Today's Date: ======= 1 Kings 7:1 ============ 1Ki 7:1 Now Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.(nas) 1Ki 7:1 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμων καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸν Χιραμ ἐκ Τύρου (lxx) 1Ki 7:1 Domum autem suam ædificavit Salomon tredecim annis, et ad perfectum usque perduxit.(vulgate) 1 ׃7 וְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ֙ בָּנָ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה שְׁלֹ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה שָׁנָ֑ה וַיְכַ֖ל אֶת־כָּל־בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:1 Aber an seinem Hause baute Salomo dreizehn Jahre, daß er's ganz ausbaute.(dhs) 1Ki 7:1 But Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:2 ============ 1Ki 7:2 He built the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length was 100 cubits and its width 50 cubits and its height 30 cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars with cedar beams on the pillars.(nas) 1Ki 7:2 υἱὸν γυναικὸς χήρας καὶ οὗτος ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλι καὶ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ Τύριος τέκτων χαλκοῦ καὶ πεπληρωμένος τῆς τέχνης καὶ συνέσεως καὶ ἐπιγνώσεως τοῦ ποιεῖν πᾶν ἔργον ἐν χαλκῷ καὶ εἰσήχθη πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Σαλωμων καὶ ἐποίησεν πάντα τὰ ἔργα (lxx) 1Ki 7:2 Ædificavit quoque domum saltus Libani centum cubitorum longitudinis, et quinquaginta cubitorum latitudinis, et triginta cubitorum altitudinis: et quatuor deambulacra inter columnas cedrinas: ligna quippe cedrina exciderat in columnas.(vulgate) 2 ׃7 וַיִּ֜בֶן אֶת־בֵּ֣ית ׀ יַ֣עַר הַלְּבָנ֗וֹן מֵאָ֨ה אַמָּ֤ה אָרְכּוֹ֙ וַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים אַמָּה֙ רָחְבּ֔וֹ וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים אַמָּ֖ה קוֹמָת֑וֹ עַ֗ל אַרְבָּעָה֙ טוּרֵי֙ עַמּוּדֵ֣י אֲרָזִ֔ים וּכְרֻת֥וֹת אֲרָזִ֖ים עַל־הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:2 Nämlich er baute das Haus vom Wald Libanon, hundert Ellen lang, fünfzig Ellen weit und dreißig Ellen hoch. Auf vier Reihen von zedernen Säulen legte er den Boden von zedernen Balken,(dhs) 1Ki 7:2 He also built the House of the Forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, with four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:3 ============ 1Ki 7:3 It was paneled with cedar above the side chambers which were on the 45 pillars, 15 in each row.(nas) 1Ki 7:3 καὶ ἐχώνευσεν τοὺς δύο στύλους τῷ αιλαμ τοῦ οἴκου ὀκτωκαίδεκα πήχεις ὕψος τοῦ στύλου καὶ περίμετρον τέσσαρες καὶ δέκα πήχεις ἐκύκλου αὐτόν καὶ τὸ πάχος τοῦ στύλου τεσσάρων δακτύλων τὰ κοιλώματα καὶ οὕτως ὁ στῦλος ὁ δεύτερος (lxx) 1Ki 7:3 Et tabulatis cedrinis vestivit totam cameram, quæ quadraginta quinque columnis sustentabatur. Unus autem ordo habebat columnas quindecim(vulgate) 3 ׃7 וְסָפֻ֣ן בָּאֶ֗רֶז מִמַּ֙עַל֙ עַל־הַצְּלָעֹת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הָֽעַמּוּדִ֔ים אַרְבָּעִ֖ים וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑ה חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר הַטּֽוּר׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:3 und deckte mit Zedern die Gemächer auf den Säulen, und der Gemächer waren fünfundvierzig, je fünfzehn in einer Reihe.(dhs) 1Ki 7:3 And it was paneled with cedar above the beams that were on forty-five pillars, fifteen to a row.