Today's Date: ======= Malachi 2:1 ============ Mal 2:1 "And now this commandment is for you, O priests.(nasb) Mal 2:1 Et nunc ad vos mandatum hoc, o sacerdotes.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:1 Ahora pues, oh sacerdotes, para vosotros [es] este mandamiento.(E) Malachie 2:1 Maintenant, à vous cet ordre, sacrificateurs!(F) Mal 2:1 Und nun, ihr Priester, dies Gebot gilt euch.(D) Mal 2:1 καὶ νῦν ἡ ἐντολὴ αὕτη πρὸς ὑμᾶς οἱ ἱερεῖς(lxx) Mal 2:1 "And now, O priests, this commandment is for you.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:2 ============ Mal 2:2 If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name," says the Lord of hosts, "then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.(nasb) Mal 2:2 Si nolueritis audire, et si nolueritis ponere super cor, ut detis gloriam nomini meo, ait Dominus exercituum, mittam in vos egestatem, et maledicam benedictionibus vestris, et maledicam illis, quoniam non posuistis super cor.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:2 Si no oyereis, y si no pusiereis en vuestro corazón el dar gloria a mi nombre, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, yo enviaré maldición sobre vosotros, y maldeciré vuestras bendiciones; y ya las he maldecido, porque no lo ponéis en vuestro corazón.(E) Malachie 2:2 Si vous n'écoutez pas, si vous ne prenez pas à coeur De donner gloire à mon nom, dit l'Eternel des armées, J'enverrai parmi vous la malédiction, et je maudirai vos bénédictions; Oui, je les maudirai, parce que vous ne l'avez pas à coeur.(F) Mal 2:2 Wo ihr's nicht hört noch zu Herzen nehmen werdet, daß ihr meinem Namen die Ehre gebt, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, so werde ich den Fluch unter euch schicken und euren Segen verfluchen, ja verfluchen werde ich ihn, weil ihr's nicht wolltet zu Herzen nehmen.(D) Mal 2:2 ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούσητε καὶ ἐὰν μὴ θῆσθε εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν τοῦ δοῦναι δόξαν τῷ ὀνόματί μου λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς τὴν κατάραν καὶ ἐπικαταράσομαι τὴν εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν καὶ καταράσομαι αὐτήν καὶ διασκεδάσω τὴν εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν ὅτι ὑμεῖς οὐ τίθεσθε εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν(lxx) Mal 2:2 If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says the Lord of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:3 ============ Mal 2:3 Behold, I am going to rebuke your offspring, and I will spread refuse on your faces, the refuse of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.(nasb) Mal 2:3 Ecce ego projiciam vobis brachium, et dispergam super vultum vestrum stercus solemnitatum vestrarum, et assumet vos secum.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:3 He aquí, yo os dañaré vuestra sementera, y arrojaré sobre vuestros rostros el estiércol, el estiércol de vuestras fiestas solemnes, y con él seréis removidos.(E) Malachie 2:3 Voici, je détruirai vos semences, Et je vous jetterai des excréments au visage, Les excréments des victimes que vous sacrifiez, Et on vous emportera avec eux.(F) Mal 2:3 Siehe, ich will schelten euch samt der Saat und den Kot eurer Festopfer euch ins Angesicht werfen, und er soll an euch kleben bleiben.(D) Mal 2:3 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀφορίζω ὑμῖν τὸν ὦμον καὶ σκορπιῶ ἤνυστρον ἐπὶ τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν ἤνυστρον ἑορτῶν ὑμῶν καὶ λήμψομαι ὑμᾶς εἰς τὸ αὐτό(lxx) Mal 2:3 "Behold, I will rebuke your descendants And spread refuse on your faces, The refuse of your solemn feasts; And one will take you away with it.