Today's Date: ======= Numbers 16:1 ============ Num 16:1 Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took action,(nas) Num 16:1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κορε υἱὸς Ισσααρ υἱοῦ Κααθ υἱοῦ Λευι καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὶ Ελιαβ καὶ Αυν υἱὸς Φαλεθ υἱοῦ Ρουβην (lxx) Num 16:1 Ecce autem Core filius Isaar, filii Caath, filii Levi, et Dathan atque Abiron filii Eliab, Hon quoque filius Pheleth de filiis Ruben,(vulgate) 1 ׃16 וַיִּקַּ֣ח קֹ֔רַח בֶּן־יִצְהָ֥ר בֶּן־קְהָ֖ת בֶּן־לֵוִ֑י וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם בְּנֵ֧י אֱלִיאָ֛ב וְא֥וֹן בֶּן־פֶּ֖לֶת בְּנֵ֥י רְאוּבֵֽן׃ Numbers Num 16:1 Und Korah, der Sohn Jizhars, des Sohnes Kahaths, des Sohnes Levis, samt Dathan und Abiram, den Söhnen Eliabs, und On, dem Sohn Peleths, den Söhnen Rubens,(dhs) Num 16:1 Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:2 ============ Num 16:2 and they rose up before Moses, together with some of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, chosen in the assembly, men of renown.(nas) Num 16:2 καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἄνδρες τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι ἀρχηγοὶ συναγωγῆς σύγκλητοι βουλῆς καὶ ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί (lxx) Num 16:2 surrexerunt contra Moysen, aliique filiorum Israël ducenti quinquaginta viri proceres synagogæ, et qui tempore concilii per nomina vocabantur.(vulgate) 2 ׃16 וַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים מִבְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם נְשִׂיאֵ֥י עֵדָ֛ה קְרִאֵ֥י מוֹעֵ֖ד אַנְשֵׁי־שֵֽׁם׃ Numbers Num 16:2 die empörten sich wider Mose samt etlichen Männern unter den Kindern Israel, zweihundertundfünfzig, Vornehmste in der Gemeinde, Ratsherren und namhafte Leute.(dhs) Num 16:2 and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:3 ============ Num 16:3 They assembled together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is in their midst; so why do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?"(nas) Num 16:3 συνέστησαν ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων καὶ εἶπαν ἐχέτω ὑμῖν ὅτι πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ πάντες ἅγιοι καὶ ἐν αὐτοῖς κύριος καὶ διὰ τί κατανίστασθε ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν κυρίου (lxx) Num 16:3 Cumque stetissent adversum Moysen et Aaron, dixerunt: Sufficiat vobis, quia omnis multitudo sanctorum est, et in ipsis est Dominus: cur elevamini super populum Domini?(vulgate) 3 ׃16 וַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ עַל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֲלֵהֶם֮ רַב־לָכֶם֒ כִּ֤י כָל־הָֽעֵדָה֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם קְדֹשִׁ֔ים וּבְתוֹכָ֖ם יְהוָ֑ה וּמַדּ֥וּעַ תִּֽתְנַשְּׂא֖וּ עַל־קְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:3 Und sie versammelten sich wider Mose und Aaron und sprachen zu ihnen: Ihr macht's zu viel. Denn die ganze Gemeinde ist überall heilig, und der HERR ist unter ihnen; warum erhebt ihr euch über die Gemeinde des HERRN?(dhs) Num 16:3 They gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?"(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:4 ============ Num 16:4 When Moses heard this, he fell on his face;(nas) Num 16:4 καὶ ἀκούσας Μωυσῆς ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον (lxx) Num 16:4 Quod cum audisset Moyses, cecidit pronus in faciem:(vulgate) 4 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיִּפֹּ֖ל עַל־פָּנָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:4 Da das Mose hörte, fiel er auf sein Angesicht(dhs) Num 16:4 So when Moses heard it, he fell on his face;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:5 ============ Num 16:5 and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, "Tomorrow morning the Lord will show who is His, and who is holy, and will bring him near to Himself; even the one whom He will choose, He will bring near to Himself.