Today's Date: ======= Exodus 2:1 ============ Exo 2:1 Now a man from the house of Levi went and married a daughter of Levi.(nas) Exo 2:1 ἦν δέ τις ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Λευι ὃς ἔλαβεν τῶν θυγατέρων Λευι καὶ ἔσχεν αὐτήν (lxx) Exo 2:1 Egressus est post hæc vir de domo Levi: et accepit uxorem stirpis suæ.(vulgate) 1 ׃2 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ אִ֖ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית לֵוִ֑י וַיִּקַּ֖ח אֶת־בַּת־לֵוִֽי׃ Exodus Exo 2:1 Und es ging ein Mann vom Hause Levi und nahm eine Tochter Levi.(dhs) Exo 2:1 And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:2 ============ Exo 2:2 The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw that he was beautiful, she hid him for three months.(nas) Exo 2:2 καὶ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔλαβεν καὶ ἔτεκεν ἄρσεν ἰδόντες δὲ αὐτὸ ἀστεῖον ἐσκέπασαν αὐτὸ μῆνας τρεῖς (lxx) Exo 2:2 Quæ concepit, et peperit filium: et videns eum elegantem, abscondit tribus mensibus.(vulgate) 2 ׃2 וַתַּ֥הַר הָאִשָּׁ֖ה וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֑ן וַתֵּ֤רֶא אֹתוֹ֙ כִּי־ט֣וֹב ה֔וּא וַֽתִּצְפְּנֵ֖הוּ שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה יְרָחִֽים׃ Exodus Exo 2:2 Und das Weib ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn. Und da sie sah, daß es ein feines Kind war, verbarg sie ihn drei Monate.(dhs) Exo 2:2 So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:3 ============ Exo 2:3 But when she could hide him no longer, she got him a wicker basket and covered it over with tar and pitch. Then she put the child into it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile.(nas) Exo 2:3 ἐπεὶ δὲ οὐκ ἠδύναντο αὐτὸ ἔτι κρύπτειν ἔλαβεν αὐτῷ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ θῖβιν καὶ κατέχρισεν αὐτὴν ἀσφαλτοπίσσῃ καὶ ἐνέβαλεν τὸ παιδίον εἰς αὐτὴν καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὸ ἕλος παρὰ τὸν ποταμόν (lxx) Exo 2:3 Cumque jam celare non posset, sumpsit fiscellam scirpeam, et linivit eam bitumine ac pice: posuitque intus infantulum, et exposuit eum in carecto ripæ fluminis,(vulgate) 3 ׃2 וְלֹא־יָכְלָ֣ה עוֹד֮ הַצְּפִינוֹ֒ וַתִּֽקַּֽח־לוֹ֙ תֵּ֣בַת גֹּ֔מֶא וַתַּחְמְרָ֥ה בַחֵמָ֖ר וּבַזָּ֑פֶת וַתָּ֤שֶׂם בָּהּ֙ אֶת־הַיֶּ֔לֶד וַתָּ֥שֶׂם בַּסּ֖וּף עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר׃ Exodus Exo 2:3 Und da sie ihn nicht länger verbergen konnte, machte sie ein Kästlein von Rohr und verklebte es mit Erdharz und Pech und legte das Kind darein und legte ihn in das Schilf am Ufer des Wassers.(dhs) Exo 2:3 But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:4 ============ Exo 2:4 His sister stood at a distance to find out what would happen to him.(nas) Exo 2:4 καὶ κατεσκόπευεν ἡ ἀδελφὴ αὐτοῦ μακρόθεν μαθεῖν τί τὸ ἀποβησόμενον αὐτῷ (lxx) Exo 2:4 stante procul sorore ejus, et considerante eventum rei.(vulgate) 4 ׃2 וַתֵּתַצַּ֥ב אֲחֹת֖וֹ מֵרָחֹ֑ק לְדֵעָ֕ה מַה־יֵּעָשֶׂ֖ה לֽוֹ׃ Exodus Exo 2:4 Aber seine Schwester stand von ferne, daß sie erfahren wollte, wie es ihm gehen würde.