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:4 ============ Mal 2:4 Then you will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant may continue with Levi," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 2:4 Et scietis quia misi ad vos mandatum istud, ut esset pactum meum cum Levi, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:4 Y sabréis que yo os envié este mandamiento, para que fuese mi pacto con Leví, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Malachie 2:4 Vous saurez alors que je vous ai adressé cet ordre, Afin que mon alliance avec Lévi subsiste, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Mal 2:4 So werdet ihr dann erfahren, daß ich solches Gebot zu euch gesandt habe, daß es mein Bund sein sollte mit Levi, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Mal 2:4 καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ ἐξαπέσταλκα πρὸς ὑμᾶς τὴν ἐντολὴν ταύτην τοῦ εἶναι τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς τοὺς Λευίτας λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ(lxx) Mal 2:4 Then you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, That My covenant with Levi may continue," Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:5 ============ Mal 2:5 "My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he revered Me and stood in awe of My name.(nasb) Mal 2:5 Pactum meum fuit cum eo vitæ et pacis: et dedi ei timorem, et timuit me, et a facie nominis mei pavebat.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:5 Mi pacto fue con él de vida y de paz, y estas cosas yo le di [por su] temor; porque me temió, y delante de mi nombre estuvo humillado.(E) Malachie 2:5 Mon alliance avec lui était une alliance de vie et de paix, Ce que je lui accordai pour qu'il me craignît; Et il a eu pour moi de la crainte, Il a tremblé devant mon nom.(F) Mal 2:5 Denn mein Bund war mit ihm zum Leben und Frieden, und ich gab ihm die Furcht, daß er mich fürchtete und meinen Namen scheute.(D) Mal 2:5 ἡ διαθήκη μου ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ τῆς ζωῆς καὶ τῆς εἰρήνης καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῷ ἐν φόβῳ φοβεῖσθαί με καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου ὀνόματός μου στέλλεσθαι αὐτόν(lxx) Mal 2:5 "My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, And I gave them to him that he might fear Me; So he feared Me And was reverent before My name.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:6 ============ Mal 2:6 True instruction was in his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity.(nasb) Mal 2:6 Lex veritatis fuit in ore ejus, et iniquitas non est inventa in labiis ejus: in pace et in æquitate ambulavit mecum, et multos avertit ab iniquitate.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:6 La ley de verdad estuvo en su boca, e iniquidad no fue hallada en sus labios; en paz y en justicia anduvo conmigo, y a muchos hizo apartar de la iniquidad.(E) Malachie 2:6 La loi de la vérité était dans sa bouche, Et l'iniquité ne s'est point trouvée sur ses lèvres; Il a marché avec moi dans la paix et dans la droiture, Et il a détourné du mal beaucoup d'hommes.(F) Mal 2:6 Das Gesetz der Wahrheit war in seinem Munde, und ward kein Böses in seinen Lippen gefunden. Er wandelte vor mir friedsam und aufrichtig und bekehrte viele von Sünden.(D) Mal 2:6 νόμος ἀληθείας ἦν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδικία οὐχ εὑρέθη ἐν χείλεσιν αὐτοῦ ἐν εἰρήνῃ κατευθύνων ἐπορεύθη μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ πολλοὺς ἐπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ ἀδικίας(lxx) Mal 2:6 The law of truth was in his mouth, And injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, And turned many away from iniquity.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:7 ============ Mal 2:7 For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 2:7 Labia enim sacerdotis custodient scientiam, et legem requirent ex ore ejus, quia angelus Domini exercituum est.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:7 Porque los labios del sacerdote han de guardar la sabiduría, y de su boca buscarán la ley; porque él [es] el mensajero de Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Malachie 2:7 Car les lèvres du sacrificateur doivent garder la science, Et c'est à sa bouche qu'on demande la loi, Parce qu'il est un envoyé de l'Eternel des armées.(F) Mal 2:7 Denn des Priesters Lippen sollen die Lehre bewahren, daß man aus seinem Munde das Gesetz suche; denn er ist ein Engel des HERRN Zebaoth.