Today's Date: ======= Zechariah 4:1 ============ Zec 4:1 Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and roused me, as a man who is awakened from his sleep.(nas) Zec 4:1 καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἐξήγειρέν με ὃν τρόπον ὅταν ἐξεγερθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ὕπνου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Zec 4:1 Et reversus est angelus qui loquebatur in me, et suscitavit me quasi virum qui suscitatur de somno suo.(vulgate) 1 ׃4 וַיָּ֕שָׁב הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֑י וַיְעִירֵ֕נִי כְּאִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יֵע֥וֹר מִשְּׁנָתֽוֹ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:1 Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, kam wieder und weckte mich auf, wie einer vom Schlaf erweckt wird,(dhs) Zec 4:1 Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:2 ============ Zec 4:2 He said to me, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it with seven spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it;(nas) Zec 4:2 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με τί σύ βλέπεις καὶ εἶπα ἑώρακα καὶ ἰδοὺ λυχνία χρυσῆ ὅλη καὶ τὸ λαμπάδιον ἐπάνω αὐτῆς καὶ ἑπτὰ λύχνοι ἐπάνω αὐτῆς καὶ ἑπτὰ ἐπαρυστρίδες τοῖς λύχνοις τοῖς ἐπάνω αὐτῆς (lxx) Zec 4:2 Et dixit ad me: Quid tu vides? Et dixi: Vidi, et ecce candelabrum aureum totum, et lampas ejus super caput ipsius, et septem lucernæ ejus super illud, et septem infusoria lucernis quæ erant super caput ejus.(vulgate) 2 ׃4 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י מָ֥ה אַתָּ֖ה רֹאֶ֑ה *ויאמר **וָאֹמַ֡ר רָאִ֣יתִי ׀ וְהִנֵּ֣ה מְנוֹרַת֩ זָהָ֨ב כֻּלָּ֜הּ וְגֻלָּ֣הּ עַל־רֹאשָׁ֗הּ וְשִׁבְעָ֤ה נֵרֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ שִׁבְעָ֤ה וְשִׁבְעָה֙ מֽוּצָק֔וֹת לַנֵּר֖וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־רֹאשָֽׁהּ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:2 und sprach zu mir: Was siehst du? Ich aber sprach: Ich sehe; und siehe, da stand ein Leuchter, ganz golden, mit einer Schale obendarauf, daran sieben Lampen waren, und je sieben Röhren an einer Lampe;(dhs) Zec 4:2 And he said to me, "What do you see?" So I said, "I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:3 ============ Zec 4:3 also two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side."(nas) Zec 4:3 καὶ δύο ἐλαῖαι ἐπάνω αὐτῆς μία ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ λαμπαδίου καὶ μία ἐξ εὐωνύμων (lxx) Zec 4:3 Et duæ olivæ super illud: una a dextris lampadis, et una a sinistris ejus.(vulgate) 3 ׃4 וּשְׁנַ֥יִם זֵיתִ֖ים עָלֶ֑יהָ אֶחָד֙ מִימִ֣ין הַגֻּלָּ֔ה וְאֶחָ֖ד עַל־שְׂמֹאלָֽהּ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:3 und zwei Ölbäume dabei, einer zur Rechten der Schale, der andere zur Linken.(dhs) Zec 4:3 Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:4 ============ Zec 4:4 Then I said to the angel who was speaking with me saying, "What are these, my lord?"(nas) Zec 4:4 καὶ ἐπηρώτησα καὶ εἶπον πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον τὸν λαλοῦντα ἐν ἐμοὶ λέγων τί ἐστιν ταῦτα κύριε (lxx) Zec 4:4 Et respondi, et aio ad angelum qui loquebatur in me, dicens: Quid sunt hæc, domine mi?(vulgate) 4 ׃4 וָאַ֙עַן֙ וָֽאֹמַ֔ר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּ֖י לֵאמֹ֑ר מָה־אֵ֖לֶּה אֲדֹנִֽי׃ Zechariah Zec 4:4 Und ich antwortete und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Mein Herr, was ist das?(dhs) Zec 4:4 So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, "What are these, my lord?"(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:5 ============ Zec 4:5 So the angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."(nas) Zec 4:5 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ εἶπεν πρός με οὐ γινώσκεις τί ἐστιν ταῦτα καὶ εἶπα οὐχί κύριε (lxx) Zec 4:5 Et respondit angelus qui loquebatur in me, et dixit ad me: Numquid nescis quid sunt hæc? Et dixi: Non, domine mi.(vulgate) 5 ׃4 וַ֠יַּעַן הַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּי֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י הֲל֥וֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ מָה־הֵ֣מָּה אֵ֑לֶּה וָאֹמַ֖ר לֹ֥א אֲדֹנִֽי׃ Zechariah Zec 4:5 Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, antwortete und sprach zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was das ist? Ich aber sprach: Nein, mein Herr.