Today's Date: ======= Numbers 19:1 ============ Num 19:1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,(nas) Num 19:1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων (lxx) Num 19:1 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron, dicens:(vulgate) 1 ׃19 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ Numbers Num 19:1 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und Aaron und sprach:(dhs) Num 19:1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:2 ============ Num 19:2 "This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying, 'Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring you an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke has never been placed.(nas) Num 19:2 αὕτη ἡ διαστολὴ τοῦ νόμου ὅσα συνέταξεν κύριος λέγων λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ λαβέτωσαν πρὸς σὲ δάμαλιν πυρρὰν ἄμωμον ἥτις οὐκ ἔχει ἐν αὐτῇ μῶμον καὶ ᾗ οὐκ ἐπεβλήθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ζυγός (lxx) Num 19:2 Ista est religio victimæ, quam constituit Dominus. Præcipe filiis Israël, ut adducant ad te vaccam rufam ætatis integræ, in qua nulla sit macula, nec portaverit jugum:(vulgate) 2 ׃19 זֹ֚את חֻקַּ֣ת הַתּוֹרָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר דַּבֵּ֣ר ׀ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְיִקְח֣וּ אֵלֶיךָ֩ פָרָ֨ה אֲדֻמָּ֜ה תְּמִימָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֵֽין־בָּהּ֙ מ֔וּם אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא־עָלָ֥ה עָלֶ֖יהָ עֹֽל׃ Numbers Num 19:2 Diese Weise soll ein Gesetz sein, das der HERR geboten hat und gesagt: Sage den Kindern Israel, daß sie zu dir führen ein rötliche Kuh ohne Gebrechen, an der kein Fehl sei und auf die noch nie ein Joch gekommen ist.(dhs) Num 19:2 "This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: 'Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:3 ============ Num 19:3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence.(nas) Num 19:3 καὶ δώσεις αὐτὴν πρὸς Ελεαζαρ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἐξάξουσιν αὐτὴν ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς εἰς τόπον καθαρὸν καὶ σφάξουσιν αὐτὴν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 19:3 tradetisque eam Eleazaro sacerdoti, qui eductam extra castra, immolabit in conspectu omnium:(vulgate) 3 ׃19 וּנְתַתֶּ֣ם אֹתָ֔הּ אֶל־אֶלְעָזָ֖ר הַכֹּהֵ֑ן וְהוֹצִ֤יא אֹתָהּ֙ אֶל־מִח֣וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וְשָׁחַ֥ט אֹתָ֖הּ לְפָנָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 19:3 Und gebt sie dem Priester Eleasar; der soll sie hinaus vor das Lager führen und daselbst vor ihm schlachten lassen.(dhs) Num 19:3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, that he may take it outside the camp, and it shall be slaughtered before him;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:4 ============ Num 19:4 Next Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.(nas) Num 19:4 καὶ λήμψεται Ελεαζαρ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς καὶ ῥανεῖ ἀπέναντι τοῦ προσώπου τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς ἑπτάκις (lxx) Num 19:4 et tingens digitum in sanguine ejus, asperget contra fores tabernaculi septem vicibus,(vulgate) 4 ׃19 וְלָקַ֞ח אֶלְעָזָ֧ר הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מִדָּמָ֖הּ בְּאֶצְבָּע֑וֹ וְהִזָּ֞ה אֶל־נֹ֨כַח פְּנֵ֧י אֹֽהֶל־מוֹעֵ֛ד מִדָּמָ֖הּ שֶׁ֥בַע פְּעָמִֽים׃ Numbers Num 19:4 Und Eleasar, der Priester, soll von ihrem Blut mit seinem Finger nehmen und stracks gegen die Hütte des Stifts siebenmal sprengen(dhs) Num 19:4 and Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times directly in front of the tabernacle of meeting.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:5 ============ Num 19:5 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight; its hide and its flesh and its blood, with its refuse, shall be burned.