My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:2 ============ Psa 45:2 You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.(nas) Psa 45:2 ἐξηρεύξατο ἡ καρδία μου λόγον ἀγαθόν λέγω ἐγὼ τὰ ἔργα μου τῷ βασιλεῖ ἡ γλῶσσά μου κάλαμος γραμματέως ὀξυγράφου (lxx) Psa 45:2 [Vulgate 44:3] decore pulchrior es filiis hominum effusa est gratia in labiis tuis propterea benedixit tibi Deus in aeternum(vulgate) 3 ׃45 יָפְיָפִ֡יתָ מִבְּנֵ֬י אָדָ֗ם ה֣וּצַק חֵ֭ן בְּשְׂפְתוֹתֶ֑יךָ עַל־כֵּ֤ן בֵּֽרַכְךָ֖ אֱלֹהִ֣ים לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 45:2 Du bist der Schönste unter den Menschenkindern, holdselig sind deine Lippen; darum segnet dich Gott ewiglich.(dhs) Psa 45:2 You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:3 ============ Psa 45:3 Gird Your sword on Your thigh, O Mighty One, In Your splendor and Your majesty!(nas) Psa 45:3 ὡραῖος κάλλει παρὰ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐξεχύθη χάρις ἐν χείλεσίν σου διὰ τοῦτο εὐλόγησέν σε ὁ θεὸς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα (lxx) Psa 45:3 [Vulgate 44:4] accingere gladio tuo super femur fortissime(vulgate) 4 ׃45 חֲגֽוֹר־חַרְבְּךָ֣ עַל־יָרֵ֣ךְ גִּבּ֑וֹר ה֝וֹדְךָ֗ וַהֲדָרֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 45:3 Gürte dein Schwert an deine Seite, du Held, und schmücke dich schön!(dhs) Psa 45:3 Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:4 ============ Psa 45:4 And in Your majesty ride on victoriously, For the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; Let Your right hand teach You awesome things.(nas) Psa 45:4 περίζωσαι τὴν ῥομφαίαν σου ἐπὶ τὸν μηρόν σου δυνατέ τῇ ὡραιότητί σου καὶ τῷ κάλλει σου (lxx) Psa 45:4 [Vulgate 44:5] gloria tua et decore tuo decore tuo prospere ascende propter veritatem et mansuetudinem iustitiae et docebit te terribilia dextera tua(vulgate) 5 ׃45 וַהֲדָ֬רְךָ֨ ׀ צְלַ֬ח רְכַ֗ב עַֽל־דְּבַר־אֱ֭מֶת וְעַנְוָה־צֶ֑דֶק וְתוֹרְךָ֖ נוֹרָא֣וֹת יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 45:4 Es müsse dir gelingen in deinem Schmuck. Zieh einher der Wahrheit zugut, und die Elenden bei Recht zu erhalten, so wird deine rechte Hand Wunder vollbringen.(dhs) Psa 45:4 And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:5 ============ Psa 45:5 Your arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under You; Your arrows are in the heart of the King's enemies.(nas) Psa 45:5 καὶ ἔντεινον καὶ κατευοδοῦ καὶ βασίλευε ἕνεκεν ἀληθείας καὶ πραΰτητος καὶ δικαιοσύνης καὶ ὁδηγήσει σε θαυμαστῶς ἡ δεξιά σου (lxx) Psa 45:5 [Vulgate 44:6] sagittae tuae acutae populi sub te cadent in corde inimicorum regis(vulgate) 6 ׃45 חִצֶּ֗יךָ שְׁנ֫וּנִ֥ים עַ֭מִּים תַּחְתֶּ֣יךָ יִפְּל֑וּ בְּ֝לֵ֗ב אוֹיְבֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ Psalms Psa 45:5 Scharf sind deine Pfeile, daß die Völker vor dir niederfallen; sie dringen ins Herz der Feinde des Königs.(dhs) Psa 45:5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The peoples fall under You.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:6 ============ Psa 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.(nas) Psa 45:6 τὰ βέλη σου ἠκονημένα δυνατέ λαοὶ ὑποκάτω σου πεσοῦνται ἐν καρδίᾳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) Psa 45:6 [Vulgate 44:7] thronus tuus Deus in saeculum et in aeternum sceptrum aequitatis sceptrum regni tui(vulgate) 7 ׃45 כִּסְאֲךָ֣ אֱ֭לֹהִים עוֹלָ֣ם וָעֶ֑ד שֵׁ֥בֶט מִ֝ישֹׁ֗ר שֵׁ֣בֶט מַלְכוּתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 45:6 Gott, dein Stuhl bleibt immer und ewig; das Zepter deines Reiches ist ein gerades Zepter.(dhs) Psa 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:7 ============ Psa 45:7 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your fellows.