Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" Qui respondit: Ascendam: qui meus est, tuus est: populus meus, populus tuus, et equi mei, equi tui.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:7 And went, and sent to Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, saying, The King of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou goe with me to battell against Moab? And he answered, I will goe vp: for I am, as thou art, my people, as thy people, and mine horses as thine horses.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:7 und sandte hin zu Josaphat, dem König Juda's, und ließ ihm sagen: Der Moabiter König ist von mir abgefallen; komm mit mir, zu streiten wider die Moabiter! Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" And he answered, "The way of the wilderness of Edom."(nas) 2Ki 3:8 καὶ εἶπεν ποίᾳ ὁδῷ ἀναβῶ καὶ εἶπεν ὁδὸν ἔρημον Εδωμ (lxx) 2Ki 3:8 Dixitque: Per quam viam ascendemus? At ille respondit: Per desertum Idumææ.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:8 Then said he, What way shall we goe vp? And he answered, The way of the wildernesse of Edom.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:8 Und er sprach: Welchen Weg wollen wir hinaufziehen? Er sprach: Den Weg durch die Wüste Edom.(dhs) 2Ki 3:8 Then he said, "Which way shall we go up?" And he answered, "By way of the Wilderness of Edom."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 3:9 ============ 2Ki 3:9 So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom; and they made a circuit of seven days' journey, and there was no water for the army or for the cattle that followed them.(nas) 2Ki 3:9 καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιουδα καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Εδωμ καὶ ἐκύκλωσαν ὁδὸν ἑπτὰ ἡμερῶν καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὕδωρ τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ τοῖς κτήνεσιν τοῖς ἐν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῶν (lxx) 2Ki 3:9 Perrexerunt igitur rex Israël, et rex Juda, et rex Edom, et circuierunt per viam septem dierum, nec erat aqua exercitui et jumentis quæ sequebantur eos.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:9 So went the King of Israel & the king of Iudah, and the King of Edom, and when they had compassed the way seuen dayes, they had no water for the hoste, nor for the cattell that followed them.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:9 Also zog hin der König Israels, der König Juda's und der König Edoms. For the Lord has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab."(nas) 2Ki 3:10 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ὦ ὅτι κέκληκεν κύριος τοὺς τρεῖς βασιλεῖς παρερχομένους δοῦναι αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Μωαβ (lxx) 2Ki 3:10 Dixitque rex Israël: Heu! heu! heu! congregavit nos Dominus tres reges ut traderet in manus Moab.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:10 Therefore the King of Israel sayde, Alas, that the Lord hath called these three Kings, to giue them into the hand of Moab.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:10 Da sprach der König Israels: O wehe! der HERR hat diese drei Könige geladen, daß er sie in der Moabiter Hände gebe.(dhs) 2Ki 3:10 And the king of Israel said, "Alas! For the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 3:11 ============ 2Ki 3:11 But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah."(nas) 2Ki 3:11 καὶ εἶπεν Ιωσαφατ οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε προφήτης τοῦ κυρίου καὶ ἐπιζητήσωμεν τὸν κύριον παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπεκρίθη εἷς τῶν παίδων βασιλέως Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν ὧδε Ελισαιε υἱὸς Σαφατ ὃς ἐπέχεεν ὕδωρ ἐπὶ χεῖρας Ηλιου (lxx) 2Ki 3:11 Et ait Josaphat: Estne hic propheta Domini, ut deprecemur Dominum per eum? Et respondit unus de servis regis Israël: Est hic Eliseus filius Saphat, qui fundebat aquam super manus Eliæ.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:11 But Iehoshaphat saide, Is there not here a Prophet of the Lorde, that we may inquire of the Lorde by him? And one of the King of Israels seruants answered, and said, Here is Elisha the sonne of Shaphat, which powred water on the handes of Eliiah.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:11 Josaphat aber sprach: Ist kein Prophet des HERRN hier, daß wir den HERRN durch ihn ratfragen? Da antwortete einer unter den Knechten des Königs Israels und sprach: Hier ist Elisa, der Sohn Saphats, der Elia Wasser auf die Hände goß.(dhs) 2Ki 3:11 But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?" So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 3:12 ============ 2Ki 3:12 Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the Lord is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.(nas) 2Ki 3:12 καὶ εἶπεν Ιωσαφατ ἔστιν αὐτῷ ῥῆμα κυρίου καὶ κατέβη πρὸς αὐτὸν βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ καὶ Ιωσαφατ βασιλεὺς Ιουδα καὶ βασιλεὺς Εδωμ (lxx) 2Ki 3:12 Et ait Josaphat: Est apud eum sermo Domini. Descenditque ad eum rex Israël, et Josaphat rex Juda, et rex Edom.~(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:12 Then Iehoshaphat saide, The worde of the Lorde is with him. Therefore the King of Israel, and Iehoshaphat, and the King of Edom went downe to him.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:12 Josaphat sprach: Des HERRN Wort ist bei ihm. Also zogen sie zu ihm hinab der König Israels und Josaphat und der König Edoms.(dhs) 2Ki 3:12 And Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the Lord is with him." Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother." And the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to give them into the hand of Moab."(nas) 2Ki 3:13 καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε πρὸς βασιλέα Ισραηλ τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί δεῦρο πρὸς τοὺς προφήτας τοῦ πατρός σου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ μή ὅτι κέκληκεν κύριος τοὺς τρεῖς βασιλεῖς τοῦ παραδοῦναι αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας Μωαβ (lxx) 2Ki 3:13 Dixit autem Eliseus ad regem Israël: Quid mihi et tibi est? vade ad prophetas patris tui et matris tuæ. But the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 3:14 ============ 2Ki 3:14 Elisha said, "As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.(nas) 2Ki 3:14 καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε ζῇ κύριος τῶν δυνάμεων ᾧ παρέστην ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ὅτι εἰ μὴ πρόσωπον Ιωσαφατ βασιλέως Ιουδα ἐγὼ λαμβάνω εἰ ἐπέβλεψα πρὸς σὲ καὶ εἶδόν σε (lxx) 2Ki 3:14 Dixitque ad eum Eliseus: Vivit Dominus exercituum, in cujus conspectu sto, quod si non vultum Josaphat regis Judæ erubescerem, non attendissem quidem te, nec respexissem.(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:14 Then Elisha said, As the Lord of hostes liueth, in whose sight I stande, if it were not, that I regarde the presence of Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah, I woulde not haue looked towarde thee, nor seene thee.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:14 Elisa sprach: So wahr der HERR Zebaoth lebt, vor dem ich stehe, wenn ich nicht Josaphat, den König Juda's, ansähe, ich wollte dich nicht ansehen noch achten.(dhs) 2Ki 3:14 And Elisha said, "As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 3:15 ============ 2Ki 3:15 But now bring me a minstrel." And it came about, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.(nas) 2Ki 3:15 καὶ νυνὶ δὲ λαβέ μοι ψάλλοντα καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἔψαλλεν ὁ ψάλλων καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν χεὶρ κυρίου (lxx) 2Ki 3:15 Nunc autem adducite mihi psaltem. Cumque caneret psaltes, facta est super eum manus Domini, et ait:(vulgate) 2 Kings 3:15 But nowe bring me a minstrel; when the minstrel played, the hand of the Lord came vpon him.(Geneva) 2Ki 3:15 So bringet mir nun einen Spielmann!