(nas) Num 19:5 καὶ κατακαύσουσιν αὐτὴν ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ δέρμα καὶ τὰ κρέα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτῆς σὺν τῇ κόπρῳ αὐτῆς κατακαυθήσεται (lxx) Num 19:5 comburetque eam cunctis videntibus, tam pelle et carnibus ejus quam sanguine et fimo flammæ traditis.(vulgate) 5 ׃19 וְשָׂרַ֥ף אֶת־הַפָּרָ֖ה לְעֵינָ֑יו אֶת־עֹרָ֤הּ וְאֶת־בְּשָׂרָהּ֙ וְאֶת־דָּמָ֔הּ עַל־פִּרְשָׁ֖הּ יִשְׂרֹֽף׃ Numbers Num 19:5 und die Kuh vor ihm verbrennen lassen, beides, ihr Fell und ihr Fleisch, dazu ihr Blut samt ihrem Mist.(dhs) Num 19:5 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: its hide, its flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:6 ============ Num 19:6 The priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet material and cast it into the midst of the burning heifer.(nas) Num 19:6 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ξύλον κέδρινον καὶ ὕσσωπον καὶ κόκκινον καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς μέσον τοῦ κατακαύματος τῆς δαμάλεως (lxx) Num 19:6 Lignum quoque cedrinum, et hyssopum, coccumque bis tinctum sacerdos mittet in flammam, quæ vaccam vorat.(vulgate) 6 ׃19 וְלָקַ֣ח הַכֹּהֵ֗ן עֵ֥ץ אֶ֛רֶז וְאֵז֖וֹב וּשְׁנִ֣י תוֹלָ֑עַת וְהִשְׁלִ֕יךְ אֶל־תּ֖וֹךְ שְׂרֵפַ֥ת הַפָּרָֽה׃ Numbers Num 19:6 Und der Priester soll Zedernholz und Isop und scharlachrote Wolle nehmen und auf die brennende Kuh werfen(dhs) Num 19:6 And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:7 ============ Num 19:7 The priest shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp, but the priest shall be unclean until evening.(nas) Num 19:7 καὶ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:7 Et tunc demum, lotis vestibus et corpore suo, ingredietur in castra, commaculatusque erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) 7 ׃19 וְכִבֶּ֨ס בְּגָדָ֜יו הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְרָחַ֤ץ בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ בַּמַּ֔יִם וְאַחַ֖ר יָב֣וֹא אֶל־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה וְטָמֵ֥א הַכֹּהֵ֖ן עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃ Numbers Num 19:7 und soll seine Kleider waschen und seinen Leib mit Wasser baden und darnach ins Lager gehen und unrein sein bis an den Abend.(dhs) Num 19:7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, he shall bathe in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp; the priest shall be unclean until evening.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:8 ============ Num 19:8 The one who burns it shall also wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water, and shall be unclean until evening.(nas) Num 19:8 καὶ ὁ κατακαίων αὐτὴν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:8 Sed et ille qui combusserit eam, lavabit vestimenta sua et corpus, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) 8 ׃19 וְהַשֹּׂרֵ֣ף אֹתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֤ס בְּגָדָיו֙ בַּמַּ֔יִם וְרָחַ֥ץ בְּשָׂר֖וֹ בַּמָּ֑יִם וְטָמֵ֖א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃ Numbers Num 19:8 Und der sie verbrannt hat, soll auch seine Kleider mit Wasser waschen und seinen Leib in Wasser baden und unrein sein bis an den Abend.(dhs) Num 19:8 And the one who burns it shall wash his clothes in water, bathe in water, and shall be unclean until evening.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:9 ============ Num 19:9 Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the sons of Israel shall keep it as water to remove impurity; it is purification from sin.