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:4 ============ 1Ki 7:4 There were artistic window frames in three rows, and window was opposite window in three ranks.(nas) 1Ki 7:4 καὶ δύο ἐπιθέματα ἐποίησεν δοῦναι ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς τῶν στύλων χωνευτὰ χαλκᾶ πέντε πήχεις τὸ ὕψος τοῦ ἐπιθέματος τοῦ ἑνός καὶ πέντε πήχεις τὸ ὕψος τοῦ ἐπιθέματος τοῦ δευτέρου (lxx) 1Ki 7:4 contra se invicem positas,(vulgate) 4 ׃7 וּשְׁקֻפִ֖ים שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה טוּרִ֑ים וּמֶחֱזָ֥ה אֶל־מֶחֱזָ֖ה שָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:4 Und Gebälk lag in drei Reihen, und waren Fenster einander gegenüber dreimal.(dhs) 1Ki 7:4 There were windows with beveled frames in three rows, and window was opposite window in three tiers.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:5 ============ 1Ki 7:5 All the doorways and doorposts had squared artistic frames, and window was opposite window in three ranks.(nas) 1Ki 7:5 καὶ ἐποίησεν δύο δίκτυα περικαλύψαι τὸ ἐπίθεμα τῶν στύλων καὶ δίκτυον τῷ ἐπιθέματι τῷ ἑνί καὶ δίκτυον τῷ ἐπιθέματι τῷ δευτέρῳ (lxx) 1Ki 7:5 et e regione se respicientes, æquali spatio inter columnas, et super columnas quadrangulata ligna in cunctis æqualia.(vulgate) 5 ׃7 וְכָל־הַפְּתָחִ֥ים וְהַמְּזוּז֖וֹת רְבֻעִ֣ים שָׁ֑קֶף וּמ֧וּל מֶחֱזָ֛ה אֶל־מֶחֱזָ֖ה שָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:5 Und alle Türen waren in ihren Pfosten viereckig, und die Fenster waren einander gegenüber dreimal.(dhs) 1Ki 7:5 And all the doorways and doorposts had rectangular frames; and window was opposite window in three tiers.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:6 ============ 1Ki 7:6 Then he made the hall of pillars; its length was 50 cubits and its width 30 cubits, and a porch was in front of them and pillars and a threshold in front of them.(nas) 1Ki 7:6 καὶ ἔργον κρεμαστόν δύο στίχοι ῥοῶν χαλκῶν δεδικτυωμένοι ἔργον κρεμαστόν στίχος ἐπὶ στίχον καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησεν τῷ ἐπιθέματι τῷ δευτέρῳ (lxx) 1Ki 7:6 Et porticum columnarum fecit quinquaginta cubitorum longitudinis, et triginta cubitorum latitudinis: et alteram porticum in facie majoris porticus: et columnas, et epistylia super columnas.(vulgate) 6 ׃7 וְאֵ֨ת אוּלָ֤ם הָֽעַמּוּדִים֙ עָשָׂ֔ה חֲמִשִּׁ֤ים אַמָּה֙ אָרְכּ֔וֹ וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים אַמָּ֖ה רָחְבּ֑וֹ וְאוּלָם֙ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶ֔ם וְעַמֻּדִ֥ים וְעָ֖ב עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:6 Er baute auch eine Halle von Säulen, fünfzig Ellen lang und dreißig Ellen breit, und noch eine Halle vor diese mit Säulen und einem Aufgang davor,(dhs) 1Ki 7:6 He also made the Hall of Pillars: its length was fifty cubits, and its width thirty cubits; and in front of them was a portico with pillars, and a canopy was in front of them.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:7 ============ 1Ki 7:7 He made the hall of the throne where he was to judge, the hall of judgment, and it was paneled with cedar from floor to floor.(nas) 1Ki 7:7 καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς στύλους τοῦ αιλαμ τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ ἔστησεν τὸν στῦλον τὸν ἕνα καὶ ἐπεκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ιαχουμ καὶ ἔστησεν τὸν στῦλον τὸν δεύτερον καὶ ἐπεκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Βααζ (lxx) 1Ki 7:7 Porticum quoque solii, in qua tribunal est, fecit: et texit lignis cedrinis a pavimento usque ad summitatem.