Today's Date: ======= Hebrews 10:1 ============ Heb 10:1 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near.(nas) Heb 10:1 σκιὰν γὰρ ἔχων ὁ νόμος τῶν μελλόντων ἀγαθῶν, οὐκ αὐτὴν τὴν εἰκόνα τῶν πραγμάτων, κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτὸν ταῖς αὐταῖς θυσίαις ἃς προσφέρουσιν εἰς τὸ διηνεκὲς οὐδέποτε δύναται τοὺς προσερχομένους τελειῶσαι· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:1 Umbram enim habens lex futurorum bonorum, non ipsam imaginem rerum: per singulos annos, eisdem ipsis hostiis quas offerunt indesinenter, numquam potest accedentes perfectos facere:(vulgate) כִּי הַתּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר בָּהּ רַק צֵל טֹבוֹת הָעֲתִידוֹת וְלֹא פְנֵי עֶצֶם הַטֹּבוֹת הָהֵנָּה אֵין בְּכֹחָהּ לְהָכִין שָׁלֵם לַנִּגָּשִׁים בַּזְּבָחִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר יַקְרִיבוּ תָמִיד שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה׃ א Hebrews Heb 10:1 Denn das Gesetz hat den Schatten von den zukünftigen Gütern, nicht das Wesen der Güter selbst; alle Jahre muß man opfern immer einerlei Opfer, und es kann nicht, die da opfern, vollkommen machen;(dhs) Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:2 ============ Heb 10:2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?(nas) Heb 10:2 ἐπεὶ οὐκ ἂν ἐπαύσαντο προσφερόμεναι, διὰ τὸ μηδεμίαν ἔχειν ἔτι συνείδησιν ἁμαρτιῶν τοὺς λατρεύοντας ἅπαξ κεκαθαρισμένους; (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:2 alioquin cessassent offerri: ideo quod nullam haberent ultra conscientiam peccati, cultores semel mundati:(vulgate) כִּי אִם־לֹא־כֵן הֲלֹא יֶחְדְּלוּ מֵהַקְרִיבָם עוֹד כִּי אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר הִטַּהֲרוּ הָעֹבְדִים פַעַם אַחַת אֵין לָהָם עוֹד מַחְשֶׁבֶת הַחֵטְא׃ ב Hebrews Heb 10:2 sonst hätte das Opfern aufgehört, wo die, so am Gottesdienst sind, kein Gewissen mehr hätten von den Sünden, wenn sie einmal gereinigt wären;(dhs) Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:3 ============ Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.(nas) Heb 10:3 ἀλλ᾽ ἐν αὐταῖς ἀνάμνησις ἁμαρτιῶν κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτόν, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:3 sed in ipsis commemoratio peccatorum per singulos annos fit.(vulgate) אוּלָם בַּקָּרְבָּנוֹת הָאֵלֶּה יֶשׁ־זֵכֶר לַחֲטָאִים שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה׃ ג Hebrews Heb 10:3 sondern es geschieht dadurch nur ein Gedächtnis der Sünden alle Jahre.(dhs) Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:4 ============ Heb 10:4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.(nas) Heb 10:4 ἀδύνατον γὰρ αἷμα ταύρων καὶ τράγων ἀφαιρεῖν ἁμαρτίας. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:4 Impossibile enim est sanguine taurorum et hircorum auferri peccata.(vulgate) כִּי אֵין בְּדַם פָּרִים וּשְׂעִירִים לִנְשׂא חֲטָאִים׃ ד Hebrews Heb 10:4 Denn es ist unmöglich, durch Ochsen-und Bocksblut Sünden wegzunehmen.(dhs) Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:5 ============ Heb 10:5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME;(nas) Heb 10:5 διὸ εἰσερχόμενος εἰς τὸν κόσμον λέγει, θυσίαν καὶ προσφορὰν οὐκ ἠθέλησας, σῶμα δὲ κατηρτίσω μοι· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:5 Ideo ingrediens mundum dicit: Hostiam et oblationem noluisti: corpus autem aptasti mihi:(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן בְּבֹאוֹ אֶל־תֵּבֵל אַרְצָה אָמָר זֶבַח וּמִנְחָה לֹא חָפַצְתָּ גּוּף כּוֹנַנְתָּ לִּי׃ ה Hebrews Heb 10:5 Darum, da er in die Welt kommt, spricht er: "Opfer und Gaben hast du nicht gewollt; den Leib aber hast du mir bereitet.(dhs) Heb 10:5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:6 ============ Heb 10:6 IN WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE TAKEN NO PLEASURE.(nas) Heb 10:6 ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ περὶ ἁμαρτίας οὐκ εὐδόκησας. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:6 holocautomata pro peccato non tibi placuerunt.(vulgate) עוֹלָה וַחֲטָּאָה לֹא שָׁאָלְתָּ׃ ו Hebrews Heb 10:6 Brandopfer und Sündopfer gefallen dir nicht.