sie.(D) Dan 8:10 καὶ ὑψώθη ἕως τῶν ἀστέρων τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐρράχθη ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ τῶν ἀστέρων καὶ ἀπὸ αὐτῶν κατεπατήθη(lxx) Dan 8:10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:11 ============ Dan 8:11 It even magnified itself to be equal with the Commander of the host; and it removed the regular sacrifice from Him, and the place of His sanctuary was thrown down.(nasb) Dan 8:11 Et usque ad principem fortitudinis magnificatum est: et ab eo tulit juge sacrificium, et dejecit locum sanctificationis ejus.(vulgate) Daniel 8:11 Aun contra el príncipe de la fortaleza se engrandeció, y por él fue quitado el continuo [sacrificio], y el lugar de su santuario fue echado por tierra.(E) Daniel 8:11 Elle s'éleva jusqu'au chef de l'armée, lui enleva le sacrifice perpétuel, et renversa le lieu de son sanctuaire.(F) Dan 8:11 Ja es wuchs bis an den Fürsten des Heeres und nahm von ihm weg das tägliche Opfer und verwüstete die Wohnung seines Heiligtums.(D) Dan 8:11 ἕως ὁ ἀρχιστράτηγος ῥύσεται τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν καὶ δι᾽ αὐτὸν τὰ ὄρη τὰ ἀπ᾽ αἰῶνος ἐρράχθη καὶ ἐξήρθη ὁ τόπος αὐτῶν καὶ θυσία καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὴν ἕως χαμαὶ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ εὐωδώθη καὶ ἐγενήθη καὶ τὸ ἅγιον ἐρημωθήσεται(lxx) Dan 8:11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:12 ============ Dan 8:12 And on account of transgression the host will be given over to the horn along with the regular sacrifice; and it will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper.(nasb) Dan 8:12 Robur autem datum est ei contra juge sacrificium propter peccata: et prosternetur veritas in terra, et faciet, et prosperabitur.(vulgate) Daniel 8:12 Y el ejército le fue entregado a causa de la prevaricación sobre el continuo [sacrificio]; y echó por tierra la verdad, e hizo cuanto quiso, y prosperó.(E) Daniel 8:12 L'armée fut livrée avec le sacrifice perpétuel, à cause du péché; la corne jeta la vérité par terre, et réussit dans ses entreprises.(F) Dan 8:12 Es ward ihm aber solche Macht gegeben wider das tägliche Opfer um der Sünde willen, daß es die Wahrheit zu Boden schlüge und, was es tat, ihm gelingen mußte.(D) Dan 8:12 καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ἐπὶ τῇ θυσίᾳ αἱ ἁμαρτίαι καὶ ἐρρίφη χαμαὶ ἡ δικαιοσύνη καὶ ἐποίησε καὶ εὐωδώθη(lxx) Dan 8:12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:13 ============ Dan 8:13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that particular one who was speaking, "How long will the vision about the regular sacrifice apply, while the transgression causes horror, so as to allow both the holy place and the host to be trampled?"(nasb) Dan 8:13 Et audivi unum de sanctis loquentem: et dixit unus sanctus alteri nescio cui loquenti: Usquequo visio, et juge sacrificium, et peccatum desolationis quae facta est: et sanctuarium, et fortitudo conculcabitur?(vulgate) Daniel 8:13 Y oí a un santo que hablaba; y otro de los santos dijo a aquél que hablaba: ¿Hasta cuándo durará la visión del continuo [sacrificio], y la prevaricación asoladora que pone el santuario y el ejército para ser hollados?(E) Daniel 8:13 J'entendis parler un saint; et un autre saint dit à celui qui parlait: Pendant combien de temps s'accomplira la vision sur le sacrifice perpétuel et sur le péché dévastateur? Jusques à quand le sanctuaire et l'armée seront-ils foulés?(F) Dan 8:13 Ich hörte aber einen Heiligen reden; und ein Heiliger sprach zu dem, der da redete: Wie lange soll doch währen solch Gesicht vom täglichen Opfer und von der Sünde, um welcher willen diese Verwüstung geschieht, daß beide, das Heiligtum und das Heer zertreten werden?