For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:2 ============ Psa 12:2 They speak falsehood to one another; With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak.(nas) Psa 12:2 σῶσόν με κύριε ὅτι ἐκλέλοιπεν ὅσιος ὅτι ὠλιγώθησαν αἱ ἀλήθειαι ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Psa 12:2 [Vulgate 11:3] frustra loquuntur unusquisque proximo suo labium subdolum in corde et corde locuti sunt(vulgate) 2 ׃12 2 ׃12 הוֹשִׁיעָה יְ֭הוָה כִּי־גָמַ֣ר חָסִ֑יד כִּי־פַ֥סּוּ אֱ֝מוּנִ֗ים מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 12:2 Einer redet mit dem andern unnütze Dinge; sie heucheln und lehren aus uneinigem Herzen.(dhs) Psa 12:2 They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:3 ============ Psa 12:3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things;(nas) Psa 12:3 μάταια ἐλάλησεν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ χείλη δόλια ἐν καρδίᾳ καὶ ἐν καρδίᾳ ἐλάλησαν (lxx) Psa 12:3 [Vulgate 11:4] disperdat Dominus omnia labia dolosa linguam magniloquam(vulgate) 4 ׃12 יַכְרֵ֣ת יְ֭הוָה כָּל־שִׂפְתֵ֣י חֲלָק֑וֹת לָ֝שׁ֗וֹן מְדַבֶּ֥רֶת גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃ Psalms Psa 12:3 Der HERR wolle ausrotten alle Heuchelei und die Zunge, die da stolz redet,(dhs) Psa 12:3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:4 ============ Psa 12:4 Who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?"(nas) Psa 12:4 ἐξολεθρεύσαι κύριος πάντα τὰ χείλη τὰ δόλια καὶ γλῶσσαν μεγαλορήμονα (lxx) Psa 12:4 [Vulgate 11:5] qui dixerunt linguam nostram roboremus labia nostra nobiscum sunt quis dominus noster est(vulgate) 5 ׃12 אֲשֶׁ֤ר אָֽמְר֨וּ ׀ לִלְשֹׁנֵ֣נוּ נַ֭גְבִּיר שְׂפָתֵ֣ינוּ אִתָּ֑נוּ מִ֖י אָד֣וֹן לָֽנוּ׃ Psalms Psa 12:4 die da sagen: Unsere Zunge soll Oberhand haben, uns gebührt zu reden; wer ist unser HERR?(dhs) Psa 12:4 Who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:5 ============ Psa 12:5 "Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise," says the Lord; "I will set him in the safety for which he longs."(nas) Psa 12:5 τοὺς εἰπόντας τὴν γλῶσσαν ἡμῶν μεγαλυνοῦμεν τὰ χείλη ἡμῶν παρ᾽ ἡμῶν ἐστιν τίς ἡμῶν κύριός ἐστιν (lxx) Psa 12:5 [Vulgate 11:6] propter vastitatem inopum et gemitum pauperum nunc consurgam dicit Dominus ponam in salutari auxilium eorum(vulgate) 6 ׃12 מִשֹּׁ֥ד עֲנִיִּים֮ מֵאַנְקַ֢ת אֶבְי֫וֹנִ֥ים עַתָּ֣ה אָ֭קוּם יֹאמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה אָשִׁ֥ית בְּ֝יֵ֗שַׁע יָפִ֥יחַֽ לֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 12:5 Weil denn die Elenden verstört werden und die Armen seufzen, will ich auf, spricht der HERR; ich will Hilfe schaffen dem, der sich darnach sehnt.(dhs) Psa 12:5 "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise," says the Lord; "I will set him in the safety for which he yearns."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:6 ============ Psa 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.(nas) Psa 12:6 ἀπὸ τῆς ταλαιπωρίας τῶν πτωχῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ στεναγμοῦ τῶν πενήτων νῦν ἀναστήσομαι λέγει κύριος θήσομαι ἐν σωτηρίᾳ παρρησιάσομαι ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) Psa 12:6 [Vulgate 11:7] eloquia Domini eloquia munda argentum igne probatum separatum a terra colatum septuplum(vulgate) 7 ׃12 אִֽמֲר֣וֹת יְהוָה֮ אֲמָר֢וֹת טְהֹ֫ר֥וֹת כֶּ֣סֶף צָ֭רוּף בַּעֲלִ֣יל לָאָ֑רֶץ מְ֝זֻקָּ֗ק שִׁבְעָתָֽיִם׃ Psalms Psa 12:6 Die Rede des HERRN ist lauter wie durchläutert Silber im irdenen Tiegel, bewähret siebenmal.(dhs) Psa 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:7 ============ Psa 12:7 You, O Lord, will keep them; You will preserve him from this generation forever.(nas) Psa 12:7 τὰ λόγια κυρίου λόγια ἁγνά ἀργύριον πεπυρωμένον δοκίμιον τῇ γῇ κεκαθαρισμένον ἑπταπλασίως (lxx) Psa 12:7 [Vulgate 11:8] tu Domine custodies ea servabis nos a generatione hac in aeternum(vulgate) 8 ׃12 אַתָּֽה־יְהוָ֥ה תִּשְׁמְרֵ֑ם תִּצְּרֶ֓נּוּ ׀ מִן־הַדּ֖וֹר ז֣וּ לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 12:7 Du, HERR, wollest sie bewahren und uns behüten vor diesem Geschlecht ewiglich!(dhs) Psa 12:7 You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:8 ============ Psa 12:8 The wicked strut about on every side When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.(nas) Psa 12:8 σύ κύριε φυλάξεις ἡμᾶς καὶ διατηρήσεις ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κύκλῳ οἱ ἀσεβεῖς περιπατοῦσιν κατὰ τὸ ὕψος σου ἐπολυώρησας τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Psa 12:8 [Vulgate 11:9] in circuitu impii ambulabunt cum exaltati fuerint vilissimi filiorum hominum(vulgate) 9 ׃12 סָבִ֗יב רְשָׁעִ֥ים יִתְהַלָּכ֑וּן כְּרֻ֥ם זֻ֝לּ֗וּת לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 12:8 Denn es wird allenthalben voll Gottloser, wo solche nichtswürdige Leute unter den Menschen herrschen.(dhs) Psa 12:8 The wicked prowl on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 13:1 ============ top of the page