(nas) Num 16:5 καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς Κορε καὶ πρὸς πᾶσαν αὐτοῦ τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἐπέσκεπται καὶ ἔγνω ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ὄντας αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἁγίους καὶ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν καὶ οὓς ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτῷ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν (lxx) Num 16:5 locutusque ad Core et ad omnem multitudinem: Mane, inquit, notum faciet Dominus qui ad se pertineant, et sanctos applicabit sibi: et quos elegerit, appropinquabunt ei.(vulgate) 5 ׃16 וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־קֹ֜רַח וְאֶֽל־כָּל־עֲדָתוֹ֮ לֵאמֹר֒ בֹּ֠קֶר וְיֹדַ֨ע יְהוָ֧ה אֶת־אֲשֶׁר־ל֛וֹ וְאֶת־הַקָּד֖וֹשׁ וְהִקְרִ֣יב אֵלָ֑יו וְאֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַר־בּ֖וֹ יַקְרִ֥יב אֵלָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:5 und sprach zu Korah und zu seiner ganzen Rotte: Morgen wird der HERR kundtun, wer sein sei, wer heilig sei und zu ihm nahen soll; welchen er erwählt, der soll zu ihm nahen.(dhs) Num 16:5 and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, "Tomorrow morning the Lord will show who is His and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to Him. That one whom He chooses He will cause to come near to Him.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:6 ============ Num 16:6 Do this: take censers for yourselves, Korah and all your company,(nas) Num 16:6 τοῦτο ποιήσατε λάβετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς πυρεῖα Κορε καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 16:6 Hoc igitur facite: tollat unusquisque thuribula sua, tu Core, et omne concilium tuum:(vulgate) 6 ׃16 זֹ֖את עֲשׂ֑וּ קְחוּ־לָכֶ֣ם מַחְתּ֔וֹת קֹ֖רַח וְכָל־עֲדָתֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 16:6 Das tut: nehmet euch Pfannen, Korah und seine ganze Rotte,(dhs) Num 16:6 Do this: Take censers, Korah and all your company;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:7 ============ Num 16:7 and put fire in them, and lay incense upon them in the presence of the Lord tomorrow; and the man whom the Lord chooses shall be the one who is holy. You have gone far enough, you sons of Levi!"(nas) Num 16:7 καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ᾽ αὐτὰ πῦρ καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ᾽ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου αὔριον καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος οὗτος ἅγιος ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν υἱοὶ Λευι (lxx) Num 16:7 et hausto cras igne, ponite desuper thymiama coram Domino: et quemcumque elegerit, ipse erit sanctus: multum erigimini filii Levi.(vulgate) 7 ׃16 וּתְנ֣וּ בָהֵ֣ן ׀ אֵ֡שׁ וְשִׂימוּ֩ עֲלֵיהֶ֨ן ׀ קְטֹ֜רֶת לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ מָחָ֔ר וְהָיָ֗ה הָאִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה ה֣וּא הַקָּד֑וֹשׁ רַב־לָכֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י לֵוִֽי׃ Numbers Num 16:7 und legt Feuer darein und tut Räuchwerk darauf vor dem HERRN morgen. Welchen der HERR erwählt, der sei heilig. Ihr macht es zu viel, ihr Kinder Levi.(dhs) Num 16:7 put fire in them and put incense in them before the Lord tomorrow, and it shall be that the man whom the Lord chooses is the holy one. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi!"(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:8 ============ Num 16:8 Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi,(nas) Num 16:8 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κορε εἰσακούσατέ μου υἱοὶ Λευι (lxx) Num 16:8 Dixitque rursum ad Core: Audite, filii Levi:(vulgate) 8 ׃16 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־קֹ֑רַח שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י לֵוִֽי׃ Numbers Num 16:8 Und Mose sprach zu Korah: Höret doch, ihr Kinder Levi!