(nas) Num 19:9 καὶ συνάξει ἄνθρωπος καθαρὸς τὴν σποδὸν τῆς δαμάλεως καὶ ἀποθήσει ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς εἰς τόπον καθαρόν καὶ ἔσται τῇ συναγωγῇ υἱῶν Ισραηλ εἰς διατήρησιν ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ ἅγνισμά ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:9 Colliget autem vir mundus cineres vaccæ, et effundet eos extra castra in loco purissimo, ut sint multitudini filiorum Israël in custodiam, et in aquam aspersionis: quia pro peccato vacca combusta est.(vulgate) 9 ׃19 וְאָסַ֣ף ׀ אִ֣ישׁ טָה֗וֹר אֵ֚ת אֵ֣פֶר הַפָּרָ֔ה וְהִנִּ֛יחַ מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה בְּמָק֣וֹם טָה֑וֹר וְ֠הָיְתָה לַעֲדַ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל לְמִשְׁמֶ֛רֶת לְמֵ֥י נִדָּ֖ה חַטָּ֥את הִֽוא׃ Numbers Num 19:9 Und ein reiner Mann soll die Asche von der Kuh aufraffen und sie schütten draußen vor dem Lager an eine reine Stätte, daß sie daselbst verwahrt werde für die Gemeinde der Kinder Israel zum Sprengwasser; denn es ist ein Sündopfer.(dhs) Num 19:9 Then a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and store them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for the water of purification; it is for purifying from sin.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:10 ============ Num 19:10 The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; and it shall be a perpetual statute to the sons of Israel and to the alien who sojourns among them.(nas) Num 19:10 καὶ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια ὁ συνάγων τὴν σποδιὰν τῆς δαμάλεως καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ ἔσται τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ τοῖς προσκειμένοις προσηλύτοις νόμιμον αἰώνιον (lxx) Num 19:10 Cumque laverit qui vaccæ portaverat cineres vestimenta sua, immundus erit usque ad vesperum. Habebunt hoc filii Israël, et advenæ qui habitant inter eos, sanctum jure perpetuo.~(vulgate) 10 ׃19 וְ֠כִבֶּס הָאֹסֵ֨ף אֶת־אֵ֤פֶר הַפָּרָה֙ אֶת־בְּגָדָ֔יו וְטָמֵ֖א עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וְֽהָיְתָ֞ה לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְלַגֵּ֛ר הַגָּ֥ר בְּתוֹכָ֖ם לְחֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָֽם׃ Numbers Num 19:10 Und derselbe, der die Asche der Kuh aufgerafft hat, soll seine Kleider waschen und unrein sein bis an den Abend. Dies soll ein ewiges Recht sein den Kindern Israel und den Fremdlingen, die unter euch wohnen.(dhs) Num 19:10 And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. It shall be a statute forever to the children of Israel and to the stranger who dwells among them.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:11 ============ Num 19:11 'The one who touches the corpse of any person shall be unclean for seven days.(nas) Num 19:11 ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ τεθνηκότος πάσης ψυχῆς ἀνθρώπου ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας (lxx) Num 19:11 Qui tetigerit cadaver hominis, et propter hoc septem diebus fuerit immundus,(vulgate) 11 ׃19 הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּמֵ֖ת לְכָל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ אָדָ֑ם וְטָמֵ֖א שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִֽים׃ Numbers Num 19:11 Wer nun irgend einen toten Menschen anrührt, der wird sieben Tage unrein sein.(dhs) Num 19:11 'He who touches the dead body of anyone shall be unclean seven days.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:12 ============ Num 19:12 That one shall purify himself from uncleanness with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.(nas) Num 19:12 οὗτος ἁγνισθήσεται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀφαγνισθῇ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ οὐ καθαρὸς ἔσται (lxx) Num 19:12 aspergetur ex hac aqua die tertio et septimo, et sic mundabitur. Si die tertio aspersus non fuerit, septimo non poterit emundari.