(dhs) Exo 2:4 And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:5 ============ Exo 2:5 The daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the Nile, with her maidens walking alongside the Nile; and she saw the basket among the reeds and sent her maid, and she brought it to her.(nas) Exo 2:5 κατέβη δὲ ἡ θυγάτηρ Φαραω λούσασθαι ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμόν καὶ αἱ ἅβραι αὐτῆς παρεπορεύοντο παρὰ τὸν ποταμόν καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὴν θῖβιν ἐν τῷ ἕλει ἀποστείλασα τὴν ἅβραν ἀνείλατο αὐτήν (lxx) Exo 2:5 Ecce autem descendebat filia Pharaonis ut lavaretur in flumine: et puellæ ejus gradiebantur per crepidinem alvei. Quæ cum vidisset fiscellam in papyrione, misit unam e famulabus suis: et allatam(vulgate) 5 ׃2 וַתֵּ֤רֶד בַּת־פַּרְעֹה֙ לִרְחֹ֣ץ עַל־הַיְאֹ֔ר וְנַעֲרֹתֶ֥יהָ הֹלְכֹ֖ת עַל־יַ֣ד הַיְאֹ֑ר וַתֵּ֤רֶא אֶת־הַתֵּבָה֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ הַסּ֔וּף וַתִּשְׁלַ֥ח אֶת־אֲמָתָ֖הּ וַתִּקָּחֶֽהָ Exodus Exo 2:5 Und die Tochter Pharaos ging hernieder und wollte baden im Wasser; und ihre Jungfrauen gingen an dem Rande des Wassers. Und da sie das Kästlein im Schilf sah, sandte sie ihre Magd hin und ließ es holen.(dhs) Exo 2:5 Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And she had pity on him and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."(nas) Exo 2:6 ἀνοίξασα δὲ ὁρᾷ παιδίον κλαῖον ἐν τῇ θίβει καὶ ἐφείσατο αὐτοῦ ἡ θυγάτηρ Φαραω καὶ ἔφη ἀπὸ τῶν παιδίων τῶν Εβραίων τοῦτο (lxx) Exo 2:6 aperiens, cernensque in ea parvulum vagientem, miserta ejus, ait: De infantibus Hebræorum est hic.(vulgate) 6 ׃2 וַתִּפְתַּח֙ וַתִּרְאֵ֣הוּ אֶת־הַיֶּ֔לֶד וְהִנֵּה־נַ֖עַר בֹּכֶ֑ה וַתַּחְמֹ֣ל עָלָ֔יו וַתֹּ֕אמֶר מִיַּלְדֵ֥י הָֽעִבְרִ֖ים זֶֽה׃ Exodus Exo 2:6 Und da sie es auftat, sah sie das Kind; und siehe, das Knäblein weinte. Da jammerte es sie, und sprach: Es ist der hebräischen Kindlein eins.(dhs) Exo 2:6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:7 ============ Exo 2:7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women that she may nurse the child for you?"(nas) Exo 2:7 καὶ εἶπεν ἡ ἀδελφὴ αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ Φαραω θέλεις καλέσω σοι γυναῖκα τροφεύουσαν ἐκ τῶν Εβραίων καὶ θηλάσει σοι τὸ παιδίον (lxx) Exo 2:7 Cui soror pueri: Vis, inquit, ut vadam, et vocem tibi mulierem hebræam, quæ nutrire possit infantulum?(vulgate) 7 ׃2 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אֲחֹתוֹ֮ אֶל־בַּת־פַּרְעֹה֒ הַאֵלֵ֗ךְ וְקָרָ֤אתִי לָךְ֙ אִשָּׁ֣ה מֵינֶ֔קֶת מִ֖ן הָעִבְרִיֹּ֑ת וְתֵינִ֥ק לָ֖ךְ אֶת־הַיָּֽלֶד׃ Exodus Exo 2:7 Da sprach seine Schwester zu der Tochter Pharaos: Soll ich hingehen und der hebräischen Weiber eine rufen, die da säugt, daß sie dir das Kindlein säuge?(dhs) Exo 2:7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?"(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:8 ============ Exo 2:8 Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go ahead." So the girl went and called the child's mother.(nas) Exo 2:8 ἡ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ἡ θυγάτηρ Φαραω πορεύου ἐλθοῦσα δὲ ἡ νεᾶνις ἐκάλεσεν τὴν μητέρα τοῦ παιδίου (lxx) Exo 2:8 Respondit: Vade. Perrexit puella et vocavit matrem suam.