In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain"?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:2 ============ Psa 11:2 For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.(nas) Psa 11:2 ὅτι ἰδοὺ οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐνέτειναν τόξον ἡτοίμασαν βέλη εἰς φαρέτραν τοῦ κατατοξεῦσαι ἐν σκοτομήνῃ τοὺς εὐθεῖς τῇ καρδίᾳ (lxx) Psa 11:2 [Vulgate 10:3] quia ecce impii tetenderunt arcum posuerunt sagittam suam super nervum ut sagittent in abscondito rectos corde(vulgate) 2 ׃11 כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה הָרְשָׁעִ֡ים יִדְרְכ֬וּן קֶ֗שֶׁת כּוֹנְנ֣וּ חִצָּ֣ם עַל־יֶ֑תֶר לִיר֥וֹת בְּמוֹ־אֹ֝֗פֶל לְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ Psalms Psa 11:2 Denn siehe, die Gottlosen spannen den Bogen und legen ihre Pfeile auf die Sehnen, damit heimlich zu schießen die Frommen.(dhs) Psa 11:2 For look! The wicked bend their bow, They make ready their arrow on the string, That they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:3 ============ Psa 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?"(nas) Psa 11:3 ὅτι ἃ κατηρτίσω καθεῖλον ὁ δὲ δίκαιος τί ἐποίησεν (lxx) Psa 11:3 [Vulgate 10:4] quia leges dissipatae sunt iustus quid operatus est(vulgate) 3 ׃11 כִּ֣י הַ֭שָּׁתוֹת יֵֽהָרֵס֑וּן צַ֝דִּ֗יק מַה־פָּעָֽל׃ Psalms Psa 11:3 Denn sie reißen den Grund um; was sollte der Gerechte ausrichten?(dhs) Psa 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:4 ============ Psa 11:4 The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.(nas) Psa 11:4 κύριος ἐν ναῷ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ κύριος ἐν οὐρανῷ ὁ θρόνος αὐτοῦ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν πένητα ἀποβλέπουσιν τὰ βλέφαρα αὐτοῦ ἐξετάζει τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Psa 11:4 [Vulgate 10:5] Dominus in templo sancto suo Dominus in caelo thronus eius oculi eius vident palpebrae eius probant filios hominum(vulgate) 4 ׃11 יְהוָ֤ה ׀ בְּֽהֵ֘יכַ֤ל קָדְשׁ֗וֹ יְהוָה֮ בַּשָּׁמַ֢יִם כִּ֫סְא֥וֹ עֵינָ֥יו יֶחֱז֑וּ עַפְעַפָּ֥יו יִ֝בְחֲנ֗וּ בְּנֵ֣י אָדָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 11:4 Der HERR ist in seinem heiligen Tempel, des HERRN Stuhl ist im Himmel; seine Augen sehen darauf, seine Augenlider prüfen die Menschenkinder.(dhs) Psa 11:4 The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:5 ============ Psa 11:5 The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.(nas) Psa 11:5 κύριος ἐξετάζει τὸν δίκαιον καὶ τὸν ἀσεβῆ ὁ δὲ ἀγαπῶν ἀδικίαν μισεῖ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ψυχήν (lxx) Psa 11:5 [Vulgate 10:6] Dominus iustum probat impium autem et diligentem iniquitatem odit anima eius(vulgate) 5 ׃11 יְהוָה֮ צַדִּ֢יק יִ֫בְחָ֥ן וְ֭רָשָׁע וְאֹהֵ֣ב חָמָ֑ס שָֽׂנְאָ֥ה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 11:5 Der HERR prüft den Gerechten; seine Seele haßt den Gottlosen und die gerne freveln.(dhs) Psa 11:5 The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:6 ============ Psa 11:6 Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.(nas) Psa 11:6 ἐπιβρέξει ἐπὶ ἁμαρτωλοὺς παγίδας πῦρ καὶ θεῖον καὶ πνεῦμα καταιγίδος ἡ μερὶς τοῦ ποτηρίου αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 11:6 [Vulgate 10:7] pluet super peccatores laqueos ignis et sulphur et spiritus tempestatum pars calicis eorum(vulgate) 6 ׃11 יַמְטֵ֥ר עַל־רְשָׁעִ֗ים פַּ֫חִ֥ים אֵ֣שׁ וְ֭גָפְרִית וְר֥וּחַ זִלְעָפ֗וֹת מְנָ֣ת כּוֹסָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 11:6 Er wird regnen lassen über die Gottlosen Blitze, Feuer und Schwefel und wird ihnen ein Wetter zum Lohn geben.(dhs) Psa 11:6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 11:7 ============ Psa 11:7 For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face.(nas) Psa 11:7 ὅτι δίκαιος κύριος καὶ δικαιοσύνας ἠγάπησεν εὐθύτητα εἶδεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 11:7 [Vulgate 10:8] quoniam iustus Dominus iustitias dilexit rectum videbunt facies eorum(vulgate) 7 ׃11 כִּֽי־צַדִּ֣יק יְ֭הוָה צְדָק֣וֹת אָהֵ֑ב יָ֝שָׁ֗ר יֶחֱז֥וּ פָנֵֽימוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 11:7 Der HERR ist gerecht und hat Gerechtigkeit lieb; die Frommen werden schauen sein Angesicht.(dhs) Psa 11:7 For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 12:1 ============ top of the page