(D) Dan 8:13 καὶ ἤκουον ἑτέρου ἁγίου λαλοῦντος καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἕτερος τῷ φελμουνι τῷ λαλοῦντι ἕως τίνος τὸ ὅραμα στήσεται καὶ ἡ θυσία ἡ ἀρθεῖσα καὶ ἡ ἁμαρτία ἐρημώσεως ἡ δοθεῖσα καὶ τὰ ἅγια ἐρημωθήσεται εἰς καταπάτημα(lxx) Dan 8:13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, "How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?"(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:14 ============ Dan 8:14 He said to me, "For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the holy place will be properly restored."(nasb) Dan 8:14 Et dixit ei: Usque ad vesperam et mane, dies duo millia trecenti: et mundabitur sanctuarium.(vulgate) Daniel 8:14 Y él me dijo: Hasta dos mil trescientas tardes y mañanas; y el santuario será purificado.(E) Daniel 8:14 Et il me dit: Deux mille trois cents soirs et matins; puis le sanctuaire sera purifié.(F) Dan 8:14 Und er antwortete mir: Bis zweitausend dreihundert Abende und Morgen um sind; dann wird das Heiligtum wieder geweiht werden.(D) Dan 8:14 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ πρωὶ ἡμέραι δισχίλιαι τριακόσιαι καὶ καθαρισθήσεται τὸ ἅγιον(lxx) Dan 8:14 And he said to me, "For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:15 ============ Dan 8:15 When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it; and behold, standing before me was one who looked like a man.(nasb) Dan 8:15 Factum est autem cum viderem ego Daniel visionem, et quaererem intelligentiam: ecce stetit in conspectu meo quasi species viri.(vulgate) Daniel 8:15 Y aconteció que mientras yo Daniel consideraba la visión, y buscaba su significado, he aquí uno con apariencia de hombre se puso delante de mí.(E) Daniel 8:15 Tandis que moi, Daniel, j'avais cette vision et que je cherchais à la comprendre, voici, quelqu'un qui avait l'apparence d'un homme se tenait devant moi.(F) Dan 8:15 Und da ich, Dan el, solch Gesicht sah und hätte es gern verstanden, siehe, da stand's vor mir wie ein Mann.(D) Dan 8:15 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ θεωρεῖν με ἐγὼ Δανιηλ τὸ ὅραμα ἐζήτουν διανοηθῆναι καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔστη κατεναντίον μου ὡς ὅρασις ἀνθρώπου(lxx) Dan 8:15 Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:16 ============ Dan 8:16 And I heard the voice of a man between the banks of Ulai, and he called out and said, "Gabriel, give this man an understanding of the vision."(nasb) Dan 8:16 Et audivi vocem viri inter Ulai: et clamavit, et ait: Gabriel, fac intelligere istam visionem.(vulgate) Daniel 8:16 Y oí una voz de hombre entre [las riberas] de Ulai, que gritó y dijo: Gabriel, enseña a éste la visión.(E) Daniel 8:16 Et j'entendis la voix d'un homme au milieu de l'Ulaï; il cria et dit: Gabriel, explique-lui la vision.(F) Dan 8:16 Und ich hörte mitten vom Ulai her einen mit Menschenstimme rufen und sprechen: Gabriel, lege diesem das Gesicht aus, daß er's verstehe!(D) Dan 8:16 καὶ ἤκουσα φωνὴν ἀνθρώπου ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ Ουλαι καὶ ἐκάλεσε καὶ εἶπεν Γαβριηλ συνέτισον ἐκεῖνον τὴν ὅρασιν καὶ ἀναβοήσας εἶπεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσταγμα ἐκεῖνο ἡ ὅρασις(lxx) Dan 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, who called, and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:17 ============ Dan 8:17 So he came near to where I was standing, and when he came I was frightened and fell on my face; but he said to me, "Son of man, understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end."(nasb) Dan 8:17 Et venit, et stetit juxta ubi ego stabam: cumque venisset, pavens corrui in faciem meam: et ait ad me: Intellige, fili hominis, quoniam in tempore finis complebitur visio.