(vulgate) 8 ׃2 וַתֹּֽאמֶר־לָ֥הּ בַּת־פַּרְעֹ֖ה לֵ֑כִי וַתֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ הָֽעַלְמָ֔ה וַתִּקְרָ֖א אֶת־אֵ֥ם הַיָּֽלֶד׃ Exodus Exo 2:8 Die Tochter Pharaos sprach zu ihr: Gehe hin. Die Jungfrau ging hin und rief des Kindes Mutter.(dhs) Exo 2:8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go." So the maiden went and called the child's mother.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:9 ============ Exo 2:9 Then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child away and nurse him for me and I will give you your wages." So the woman took the child and nursed him.(nas) Exo 2:9 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὴν ἡ θυγάτηρ Φαραω διατήρησόν μοι τὸ παιδίον τοῦτο καὶ θήλασόν μοι αὐτό ἐγὼ δὲ δώσω σοι τὸν μισθόν ἔλαβεν δὲ ἡ γυνὴ τὸ παιδίον καὶ ἐθήλαζεν αὐτό (lxx) Exo 2:9 Ad quam locuta filia Pharaonis: Accipe, ait, puerum istum, et nutri mihi: ego dabo tibi mercedem tuam. Suscepit mulier, et nutrivit puerum: adultumque tradidit filiæ Pharaonis.(vulgate) 9 ׃2 וַתֹּ֧אמֶר לָ֣הּ בַּת־פַּרְעֹ֗ה הֵילִ֜יכִי אֶת־הַיֶּ֤לֶד הַזֶּה֙ וְהֵינִקִ֣הוּ לִ֔י וַאֲנִ֖י אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶת־שְׂכָרֵ֑ךְ וַתִּקַּ֧ח הָאִשָּׁ֛ה הַיֶּ֖לֶד וַתְּנִיקֵֽהוּ׃ Exodus Exo 2:9 Da sprach Pharaos Tochter zu ihr: Nimm hin das Kindlein und säuge mir's; ich will dir lohnen. Das Weib nahm das Kind und säugte es.(dhs) Exo 2:9 Then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages." So the woman took the child and nursed him.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:10 ============ Exo 2:10 The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said, "Because I drew him out of the water."(nas) Exo 2:10 ἁδρυνθέντος δὲ τοῦ παιδίου εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὸ πρὸς τὴν θυγατέρα Φαραω καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτῇ εἰς υἱόν ἐπωνόμασεν δὲ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Μωυσῆν λέγουσα ἐκ τοῦ ὕδατος αὐτὸν ἀνειλόμην (lxx) Exo 2:10 Quem illa adoptavit in locum filii, vocavitque nomen ejus Moyses, dicens: Quia de aqua tuli eum.~(vulgate) 10 ׃2 וַיִגְדַּ֣ל הַיֶּ֗לֶד וַתְּבִאֵ֙הוּ֙ לְבַת־פַּרְעֹ֔ה וֽ͏ַיְהִי־לָ֖הּ לְבֵ֑ן וַתִּקְרָ֤א שְׁמוֹ֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַתֹּ֕אמֶר כִּ֥י מִן־הַמַּ֖יִם מְשִׁיתִֽהוּ׃ Exodus Exo 2:10 Und da das Kind groß war, brachte sie es der Tochter Pharaos, und es ward ihr Sohn, und sie hieß ihn Mose; denn sie sprach: Ich habe ihn aus dem Wasser gezogen.(dhs) Exo 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, "Because I drew him out of the water."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:11 ============ Exo 2:11 Now it came about in those days, when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brethren and looked on their hard labors; and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.