Why do You hide in times of trouble?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:2 ============ Psa 10:2 In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.(nas) Psa 10:2 ἐν τῷ ὑπερηφανεύεσθαι τὸν ἀσεβῆ ἐμπυρίζεται ὁ πτωχός συλλαμβάνονται ἐν διαβουλίοις οἷς διαλογίζονται (lxx) Psa 10:2 [Vulgate 9:23] in superbia impii ardet pauper capiantur in sceleribus quae cogitaverunt(vulgate) 2 ׃10 בְּגַאֲוַ֣ת רָ֭שָׁע יִדְלַ֣ק עָנִ֑י יִתָּפְשׂ֓וּ ׀ בִּמְזִמּ֖וֹת ז֣וּ חָשָֽׁבוּ׃ Psalms Psa 10:2 Weil der Gottlose Übermut treibt, muß der Elende leiden; sie hängen sich aneinander und erdenken böse Tücke.(dhs) Psa 10:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:3 ============ Psa 10:3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire, And the greedy man curses and spurns the Lord.(nas) Psa 10:3 ὅτι ἐπαινεῖται ὁ ἁμαρτωλὸς ἐν ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ ἀδικῶν ἐνευλογεῖται (lxx) Psa 10:3 [Vulgate 9:24] quia laudavit impius desiderium animae suae et avarus adplaudens sibi(vulgate) 3 ׃10 כִּֽי־הִלֵּ֣ל רָ֭שָׁע עַל־תַּאֲוַ֣ת נַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּבֹצֵ֥עַ בֵּ֝רֵ֗ךְ נִ֘אֵ֥ץ ׀ יְהוָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 10:3 Denn der Gottlose rühmt sich seines Mutwillens, und der Geizige sagt dem Herrn ab und lästert ihn.(dhs) Psa 10:3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:4 ============ Psa 10:4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, "There is no God."(nas) Psa 10:4 παρώξυνεν τὸν κύριον ὁ ἁμαρτωλός κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῆς ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐκζητήσει οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ θεὸς ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 10:4 [Vulgate 9:25] blasphemavit Dominum impius secundum altitudinem furoris sui non requiret(vulgate) 4 ׃10 רָשָׁ֗ע כְּגֹ֣בַהּ אַ֭פּוֹ בַּל־יִדְרֹ֑שׁ אֵ֥ין אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים כָּל־מְזִמּוֹתָֽיו׃ Psalms Psa 10:4 Der Gottlose meint in seinem Stolz, er frage nicht darnach; in allen seinen Tücken hält er Gott für nichts.(dhs) Psa 10:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:5 ============ Psa 10:5 His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.(nas) Psa 10:5 βεβηλοῦνται αἱ ὁδοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ ἀνταναιρεῖται τὰ κρίματά σου ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ κατακυριεύσει (lxx) Psa 10:5 [Vulgate 9:26] nec est Deus in omnibus cogitationibus eius parturiunt viae eius in omni tempore longe sunt iudicia tua a facie eius omnes inimicos suos dispicit(vulgate) 5 ׃10 יָ֘חִ֤ילוּ *דרכו **דְרָכָ֨יו ׀ בְּכָל־עֵ֗ת מָר֣וֹם מִ֭שְׁפָּטֶיךָ מִנֶּגְדּ֑וֹ כָּל־צ֝וֹרְרָ֗יו יָפִ֥יחַ בָּהֶֽם׃ Psalms Psa 10:5 Er fährt fort mit seinem Tun immerdar; deine Gerichte sind ferne von ihm; er handelt trotzig mit allen seinen Feinden.(dhs) Psa 10:5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:6 ============ Psa 10:6 He says to himself, "I will not be moved; Throughout all generations I will not be in adversity."(nas) Psa 10:6 εἶπεν γὰρ ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ σαλευθῶ ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεὰν ἄνευ κακοῦ (lxx) Psa 10:6 [Vulgate 9:27] loquitur in corde suo non movebor in generatione et generatione ero sine malo(vulgate) 6 ׃10 אָמַ֣ר בְּ֭לִבּוֹ בַּל־אֶמּ֑וֹט לְדֹ֥ר וָ֝דֹ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־בְרָֽע׃ Psalms Psa 10:6 Er spricht in seinem Herzen: Ich werde nimmermehr darniederliegen; es wird für und für keine Not haben.(dhs) Psa 10:6 He has said in his heart, "I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:7 ============ Psa 10:7 His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.(nas) Psa 10:7 οὗ ἀρᾶς τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ γέμει καὶ πικρίας καὶ δόλου ὑπὸ τὴν γλῶσσαν αὐτοῦ κόπος καὶ πόνος (lxx) Psa 10:7 [Vulgate 9:28] maledictione os eius plenum est et dolis et avaritia sub lingua eius dolor et iniquitas(vulgate) 7 ׃10 אָלָ֤ה ׀ פִּ֣יהוּ מָ֭לֵא וּמִרְמ֣וֹת וָתֹ֑ךְ תַּ֥חַת לְ֝שׁוֹנ֗וֹ עָמָ֥ל וָאָֽוֶן׃ Psalms Psa 10:7 Sein Mund ist voll Fluchens, Falschheit und Trugs; seine Zunge richtet Mühe und Arbeit an.(dhs) Psa 10:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:8 ============ Psa 10:8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the hiding places he kills the innocent; His eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.