(dhs) Num 16:8 Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi:(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:9 ============ Num 16:9 is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;(nas) Num 16:9 μὴ μικρόν ἐστιν τοῦτο ὑμῖν ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμᾶς ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ισραηλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τῆς συναγωγῆς λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Num 16:9 num parum vobis est quod separavit vos Deus Israël ab omni populo, et junxit sibi, ut serviretis ei in cultu tabernaculi, et staretis coram frequentia populi, et ministraretis ei?(vulgate) 9 ׃16 הַמְעַ֣ט מִכֶּ֗ם כִּֽי־הִבְדִּיל֩ אֱלֹהֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵעֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהַקְרִ֥יב אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֵלָ֑יו לַעֲבֹ֗ד אֶת־עֲבֹדַת֙ מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֔ה וְלַעֲמֹ֛ד לִפְנֵ֥י הָעֵדָ֖ה לְשָׁרְתָֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:9 Ist's euch zu wenig, daß euch der Gott Israels ausgesondert hat von der Gemeinde Israel, daß ihr zu ihm nahen sollt, daß ihr dienet im Amt der Wohnung des HERRN und vor die Gemeinde tretet, ihr zu dienen?(dhs) Num 16:9 Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to serve them;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:10 ============ Num 16:10 and that He has brought you near, Korah, and all your brothers, sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking for the priesthood also?(nas) Num 16:10 καὶ προσηγάγετό σε καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου υἱοὺς Λευι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ζητεῖτε ἱερατεύειν (lxx) Num 16:10 idcirco ad se fecit accedere te et omnes fratres tuos filios Levi, ut vobis etiam sacerdotium vindicetis,(vulgate) 10 ׃16 וַיַּקְרֵב֙ אֹֽתְךָ֔ וְאֶת־כָּל־אַחֶ֥יךָ בְנֵי־לֵוִ֖י אִתָּ֑ךְ וּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֖ם גַּם־כְּהֻנָּֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:10 Er hat dich und alle deine Brüder, die Kinder Levi, samt dir zu sich genommen; und ihr sucht nun auch das Priestertum?(dhs) Num 16:10 and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also?(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:11 ============ Num 16:11 Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord; but as for Aaron, who is he that you grumble against him?"(nas) Num 16:11 οὕτως σὺ καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή σου ἡ συνηθροισμένη πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ Ααρων τίς ἐστιν ὅτι διαγογγύζετε κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 16:11 et omnis globus tuus stet contra Dominum? quid est enim Aaron ut murmuretis contra eum?~(vulgate) 11 ׃16 לָכֵ֗ן אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־עֲדָ֣תְךָ֔ הַנֹּעָדִ֖ים עַל־יְהוָ֑ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן מַה־ה֔וּא כִּ֥י *תלונו **תַלִּ֖ינוּ עָלָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 16:11 Du und deine ganze Rotte macht einen Aufruhr wider den HERRN. Was ist Aaron, daß ihr wider ihn murrt?(dhs) Num 16:11 Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?"(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:12 ============ Num 16:12 Then Moses sent a summons to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said, "We will not come up.(nas) Num 16:12 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Μωυσῆς καλέσαι Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὺς Ελιαβ καὶ εἶπαν οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν (lxx) Num 16:12 Misit ergo Moyses ut vocaret Dathan et Abiron filios Eliab. Qui responderunt: Non venimus.(vulgate) 12 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִקְרֹ֛א לְדָתָ֥ן וְלַאֲבִירָ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י אֱלִיאָ֑ב וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:12 Und Mose schickte hin und ließ Dathan und Abiram rufen, die Söhne Eliabs. Sie aber sprachen: Wir kommen nicht hinauf.(dhs) Num 16:12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, but they said, "We will not come up!(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:13 ============ Num 16:13 Is it not enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to have us die in the wilderness, but you would also lord it over us?