(nas) Exo 2:11 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταῖς πολλαῖς ἐκείναις μέγας γενόμενος Μωυσῆς ἐξήλθεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ κατανοήσας δὲ τὸν πόνον αὐτῶν ὁρᾷ ἄνθρωπον Αἰγύπτιον τύπτοντά τινα Εβραῖον τῶν ἑαυτοῦ ἀδελφῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ (lxx) Exo 2:11 In diebus illis postquam creverat Moyses, egressus est ad fratres suos: viditque afflictionem eorum, et virum ægyptium percutientem quemdam de Hebræis fratribus suis.(vulgate) 11 ׃2 וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֗ם וַיִּגְדַּ֤ל מֹשֶׁה֙ וַיֵּצֵ֣א אֶל־אֶחָ֔יו וַיַּ֖רְא בְּסִבְלֹתָ֑ם וַיַּרְא֙ אִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י מַכֶּ֥ה אִישׁ־עִבְרִ֖י מֵאֶחָֽיו׃ Exodus Exo 2:11 Zu den Zeiten, da Mose war groß geworden, ging er aus zu seinen Brüdern und sah ihre Last und ward gewahr, daß ein Ägypter schlug seiner Brüder, der Hebräischen, einen.(dhs) Exo 2:11 Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:12 ============ Exo 2:12 So he looked this way and that, and when he saw there was no one around, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.(nas) Exo 2:12 περιβλεψάμενος δὲ ὧδε καὶ ὧδε οὐχ ὁρᾷ οὐδένα καὶ πατάξας τὸν Αἰγύπτιον ἔκρυψεν αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ ἄμμῳ (lxx) Exo 2:12 Cumque circumspexisset huc atque illuc, et nullum adesse vidisset, percussum Ægyptium abscondit sabulo.(vulgate) 12 ׃2 וַיִּ֤פֶן כֹּה֙ וָכֹ֔ה וַיַּ֖רְא כִּ֣י אֵ֣ין אִ֑ישׁ וַיַּךְ֙ אֶת־הַמִּצְרִ֔י וַֽיִּטְמְנֵ֖הוּ בַּחֽוֹל׃ Exodus Exo 2:12 Und er wandte sich hin und her, und da er sah, daß kein Mensch da war, erschlug er den Ägypter und scharrte ihn in den Sand.(dhs) Exo 2:12 So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:13 ============ Exo 2:13 He went out the next day, and behold, two Hebrews were fighting with each other; and he said to the offender, "Why are you striking your companion?"(nas) Exo 2:13 ἐξελθὼν δὲ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ δευτέρᾳ ὁρᾷ δύο ἄνδρας Εβραίους διαπληκτιζομένους καὶ λέγει τῷ ἀδικοῦντι διὰ τί σὺ τύπτεις τὸν πλησίον (lxx) Exo 2:13 Et egressus die altero conspexit duos Hebræos rixantes: dixitque ei qui faciebat injuriam: Quare percutis proximum tuum?(vulgate) 13 ׃2 וַיֵּצֵא֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשֵּׁנִ֔י וְהִנֵּ֛ה שְׁנֵֽי־אֲנָשִׁ֥ים עִבְרִ֖ים נִצִּ֑ים וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לָֽרָשָׁ֔ע לָ֥מָּה תַכֶּ֖ה רֵעֶֽךָ׃ Exodus Exo 2:13 Auf einen andern Tag ging er auch aus und sah zwei hebräische Männer sich miteinander zanken und sprach zu dem Ungerechten: Warum schlägst du deinen Nächsten?(dhs) Exo 2:13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, "Why are you striking your companion?"(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:14 ============ Exo 2:14 But he said, "Who made you a prince or a judge over us? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said, "Surely the matter has become known."