(D) Mal 2:7 ὅτι χείλη ἱερέως φυλάξεται γνῶσιν καὶ νόμον ἐκζητήσουσιν ἐκ στόματος αὐτοῦ διότι ἄγγελος κυρίου παντοκράτορός ἐστιν(lxx) Mal 2:7 "For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:8 ============ Mal 2:8 But as for you, you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by the instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 2:8 Vos autem recessistis de via, et scandalizastis plurimos in lege: irritum fecistis pactum Levi, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:8 Mas vosotros os habéis apartado del camino; habéis hecho tropezar a muchos en la ley; habéis corrompido el pacto de Leví, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Malachie 2:8 Mais vous, vous vous êtes écartés de la voie, Vous avez fait de la loi une occasion de chute pour plusieurs, Vous avez violé l'alliance de Lévi, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Mal 2:8 Ihr aber seid von dem Wege abgetreten und ärgert viele im Gesetz und habt den Bund Levis gebrochen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Mal 2:8 ὑμεῖς δὲ ἐξεκλίνατε ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ καὶ πολλοὺς ἠσθενήσατε ἐν νόμῳ διεφθείρατε τὴν διαθήκην τοῦ Λευι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ(lxx) Mal 2:8 But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi," Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:9 ============ Mal 2:9 "So I also have made you despised and abased before all the people, just as you are not keeping My ways but are showing partiality in the instruction.(nasb) Mal 2:9 Propter quod et ego dedi vos contemptibiles, et humiles omnibus populis, sicut non servastis vias meas, et accepistis faciem in lege.~(vulgate) Malaquías 2:9 Por tanto, yo también os he hecho despreciables y bajos ante todo el pueblo, así como vosotros no habéis guardado mis caminos, y en la ley hacéis acepción de personas.(E) Malachie 2:9 Et moi, je vous rendrai méprisables et vils Aux yeux de tout le peuple, Parce que vous n'avez pas gardé mes voies, Et que vous avez égard à l'apparence des personnes Quand vous interprétez la loi.(F) Mal 2:9 Darum habe ich auch euch gemacht, daß ihr verachtet und unwert seid vor dem ganzen Volk, weil ihr meine Wege nicht haltet und seht Personen an im Gesetz.(D) Mal 2:9 κἀγὼ δέδωκα ὑμᾶς ἐξουδενωμένους καὶ παρειμένους εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ὑμεῖς οὐκ ἐφυλάξασθε τὰς ὁδούς μου ἀλλὰ ἐλαμβάνετε πρόσωπα ἐν νόμῳ(lxx) Mal 2:9 "Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base Before all the people, Because you have not kept My ways But have shown partiality in the law."(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:10 ============ Mal 2:10 "Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?(nasb) Mal 2:10 Numquid non pater unus omnium nostrum? numquid non Deus unus creavit nos? quare ergo despicit unusquisque nostrum fratrem suum, violans pactum patrum nostrorum?(vulgate) Malaquías 2:10 ¿No tenemos todos un mismo padre? ¿No nos ha creado un mismo Dios? ¿Por qué, pues, somos desleales cada uno contra su hermano, profanando el pacto de nuestros padres?(E) Malachie 2:10 N'avons-nous pas tous un seul père? N'est-ce pas un seul Dieu qui nous a créés? Pourquoi donc sommes-nous infidèles l'un envers l'autre, En profanant l'alliance de nos pères?(F) Mal 2:10 Haben nicht alle einen Vater? Hat uns nicht ein Gott geschaffen? Warum verachten wir denn einer den andern und entheilgen den Bund, mit unsern Vätern gemacht?(D) Mal 2:10 οὐχὶ θεὸς εἷς ἔκτισεν ὑμᾶς οὐχὶ πατὴρ εἷς πάντων ὑμῶν τί ὅτι ἐγκατελίπετε ἕκαστος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ τοῦ βεβηλῶσαι τὴν διαθήκην τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν(lxx) Mal 2:10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another By profaning the covenant of the fathers?(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:11 ============ Mal 2:11 Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the sanctuary of the Lord which He loves and has married the daughter of a foreign god.