(vulgate) 7 ׃7 וְאוּלָ֤ם הַכִּסֵּא֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשְׁפָּט־שָׁ֔ם אֻלָ֥ם הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט עָשָׂ֑ה וְסָפ֣וּן בָּאֶ֔רֶז מֵהַקַּרְקַ֖ע עַד־הַקַּרְקָֽע׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:7 Und baute eine Halle zum Richtstuhl, darin man Gericht hielt, und täfelte sie vom Boden bis zur Decke mit Zedern.(dhs) 1Ki 7:7 Then he made a hall for the throne, the Hall of Judgment, where he might judge; and it was paneled with cedar from floor to ceiling.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:8 ============ 1Ki 7:8 His house where he was to live, the other court inward from the hall, was of the same workmanship. He also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter, whom Solomon had married.(nas) 1Ki 7:8 καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν κεφαλῶν τῶν στύλων ἔργον κρίνου κατὰ τὸ αιλαμ τεσσάρων πηχῶν (lxx) 1Ki 7:8 Et domuncula, in qua sedebatur ad judicandum, erat in media porticu simili opere. Domum quoque fecit filiæ Pharaonis (quam uxorem duxerat Salomon) tali opere, quali et hanc porticum.(vulgate) 8 ׃7 וּבֵיתוֹ֩ אֲשֶׁר־יֵ֨שֶׁב שָׁ֜ם חָצֵ֣ר הָאַחֶ֗רֶת מִבֵּית֙ לָֽאוּלָ֔ם כַּמַּֽעֲשֶׂ֥ה הַזֶּ֖ה הָיָ֑ה וּבַ֜יִת יַעֲשֶׂ֤ה לְבַת־פַּרְעֹה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָקַ֣ח שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה כָּאוּלָ֖ם הַזֶּֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:8 Dazu sein Haus, darin er wohnte, im Hinterhof, hinten an der Halle, gemacht wie die andern. Und machte auch ein Haus wie die Halle der Tochter Pharaos, die Salomo zum Weibe genommen hatte.(dhs) 1Ki 7:8 And the house where he dwelt had another court inside the hall, of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken as wife.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:9 ============ 1Ki 7:9 All these were of costly stones, of stone cut according to measure, sawed with saws, inside and outside; even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside to the great court.(nas) 1Ki 7:9 καὶ μέλαθρον ἐπ᾽ ἀμφοτέρων τῶν στύλων καὶ ἐπάνωθεν τῶν πλευρῶν ἐπίθεμα τὸ μέλαθρον τῷ πάχει (lxx) 1Ki 7:9 Omnia lapidibus pretiosis, qui ad normam quamdam atque mensuram tam intrinsecus quam extrinsecus serrati erant: a fundamento usque ad summitatem parietum, et extrinsecus usque ad atrium majus.(vulgate) 9 ׃7 כָּל־אֵ֜לֶּה אֲבָנִ֤ים יְקָרֹת֙ כְּמִדֹּ֣ת גָּזִ֔ית מְגֹרָר֥וֹת בַּמְּגֵרָ֖ה מִבַּ֣יִת וּמִח֑וּץ וּמִמַּסָּד֙ עַד־הַטְּפָח֔וֹת וּמִח֖וּץ עַד־הֶחָצֵ֥ר הַגְּדוֹלָֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:9 Solches alles waren köstliche Steine, nach dem Winkeleisen gehauen, mit Sägen geschnitten auf allen Seiten, vom Grund an bis an das Dach und von außen bis zum großen Hof.(dhs) 1Ki 7:9 All these were of costly stones cut to size, trimmed with saws, inside and out, from the foundation to the eaves, and also on the outside to the great court.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:10 ============ 1Ki 7:10 The foundation was of costly stones, even large stones, stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits.(nas) 1Ki 7:10 καὶ ἐποίησεν τὴν θάλασσαν δέκα ἐν πήχει ἀπὸ τοῦ χείλους αὐτῆς ἕως τοῦ χείλους αὐτῆς στρογγύλον κύκλῳ τὸ αὐτό πέντε ἐν πήχει τὸ ὕψος αὐτῆς καὶ συνηγμένοι τρεῖς καὶ τριάκοντα ἐν πήχει ἐκύκλουν αὐτήν (lxx) 1Ki 7:10 Fundamenta autem de lapidibus pretiosis, lapidibus magnis, decem sive octo cubitorum.