(dhs) Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:7 ============ Heb 10:7 "THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.'"(nas) Heb 10:7 τότε εἶπον, ἰδοὺ ἥκω, ἐν κεφαλίδι βιβλίου γέγραπται περὶ ἐμοῦ, τοῦ ποιῆσαι, ὁ θεός, τὸ θέλημά σου. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:7 Tunc dixi: Ecce venio: in capite libri scriptum est de me: Ut faciam, Deus, voluntatem tuam.(vulgate) אָז אָמַרְתִּי הִנֵּה־בָאתִי בִּמְגִלַּת־סֵפֶר כָּתוּב עָלָי לַעֲשׂוֹת רְצוֹנְךָ אֱלֹהָי׃ ז Hebrews Heb 10:7 Da sprach ich: Siehe, ich komme (im Buch steht von mir geschrieben), daß ich tue, Gott, deinen Willen."(dhs) Heb 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come-- In the volume of the book it is written of Me-- To do Your will, O God.' "(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:8 ============ Heb 10:8 After saying above, "SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, NOR HAVE YOU TAKEN PLEASURE in them" (which are offered according to the Law),(nas) Heb 10:8 ἀνώτερον λέγων ὅτι θυσίας καὶ προσφορὰς καὶ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ περὶ ἁμαρτίας οὐκ ἠθέλησας οὐδὲ εὐδόκησας, αἵτινες κατὰ νόμον προσφέρονται, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:8 Superius dicens: Quia hostias, et oblationes, et holocautomata pro peccato noluisti, nec placita sunt tibi, quæ secundum legem offeruntur,(vulgate) בְּאָמְרוֹ מֵרֹאשׁ זֶבַח וּמִנְחָה וְעוֹלָה וַחֲטָאָה לֹא חָפַצְתָּ וְלֹא שָׁאָלְתָּ וְהֵם הֵמָּה הַמּוּבָאִים לְפִי הַתּוֹרָה׃ ח Hebrews Heb 10:8 Nachdem er weiter oben gesagt hatte: "Opfer und Gaben, Brandopfer und Sündopfer hast du nicht gewollt, sie gefallen dir auch nicht" (welche nach dem Gesetz geopfert werden),(dhs) Heb 10:8 Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law),(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:9 ============ Heb 10:9 then He said, "BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL." He takes away the first in order to establish the second.(nas) Heb 10:9 τότε εἴρηκεν, ἰδοὺ ἥκω τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ θέλημά σου. ἀναιρεῖ τὸ πρῶτον ἵνα τὸ δεύτερον στήσῃ· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:9 tunc dixi: Ecce venio, ut faciam, Deus, voluntatem tuam: aufert primum, ut sequens statuat.(vulgate) אָז יֹאמַר הִנֵּה־בָאתִי לַעֲשׂוֹת רְצוֹנְךָ הֵסִיר אֶת־הָרִאשֹׁנָה לְמַעַן הָקֵם אֶת־הַשְּׁנִיָּה׃ ט Hebrews Heb 10:9 da sprach er: "Siehe, ich komme, zu tun, Gott, deinen Willen." Da hebt er das erste auf, daß er das andere einsetze.(dhs) Heb 10:9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:10 ============ Heb 10:10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.(nas) Heb 10:10 ἐν ᾧ θελήματι ἡγιασμένοι ἐσμὲν διὰ τῆς προσφορᾶς τοῦ σώματος ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ ἐφάπαξ. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:10 In qua voluntate sanctificati sumus per oblationem corporis Jesu Christi semel.(vulgate) וּבָרָצוֹן הַזֶּה אָנוּ מִתְקַדְּשִׁים בְּקָרְבַּן נֶפֶשׁ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ אֲשֶׁר הִקְרִיב פַּעַם אֶחָת׃ י Hebrews Heb 10:10 In diesem Willen sind wir geheiligt auf einmal durch das Opfer des Leibes Jesu Christi.(dhs) Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:11 ============ Heb 10:11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;(nas) Heb 10:11 καὶ πᾶς μὲν ἱερεὺς ἕστηκεν καθ᾽ ἡμέραν λειτουργῶν καὶ τὰς αὐτὰς πολλάκις προσφέρων θυσίας, αἵτινες οὐδέποτε δύνανται περιελεῖν ἁμαρτίας. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:11 Et omnis quidem sacerdos præsto est quotidie ministrans, et easdem sæpe offerens hostias, quæ numquam possunt auferre peccata:(vulgate) וְכָל־כֹּהֵן עֹמֵד לְשָׁרֵת יוֹם יוֹם וּלְהַקְרִיב פְּעָמִים שֹׁנוֹת אֶת־הַזְּבָחִים הָהֵמָּה אֲשֶׁר אֵין בָּם מֵעוֹלָם לְכַפֵּר עַל־חֲטָאִים׃ יא Hebrews Heb 10:11 Und ein jeglicher Priester ist eingesetzt, daß er täglich Gottesdienst pflege und oftmals einerlei Opfer tue, welche nimmermehr können die Sünden abnehmen.