(vulgate) Daniel 8:17 Vino luego cerca de donde yo estaba; y con su venida me asombré, y caí sobre mi rostro. Pero él me dijo: Entiende, hijo de hombre, porque la visión [será] para el tiempo del fin.(E) Daniel 8:17 Il vint alors près du lieu où j'étais; et à son approche, je fus effrayé, et je tombai sur ma face. Il me dit: Sois attentif, fils de l'homme, car la vision concerne un temps qui sera la fin.(F) Dan 8:17 Und er trat nahe zu mir. Ich erschrak aber, da er kam, und fiel auf mein Angesicht. Er aber sprach zu mir: Merke auf, du Menschenkind! denn dies Gesicht gehört in die Zeit des Endes.(D) Dan 8:17 καὶ ἦλθε καὶ ἔστη ἐχόμενός μου τῆς στάσεως καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔρχεσθαι αὐτὸν ἐθορυβήθην καὶ ἔπεσα ἐπὶ πρόσωπόν μου καὶ εἶπέν μοι διανοήθητι υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἔτι γὰρ εἰς ὥραν καιροῦ τοῦτο τὸ ὅραμα(lxx) Dan 8:17 So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face; but he said to me, "Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:18 ============ Dan 8:18 Now while he was talking with me, I sank into a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me and made me stand upright.(nasb) Dan 8:18 Cumque loqueretur ad me, collapsus sum pronus in terram: et tetigit me, et statuit me in gradu meo,(vulgate) Daniel 8:18 Y mientras él hablaba conmigo, caí dormido en tierra sobre mi rostro; y él me tocó, y me hizo estar en pie.(E) Daniel 8:18 Comme il me parlait, je restai frappé d'étourdissement, la face contre terre. Il me toucha, et me fit tenir debout à la place où je me trouvais.(F) Dan 8:18 Und da er mit mir redete, sank ich in eine Ohnmacht zur Erde auf mein Angesicht. Er aber rührte mich an und richtete mich auf, daß ich stand.(D) Dan 8:18 καὶ λαλοῦντος αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐκοιμήθην ἐπὶ πρόσωπον χαμαί καὶ ἁψάμενός μου ἤγειρέ με ἐπὶ τοῦ τόπου(lxx) Dan 8:18 Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:19 ============ Dan 8:19 He said, "Behold, I am going to let you know what will occur at the final period of the indignation, for it pertains to the appointed time of the end.(nasb) Dan 8:19 dixitque mihi: Ego ostendam tibi quae futura sunt in novissimo maledictionis: quoniam habet tempus finem suum.(vulgate) Daniel 8:19 Y dijo: He aquí yo te enseñaré lo que ha de venir en el fin de la ira; porque al tiempo señalado el fin [se cumplirá].(E) Daniel 8:19 Puis il me dit: Je vais t'apprendre, ce qui arrivera au terme de la colère, car il y a un temps marqué pour la fin.(F) Dan 8:19 Und er sprach: Siehe, ich will dir zeigen, wie es gehen wird zur Zeit des letzten Zorns; denn das Ende hat seine bestimmte Zeit.(D) Dan 8:19 καὶ εἶπέ μοι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀπαγγέλλω σοι ἃ ἔσται ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτου τῆς ὀργῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ λαοῦ σου ἔτι γὰρ εἰς ὥρας καιροῦ συντελείας μενεῖ(lxx) Dan 8:19 And he said, "Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:20 ============ Dan 8:20 The ram which you saw with the two horns represents the kings of Media and Persia.(nasb) Dan 8:20 Aries, quem vidisti habere cornua, rex Medorum est atque Persarum.(vulgate) Daniel 8:20 Aquel carnero que viste, que tenía [dos] cuernos, [son] los reyes de Media y de Persia.(E) Daniel 8:20 Le bélier que tu as vu, et qui avait des cornes, ce sont les rois des Mèdes et des Perses.(F) Dan 8:20 Der Widder mit den zwei Hörnern, den du gesehen hast, sind die Könige in Medien und Persien.(D) Dan 8:20 τὸν κριὸν ὃν εἶδες τὸν ἔχοντα τὰ κέρατα βασιλεὺς Μήδων καὶ Περσῶν ἐστι(lxx) Dan 8:20 The ram which you saw, having the two horns--they are the kings of Media and Persia.