(nas) Num 16:13 μὴ μικρὸν τοῦτο ὅτι ἀνήγαγες ἡμᾶς ἐκ γῆς ῥεούσης γάλα καὶ μέλι ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅτι κατάρχεις ἡμῶν ἄρχων (lxx) Num 16:13 Numquid parum est tibi quod eduxisti nos de terra, quæ lacte et melle manabat, ut occideres in deserto, nisi et dominatus fueris nostri?(vulgate) 13 ׃16 הַמְעַ֗ט כִּ֤י הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר כִּֽי־תִשְׂתָּרֵ֥ר עָלֵ֖ינוּ גַּם־הִשְׂתָּרֵֽר׃ Numbers Num 16:13 Ist's zu wenig, daß du uns aus dem Lande geführt hast, darin Milch und Honig fließt, daß du uns tötest in der Wüste? Du mußt auch noch über uns herrschen?(dhs) Num 16:13 Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that you should keep acting like a prince over us?(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:14 ============ Num 16:14 Indeed, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Would you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!"(nas) Num 16:14 εἰ καὶ εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι εἰσήγαγες ἡμᾶς καὶ ἔδωκας ἡμῖν κλῆρον ἀγροῦ καὶ ἀμπελῶνας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐκείνων ἂν ἐξέκοψας οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν (lxx) Num 16:14 Revera induxisti nos in terram, quæ fluit rivis lactis et mellis, et dedisti nobis possessiones agrorum et vinearum: an et oculos nostros vis eruere? non venimus.(vulgate) 14 ׃16 אַ֡ף לֹ֣א אֶל־אֶרֶץ֩ זָבַ֨ת חָלָ֤ב וּדְבַשׁ֙ הֲבִ֣יאֹתָ֔נוּ וַתִּ֨תֶּן־לָ֔נוּ נַחֲלַ֖ת שָׂדֶ֣ה וָכָ֑רֶם הַעֵינֵ֞י הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָהֵ֛ם תְּנַקֵּ֖ר לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:14 Wie fein hast du uns gebracht in ein Land, darin Milch und Honig fließt, und hast uns Äcker und Weinberge zum Erbteil gegeben! Willst du den Leuten auch die Augen ausreißen? Wir kommen nicht hinauf.(dhs) Num 16:14 Moreover you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!"(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:15 ============ Num 16:15 Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord, "Do not regard their offering! I have not taken a single donkey from them, nor have I done harm to any of them."(nas) Num 16:15 καὶ ἐβαρυθύμησεν Μωυσῆς σφόδρα καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς κύριον μὴ προσχῇς εἰς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπιθύμημα οὐδενὸς αὐτῶν εἴληφα οὐδὲ ἐκάκωσα οὐδένα αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:15 Iratusque Moyses valde, ait ad Dominum: Ne respicias sacrificia eorum: tu scis quod ne asellum quidem umquam acceperim ab eis, nec afflixerim quempiam eorum.~(vulgate) 15 ׃16 וַיִּ֤חַר לְמֹשֶׁה֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה אַל־תֵּ֖פֶן אֶל־מִנְחָתָ֑ם לֹ֠א חֲמ֨וֹר אֶחָ֤ד מֵהֶם֙ נָשָׂ֔אתִי וְלֹ֥א הֲרֵעֹ֖תִי אֶת־אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:15 Da ergrimmte Mose sehr und sprach zu dem HERRN: Wende dich nicht zu ihrem Speisopfer! Ich habe nicht einen Esel von ihnen genommen und habe ihrer keinem nie ein Leid getan.(dhs) Num 16:15 Then Moses was very angry, and said to the Lord, "Do not respect their offering. "(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:25 ============ Num 16:25 Then Moses arose and went to Dathan and Abiram, with the elders of Israel following him,(nas) Num 16:25 καὶ ἀνέστη Μωυσῆς καὶ ἐπορεύθη πρὸς Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων καὶ συνεπορεύθησαν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ πάντες οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ (lxx) Num 16:25 Surrexitque Moyses, et abiit ad Dathan et Abiron: et sequentibus eum senioribus Israël,(vulgate) 25 ׃16 וַיָּ֣קָם מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־דָּתָ֣ן וַאֲבִירָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יו זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Numbers Num 16:25 Und Mose stand auf und ging zu Dathan und Abiram, und die Ältesten Israels folgten ihm nach,(dhs) Num 16:25 Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:26 ============ Num 16:26 and he spoke to the congregation, saying, "Depart now from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing that belongs to them, or you will be swept away in all their sin."