(dhs) Zec 4:5 Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:6 ============ Zec 4:6 Then he said to me, "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, 'says the Lord of hosts.(nas) Zec 4:6 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη καὶ εἶπεν πρός με λέγων οὗτος ὁ λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ζοροβαβελ λέγων οὐκ ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ οὐδὲ ἐν ἰσχύι ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐν πνεύματί μου λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Zec 4:6 Et respondit, et ait ad me, dicens: Hoc est verbum Domini ad Zorobabel, dicens: Non in exercitu, nec in robore, sed in spiritu meo, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) 6 ׃4 וַיַּ֜עַן וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר זֶ֚ה דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א בְחַ֙יִל֙ וְלֹ֣א בְכֹ֔חַ כִּ֣י אִם־בְּרוּחִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ Zechariah Zec 4:6 Und er antwortete und sprach zu mir: Das ist das Wort des HERRN von Serubabel: Es soll nicht durch Heer oder Kraft, sondern durch meinen Geist geschehen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Zec 4:6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:7 ============ Zec 4:7 'What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"'"(nas) Zec 4:7 τίς εἶ σύ τὸ ὄρος τὸ μέγα πρὸ προσώπου Ζοροβαβελ τοῦ κατορθῶσαι καὶ ἐξοίσω τὸν λίθον τῆς κληρονομίας ἰσότητα χάριτος χάριτα αὐτῆς (lxx) Zec 4:7 Quis tu, mons magne, coram Zorobabel? In planum: et educet lapidem primarium, et exæquabit gratiam gratiæ ejus.(vulgate) 7 ׃4 מִֽי־אַתָּ֧ה הַֽר־הַגָּד֛וֹל לִפְנֵ֥י זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לְמִישֹׁ֑ר וְהוֹצִיא֙ אֶת־הָאֶ֣בֶן הָרֹאשָׁ֔ה תְּשֻׁא֕וֹת חֵ֥ן חֵ֖ן לָֽהּ׃ פ Zechariah Zec 4:7 Wer bist du, du großer Berg, der doch vor Serubabel eine Ebene sein muß? Und er soll aufführen den ersten Stein, daß man rufen wird: Glück zu! Glück zu!(dhs) Zec 4:7 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! ' "(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:8 ============ Zec 4:8 Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nas) Zec 4:8 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Zec 4:8 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) 8 ׃4 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Zechariah Zec 4:8 Und es geschah zu mir das Wort des HERRN und sprach:(dhs) Zec 4:8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:9 ============ Zec 4:9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.(nas) Zec 4:9 αἱ χεῖρες Ζοροβαβελ ἐθεμελίωσαν τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον καὶ αἱ χεῖρες αὐτοῦ ἐπιτελέσουσιν αὐτόν καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ διότι κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐξαπέσταλκέν με πρὸς σέ (lxx) Zec 4:9 Manus Zorobabel fundaverunt domum istam, et manus ejus perficient eam: et scietis quia Dominus exercituum misit me ad vos.(vulgate) 9 ׃4 יְדֵ֣י זְרֻבָּבֶ֗ל יִסְּד֛וּ הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּ֖ה וְיָדָ֣יו תְּבַצַּ֑עְנָה וְיָ֣דַעְתָּ֔ כִּֽי־יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ Zechariah Zec 4:9 Die Hände Serubabels haben dies Haus gegründet; seine Hände sollen's auch vollenden, daß ihr erfahret, daß mich der HERR zu euch gesandt hat.(dhs) Zec 4:9 "The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:10 ============ Zec 4:10 For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel--these are the eyes of the Lord which range to and fro throughout the earth."(nas) Zec 4:10 διότι τίς ἐξουδένωσεν εἰς ἡμέρας μικράς καὶ χαροῦνται καὶ ὄψονται τὸν λίθον τὸν κασσιτέρινον ἐν χειρὶ Ζοροβαβελ ἑπτὰ οὗτοι ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου εἰσὶν οἱ ἐπιβλέποντες ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν (lxx) Zec 4:10 Quis enim despexit dies parvos? Et lætabuntur, et videbunt lapidem stanneum in manu Zorobabel. Septem isti oculi sunt Domini, qui discurrunt in universam terram.