(nas) Psa 10:8 ἐγκάθηται ἐνέδρᾳ μετὰ πλουσίων ἐν ἀποκρύφοις ἀποκτεῖναι ἀθῷον οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν πένητα ἀποβλέπουσιν (lxx) Psa 10:8 [Vulgate 9:29] sedet insidians iuxta vestibula in absconditis ut interficiat innocentem(vulgate) 8 ׃10 יֵשֵׁ֤ב ׀ בְּמַאְרַ֬ב חֲצֵרִ֗ים בַּֽ֭מִּסְתָּרִים יַהֲרֹ֣ג נָקִ֑י עֵ֝ינָ֗יו לְֽחֵלְכָ֥ה יִצְפֹּֽנוּ׃ Psalms Psa 10:8 Er sitzt und lauert in den Dörfern; er erwürgt die Unschuldigen heimlich; seine Augen spähen nach dem Armen.(dhs) Psa 10:8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:9 ============ Psa 10:9 He lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair; He lurks to catch the afflicted; He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net.(nas) Psa 10:9 ἐνεδρεύει ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ ὡς λέων ἐν τῇ μάνδρᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐνεδρεύει τοῦ ἁρπάσαι πτωχόν ἁρπάσαι πτωχὸν ἐν τῷ ἑλκύσαι αὐτόν (lxx) Psa 10:9 [Vulgate 9:30] oculi eius robustos tuos circumspiciunt insidiatur in abscondito quasi leo in cubili insidiatur ut rapiat pauperem rapiet pauperem cum adtraxerit eum ad rete suum(vulgate) 9 ׃10 יֶאֱרֹ֬ב בַּמִּסְתָּ֨ר ׀ כְּאַרְיֵ֬ה בְסֻכֹּ֗ה יֶ֭אֱרֹב לַחֲט֣וֹף עָנִ֑י יַחְטֹ֥ף עָ֝נִ֗י בְּמָשְׁכ֥וֹ בְרִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 10:9 Er lauert im Verborgenen wie ein Löwe in der Höhle; er lauert, daß er den Elenden erhasche, und er hascht ihn, wenn er ihn in sein Netz zieht.(dhs) Psa 10:9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:10 ============ Psa 10:10 He crouches, he bows down, And the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones.(nas) Psa 10:10 ἐν τῇ παγίδι αὐτοῦ ταπεινώσει αὐτόν κύψει καὶ πεσεῖται ἐν τῷ αὐτὸν κατακυριεῦσαι τῶν πενήτων (lxx) Psa 10:10 [Vulgate 9:31] et confractum subiciet et inruet viribus suis valenter(vulgate) 10 ׃10 *ודכה **יִדְכֶּ֥ה יָשֹׁ֑חַ וְנָפַ֥ל בַּ֝עֲצוּמָּ֗יו *חלכאים **חֵ֣יל **כָּאִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 10:10 Er zerschlägt und drückt nieder und stößt zu Boden den Armen mit Gewalt.(dhs) Psa 10:10 So he crouches, he lies low, That the helpless may fall by his strength.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:11 ============ Psa 10:11 He says to himself, "God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it."(nas) Psa 10:11 εἶπεν γὰρ ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐπιλέλησται ὁ θεός ἀπέστρεψεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ βλέπειν εἰς τέλος (lxx) Psa 10:11 [Vulgate 9:32] dixit in corde suo oblitus est Deus abscondit faciem suam non respiciet in perpetuum(vulgate) 11 ׃10 אָמַ֣ר בְּ֭לִבּוֹ שָׁ֣כַֽח אֵ֑ל הִסְתִּ֥יר פָּ֝נָ֗יו בַּל־רָאָ֥ה לָנֶֽצַח׃ Psalms Psa 10:11 Er spricht in seinem Herzen: Gott hat's vergessen; er hat sein Antlitz verborgen, er wird's nimmermehr sehen.(dhs) Psa 10:11 He has said in his heart, "God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:12 ============ Psa 10:12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted.(nas) Psa 10:12 ἀνάστηθι κύριε ὁ θεός ὑψωθήτω ἡ χείρ σου μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ τῶν πενήτων (lxx) Psa 10:12 [Vulgate 9:33] surge Domine Deus leva manum tuam noli oblivisci pauperum(vulgate) 12 ׃10 קוּמָ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה אֵ֭ל נְשָׂ֣א יָדֶ֑ךָ אַל־תִּשְׁכַּ֥ח *עניים **עֲנָוֽ͏ִים׃ Psalms Psa 10:12 Stehe auf, HERR; Gott, erhebe deine Hand; vergiß der Elenden nicht!(dhs) Psa 10:12 Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:13 ============ Psa 10:13 Why has the wicked spurned God? He has said in his heart, "You will not require an account."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 10:14 ============ Psa 10:14 You have seen it, for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan.(nas) Psa 10:14 βλέπεις ὅτι σὺ πόνον καὶ θυμὸν κατανοεῖς τοῦ παραδοῦναι αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖράς σου σοὶ οὖν ἐγκαταλέλειπται ὁ πτωχός ὀρφανῷ σὺ ἦσθα βοηθῶν (lxx) Psa 10:14 [Vulgate 9:35] vides quia tu laborem et furorem respicis ut detur in manu tua tibi relinquuntur fortes tui pupillo tu es factus adiutor(vulgate) 14 ׃10 רָאִ֡תָה כִּֽי־אַתָּ֤ה ׀ עָ֘מָ֤ל וָכַ֨עַס ׀ תַּבִּיט֮ לָתֵ֢ת בְּיָ֫דֶ֥ךָ עָ֭לֶיךָ יַעֲזֹ֣ב חֵלֶ֑כָה יָ֝ת֗וֹם אַתָּ֤ה ׀ הָיִ֬יתָ עוֹזֵֽר׃ Psalms Psa 10:14 Du siehest ja, denn du schauest das Elend und den Jammer; es steht in deinen Händen. Die Armen befehlens's dir; du bist der Waisen Helfer.(dhs) Psa 10:14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand.