(nasb) Mal 2:11 Transgressus est Juda, et abominatio facta est in Israël et in Jerusalem, quia contaminavit Juda sanctificationem Domini, quam dilexit, et habuit filiam dei alieni.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:11 Prevaricó Judá, y en Israel y en Jerusalén se ha cometido abominación; porque Judá ha profanado la santidad de Jehová, que él amó, y se casó con la hija de un dios extraño.(E) Malachie 2:11 Juda s'est montré infidèle, Et une abomination a été commise en Israël et à Jérusalem; Car Juda a profané ce qui est consacré à l'Eternel, ce qu'aime l'Eternel, Il s'est uni à la fille d'un dieu étranger.(F) Mal 2:11 Denn Juda ist ein Verräter geworden, und in Israel und zu Jerusalem geschehen Greuel. Denn Juda entheiligt, was dem HERRN heilig ist und was er liebhat, und buhlt mit eines fremden Gottes Tochter.(D) Mal 2:11 ἐγκατελείφθη Ιουδας καὶ βδέλυγμα ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ διότι ἐβεβήλωσεν Ιουδας τὰ ἅγια κυρίου ἐν οἷς ἠγάπησεν καὶ ἐπετήδευσεν εἰς θεοὺς ἀλλοτρίους(lxx) Mal 2:11 Judah has dealt treacherously, And an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem, For Judah has profaned The Lord's holy institution which He loves: He has married the daughter of a foreign god.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:12 ============ Mal 2:12 As for the man who does this, may the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob everyone who awakes and answers, or who presents an offering to the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 2:12 Disperdet Dominus virum qui fecerit hoc, magistrum et discipulum, de tabernaculis Jacob, et offerentem munus Domino exercituum.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:12 Jehová cortará de las tiendas de Jacob al hombre que hiciere esto, al que vela, y al que responde, y al que ofrece ofrenda a Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Malachie 2:12 L'Eternel retranchera l'homme qui fait cela, celui qui veille et qui répond, Il le retranchera des tentes de Jacob, Et il retranchera celui qui présente une offrande A l'Eternel des armées.(F) Mal 2:12 Aber der HERR wird den, so solches tut, ausrotten aus der Hütte Jakobs, beide, Meister und Schüler, samt dem, der dem HERRN Zebaoth Speisopfer bringt.(D) Mal 2:12 ἐξολεθρεύσει κύριος τὸν ἄνθρωπον τὸν ποιοῦντα ταῦτα ἕως καὶ ταπεινωθῇ ἐκ σκηνωμάτων Ιακωβ καὶ ἐκ προσαγόντων θυσίαν τῷ κυρίῳ παντοκράτορι(lxx) Mal 2:12 May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob The man who does this, being awake and aware, Yet who brings an offering to the Lord of hosts!(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:13 ============ Mal 2:13 "This is another thing you do: you cover the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping and with groaning, because He no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.(nasb) Mal 2:13 Et hoc rursum fecistis: operiebatis lacrimis altare Domini, fletu et mugitu, ita ut non respiciam ultra ad sacrificium, nec accipiam placabile quid de manu vestra.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:13 Y esta otra vez haréis cubrir el altar de Jehová de lágrimas, de llanto, y de clamor; así que no miraré más a la ofrenda, para aceptarla con gusto de vuestra mano.(E) Malachie 2:13 Voici encore ce que vous faites: Vous couvrez de larmes l'autel de l'Eternel, De pleurs et de gémissements, En sorte qu'il n'a plus égard aux offrandes Et qu'il ne peut rien agréer de vos mains.(F) Mal 2:13 Weiter tut ihr auch das: ihr bedeckt den Altar des HERRN mit Tränen und Weinen und Seufzen, daß ich nicht mehr mag das Speisopfer ansehen noch etwas Angenehmes von euren Händen empfangen.(D) Mal 2:13 καὶ ταῦτα ἃ ἐμίσουν ἐποιεῖτε ἐκαλύπτετε δάκρυσιν τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου καὶ κλαυθμῷ καὶ στεναγμῷ ἐκ κόπων ἔτι ἄξιον ἐπιβλέψαι εἰς θυσίαν ἢ λαβεῖν δεκτὸν ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν(lxx) Mal 2:13 And this is the second thing you do: You cover the altar of the Lord with tears, With weeping and crying; So He does not regard the offering anymore, Nor receive it with goodwill from your hands.