(nas) Num 16:26 καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἀποσχίσθητε ἀπὸ τῶν σκηνῶν τῶν ἀνθρώπων τῶν σκληρῶν τούτων καὶ μὴ ἅπτεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν ἐστιν αὐτοῖς μὴ συναπόλησθε ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ἁμαρτίᾳ αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:26 dixit ad turbam: Recedite a tabernaculis hominum impiorum, et nolite tangere quæ ad eos pertinent, ne involvamini in peccatis eorum.(vulgate) 26 ׃16 וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־הָעֵדָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר ס֣וּרוּ נָ֡א מֵעַל֩ אָהֳלֵ֨י הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָֽרְשָׁעִים֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה וְאַֽל־תִּגְּע֖וּ בְּכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם פֶּן־תִּסָּפ֖וּ בְּכָל־חַטֹּאתָֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:26 und er redete mit der Gemeinde und sprach: Weichet von den Hütten dieser gottlosen Menschen und rührt nichts an, was ihr ist, daß ihr nicht vielleicht umkommt in irgend einer ihrer Sünden.(dhs) Num 16:26 And he spoke to the congregation, saying, "Depart now from the tents of these wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:27 ============ Num 16:27 So they got back from around the dwellings of Korah, Dathan and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the doorway of their tents, along with their wives and their sons and their little ones.(nas) Num 16:27 καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς Κορε κύκλῳ καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων ἐξῆλθον καὶ εἱστήκεισαν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῶν σκηνῶν αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:27 Cumque recessissent a tentoriis eorum per circuitum, Dathan et Abiron egressi stabant in introitu papilionum suorum cum uxoribus et liberis, omnique frequentia.(vulgate) 27 ׃16 וַיֵּעָל֗וּ מֵעַ֧ל מִשְׁכַּן־קֹ֛רֶח דָּתָ֥ן וַאֲבִירָ֖ם מִסָּבִ֑יב וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם יָצְא֣וּ נִצָּבִ֗ים פֶּ֚תַח אֽ͏ָהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם וּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם וְטַפָּֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:27 Und sie gingen hinweg von der Hütte Korahs, Dathans und Abirams. Dathan aber und Abiram gingen heraus und traten an die Tür ihrer Hütten mit ihren Weibern und Söhnen und Kindern.(dhs) Num 16:27 So they got away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, with their wives, their sons, and their little children.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:28 ============ Num 16:28 Moses said, "By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these deeds; for this is not my doing.(nas) Num 16:28 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς ἐν τούτῳ γνώσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ἀπέστειλέν με ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ταῦτα ὅτι οὐκ ἀπ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ (lxx) Num 16:28 Et ait Moyses: In hoc scietis quod Dominus miserit me ut facerem universa quæ cernitis, et non ex proprio ea corde protulerim:(vulgate) 28 ׃16 וַיֹּאמֶר֮ מֹשֶׁה֒ בְּזֹאת֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן כִּֽי־יְהוָ֣ה שְׁלָחַ֔נִי לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה כִּי־לֹ֖א מִלִּבִּֽי׃ Numbers Num 16:28 Und Mose sprach: Dabei sollt ihr merken, daß mich der HERR gesandt hat, daß ich alle diese Werke täte, und nicht aus meinem Herzen:(dhs) Num 16:28 And Moses said: "By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:29 ============ Num 16:29 If these men die the death of all men or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.