(nas) Exo 2:14 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τίς σε κατέστησεν ἄρχοντα καὶ δικαστὴν ἐφ᾽ ἡμῶν μὴ ἀνελεῖν με σὺ θέλεις ὃν τρόπον ἀνεῖλες ἐχθὲς τὸν Αἰγύπτιον ἐφοβήθη δὲ Μωυσῆς καὶ εἶπεν εἰ οὕτως ἐμφανὲς γέγονεν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο (lxx) Exo 2:14 Qui respondit: Quis te constituit principem et judicem super nos? num occidere me tu vis, sicut heri occidisti Ægyptium? Timuit Moyses, et ait: Quomodo palam factum est verbum istud?~(vulgate) 14 ׃2 וַ֠יֹּאמֶר מִ֣י שָֽׂמְךָ֞ לְאִ֨ישׁ שַׂ֤ר וְשֹׁפֵט֙ עָלֵ֔ינוּ הַלְהָרְגֵ֙נִי֙ אַתָּ֣ה אֹמֵ֔ר כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָרַ֖גְתָּ אֶת־הַמִּצְרִ֑י וַיִּירָ֤א מֹשֶׁה֙ וַיֹּאמַ֔ר אָכֵ֖ן נוֹדַ֥ע הַדָּבָֽר׃ Exodus Exo 2:14 Er aber sprach: Wer hat dich zum Obersten oder Richter über uns gesetzt? Willst du mich auch erwürgen, wie du den Ägypter erwürgt hast? Da fürchtete sich Mose und sprach: Wie ist das laut geworden?(dhs) Exo 2:14 Then he said, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" So Moses feared and said, "Surely this thing is known!"(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:15 ============ Exo 2:15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the presence of Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.(nas) Exo 2:15 ἤκουσεν δὲ Φαραω τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ ἐζήτει ἀνελεῖν Μωυσῆν ἀνεχώρησεν δὲ Μωυσῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου Φαραω καὶ ᾤκησεν ἐν γῇ Μαδιαμ ἐλθὼν δὲ εἰς γῆν Μαδιαμ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ τοῦ φρέατος (lxx) Exo 2:15 Audivitque Pharao sermonem hunc, et quærebat occidere Moysen: qui fugiens de conspectu ejus, moratus est in terra Madian, et sedit juxta puteum.(vulgate) 15 ׃2 וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וַיְבַקֵּ֖שׁ לַהֲרֹ֣ג אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיִּבְרַ֤ח מֹשֶׁה֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב בְּאֶֽרֶץ־מִדְיָ֖ן וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב עַֽל־הַבְּאֵֽר׃ Exodus Exo 2:15 Und es kam vor Pharao; der trachtete nach Mose, daß er ihn erwürgte. Aber Mose floh vor Pharao und blieb im Lande Midian und wohnte bei einem Brunnen.(dhs) Exo 2:15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:16 ============ Exo 2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and they came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.(nas) Exo 2:16 τῷ δὲ ἱερεῖ Μαδιαμ ἦσαν ἑπτὰ θυγατέρες ποιμαίνουσαι τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν Ιοθορ παραγενόμεναι δὲ ἤντλουν ἕως ἔπλησαν τὰς δεξαμενὰς ποτίσαι τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν Ιοθορ (lxx) Exo 2:16 Erant autem sacerdoti Madian septem filiæ, quæ venerunt ad hauriendam aquam: et impletis canalibus adaquare cupiebant greges patris sui.(vulgate) 16 ׃2 וּלְכֹהֵ֥ן מִדְיָ֖ן שֶׁ֣בַע בָּנ֑וֹת וַתָּבֹ֣אנָה וַתִּדְלֶ֗נָה וַתְּמַלֶּ֙אנָה֙ אֶת־הָ֣רְהָטִ֔ים לְהַשְׁק֖וֹת צֹ֥אן אֲבִיהֶֽן׃ Exodus Exo 2:16 Der Priester aber von Midian hatte sieben Töchter; die kamen, Wasser zu schöpfen, und füllten die Rinnen, daß sie ihres Vaters Schafe tränkten.(dhs) Exo 2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. Warum habt ihr den Mann gelassen, daß ihr ihn nicht ludet, mit uns zu essen?