(dhs) Heb 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:12 ============ Heb 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD,(nas) Heb 10:12 οὖτος δὲ μίαν ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτιῶν προσενέγκας θυσίαν εἰς τὸ διηνεκὲς ἐκάθισεν ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ θεοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:12 hic autem unam pro peccatis offerens hostiam, in sempiternum sedet in dextera Dei,(vulgate) אֲבָל הוּא הִקְרִיב זֶבַח אֶחַד עַל־הַחֲטָאִים וַיֵּשֶׁב לִימִין אֱלֹהִים עַד־עוֹלָם׃ יב Hebrews Heb 10:12 Dieser aber, da er hat ein Opfer für die Sünden geopfert, das ewiglich gilt, sitzt nun zur Rechten Gottes(dhs) Heb 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:13 ============ Heb 10:13 waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.(nas) Heb 10:13 τὸ λοιπὸν ἐκδεχόμενος ἕως τεθῶσιν οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτοῦ ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:13 de cetero exspectans donec ponantur inimici ejus scabellum pedum ejus.(vulgate) וּמֵאָז הוּא מְיַחֵל עַד־יוּשְׁתוּ אֹיְבָיו הֲדֹם לְרַגְלָיו׃ יג Hebrews Heb 10:13 und wartet hinfort, bis daß seine Feinde zum Schemel seiner Füße gelegt werden.(dhs) Heb 10:13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:14 ============ Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.(nas) Heb 10:14 μιᾷ γὰρ προσφορᾷ τετελείωκεν εἰς τὸ διηνεκὲς τοὺς ἁγιαζομένους. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:14 Una enim oblatione, consummavit in sempiternum sanctificatos.(vulgate) כִּי בְקָרְבָּן אֶחָד הִשְׁלִים אֶת־הַמְקֻדָּשִׁים עַד־עוֹלָם׃ יד Hebrews Heb 10:14 Denn mit einem Opfer hat er in Ewigkeit vollendet die geheiligt werden.(dhs) Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:15 ============ Heb 10:15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying,(nas) Heb 10:15 μαρτυρεῖ δὲ ἡμῖν καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον· μετὰ γὰρ τὸ εἰρηκέναι, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:15 Contestatur autem nos et Spiritus Sanctus. Postquam enim dixit:(vulgate) וְגַם־רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ יָעֶד־לָנוּ כָזֹאת כִּי אַחֲרֵי אָמְרוֹ׃ טו Hebrews Heb 10:15 Es bezeugt uns aber das auch der heilige Geist. Denn nachdem er zuvor gesagt hatte:(dhs) Heb 10:15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:16 ============ Heb 10:16 "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM," He then says,(nas) Heb 10:16 αὕτη ἡ διαθήκη ἣν διαθήσομαι πρὸς αὐτοὺς μετὰ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐκείνας, λέγει κύριος, διδοὺς νόμους μου ἐπὶ καρδίας αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν διάνοιαν αὐτῶν ἐπιγράψω αὐτούς, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:16 Hoc autem testamentum, quod testabor ad illos post dies illos, dicit Dominus, dando leges meas in cordibus eorum, et in mentibus eorum superscribam eas:(vulgate) זֹאת הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר אֶכְרֹת אִתָּם אַחֲרֵי הַיָּמִים הָהֵם נְאֻם־יְהוָֹה נָתַתִּי אֶת־תּוֹרָתִי בְּקִרְבָּם וְעַל־לִבָּם אֶכְתֳּבֶנָּה׃ טז Hebrews Heb 10:16 Das ist das Testament, das ich ihnen machen will nach diesen Tagen", spricht der HERR: "Ich will mein Gesetz in ihr Herz geben, und in ihren Sinn will ich es schreiben,(dhs) Heb 10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:17 ============ Heb 10:17 "AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."(nas) Heb 10:17 καὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν καὶ τῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτῶν οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι ἔτι. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 10:17 et peccatorum, et iniquitatum eorum jam non recordabor amplius.(vulgate) יוֹסִיף יֹאמַר וְלַעֲוֹנָם וּלְחַטָּאתָם לֹא אֶזְכָּר־עוֹד׃ יז Hebrews Heb 10:17 und ihrer Sünden und Ungerechtigkeit will ich nicht mehr gedenken."(dhs) Heb 10:17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 10:18 ============ Heb 10:18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.(nas) Heb 10:18 ὅπου δὲ ἄφεσις τούτων, οὐκέτι προσφορὰ περὶ ἁμαρτίας.