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:21 ============ Dan 8:21 The shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king.(nasb) Dan 8:21 Porro hircus caprarum, rex Graecorum est; et cornu grande, quod erat inter oculos ejus, ipse est rex primus.(vulgate) Daniel 8:21 Y el macho cabrío [es] el rey de Grecia; y el cuerno grande que tenía entre sus ojos [es] el rey primero.(E) Daniel 8:21 Le bouc, c'est le roi de Javan, La grande corne entre ses yeux, c'est le premier roi.(F) Dan 8:21 Der Ziegenbock aber ist der König in Griechenland. The large horn that is between its eyes is the first king.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:22 ============ Dan 8:22 The broken horn and the four horns that arose in its place represent four kingdoms which will arise from his nation, although not with his power.(nasb) Dan 8:22 Quod autem fracto illo surrexerunt quatuor pro eo: quatuor reges de gente ejus consurgent, sed non in fortitudine ejus.(vulgate) Daniel 8:22 Y [en cuanto al cuerno] que fue quebrado y sucedieron cuatro en su lugar, significa que cuatro reinos se levantarán de esa nación, mas no con la fuerza de él.(E) Daniel 8:22 Les quatre cornes qui se sont élevées pour remplacer cette corne brisée, ce sont quatre royaumes qui s'élèveront de cette nation, mais qui n'auront pas autant de force.(F) Dan 8:22 Daß aber vier an seiner Statt standen, da es zerbrochen war, bedeutet, daß vier Königreiche aus dem Volk entstehen werden, aber nicht so mächtig, wie er war.(D) Dan 8:22 καὶ τὰ συντριβέντα καὶ ἀναβάντα ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ τέσσαρα κέρατα τέσσαρες βασιλεῖς τοῦ ἔθνους αὐτοῦ ἀναστήσονται οὐ κατὰ τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτοῦ(lxx) Dan 8:22 As for the broken horn and the four that stood up in its place, four kingdoms shall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:23 ============ Dan 8:23 "In the latter period of their rule, When the transgressors have run their course, A king will arise, Insolent and skilled in intrigue.(nasb) Dan 8:23 Et post regnum eorum, cum creverint iniquitates, consurget rex impudens facie, et intelligens propositiones;(vulgate) Daniel 8:23 Y al fin del reinado de éstos, cuando los transgresores hayan llegado a su colmo, se levantará un rey altivo de rostro, y entendido en enigmas.(E) Daniel 8:23 A la fin de leur domination, lorsque les pécheurs seront consumés, il s'élèvera un roi impudent et artificieux.(F) Dan 8:23 In der letzten Zeit ihres Königreiches, wenn die Übertreter überhandnehmen, wird aufkommen ein frecher und tückischer König.(D) Dan 8:23 καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτου τῆς βασιλείας αὐτῶν πληρουμένων τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν ἀναστήσεται βασιλεὺς ἀναιδὴς προσώπῳ διανοούμενος αἰνίγματα(lxx) Dan 8:23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:24 ============ Dan 8:24 "His power will be mighty, but not by his own power, And he will destroy to an extraordinary degree And prosper and perform his will; He will destroy mighty men and the holy people.(nasb) Dan 8:24 et roborabitur fortitudo ejus, sed non in viribus suis: et supra quam credi potest, universa vastabit, et prosperabitur, et faciet. Et interficiet robustos, et populum sanctorum(vulgate) Daniel 8:24 Y su poder se fortalecerá, mas no por su propio poder, y destruirá maravillosamente, y prosperará; y hará arbitrariamente y destruirá a los fuertes y al pueblo de los santos.(E) Daniel 8:24 Sa puissance s'accroîtra, mais non par sa propre force; il fera d'incroyables ravages, il réussira dans ses entreprises, il détruira les puissants et le peuple des saints.