(dhs) Exo 2:20 So he said to his daughters, "And where is he? Why is it that you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:21 ============ Exo 2:21 Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses.(nas) Exo 2:21 κατῳκίσθη δὲ Μωυσῆς παρὰ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ καὶ ἐξέδοτο Σεπφωραν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ Μωυσῇ γυναῖκα (lxx) Exo 2:21 Juravit ergo Moyses quod habitaret cum eo. Accepitque Sephoram filiam ejus uxorem:(vulgate) 21 ׃2 וַיּ֥וֹאֶל מֹשֶׁ֖ה לָשֶׁ֣בֶת אֶת־הָאִ֑ישׁ וַיִּתֵּ֛ן אֶת־צִפֹּרָ֥ה בִתּ֖וֹ לְמֹשֶֽׁה׃ Exodus Exo 2:21 Und Mose willigte darein, bei dem Manne zu bleiben. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.(nas) Exo 2:23 μετὰ δὲ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς πολλὰς ἐκείνας ἐτελεύτησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ κατεστέναξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων καὶ ἀνεβόησαν καὶ ἀνέβη ἡ βοὴ αὐτῶν πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων (lxx) Exo 2:23 Post multum vero tempore mortuus est rex Ægypti: et ingemiscentes filii Israël, propter opera vociferati sunt: ascenditque clamor eorum ad Deum ab operibus.(vulgate) 23 ׃2 וַיְהִי֩ בַיָּמִ֨ים הֽ͏ָרַבִּ֜ים הָהֵ֗ם וַיָּ֙מָת֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיֵּאָנְח֧וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל מִן־הָעֲבֹדָ֖ה וַיִּזְעָ֑קוּ וַתַּ֧עַל שַׁוְעָתָ֛ם אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים מִן־הָעֲבֹדָֽה׃ Exodus Exo 2:23 Lange Zeit aber darnach starb der König in Ägypten. Und die Kinder Israel seufzten über ihre Arbeit und schrieen, und ihr Schreien über ihre Arbeit kam vor Gott.(dhs) Exo 2:23 Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:24 ============ Exo 2:24 So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.(nas) Exo 2:24 καὶ εἰσήκουσεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν στεναγμὸν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμνήσθη ὁ θεὸς τῆς διαθήκης αὐτοῦ τῆς πρὸς Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ (lxx) Exo 2:24 Et audivit gemitum eorum, ac recordatus est fœderis quod pepigit cum Abraham, Isaac et Jacob.(vulgate) 24 ׃2 וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־נַאֲקָתָ֑ם וַיִּזְכֹּ֤ר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת־בְּרִית֔וֹ אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֶת־יִצְחָ֥ק וְאֶֽת־יַעֲקֹֽב׃ Exodus Exo 2:24 Und Gott erhörte ihr Wehklagen und gedachte an seinen Bund mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob;(dhs) Exo 2:24 So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 2:25 ============ Exo 2:25 God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.(nas) Exo 2:25 καὶ ἐπεῖδεν ὁ θεὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγνώσθη αὐτοῖς (lxx) Exo 2:25 Et respexit Dominus filios Israël et cognovit eos.(vulgate) 25 ׃2 וַיַּ֥רְא אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֵּ֖דַע אֱלֹהִֽים׃ ס Exodus Exo 2:25 und er sah darein und nahm sich ihrer an.(dhs) Exo 2:25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:1 ============ top of the page