(nas) Psa 45:7 ὁ θρόνος σου ὁ θεός εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος ῥάβδος εὐθύτητος ἡ ῥάβδος τῆς βασιλείας σου (lxx) Psa 45:7 [Vulgate 44:8] dilexisti iustitiam et odisti iniquitatem propterea unxit te Deus Deus tuus oleo exultationis prae participibus tuis(vulgate) 8 ׃45 אָהַ֣בְתָּ צֶּדֶק֮ וַתִּשְׂנָ֫א רֶ֥שַׁע עַל־כֵּ֤ן ׀ מְשָׁחֲךָ֡ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֱ֭לֹהֶיךָ שֶׁ֥מֶן שָׂשׂ֗וֹן מֵֽחֲבֵרֶֽיךָ׃ Psalms Psa 45:7 Du liebest die Gerechtigkeit und hassest gottlos Wesen; darum hat dich Gott, dein Gott, gesalbt mit Freudenöl mehr denn deine Gesellen.(dhs) Psa 45:7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:8 ============ Psa 45:8 All Your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made You glad.(nas) Psa 45:8 ἠγάπησας δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἐμίσησας ἀνομίαν διὰ τοῦτο ἔχρισέν σε ὁ θεὸς ὁ θεός σου ἔλαιον ἀγαλλιάσεως παρὰ τοὺς μετόχους σου (lxx) Psa 45:8 [Vulgate 44:9] zmyrna et stacte et cassia in cunctis vestimentis tuis de domibus eburneis quibus laetificaverunt te(vulgate) 9 ׃45 מֹר־וַאֲהָל֣וֹת קְ֭צִיעוֹת כָּל־בִּגְדֹתֶ֑יךָ מִֽן־הֵ֥יכְלֵי שֵׁ֝֗ן מִנִּ֥י שִׂמְּחֽוּךָ׃ Psalms Psa 45:8 Deine Kleider sind eitel Myrrhe, Aloe und Kassia, wenn du aus den elfenbeinernen Palästen dahertrittst in deiner schönen Pracht.(dhs) Psa 45:8 All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:9 ============ Psa 45:9 Kings' daughters are among Your noble ladies; At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.(nas) Psa 45:9 σμύρνα καὶ στακτὴ καὶ κασία ἀπὸ τῶν ἱματίων σου ἀπὸ βάρεων ἐλεφαντίνων ἐξ ὧν ηὔφρανάν σε (lxx) Psa 45:9 [Vulgate 44:10] filiae regum in honore tuo stetit coniux in dextera tua in diademate aureo(vulgate) 10 ׃45 בְּנ֣וֹת מְ֭לָכִים בְּיִקְּרוֹתֶ֑יךָ נִצְּבָ֥ה שֵׁגַ֥ל לִֽ֝ימִינְךָ֗ בְּכֶ֣תֶם אוֹפִֽיר׃ Psalms Psa 45:9 In deinem Schmuck gehen der Könige Töchter; die Braut steht zu deiner Rechten in eitel köstlichem Gold.(dhs) Psa 45:9 Kings' daughters are among Your honorable women; At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:10 ============ Psa 45:10 Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father's house;(nas) Psa 45:10 θυγατέρες βασιλέων ἐν τῇ τιμῇ σου παρέστη ἡ βασίλισσα ἐκ δεξιῶν σου ἐν ἱματισμῷ διαχρύσῳ περιβεβλημένη πεποικιλμένη (lxx) Psa 45:10 [Vulgate 44:11] audi filia et vide et inclina aurem tuam et obliviscere populi tui et domus patris tui(vulgate) 11 ׃45 שִׁמְעִי־בַ֣ת וּ֭רְאִי וְהַטִּ֣י אָזְנֵ֑ךְ וְשִׁכְחִ֥י עַ֝מֵּ֗ךְ וּבֵ֥ית אָבִֽיךְ׃ Psalms Psa 45:10 Höre, Tochter, sieh und neige deine Ohren; vergiß deines Volkes und Vaterhauses,(dhs) Psa 45:10 Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father's house;(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:11 ============ Psa 45:11 Then the King will desire your beauty. Because He is your Lord, bow down to Him.(nas) Psa 45:11 ἄκουσον θύγατερ καὶ ἰδὲ καὶ κλῖνον τὸ οὖς σου καὶ ἐπιλάθου τοῦ λαοῦ σου καὶ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ πατρός σου (lxx) Psa 45:11 [Vulgate 44:12] et concupiscet rex decorem tuum quia ipse est dominus tuus et adora eum(vulgate) 12 ׃45 וְיִתְאָ֣ו הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יָפְיֵ֑ךְ כִּי־ה֥וּא אֲ֝דֹנַ֗יִךְ וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוִי־לֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 45:11 so wird der König Lust an deiner Schöne haben; denn er ist dein HERR, und ihn sollst du anbeten.(dhs) Psa 45:11 So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:12 ============ Psa 45:12 The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favor.(nas) Psa 45:12 ὅτι ἐπεθύμησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῦ κάλλους σου ὅτι αὐτός ἐστιν ὁ κύριός σου (lxx) Psa 45:12 [Vulgate 44:13] et o filia fortissimi in muneribus faciem tuam deprecabuntur divites populi(vulgate) 13 ׃45 וּבַֽת־צֹ֨ר ׀ בְּ֭מִנְחָה פָּנַ֥יִךְ יְחַלּ֗וּ עֲשִׁ֣ירֵי עָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 45:12 Die Tochter Tyrus wird mit Geschenk dasein; die Reichen im Volk werden vor dir flehen.