(F) Dan 8:24 Der wird mächtig sein, doch nicht durch seine Kraft; er wird greulich verwüsten, und es wird ihm gelingen, daß er's ausrichte. Er wird die Starken samt dem heiligen Volk verstören.(D) Dan 8:24 καὶ στερεωθήσεται ἡ ἰσχὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ καὶ θαυμαστῶς φθερεῖ καὶ εὐοδωθήσεται καὶ ποιήσει καὶ φθερεῖ δυνάστας καὶ δῆμον ἁγίων(lxx) Dan 8:24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:25 ============ Dan 8:25 "And through his shrewdness He will cause deceit to succeed by his influence; And he will magnify himself in his heart, And he will destroy many while they are at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of princes, But he will be broken without human agency.(nasb) Dan 8:25 secundum voluntatem suam, et dirigetur dolus in manu ejus: et cor suum magnificabit, et in copia rerum omnium occidet plurimos: et contra principem principum consurget, et sine manu conteretur.(vulgate) Daniel 8:25 Y con su sagacidad hará prosperar el engaño en su mano; y en su corazón se engrandecerá, y con paz destruirá a muchos; y contra el Príncipe de los príncipes se levantará; mas sin mano será quebrantado.(E) Daniel 8:25 A cause de sa prospérité et du succès de ses ruses, il aura de l'arrogance dans le coeur, il fera périr beaucoup d'hommes qui vivaient paisiblement, et il s'élèvera contre le chef des chefs; mais il sera brisé, sans l'effort d'aucune main.(F) Dan 8:25 Und durch seine Klugheit wird ihm der Betrug geraten, und er wird sich in seinem Herzen erheben, und mitten im Frieden wird er viele verderben und wird sich auflehnen wider den Fürsten allen Fürsten; aber er wird ohne Hand zerbrochen werden.(D) Dan 8:25 καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἁγίους τὸ διανόημα αὐτοῦ καὶ εὐοδωθήσεται τὸ ψεῦδος ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ ὑψωθήσεται καὶ δόλῳ ἀφανιεῖ πολλοὺς καὶ ἐπὶ ἀπωλείας ἀνδρῶν στήσεται καὶ ποιήσει συναγωγὴν χειρὸς καὶ ἀποδώσεται(lxx) Dan 8:25 "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. Pour toi, tiens secrète cette vision, car elle se rapporte à des temps éloignés.(F) Dan 8:26 Dies Gesicht vom Abend und Morgen das dir gesagt ist, das ist wahr; aber du sollst das Gesicht heimlich halten, denn es ist noch eine lange Zeit dahin.(D) Dan 8:26 τὸ ὅραμα τὸ ἑσπέρας καὶ πρωὶ ηὑρέθη ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας καὶ νῦν πεφραγμένον τὸ ὅραμα ἔτι γὰρ εἰς ἡμέρας πολλάς(lxx) Dan 8:26 "And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 8:27 ============ Dan 8:27 Then I, Daniel, was exhausted and sick for days. Then I got up again and carried on the king's business; but I was astounded at the vision, and there was none to explain it.(nasb) Dan 8:27 Et ego Daniel langui, et aegrotavi per dies: cumque surrexissem, faciebam opera regis, et stupebam ad visionem, et non erat qui interpretaretur.(vulgate) Daniel 8:27 Y yo Daniel desfallecí y estuve enfermo [algunos] días; y cuando convalecí, atendí el asunto del rey; mas yo estaba espantado acerca de la visión, y no había quien la entendiese.(E) Daniel 8:27 Moi, Daniel, je fus plusieurs jours languissant et malade; puis je me levai, et je m'occupai des affaires du roi. J'étais étonné de la vision, et personne n'en eut connaissance.(F) Dan 8:27 Und ich, Dan el, ward schwach und lag etliche Tage krank. Darnach stand ich auf und richtete aus des Königs Geschäft. Und verwunderte mich des Gesichts; und war niemand da, der mir's auslegte.(D) Dan 8:27 ἐγὼ Δανιηλ ἀσθενήσας ἡμέρας πολλὰς καὶ ἀναστὰς ἐπραγματευόμην πάλιν βασιλικά καὶ ἐξελυόμην ἐπὶ τῷ ὁράματι καὶ οὐδεὶς ἦν ὁ διανοούμενος(lxx) Dan 8:27 And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose and went about the king's business.