(nas) Num 16:29 εἰ κατὰ θάνατον πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἀποθανοῦνται οὗτοι εἰ καὶ κατ᾽ ἐπίσκεψιν πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἐπισκοπὴ ἔσται αὐτῶν οὐχὶ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με (lxx) Num 16:29 si consueta hominum morte interierint, et visitaverit eos plaga, qua et ceteri visitari solent, non misit me Dominus:(vulgate) 29 ׃16 אִם־כְּמ֤וֹת כָּל־הָֽאָדָם֙ יְמֻת֣וּן אֵ֔לֶּה וּפְקֻדַּת֙ כָּל־הָ֣אָדָ֔ם יִפָּקֵ֖ד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א יְהוָ֖ה שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ Numbers Num 16:29 werden sie sterben, wie alle Menschen sterben, oder heimgesucht, wie alle Menschen heimgesucht werden, so hat mich der HERR nicht gesandt;(dhs) Num 16:29 If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:30 ============ Num 16:30 But if the Lord brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the Lord."(nas) Num 16:30 ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐν φάσματι δείξει κύριος καὶ ἀνοίξασα ἡ γῆ τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς καταπίεται αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς σκηνὰς αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτοῖς καὶ καταβήσονται ζῶντες εἰς ᾅδου καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι παρώξυναν οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὗτοι τὸν κύριον (lxx) Num 16:30 sin autem novam rem fecerit Dominus, ut aperiens terra os suum deglutiat eos et omnia quæ ad illos pertinent, descenderintque viventes in infernum, scietis quod blasphemaverint Dominum.~(vulgate) 30 ׃16 וְאִם־בְּרִיאָ֞ה יִבְרָ֣א יְהוָ֗ה וּפָצְתָ֨ה הָאֲדָמָ֤ה אֶת־פִּ֙יהָ֙ וּבָלְעָ֤ה אֹתָם֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֔ם וְיָרְד֥וּ חַיִּ֖ים שְׁאֹ֑לָה וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֧י נִֽאֲצ֛וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:30 wird aber der HERR etwas Neues schaffen, daß die Erde ihren Mund auftut und verschlingt sie mit allem, was sie haben, daß sie lebendig hinunter in die Hölle fahren, so werdet ihr erkennen, daß diese Leute den HERRN gelästert haben.(dhs) Num 16:30 But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:31 ============ Num 16:31 As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open;(nas) Num 16:31 ὡς δὲ ἐπαύσατο λαλῶν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐρράγη ἡ γῆ ὑποκάτω αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:31 Confestim igitur ut cessavit loqui, dirupta est terra sub pedibus eorum:(vulgate) 31 ׃16 וַיְהִי֙ כְּכַלֹּת֔וֹ לְדַבֵּ֕ר אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַתִּבָּקַ֥ע הָאֲדָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:31 Und als er diese Worte hatte alle ausgeredet, zerriß die Erde unter ihnen(dhs) Num 16:31 Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:32 ============ Num 16:32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions.(nas) Num 16:32 καὶ ἠνοίχθη ἡ γῆ καὶ κατέπιεν αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ὄντας μετὰ Κορε καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:32 et aperiens os suum, devoravit illos cum tabernaculis suis et universa substantia eorum,(vulgate) 32 ׃16 וַתִּפְתַּ֤ח הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת־פִּ֔יהָ וַתִּבְלַ֥ע אֹתָ֖ם וְאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְאֵ֤ת כָּל־הָאָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְקֹ֔רַח וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־הָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ Numbers Num 16:32 und tat ihren Mund auf und verschlang sie mit ihren Häusern, mit allen Menschen, die bei Korah waren, und mit aller ihrer Habe;(dhs) Num 16:32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:33 ============ Num 16:33 So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; Then they fell on their faces.(nas) Num 16:45 ἐκχωρήσατε ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης καὶ ἐξαναλώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἅπαξ καὶ ἔπεσον ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 16:45 Recedite de medio hujus multitudinis, etiam nunc delebo eos. Cumque jacerent in terra,(vulgate) 10 ׃17 הֵרֹ֗מּוּ מִתּוֹךְ֙ הָעֵדָ֣ה הַזֹּ֔את וַאֲכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם כְּרָ֑גַע וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:45 Hebt euch aus dieser Gemeinde; ich will sie plötzlich vertilgen! The plague has begun."