(dhs) Psa 45:12 And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favor.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:13 ============ Psa 45:13 The King's daughter is all glorious within; Her clothing is interwoven with gold.(nas) Psa 45:13 καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν αὐτῷ θυγατέρες Τύρου ἐν δώροις τὸ πρόσωπόν σου λιτανεύσουσιν οἱ πλούσιοι τοῦ λαοῦ (lxx) Psa 45:13 [Vulgate 44:14] omnis gloria filiae regis intrinsecus fasceis aureis vestita est(vulgate) 14 ׃45 כָּל־כְּבוּדָּ֣ה בַת־מֶ֣לֶךְ פְּנִ֑ימָה מִֽמִּשְׁבְּצ֖וֹת זָהָ֣ב לְבוּשָֽׁהּ׃ Psalms Psa 45:13 Des Königs Tochter drinnen ist ganz herrlich; sie ist mit goldenen Gewändern gekleidet.(dhs) Psa 45:13 The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:14 ============ Psa 45:14 She will be led to the King in embroidered work; The virgins, her companions who follow her, Will be brought to You.(nas) Psa 45:14 πᾶσα ἡ δόξα αὐτῆς θυγατρὸς βασιλέως ἔσωθεν ἐν κροσσωτοῖς χρυσοῖς περιβεβλημένη πεποικιλμένη (lxx) Psa 45:14 [Vulgate 44:15] in scutulatis ducetur ad regem virgines sequentur eam amicae eius ducentur illuc(vulgate) 15 ׃45 לִרְקָמוֹת֮ תּוּבַ֢ל לַ֫מֶּ֥לֶךְ בְּתוּל֣וֹת אַ֭חֲרֶיהָ רֵעוֹתֶ֑יהָ מ֖וּבָא֣וֹת לָֽךְ׃ Psalms Psa 45:14 Man führt sie in gestickten Kleidern zum König; und ihre Gespielen, die Jungfrauen, die ihr nachgehen, führt man zu dir.(dhs) Psa 45:14 She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colors; The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:15 ============ Psa 45:15 They will be led forth with gladness and rejoicing; They will enter into the King's palace.(nas) Psa 45:15 ἀπενεχθήσονται τῷ βασιλεῖ παρθένοι ὀπίσω αὐτῆς αἱ πλησίον αὐτῆς ἀπενεχθήσονταί σοι (lxx) Psa 45:15 [Vulgate 44:16] ducentur in laetitiis et exultatione ingredientur thalamum regis(vulgate) 16 ׃45 תּ֭וּבַלְנָה בִּשְׂמָחֹ֣ת וָגִ֑יל תְּ֝בֹאֶ֗ינָה בְּהֵ֣יכַל מֶֽלֶךְ׃ Psalms Psa 45:15 Man führt sie mit Freuden und Wonne, und sie gehen in des Königs Palast.(dhs) Psa 45:15 With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought; They shall enter the King's palace.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:16 ============ Psa 45:16 In place of your fathers will be your sons; You shall make them princes in all the earth.(nas) Psa 45:16 ἀπενεχθήσονται ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ καὶ ἀγαλλιάσει ἀχθήσονται εἰς ναὸν βασιλέως (lxx) Psa 45:16 [Vulgate 44:17] pro patribus tuis erunt filii tibi pones eos principes in universa terra(vulgate) 17 ׃45 תַּ֣חַת אֲ֭בֹתֶיךָ יִהְי֣וּ בָנֶ֑יךָ תְּשִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ לְ֝שָׂרִ֗ים בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 45:16 An deiner Väter Statt werden deine Söhne sein; die wirst du zu Fürsten setzen in aller Welt.(dhs) Psa 45:16 Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons, Whom You shall make princes in all the earth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 45:17 ============ Psa 45:17 I will cause Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the peoples will give You thanks forever and ever.(nas) Psa 45:17 μνησθήσονται τοῦ ὀνόματός σου ἐν πάσῃ γενεᾷ καὶ γενεᾷ διὰ τοῦτο λαοὶ ἐξομολογήσονταί σοι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος (lxx) Psa 45:17 [Vulgate 44:18] recordabor nominis tui in omni generatione et generatione propterea populi confitebuntur tibi in saeculum et in aeternum(vulgate) 18 ׃45 אַזְכִּ֣ירָה שִׁ֭מְךָ בְּכָל־דֹּ֣ר וָדֹ֑ר עַל־כֵּ֥ן עַמִּ֥ים יְ֝הוֹדֻ֗ךָ לְעֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ Psalms Psa 45:17 Ich will deines Namens gedenken von Kind zu Kindeskind; darum werden dir danken die Völker immer und ewiglich.(dhs) Psa 45:17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:1 ============ top of the page