(vulgate) 10 ׃4 כִּ֣י מִ֣י בַז֮ לְי֣וֹם קְטַנּוֹת֒ וְשָׂמְח֗וּ וְרָא֞וּ אֶת־הָאֶ֧בֶן הַבְּדִ֛יל בְּיַ֥ד זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעָה־אֵ֑לֶּה עֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה הֵ֥מָּה מְ[t]שׁוֹטְטִ֖ים בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:10 Denn wer ist, der diese geringen Tage verachte? Es werden mit Freuden sehen das Richtblei in Serubabels Hand jene sieben, welche sind des HERRN Augen, die alle Lande durchziehen.(dhs) Zec 4:10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:11 ============ Zec 4:11 Then I said to him, "What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?"(nas) Zec 4:11 καὶ ἀπεκρίθην καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν τί αἱ δύο ἐλαῖαι αὗται αἱ ἐκ δεξιῶν τῆς λυχνίας καὶ ἐξ εὐωνύμων (lxx) Zec 4:11 Et respondi, et dixi ad eum: Quid sunt duæ olivæ istæ, ad dexteram candelabri, et ad sinistram ejus?(vulgate) 11 ׃4 וָאַ֖עַן וָאֹמַ֣ר אֵלָ֑יו מַה־שְּׁנֵ֤י הַזֵּיתִים֙ הָאֵ֔לֶה עַל־יְמִ֥ין הַמְּנוֹרָ֖ה וְעַל־שְׂמֹאולָֽהּ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:11 Und ich antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Was sind die zwei Ölbäume zur Rechten und zur Linken des Leuchters?(dhs) Zec 4:11 Then I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive trees--at the right of the lampstand and at its left?"(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:12 ============ Zec 4:12 And I answered the second time and said to him, "What are the two olive branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?"(nas) Zec 4:12 καὶ ἐπηρώτησα ἐκ δευτέρου καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν τί οἱ δύο κλάδοι τῶν ἐλαιῶν οἱ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν τῶν δύο μυξωτήρων τῶν χρυσῶν τῶν ἐπιχεόντων καὶ ἐπαναγόντων τὰς ἐπαρυστρίδας τὰς χρυσᾶς (lxx) Zec 4:12 Et respondi secundo, et dixi ad eum: Quid sunt duæ spicæ olivarum quæ sunt juxta duo rostra aurea in quibus sunt suffusoria ex auro?(vulgate) 12 ׃4 וָאַ֣עַן שֵׁנִ֔ית וָאֹמַ֖ר אֵלָ֑יו מַה־שְׁתֵּ֞י שִׁבֲּלֵ֣י הַזֵּיתִ֗ים אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּיַ֗ד שְׁנֵי֙ צַנְתְּר֣וֹת הַזָּהָ֔ב הַֽמְרִיקִ֥ים מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הַזָּהָֽב׃ Zechariah Zec 4:12 Und ich antwortete zum andernmal und sprach zu ihm: Was sind die zwei Zweige der Ölbäume, welche stehen bei den zwei goldenen Rinnen, daraus das goldene Öl herabfließt?(dhs) Zec 4:12 And I further answered and said to him, "What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?"(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:13 ============ Zec 4:13 So he answered me, saying, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."(nas) Zec 4:13 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με οὐκ οἶδας τί ἐστιν ταῦτα καὶ εἶπα οὐχί κύριε (lxx) Zec 4:13 Et ait ad me, dicens: Numquid nescis quid sunt hæc? Et dixi: Non, domine mi.(vulgate) 13 ׃4 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲל֥וֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ מָה־אֵ֑לֶּה וָאֹמַ֖ר לֹ֥א אֲדֹנִֽי׃ Zechariah Zec 4:13 Und er sprach zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was diese sind? ich aber sprach: Nein, mein Herr.(dhs) Zec 4:13 Then he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 4:14 ============ Zec 4:14 Then he said, "These are the two anointed ones who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth."(nas) Zec 4:14 καὶ εἶπεν οὗτοι οἱ δύο υἱοὶ τῆς πιότητος παρεστήκασιν τῷ κυρίῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς (lxx) Zec 4:14 Et dixit: Isti sunt duo filii olei, qui assistunt Dominatori universæ terræ.(vulgate) 14 ׃4 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אֵ֖לֶּה שְׁנֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־הַיִּצְהָ֑ר הָעֹמְדִ֖ים עַל־אֲד֥וֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Zechariah Zec 4:14 Und er sprach: Es sind die zwei Gesalbten, welche stehen bei dem Herrscher aller Lande.(dhs) Zec 4:14 So he said, "These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 5:1 ============ top of the page