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:47 ============ Num 16:47 Then Aaron took it as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly, for behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.(nas) Num 16:47 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ααρων καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν αὐτῷ Μωυσῆς καὶ ἔδραμεν εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν καὶ ἤδη ἐνῆρκτο ἡ θραῦσις ἐν τῷ λαῷ καὶ ἐπέβαλεν τὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἐξιλάσατο περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ (lxx) Num 16:47 Quod cum fecisset Aaron, et cucurrisset ad mediam multitudinem, quam jam vastabat incendium, obtulit thymiama:(vulgate) 12 ׃17 וַיִּקַּ֨ח אַהֲרֹ֜ן כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ דִּבֶּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיָּ֙רָץ֙ אֶל־תּ֣וֹך הַקָּהָ֔ל וְהִנֵּ֛ה הֵחֵ֥ל הַנֶּ֖גֶף בָּעָ֑ם וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶֽת־הַקְּטֹ֔רֶת וַיְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־הָעָֽם׃ Numbers Num 16:47 Und Aaron nahm wie ihm Mose gesagt hatte, und lief mitten unter die Gemeinde (und siehe, die Plage war angegangen unter dem Volk) und räucherte und versöhnte das Volk(dhs) Num 16:47 Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and already the plague had begun among the people. So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:48 ============ Num 16:48 He took his stand between the dead and the living, so that the plague was checked.(nas) Num 16:48 καὶ ἔστη ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν τεθνηκότων καὶ τῶν ζώντων καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραῦσις (lxx) Num 16:48 et stans inter mortuos ac viventes, pro populo deprecatus est, et plaga cessavit.(vulgate) 13 ׃17 וַיַּעֲמֹ֥ד בֵּֽין־הַמֵּתִ֖ים וּבֵ֣ין הֽ͏ַחַיִּ֑ים וַתֵּעָצַ֖ר הַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃ Numbers Num 16:48 und stand zwischen den Toten und den Lebendigen. Da ward der Plage gewehrt.(dhs) Num 16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:49 ============ Num 16:49 But those who died by the plague were 14,700, besides those who died on account of Korah.(nas) Num 16:49 καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ τεθνηκότες ἐν τῇ θραύσει τέσσαρες καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι χωρὶς τῶν τεθνηκότων ἕνεκεν Κορε (lxx) Num 16:49 Fuerunt autem qui percussi sunt, quatuordecim millia hominum, et septingenti, absque his qui perierant in seditione Core.(vulgate) 14 ׃17 וַיִּהְי֗וּ הַמֵּתִים֙ בַּמַּגֵּפָ֔ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁבַ֣ע מֵא֑וֹת מִלְּבַ֥ד הַמֵּתִ֖ים עַל־דְּבַר־קֹֽרַח׃ Numbers Num 16:49 Derer aber, die an der Plage gestorben waren, waren vierzehntausend und siebenhundert, ohne die, so mit Korah starben.(dhs) Num 16:49 Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 16:50 ============ Num 16:50 Then Aaron returned to Moses at the doorway of the tent of meeting, for the plague had been checked.(nas) Num 16:50 καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Ααρων πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραῦσις (lxx) Num 16:50 Reversusque est Aaron ad Moysen ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis postquam quievit interitus.(vulgate) 15 ׃17 וַיָּ֤שָׁב אַהֲרֹן֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְהַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה נֶעֱצָֽרָה׃ פ Numbers Num 16:50 Und Aaron kam wieder zu Mose vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts, und der Plage ward gewehrt.(dhs) Num 16:50 So Aaron returned to Moses at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, for the plague had stopped.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 17:1 ============ top of the page