(vulgate) 10 ׃7 וּמְיֻסָּ֕ד אֲבָנִ֥ים יְקָר֖וֹת אֲבָנִ֣ים גְּדֹל֑וֹת אַבְנֵי֙ עֶ֣שֶׂר אַמּ֔וֹת וְאַבְנֵ֖י שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה אַמּֽוֹת׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:10 Die Grundfeste aber waren auch köstliche und große Steine, zehn und acht Ellen groß,(dhs) 1Ki 7:10 The foundation was of costly stones, large stones, some ten cubits and some eight cubits.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:11 ============ 1Ki 7:11 And above were costly stones, stone cut according to measure, and cedar.(nas) 1Ki 7:11 καὶ ὑποστηρίγματα ὑποκάτωθεν τοῦ χείλους αὐτῆς κυκλόθεν ἐκύκλουν αὐτήν δέκα ἐν πήχει κυκλόθεν ἀνιστᾶν τὴν θάλασσαν (lxx) 1Ki 7:11 Et desuper lapides pretiosi æqualis mensuræ secti erant, similiterque de cedro.(vulgate) 11 ׃7 וּמִלְמַ֗עְלָה אֲבָנִ֧ים יְקָר֛וֹת כְּמִדּ֥וֹת גָּזִ֖ית וָאָֽרֶז׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:11 und darauf köstliche Steine, nach dem Winkeleisen gehauen, und Zedern.(dhs) 1Ki 7:11 And above were costly stones, hewn to size, and cedar wood.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:12 ============ 1Ki 7:12 So the great court all around had three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams even as the inner court of the house of the Lord, and the porch of the house.(nas) 1Ki 7:12 καὶ τὸ χεῖλος αὐτῆς ὡς ἔργον χείλους ποτηρίου βλαστὸς κρίνου καὶ τὸ πάχος αὐτοῦ παλαιστής (lxx) 1Ki 7:12 Et atrium majus rotundum trium ordinum de lapidibus sectis, et unius ordinis de dolata cedro: necnon et in atrio domus Domini interiori, et in porticu domus.~(vulgate) 12 ׃7 וְחָצֵ֨ר הַגְּדוֹלָ֜ה סָבִ֗יב שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ טוּרִ֣ים גָּזִ֔ית וְט֖וּר כְּרֻתֹ֣ת אֲרָזִ֑ים וְלַחֲצַ֧ר בֵּית־יְהוָ֛ה הַפְּנִימִ֖ית וּלְאֻלָ֥ם הַבָּֽיִת׃ פ Kings1 1Ki 7:12 Aber der große Hof umher hatte drei Reihen behauene Steine und eine Reihe von zedernen Balken wie auch der innere Hof am Hause des HERRN und die Halle am Hause.(dhs) 1Ki 7:12 The great court was enclosed with three rows of hewn stones and a row of cedar beams. So were the inner court of the house of the Lord and the vestibule of the temple.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:13 ============ 1Ki 7:13 Now King Solomon sent and brought Hiram from Tyre.(nas) 1Ki 7:13 καὶ δώδεκα βόες ὑποκάτω τῆς θαλάσσης οἱ τρεῖς ἐπιβλέποντες βορρᾶν καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἐπιβλέποντες θάλασσαν καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἐπιβλέποντες νότον καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἐπιβλέποντες ἀνατολήν καὶ πάντα τὰ ὀπίσθια εἰς τὸν οἶκον καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ἐπ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐπάνωθεν (lxx) 1Ki 7:13 Misit quoque rex Salomon, et tulit Hiram de Tyro,(vulgate) 13 ׃7 וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וַיִּקַּ֥ח אֶת־חִירָ֖ם מִצֹּֽר׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:13 Und der König Salomo sandte hin und ließ holen Hiram von Tyrus,(dhs) 1Ki 7:13 Now King Solomon sent and brought Huram from Tyre.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:14 ============ 1Ki 7:14 He was a widow's son from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill for doing any work in bronze. So he came to King Solomon and performed all his work.