(vulgate) 12 ׃19 ה֣וּא יִתְחַטָּא־ב֞וֹ בַּיּ֧וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛י וּבַיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י יִטְהָ֑ר וְאִם־לֹ֨א יִתְחַטָּ֜א בַּיּ֧וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛י וּבַיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י לֹ֥א יִטְהָֽר׃ Numbers Num 19:12 Der soll sich hiermit entsündigen am dritten Tage und am siebenten Tage, so wird er rein; und wo er sich nicht am dritten Tage und am siebenten Tage entsündigt, so wird er nicht rein werden.(dhs) Num 19:12 He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:13 ============ Num 19:13 Anyone who touches a corpse, the body of a man who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from Israel. Because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.(nas) Num 19:13 πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ τεθνηκότος ἀπὸ ψυχῆς ἀνθρώπου ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ μὴ ἀφαγνισθῇ τὴν σκηνὴν κυρίου ἐμίανεν ἐκτριβήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐξ Ισραηλ ὅτι ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ οὐ περιερραντίσθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ἀκάθαρτός ἐστιν ἔτι ἡ ἀκαθαρσία αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:13 Omnis qui tetigerit humanæ animæ morticinum, et aspersus hac commistione non fuerit, polluet tabernaculum Domini et peribit ex Israël: quia aqua expiationis non est aspersus, immundus erit, et manebit spurcitia ejus super eum.(vulgate) 13 ׃19 כָּֽל־הַנֹּגֵ֡עַ בְּמֵ֣ת בְּנֶפֶשׁ֩ הָאָדָ֨ם אֲשֶׁר־יָמ֜וּת וְלֹ֣א יִתְחַטָּ֗א אֶת־מִשְׁכַּ֤ן יְהוָה֙ טִמֵּ֔א וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּי֩ מֵ֨י נִדָּ֜ה לֹא־זֹרַ֤ק עָלָיו֙ טָמֵ֣א יִהְיֶ֔ה ע֖וֹד טֻמְאָת֥וֹ בֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 19:13 Wenn aber jemand irgend einen toten Menschen anrührt und sich nicht entsündigen wollte, der verunreinigt die Wohnung des HERRN, und solche Seele soll ausgerottet werden aus Israel. Darum daß das Sprengwasser nicht über ihn gesprengt ist, so ist er unrein; seine Unreinigkeit bleibt an ihm.(dhs) Num 19:13 Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord. That person shall be cut off from Israel. the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, he is unclean.(nas) Num 19:20 καὶ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἐὰν μιανθῇ καὶ μὴ ἀφαγνισθῇ ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ μέσου τῆς συναγωγῆς ὅτι τὰ ἅγια κυρίου ἐμίανεν ὅτι ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ οὐ περιερραντίσθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ἀκάθαρτός ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:20 Si quis hoc ritu non fuerit expiatus, peribit anima illius de medio ecclesiæ: quia sanctuarium Domini polluit, et non est aqua lustrationis aspersus.(vulgate) 20 ׃19 וְאִ֤ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִטְמָא֙ וְלֹ֣א יִתְחַטָּ֔א וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַקָּהָ֑ל כִּי֩ אֶת־מִקְדַּ֨שׁ יְהוָ֜ה טִמֵּ֗א מֵ֥י נִדָּ֛ה לֹא־זֹרַ֥ק עָלָ֖יו טָמֵ֥א הֽוּא׃ Numbers Num 19:20 Welcher aber unrein sein wird und sich nicht entsündigen will, des Seele soll ausgerottet werden aus der Gemeinde; And he who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.(nas) Num 19:21 καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν νόμιμον αἰώνιον καὶ ὁ περιρραίνων ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ῥαντισμοῦ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:21 Erit hoc præceptum legitimum sempiternum. Ipse quoque qui aspergit aquas, lavabit vestimenta sua. Omnis qui tetigerit aquas expiationis, immundus erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) 21 ׃19 וְהָיְתָ֥ה לָּהֶ֖ם לְחֻקַּ֣ת עוֹלָ֑ם וּמַזֵּ֤ה מֵֽי־הַנִּדָּה֙ יְכַבֵּ֣ס בְּגָדָ֔יו וְהַנֹּגֵ֙עַ֙ בְּמֵ֣י הַנִּדָּ֔ה יִטְמָ֖א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃ Numbers Num 19:21 Und dies soll ihnen ein ewiges Recht sein.