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:14 ============ Mal 2:14 Yet you say, 'For what reason?' Because the Lord has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.(nasb) Mal 2:14 Et dixistis: Quam ob causam? Quia Dominus testificatus est inter te et uxorem pubertatis tuæ, quam tu despexisti: et hæc particeps tua, et uxor fœderis tui.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:14 Mas diréis: ¿Por qué? Porque Jehová ha sido testigo entre ti y la esposa de tu juventud, contra la cual tú has sido desleal, aun [siendo] ella tu compañera y la esposa de tu pacto.(E) Malachie 2:14 Et vous dites: Pourquoi?... Parce que l'Eternel a été témoin entre toi et la femme de ta jeunesse, A laquelle tu es infidèle, Bien qu'elle soit ta compagne et la femme de ton alliance.(F) Mal 2:14 Und so sprecht ihr: "Warum das?" Darum daß der HERR zwischen dir und dem Weibe deiner Jugend Zeuge war, die du verachtest, so sie doch deine Gesellin und ein Weib deines Bundes ist.(D) Mal 2:14 καὶ εἴπατε ἕνεκεν τίνος ὅτι κύριος διεμαρτύρατο ἀνὰ μέσον σοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον γυναικὸς νεότητός σου ἣν ἐγκατέλιπες καὶ αὐτὴ κοινωνός σου καὶ γυνὴ διαθήκης σου(lxx) Mal 2:14 Yet you say, "For what reason?" Because the Lord has been witness Between you and the wife of your youth, With whom you have dealt treacherously; Yet she is your companion And your wife by covenant.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:15 ============ Mal 2:15 But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And what did that one do while he was seeking a godly offspring? Take heed then to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.(nasb) Mal 2:15 Nonne unus fecit, et residuum spiritus ejus est? et quid unus quærit, nisi semen Dei? custodite ergo spiritum vestrum, et uxorem adolescentiæ tuæ noli despicere.(vulgate) Malaquías 2:15 ¿No hizo Él uno, aunque tenía el remanente del espíritu? ¿Y por qué uno? Para que procurara una simiente de Dios. Guardaos, pues, en vuestro espíritu, y no seáis desleales contra la esposa de vuestra juventud.(E) Malachie 2:15 Nul n'a fait cela, avec un reste de bon sens. Un seul l'a fait, et pourquoi? Parce qu'il cherchait la postérité que Dieu lui avait promise. Prenez donc garde en votre esprit, Et qu'aucun ne soit infidèle à la femme de sa jeunesse!(F) Mal 2:15 Also tat der Eine nicht, und war doch großen Geistes. Was tat aber der Eine? Er suchte den Samen, von Gott verheißen. Darum so sehet euch vor vor eurem Geist und verachte keiner das Weib seiner Jugend.(D) Mal 2:15 καὶ οὐκ ἄλλος ἐποίησεν καὶ ὑπόλειμμα πνεύματος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἴπατε τί ἄλλο ἀλλ᾽ ἢ σπέρμα ζητεῖ ὁ θεός καὶ φυλάξασθε ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ὑμῶν καὶ γυναῖκα νεότητός σου μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς(lxx) Mal 2:15 But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 2:16 ============ Mal 2:16 For I hate divorce," says the Lord, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with wrong," says the Lord of hosts. "So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."(nasb) Mal 2:16 Cum odio habueris, dimitte, dicit Dominus Deus Israël: operiet autem iniquitas vestimentum ejus, dicit Dominus exercituum. Custodite spiritum vestrum, et nolite despicere.~(vulgate) Malaquías 2:16 Porque Jehová Dios de Israel dice que Él aborrece el divorcio; y al que cubre la violencia con su vestidura, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Guardaos, pues, en vuestro espíritu, y no seáis desleales.(E) Malachie 2:16 Car je hais la répudiation, Dit l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, Et celui qui couvre de violence son vêtement, Dit l'Eternel des armées. Prenez donc garde en votre esprit, Et ne soyez pas infidèles!(F) Mal 2:16 Wer ihr aber gram ist und verstößt sie, spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels, der bedeckt mit Frevel sein Kleid, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