(nas) 1Ki 7:14 καὶ ἐποίησεν δέκα μεχωνωθ χαλκᾶς πέντε πήχεις μῆκος τῆς μεχωνωθ τῆς μιᾶς καὶ τέσσαρες πήχεις πλάτος αὐτῆς καὶ ἓξ ἐν πήχει ὕψος αὐτῆς (lxx) 1Ki 7:14 filium mulieris viduæ de tribu Nephthali, patre Tyrio, artificem ærarium, et plenum sapientia, et intelligentia, et doctrina, ad faciendum omne opus ex ære. Qui cum venisset ad regem Salomonem, fecit omne opus ejus.(vulgate) 14 ׃7 בֶּן־אִשָּׁה֩ אַלְמָנָ֨ה ה֜וּא מִמַּטֵּ֣ה נַפְתָּלִ֗י וְאָבִ֣יו אִישׁ־צֹרִי֮ חֹרֵ֣שׁ נְחֹשֶׁת֒ וַ֠יִּמָּלֵא אֶת־הַחָכְמָ֤ה וְאֶת־הַתְּבוּנָה֙ וְאֶת־הַדַּ֔עַת לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת כָּל־מְלָאכָ֖ה בַּנְּחֹ֑שֶׁת וַיָּבוֹא֙ אֶל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וַיַּ֖עַשׂ אֶת־כָּל־מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:14 einer Witwe Sohn aus dem Stamm Naphthali, und sein Vater war ein Mann von Tyrus gewesen; der war ein Meister im Erz, voll Weisheit, Verstand und Kunst, zu arbeiten allerlei Erzwerk. Da er zum König Salomo kam, machte er alle seine Werke.(dhs) 1Ki 7:14 He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a bronze worker; he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill in working with all kinds of bronze work. So he came to King Solomon and did all his work.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:15 ============ 1Ki 7:15 He fashioned the two pillars of bronze; eighteen cubits was the height of one pillar, and a line of twelve cubits measured the circumference of both.(nas) 1Ki 7:15 καὶ τοῦτο τὸ ἔργον τῶν μεχωνωθ σύγκλειστον αὐτοῖς καὶ σύγκλειστον ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ἐξεχομένων (lxx) 1Ki 7:15 Et finxit duas columnas æreas, decem et octo cubitorum altitudinis columnam unam: et linea duodecim cubitorum ambiebat columnam utramque.(vulgate) 15 ׃7 וַיָּ֛צַר אֶת־שְׁנֵ֥י הָעַמּוּדִ֖ים נְחֹ֑שֶׁת שְׁמֹנֶ֨ה עֶשְׂרֵ֜ה אַמָּ֗ה קוֹמַת֙ הָעַמּ֣וּד הָאֶחָ֔ד וְחוּט֙ שְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה אַמָּ֔ה יָסֹ֖ב אֶת־הָעַמּ֥וּד הַשֵּׁנִֽי׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:15 Und machte zwei eherne Säulen, eine jegliche achtzehn Ellen hoch, und ein Faden von zwölf Ellen war das Maß um jegliche Säule her.(dhs) 1Ki 7:15 And he cast two pillars of bronze, each one eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits measured the circumference of each.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 7:16 ============ 1Ki 7:16 He also made two capitals of molten bronze to set on the tops of the pillars; the height of the one capital was five cubits and the height of the other capital was five cubits.(nas) 1Ki 7:16 καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ συγκλείσματα αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ἐξεχομένων λέοντες καὶ βόες καὶ χερουβιν καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ἐξεχομένων οὕτως καὶ ἐπάνωθεν καὶ ὑποκάτωθεν τῶν λεόντων καὶ τῶν βοῶν χῶραι ἔργον καταβάσεως (lxx) 1Ki 7:16 Duo quoque capitella fecit, quæ ponerentur super capita columnarum, fusilia ex ære: quinque cubitorum altitudinis capitellum unum, et quinque cubitorum altitudinis capitellum alterum:(vulgate) 16 ׃7 וּשְׁתֵּ֨י כֹתָרֹ֜ת עָשָׂ֗ה לָתֵ֛ת עַל־רָאשֵׁ֥י הָֽעַמּוּדִ֖ים מֻצַ֣ק נְחֹ֑שֶׁת חָמֵ֣שׁ אַמּ֗וֹת קוֹמַת֙ הַכֹּתֶ֣רֶת הָאֶחָ֔ת וְחָמֵ֣שׁ אַמּ֔וֹת קוֹמַ֖ת הַכֹּתֶ֥רֶת הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ Kings1 1Ki 7:16 Und machte zwei Knäufe, von Erz gegossen, oben auf die Säulen zu setzen und ein jeglicher Knauf war fünf Ellen hoch.(dhs) 1Ki 7:16 Then he made two capitals of cast bronze, to set on the tops of the pillars.
